Garnet laughed along with the rest of the bar as the inebriated customer fell from his stool.
"Can you throw him outside Night?" Alcibie quipped to her bouncer. Now Garnet understood why there were scuffs on the window.
He listened as the news and rumors of Etruria were recounted back to him. "It sounds pretty bad then. The majority of the population there don't have a true picture of what's going on. Or, at least, central Etruria didn't."
"Hmm...Holy War... If that is the goal of this prophet, then perhaps I understand why the my village was struck. They needed an enemy in order to build zeal and fervor, and my village was picked..." Garnet mulled over these thoughts before speaking.
"I haven't heard much news recently, but I don't think he'll stop at persecuting the people who enter his country. Some of the things I've seen make sense when put into the context of preparation of Holy War." As he said these things he recalled his home, burning, but as the thoughts came together in his head he realized that more was threatened than his home.
As they had been speaking, Garnet noticed a few new entries to the bar. One was Abel, who approached them. "I was wondering when you'd make it in."
Garnet made introductions for the three. Introducing Abel as yet another companion from the road.

[OOC: Do you wish for Alcibie to pull voodoo magic and heal your arm or is it already healed. I am a little confused.]
Alcibie stood from her chair and went back over to the counter filling the orders she put aside to talk. She tried to decide what she thought of the new comers. Rayl was the same as ever slipping off when he thought no one was looking, except he seemed to be getting worse at it. The archer was trying to do the same thing, but Alcibie thinks that is more out of fear of her husband. Garnet seemed far too concerned with something else, Alcibie knew more rumors, but he seemed fine with what she gave him. Abel was who Alcibie was concerned about his arm appeared to be broken and he had some guy staring at him. She shook off the weird feeling and went for her staff. The girl standing in the corner looked familiar, but Alcibie was having a hard time placing her.

Night gave his wife a funny salute. "Your wish is my command!" he chirped, before sauntering over to do his duty. Lifting the man by his shirtneck and the waist of his pants, the bouncer casually carried him to the window. Rocking the man back and forth a few times, Night then keelhauled him out the window. "ASTA LA VISTA, BABY!"

Cefia readjusted her monocles when a man flung a customer out the window. Well, she could sure say this was a lively and pleasant inn...with a bar. Thinking back she couldn't resist the urge to have a drink or two, perhaps a couple more than the legal limit. She strolled down to the counter, her steps heavy from the varying equipments. It was safe to say that she was stronger than most girls her age, but it had been a hassle as well. Plopping herself on the counter, she issued for some large amounts of rum. The taste for alcoholic beverages came quite a some time ago. She had her ears up for any news of the world.

OoC: Abel's arm has a large gash on it and had recently been reopened by his reckless run to get down stairs earlier that morning. (Heal it if you want to.)
IC:Abel was amused when he saw Night throw the drunk out the window. He was going to ask Garnet what he was going to do next when his father showed up. After gulping down his water, his father headed towards him. "What are you doing here?" he asked his father. "Looking for you," he changed his voice to a whisper,"I think I found the bandit camp your sister was taken to." "What?!" "Yes, and I'm going to send you and some people I'll hire with you to see if she's there." "Why do you have such hope?" "She is my daughter, and your sister! How could you abandon any hope?" "What makes you think Kasey is alive?" "I feel it in my heart. Now get ready to leave in a couple of days." "I want you to meet my friend Garnet. And I want to train." "Good, because it's likely I won't go with you. Now, let me meet your friend." Abel turned to Garnet and smiled nonchalantly. "This is my father, Marco."

Alcibie shook her head at the sight in front of her. She honestly could not believe her eyes there was a giant green haired thing sitting in front of her asking for more and more drinks. She set the drinks down and an extra one to grow on. Afterwards she picked up her staff and moved back over to the table.
“Let me see.” It was sort of a request if someone did not know Alcibie enough. The tall brutish man who had stalked over to the table to speak to Abel looked at her funny for a second before he spotted the staff. Most of her kind had fled back to Etruria over the years, but some stayed behind smelling the stench coming from Saint Elimine’s Prophet.
She unwrapped the cloth to get a better look at the wound. Holding the staff with her right hand she investigated the wound with her left. The staff emitted a blue glow as the cut re-stitched itself.
It was slightly disturbing to Alcibie how quickly her magic had grown after Lilly was born. She had a feeling the entire time she was pregnant with the girl the child had been feeding off her magic or something like that because the fact a five year old could cast fire spells scared her.

Fargo was finally at the door. He was just about to leave the now crowding room, when a lady pushed her way through the tavern, straight to the bar. The archer had jumped out of her way just in time, as he would have been trampled on. He was going to say something, but stopped himself. Fargo saw that the woman had more of a menacing look to her.
Again, the young man was interrupted from leaving, when Abel walked in. Fargo gave a small wave. He had wondered where the myrmidon had gone off too. Once more, the archer was just about to pull open the door, when he was stopped by a very large, greened haired man. Fargo had froze, seeing that the man had an axe at his side. It took a few seconds for the young man to take his eyes off the taller, muscular man. He then bolted out the door, still very afraid.
When slightly jogging outside, looking back every now and then, the novice archer came to the stables. Fargo saw Rayl and Zakon, and relaxed his tensed body. He felt safe around Rayl, as he always was so calm and peaceful. As for Zakon, the archer took a liking to him, seeing how the two must have been close to the same age. Fargo slowed his jog to a walk, and came up to the two, with a friendly smile on his face. Now that the young archer felt safe, he said to the two, "Hey guys, how's it going?" Needless to say, Fargo had no idea what the two had been talking about.

