OOC: To prevent from boredom, I will refrain from extensive NPC interation goodness. And yes, we need to find some way to get in on the story action.
IC: Rayl returned from the smithy, his trusty lance rested against his shoulder, and a smile upon his face: With such a short time, he was able to get forgiveness from the Baker family, from his instructor, who had retired from service to the castle and lived nearby (and a frequent visitor to The Soldier of Fortune), as well as from Alcibie (amazingly.). This left him with one objective: Travel to Ilia and find Persephone. With this excess of time, he was sure that he'd be able to find her, and his heart felt almost as mended and repaired as his weapon now was.
He went into the stables to check up on Elibe, feeding his friend a sugar cube, before venturing back out to check out the commotion that was going on outside, and looked at the two combatants, who were two of his comrades. Now, being the man he was and forgetting that they had planned to spar at some point, his hand tensed it's grip on his lance, and he was about to go in and break up the ruckus, before stopping: He was a knight of Pherae, he had no authority here and as such could not do anything without causing a much worse incident, and so quietly shuffled back into the tavern, resting his lance against the wall:
" Alright, now what exactly is going on?"

Abel followed Garnet outside and when he sugested he put his armor on, he obliged. Abel placed his bag on the ground. He opened it up and started taking his armor out. his armor was mint green and tight fiting. At least my armor works when I need it and it isn't lose he thought. It took Abel two minutes to put his armor on. He didn't have a shield because he relied on speed and didn't bother putting his helm on. "I'm ready," he said to Garnet. A small crowd gathered round as they shook hands.Abel drew his sword and prepared to fight.
OoC:I just relized this is going to hurt bad. Did I not put enough stats or are myrmadons that week compared to mercenaries?

Cefia got bored sitting around in the bar while other people were out there watching a fight. There had been plenty of brawl fights back at her ship, but she only attended a few. To be more correct, she was more often a competitor than an actual spectator than someone who bets on others. As her captain once said,"If you want something done right, do it yourself!" Truthfully, she didn't expect much from this rag tag group to face off against a team of bandits, but was that the ignorant pirate in her speaking!?
"Aye, hey me'll come alon with dat raid o' yours," she told the man, never bothering to hear a reply. With that, she made her way to see, just exactly how well those two fought. If she was lucky there could be news on what was going on in the continent.

OoC: It won't hurt. We'll "pull our punches". It's training after all, not combat. Remember, 1/2 exp for sparring posts.
By the way, how many people are still watching this thread?
IC:
The inn's yard was fairly large and had a large clearing in the back. The sounds of the town were washing over the the crowd, largely ignored.
"All right then, here we go." Garnet said to his partner across the dirt yard. He was interested in how the younger man had learned to use his sword.
All was set. Garnet moved in, swinging his sword towards the myrmidon's midsection in a strong, quick blow. The buckler in his left hand was ready to go to wherever it was needed. Now, he just needed to see how Abel would react.

Abel cartwheeled to the side, brining himself close to Garnets blade. He executed the cartwheel perfectly, landing behind Garnet. He then made an upward slash, trying to trip him.

OOC: Unless anyone rebels, I am having a time skip occur because it was the middle of the night when you guys arrived. So, You woke up to brawl it out, or beat the drunken stupor out of each other. Though Abel shouldn’t be hung over Cefia might be though. You are correct in assuming there is a ring outside, because Night special bouncer ability comes with a ring outside then Alcibie charges the patrons to heal their wounds. I mean how else would this place survive, people do not come back for the service. BIC-
Alcibie shook her head at the group outside. Actually she was more shocked they were capable of doing anything before noon. Of course once they decided they were going to brawl the entire place woke up and rambled outside. Even if it was not Night purposely kicking someone’s… …the crowd still enjoyed the fighting.
Alcibie was vaguely concerned about Night jumping in there, but he knew not to kill anyone. Lilly would probably wake up soon and if she got to excited she would probably start another fire outside.
“Oi! Don’t break the ring!” Alcibie yelled outside hoping the contestants would hear her or one of the regulars would cue them in.

When Alcibie mentioned a fighting ring, he relaxed his civil urge to go out and stop it, but at the same time his whole religious views started to wrack at his mind: gambling on a fight? If Arenas weren't bad enough! The teachings of St. Elimine condemned such acts! Again he would have wanted to stop them, but again he could do nothing, so he just leaned against the wall, brooding, before addressing Alcibie once more," I thank you again for taking my friends in...I believe I'll head out for Ilia in the morning though, I...still need to find Persephone."
With this he took a moment to look at his list, since his errands into town, he had made peace with the Baker family, along with his instructor...in just a few days too...that means he had almost a whole month to track down Persephone. He smiled down at the list, then stuffed it away, and looked to the ceiling, which was an obstructioon of his view of the heavens, and silently uttered a prayer for the fortune of this soldier...
OOC: Uggh, did I really do that Soldier of Fortune bit thing?

