She . . . was lost. It was ridiculous. Love had tried her best to go back the way she had come from (exploring Bern had seemed quite easy before) but at night, well it was just ridiculous. The moon was out and soon bandits would be too. And even though Love was fairly well trained, she still wouldn't have liked to put up with a whole grouping herself.
Sighing and hiding behind a large tree, the young girl decided it was best to find a family somewhere and politely ask them to host her for the night. But then again, where on earth was she going to find a peasant family (nobles never let her in) out here in the middle of the forest/mountains? And Love hadn't brought a tent either, so there was no way she was going to be sleeping outside.
Worried and frightened, the girl clutched her cape tightly and began running at a fast speed off in a direction. Soon enough she began to see . . . well it wasn't clear that it was, but there was a shape in the mist. Running up she saw it was a triangle, or rather a tent. In front of it (hidden from Love's view) was most likely a fire. That meant someone was here. And not bandies (thank goodness) because bandits would never camp outside alone.
Sneaking up quietly, as she did not want to disturb whoever was on the other side of the encampment, Love's spirits rose. Maybe she could pay whoever to let her stay with him/her for the night. After all everybody in Bern was supposed to be strong and powerful right? No doubt they could protect her.
SNAP. A branch twisted and broke under Love's foot. She had not been as quiet as she thought she was.