Garnet saw Alcibie come over with a heal staff. He was always amazed by the power that was at the fingertips of staff wielders. They were able to heal injuries almost instantaneously. The power to restore things to wholeness. The ability he had trained in, combat with the sword, could only hurt and maim things. This had bothered him until he accepted the neccessity for defenders of the masses.
He turned back to the moment. There was a man Abel was giving introductions for: Marco. The red-head gathered that Marco was Abel's father, and an experienced hero of the field.
Garnet turned to the big man, and greeted him. "Hello Marco, I'm Garnet. I met Abel and some others on the road and we traveled together from there." The sword on Garnet's left hip announced his vocation clearly enough, though it was stashed in an out of the way position while in "The Soldier of Fortune."
Garnet had heard some mention about bandit camps and such. From the conversation, it sounded like Abel had a sister that had been abducted by bandits. Garnet didn't like bandits....

Rayl looked up from his encounter with Zakon to see the green haired boy, and met him with a smile," Hello there young Fargo." he gave a slight wave of the hand as a greeting, but to Zakon it could be seen as a signal that the conversation was over, or at least put on hold for the time being: if the boy was skittish about horses, a dragon surely wouldn't help the situation.
"I will be heading into town for awhile. Lance needs repairing, you see. Please inform the others." with this he patted Elibe on the snout, rested his weapon on his shoulder, and walked past the the two companions, outside the stable, and away from the tavern and into the town. First stop: the smithy to fix his war torn weapon, then while it's being fixed: The Bakery. Then, pick up the weapon then get Elibe and ride to castle Laus...
Sure he planned things too much nowadays, but at least he wasn't planning at all like he used to...

Abel thanked Alcibie and thought about telling Garnet when his father said,"Pleased to meet you Garnet. Are perhaps looking for work? I'm sending Abel south and I was looking for some men to send with him. You see, his sister Kasey was taken by bandits years ago and I believe I have found their camp at last.Would you interested?" Oh great, so much for deciding. His father continued,"All though I think Abel might need to get his armor repaired and-" "I want some black clothes." Abel interjected trying not to show his embarrassment about his armor. "Okay... so do you want the job? Name your price," his father finished.

Cefia gulped down the rest of her drink, focusing back onto her book. She pulled out a copy of,"Wondrous Tales" Perhaps she had always had a high tolerance of alcohol, but no matter how much she drank, she rarely truly gone drunk. Her ears however caught sight of quite some interesting things, talks about bandits.
"Yar, bandits are th' scourge of th' land," with that comment she slinked away back to her book. Bandits...she hated them, not sure why, but it simply came to be.

The young archer watched as Rayl walked off to repair his weapon. It made Fargo think about his bow, and if he would soon need to see a bowyer on this journey. But he knew that would be quite a while before that was needed. Fargo had not used his bow much this whole time, and he accepted it. He had decided that later he would practice aiming at targets.
Fargo then turned his attention on Zakon. Zakon; what a cool name, he thought to himself. The young archer decided to talk to his comrade. "Hey Zakon, if you'd like, we could, like, go into town and look around after we tell the group about Rayl. Whadd'ya say?" Fargo was usually optimistic about making friends. He also thought that Zakon could use a friend around the same age as him. Keeping a light smile on his face, the young archer waited for a response.

Marco was offering him a job. It's true that Garnet was looking for work, but he hadn't expected to find it quite so soon. Thinking for a moment, he came up with a moderate price. He wouldn't sell himself too high, especially not to an acquaintance, but he wouldn't sell himself short either. Business is business, after all.
"I'll go. Besides, I've already promised Abel I'd spar with him a bit. I will not however, guarantee that I'll stick around after the mission."
After naming his price to Marco, Garnet glanced over towards a green haired woman at the counter. She had called bandits "The scourge of the Land". It seemed like she didn't like bandits, though she was dressed in rough equipment like a bandit. Of course he was one to talk, with his scuffed up armor. He felt as though he should recall where that type of speech was from. He remembered hearing it a time or two growing up in his home.
His mind went back to the matter at hand. Marco had spoken of hiring soldiers to send with Abel. Garnet wondered if this axe lady was looking for work, because she looked quite capable of cracking some skulls.

Abel was glad Garnet would come and then his dad announced: "I'm hiring people to go with my son to get information from a bandit camp south of here." Abel hung his head and asked Garnet: "Do you want to spar now?"

OoC: We'll need to move the story forward... If they haven't joined in the next few posts, they won't join.
IC:
"Sure, why not." Garnet replied to Abel. He got up and headed to the stableyard out back. It was beginning to get dark after their day of travel, but there was still enough light to spar with.
As he headed outside, The merc saw a man nudge his companion in the gut and soon a small crowd of people were following outside to watch. Garnet realized that, either people would begin gathering at the Soldier of Fortune to view the match, or the crowd would start to brawl. This unnerved him a little, but he imagined that Night was quite capable of stopping it from getting to out of hand.
Garnet stretched and adjusted his armor. He pulled his buckler out and readied his sword, "We'll have to be careful. Even in practice, these weapons are dangerous... I'd suggest throwing your armor on for this." There was a small crowd of people that had formed and were taking bets on the fight to come.