OoC: Ok, readers in the future can just cut and paste it together themselves. I'm all mixed up about times. So now it is very early in the morning...? And Garnet won't be drunk. He drinks very little.
BiC:
Abel slipped to the side and avoided Garnet's blade. It was a good dodge, but it had been a rather basic attack as well. Garnet felt Abel's blade connect with the armor on his shins and skate up and away.
"A good counter attack-" Garnet said as he twisted quickly around. He brought his sword around and placed it like a wall to keep Abel from side stepping away.-",but not as effective on armor."
Bringing his buckler up, he attempted to smash it into Abel's armor, ready to step in and pursue the myrmidon if he was able.
Garnet heard someone shout about not breaking the ring, and decided to not throw any really heavy blows tonight.

Garnet heard a resounding gong as his shield struck Abel's cuirass. He prowled forward, ignoring the slight pain in his knees where his armor had impacted. He'd had worse before.
Abel was nimble. Far more nimble than Garnet, though he couldn't see the myrmidon getting away with any more flashy dodges. Garnet circled for a moment, oblivious of the crowd cheering around them. He ignored Abel's response, diving in and thrusting with his sword toward the other man's shoulder.
The thing that made Garnet's fighting style effective was that when someone got past his sword, they still had to deal with his buckler. Of course, the buckler couldn't be everywhere at once.

Abel quickly used the flat of his blade to slide it down Garnets and poke him in the shoulder. He jumped backwards to retreat but tripped and fell. Pain shot through his arm as he landed on it. Great, not only did he hit my arm with his buckler, no I've landed on it and probrably broke it.

OoC: Just letting you know... though I'm easygoing, and don't mind, when you implied that my charrie hit your charrie with the buckler, that was a form of God-modding (controlling my character). I probably would have used a different tactic, myself. Don't worry about it this time, but just make sure you leave your posts open ended for my responses...
BiC:
Garnet watched as Abel's blade quickly slid down his own. The maneuver was too quick to avoid. A blow struck the merc on the shoulder, near a chink in the his armor. Garnet was certain that if he had wanted to, the myrmidon could have slipped it right past the armor.
Garnet twisted awkwardly, trying to smack the younger man with his buckler. He was able to strike a glancing blow on his opponents arm, but Abel was to quick and jumped back out of reach for a particularly effective hit.
As Garnet recovered from that skirmish, he watched Abel continue his step... and miss the ground. When the myrmidon hit the ground, Garnet grimaced. He'd heard a popping sound that sounded like a bone breaking.
"Oh, that didn't sound good... Looks like the show's over." Garnet said loud enough for the crowd to hear. "Some one, please find a healer." He noticed the rough looking axe girl had been watching in the crowd, and walked over. She looked like she knew how to fight, and he finally remembered where her accent was from. "So, what do you think? Am I cut out for the sea?"
OoC: Unless I'm mistaken, Abel does not have have computer access on weekends... Not sure about that though...

The cleric heard the sound of bone snapping from inside the tavern. She really wished she could unset her ears to whatever sensitivity setting the clergy set them to, but whenever someone was knocked too badly around she knew. Rubbing the back of her neck she wiped down the counter and peered outside her face warping from concern to anger, then quickly back to concern.
Really who was this kid, Yaen? Woah that was another face she had not run into for a while. Actually, Alcibie turned back around grabbing her staff, if she could help it she hoped not to run into him again. The swordsman seemed to have trouble on his heels.
… … …!
Alcibie stared at the other green haired thing on the other side of the ring. It couldn’t be? No. Not the Crazy Pirate Lady!
OOC- I will heal him later if he does not have weekend access, kind of awkward trying to heal someone who will not be able to respond. Also I completely understand not having access to the net believe me.

OOC: Wait- did Rayl ever meet Cefia? I forget...
IC: When Alcibie dashed out the tavern for some unknown reason, he grabbed his lance and marched on out after her, and soaked in the events. Abel was on the ground, the crowd was in an uproar of cheers and anger from winning and losing bets, and Garnet was talking to a green haired woman, who looked like a sort of...pirate?
Ugh...pirates...bandits of the seas: he hated them both. But if they weren't doing anything, then he wasn't going to...that and he had no real legal authority here.

Cefia, watched the fight, but found it no more interesting than any other brawls she encountered. Pirates came in all shapes, sizes, personalities, and so on; anyone can pretty much say they're a pirate, but unless they were truly dedicated to the work, they were just wannabes. That was what she believed in and stuck to for the past few years of training and working. When the fight finally ended, she let out a sigh of relief, finding that hopefully she could get over the job. One thing that she didn't expect was the fact that the red headed man to confront her.
"Listen 'ere m'boy, ye can be fit for th'sea, but unless ye is willin, ta dedicate d'eir life than ya not a pirate," Cefia replied, her voice somewhat annoyed by the question, than she realized that perhaps her accent was too strong and a bit hard to understand...
"Urr...sorry, I mean if you're not willing to put your life for the sea, you're not truly considered to be a pirate," she corrected herself, sure sometimes people found the change in tone a bit remarkable, but sometimes proper wordings were required to interest with people that lived on land.
