Alcibie tapped her foot against the wooden floor. She looked out over her own little slice of secular heaven. There was fight brewing to her right, but that hardly mattered. Night would knock them flat in a few seconds. That was one of the advantages of marrying your own personal body guard and bouncer.
The run in with Rayl had unsettled her though. How many of the others from that time had she seen? A few here and there, but she was not even certain many of them were alive. She often heard stories about them in her bar, but when was the last time she had seen a living legend.
“Oye lass,” A drunkard axe man called out to her pointing to his drink. The cleric filled it with ease as she spotted her husband moving over towards the two fighting gentlemen.

"Excuse me, sirs." Night said very calmly, approaching the two men. "We don't need to do this with fists. A mug would work so much better." He said, holding up two foaming beer mugs, and started chugging one. "Ahh..." Without warning, he then smashed the then empty glass over one of the mens skulls. "You like that?" he asked, splashing the beer onto the injured mans face before smashing the mug over the second mans head. "Huh!?" Grabbing the two men by the collars, he dragged them over to a window, which one of the regulars quickly opened before ducking out of the way. "What do we say, lads!?" he shouted.
"LEEEEROOOOOY JEEEENKIIIIINS!!!!" Was the collective reply as Night threw the two men out the window, one after another. He was such a showboat.
"Hon!" He called over to the bar. "Mix me an Ostian Thunder. I'm on fire tonight!" As if to prove his point, the bouncer and co-owner of the Soldier of Fortune started pumping his arm. Night was as likely to start a barfight as he was to end one.

Alcibie tried to roll her eyes or at least look a little irritated with her husband, but she could not help herself she laughed. She started in on Night’s drink shaking her head at the man.
“I still can’t believe I married that.” Alcibie chuckled as a man at the bar gave her a pitying look. The cleric automatically shot him a glare and the man went back to his own business. She finished the drink with ease. All her previous training in mixing apothecary’s potions paid off when it came to making drinks.
“Seriously with that attitude you are going to turn this place over.” Alcibie called out to Night with a big grin on her face she could not even work up the ‘I disapprove of you look’ all to happy to watch the man make a fool of himself…as long as it kept the paying customers entertained.

Night shrugged as he practically flung himself onto a barstool. How he managed to do both of those things at once was up to your imagination. "Hey, lifes too short to be serious." he replied, binging down his favorite liquor. Night sometimes wondered if he was Ostian. He couldn't find much of anything about the place he didn't like.
"Besides," he started, having finished his drink, "I can flip it back over with one hand. I'm the strongest man on this side of the world!" He boasted. "Hey, Alice, is it friday yet?" he asked with a wide smirk before leaning over to kiss his wife.

The cleric rolled her eyes and gave Night a look. She knew the look was futile he would shake off the look somehow. So instead she leaned over the counter instead and whispered.
“It very well could be it depends on how much money we make tonight.” Alcibie smiled to Night and laced her fingers under her face. She smirked and almost leaned in to kiss Night before sliding an ale down the counter. She smirked back at him and ruffled his hair.
“It was kind of weird seeing Rayl again.” Alcibie stated baiting Night at the mention of his ‘boss’.

Night was one of the few, if not the only, man alive (Or dead) who was totally unphazed by Alcibie's looks. "Yeah, it was nice seeing Boss." he replied. "I was wonderin' how he's been doin'. Wonder if he'll ever stumble in here...Huh? Oh, look, there he is right now. Huh...Hey, Boss, what happened to your arm! It's not on your body anymore!" he shouted. He knew Alice would turn to see this supposed sight, and when she would, he would reacher over the counter to give her a playful smack on the rear. "Gotcha, Alice." he laughed triumphantly.

She moved to smack him and slowed only when she was about to hit him. Then it changed to a much lighter knock.
“Don’t even joke.” Alcibie said with a sigh. “If Rayl or anyone we knew walked through that door bleeding we would have to put up with them until they were better and who would want to do that?” Seriously a guest they could not charge was hardly a guest worth having. Except, maybe Jya or Myra or someone else really cute, when was the last time she saw Jya?.

"Well, it got your attention. Next time, don't be such a tease." Night replied with a sly grin. "Besides, there ain't anything wrong with helping an old buddy. Have a heart to put in that nice chest of yours, Alice." he joked, moving back to avoid another of his wifes many whacks to the head.

Alcibie nearly knocked Night across the room, but the mercenary ran away, or took a tatical retreat. Having a full stock again made the cleric feel at ease, but she had to admit that she would have prefered more warning that she was about to sell out of half her stock. Then again a group of mercenaries rarely sends word ahead to a tavern. Actually, she had not liked those Mercenaries one of them had stared at her when Lilly had come into the main room. Speaking of which where was Lilly.
"Night, do you know where Lilly went to?" The Cleric did not feel the need to worry, every patron knew to stay the away from the child if they wanted to keep their limbs.

Night blinked. "Hmm...Lilly..." he pondered, thoughtfully stroking his goatee. "...Oh yeah! I put her to bed a little while ago! Figured it was getting kinda late and didn't want to bother you." he replied. "Now that that's under the bridge, another Ostian Thunder please!" Night cheered. He was married to a drop-dead gorgeous holy woman, owned an inn from which he could get *technically* free liquor, and was able to beat the hell out of people for a living. As far as he was concerned, Night was the luckiest man in Elibe.

"Oh, it's not the only thing that is under the bridge." Alcibie smirked and shook her head. Fixing up the drink for the would be alcholic, but Night was actually good about being sober enough to kick any patron out the window. Actually, most guys she kept as body guards were good at kicking things out the window.
She would never admit it aloud, but she was glad her life turned out this way. Plus she had killed off a lot of the list she had started on when she was originally kicked out of the church. "Well just tell me when you want to start kicking people out, and I'll get ready."

OOC: What's this? Epic time? Decided to move us on ahead, felt it was high time we did so. The group had traveled for quite some time, and had arrived at a tavern just a tad deep into Laus. From the sounds leaking outside, it was a rowdy place, but surely a knight, a bowman, two swordsmen and a wyvern rider were well off. Dismounting off Elibe and patting the massive warhorse on the side, he then helped Fargo off the horse (as the poor kid just couldn't seem to manage getting on or off a horse on his own...)," Well then my friends...what do you plan to do now? Surely you'd rather explore Laus on your own than tag along with man going about business that you don't really know of, hmmm?" he paused for a moment, thinking. They were all good people, and he was sure that some may leave this little group, which would be a shame, but hey: at least they met before, and that was surely a blessing of St. Elimine," Well then...shall we go inside...?" With this, he pressed his armored hand against the tavern door, slowly pushed it open, and set foot inside, unknowning of the incredible irony that he just stepped into one of the places he needed to for his journey. Once stepping inside and sitting down at an empty table, he pulled out a faded list written in elegant handwriting (he had obviously gotten help in the reading and writing department in the past five years.): My to-do list in the next month with measure of difficulty - Get forgiveness from Night. (Easy, probably take an hour) - Get forgiveness from Alcibie. (very hard, probably take a week) - Thank the Baker family. (easy, probably only a day) - Thank instructor, Captain Rowen. (maybe easy, a day or maybe two) - Find Persephone, ask for forgiveness and... (very hard, may need to take another vacation someday.)

The ride from Pherae was long, and hard. The weather had been fair to them, but the ride had not. Fargo's bottom was sore from riding on the saddle for such a long period of time. It was a relief to finally see an inn, or at least, a stable to one.
Rayl had helped him down from the horse again, and the archer was quite shaken. It took him a while before he got a sure footing on the ground. Then, Fargo straightened his posture, not bending over looking as though he would be sick, and continued to follow the cavalier. Fargo also listened to what he had to say; offering the group to go on their own way. The archer considered what he said, and refused.
"Rayl, I like traveling with you. You've helped me, since day one, which was, like, yesterday. Man, where-ever you go, I'll follow." Fargo smiled at Rayl, and followed the cavalier ever so diligently. The archer walked in to the inn after the knight, still rather sore.
When entering, he noticed it smelled strongly of alcohol. The young bowman was not used to the odoer, and gripped his bow tightly. Instead of sitting next to Rayl, Fargo decided to try and walk off the pain. He would have also examined the room, when two people in particular. They both seemed much older than he, especially the one really dark hair. The young archer decided to avoid eye contact with the man, and look aimlessly at the walls... how exhilarating.

"I'll stick around for the night at least. After all, it'll be nice to get a rest in a nice quiet inn."
Garnet enjoyed the presence of an experienced knight. The man, though not much older, clearly had seen much more action then the red headed guard-turned-mercenary. But a merc had to stay busy with work, or run out of cash. Garnet would have to find work soon, or else start begging. He would likely be moving on to his own business soon.
Once he and Abel had dismounted, Garnet took Fable into the barns and paddocked him with some hay. As he went towards the tavern, he marveled that he was able to walk at all. His legs were stiff from the ride all day, but they were quickly loosening.
"The Soldier of Fortune" He said out loud, "Couldn't have a better name." With that he walked inside and found that it wasn't quite so quiet as he had hoped. Oh well. It was a place to stay. He approached the counter to pay for his room and board.

Alcibie spotted the new comers and almost broke out in maniacal laughter. The cleric restrained herself accordingly and just chuckled when Rayl went on autopilot to one of the tables and just planted himself down. Luckily for Rayl he had not chosen a seat in the path of Night’s ritualistic window throw. She glanced back over to her husband only to realize the man had yet to realize who exactly had walked in the bar.
Alcibie shook her head to herself and decided that she was going to ignore both men until one noticed the other because honestly she could always use more entertainment. Finishing the drink she was working on she slammed the mug down in front of the patron passed out at the counter.
“Oi, this is your last one so once your down walk your ass out of here, else I will have someone walk it out for you.” Alcibie nearly barked at the man. The guy snapped up and nodded repeatedly before even daring to touch his drink. The cleric smiled sweetly and left the man to regain his composure.
Alcibie blinked as one of the men from Rayl’s group approached her without the soldier. He then began to talk to her about paying for a room. Mini Alcibie demanded she take the man’s money and give him a room. Another voice spoke up in her mind that sounded like an odd combination of Night and Lilly spoke about how Alcibie should be nice to the man traveling with Rayl.
“Hey…” Alcibie said with a big sigh. “Just give me a second. I’ll fix up an apothecary mix for the archer then I’ll give you some ale for you and Rayl. Then I’ll think about making you pay for putting you up here.” Alcibie smirked already working on the tonic for the boy who looked like he had just ridden on the first of Rayl’s possessed horses. She cringed mentally at the memory of being flung off the horse as she finished up all the drinks.
“Here this is for the kid, and these two are for you and the buffoon, who will probably getting my husband all riled up in about three seconds.” Alcibie handed him the drinks and tried not to cry at the money she was letting walk away for free.
