"Gabriel..." He repeated the name. "I will remember. Maintain your search for knowledge, but know this. There are some places humans are never meant to go, and these exist for a reason, even if you do not understand it. Sometimes understanding it is too late to prevent a catastrophe."
He then turned back to Saffra before placing his hand on her shoulder. "I do not think it is so...but I don't think it is totally negative wind. It makes me restless, as if I should be doing something. The air of the last millennium had stolen that, made me feel lethargic and weak. I still feel my strength sapped...but almost as if a call to action."
He looked off to the sky. "I must search this world...I will see you again if I discover more. Something is calling." He then resumed his full form, after stepping away from the group. His large dragon form towering over them once again, he flapped his mighty wings until he at an altitude he could fly, but seemed to be looking over the group once more.
And then, without a word, he took off into the sky to the north.

As Karina had yet to return, Chelsea slowly left her tent. There was only so long she could wait in her tent. As slowly looked around the camp, trying to see if she was anywhere near, but again could not find her. She sighed sadly. She started to aimlessly walk around the camp, hey eyes sweeping as she walked. She gave a wide birth to Kelvin for the time being and wandered a bit away from the group again. Vaguely she noticed that dragon guy from earlier was gone, but didn't really care about him right now.
As she walked, the archer heard the sound of marching and horses. Thinking quickly, she pulled out her bow and started to get an arrow ready. Before she could do much of anything, a group of soldiers was heading towards her. She couldn't make out the banner so she waited until they got closer. When the man in the front noticed her, he held up a hand and rode towards her. "Greetings, Miss. Would you happen to be a part of Sir Rayl's group?"
Chelsea gave a little nod. "I am."
"Fantastic. I am Marquess Darron, the new Marquess of Araphen. I come bearing our request to join your forces. We've met up with your Sir Rayl in Araphen yesterday. He is a great man."
Chelsea gave another little nod. "That he is." She turned and started back to camp. "Follow me, I'll lead you to our commander." She lead the group into camp, looking around for Lady Lucy. She didn't spot her, but did see Gabriel nearby. "Sir Gabriel? These soldier says they're from Araphen. The met Rayl there and say they want to join us." She started to walk away, giving the two men time to talk.
Before she got too far, a soldier from the new group came running over to her. Excuse me, would you be Lady Chelsea? When the archer nodded, he handed out a letter. "Sir Rayl asked me to give this letter to you." Chelsea took the letter uncertainly. Rayl had written to her?

Gabriel stood back as the dragon took off. Something bothered Aerious...but what? He felt as if he had to do something...? Were Kraft's actions the cause of this?
Not long after, the sound of hooves snapped him back to reality. When did they get this close? Chelsea introduced the group of soldiers to the mage. Wait, why to him? Where was Lady Lucy? He took a look around. A fruitless search. She would turn up later, saying that she had been tracing a route to follow in her yet-to-be-taken-down tent.
One of the men of the group approached him. His armor seemed bulkier than that of the rest of the men, and his horse had some extra embellishments on it.
"Sir Darron of Araphen, we are glad to have your support" Gabriel said, extending his hand in gratitude. The man was around two feet taller than he was, and obviously much older. Probably an odd sight for anyone nearby.
"How did you come to meet Sir Rayl?"
Why did he go to Araphen? Wasn't he headed back to Pherae? Araphen wasn't even in our list of destinations...

Kelvin had spent a lot of time searching for his brother, but couldn't find him. Still, he had cleared his mind and was now thinking clearly. He needed some way to get back on speaking terms with Chelsea, the only problem was that she was keeping a sizable distance from him. He really couldn't blame her, what he had done was uncalled for and very sudden. He felt like an idiot, but he was used to it.
It was then that he realized that some newcomers had arrived, and were talking to Chelsea. Kelvin realized that this was his chance to make things right. He strode towards the newcomers and pretended to be listening. When one of them handed Chelsea a letter, Kelvin finally spoke up. "What does it say?" he asked, turning his head in an attempt to see the letter.

When she heard Kelvin's voice, Chelsea didn't even try to slip away. "I-I don't know... I just know it's from Rayl..." What could be so important that he would write to her, so soon after leaving? She looked around then started off, not caring if Kelvin followed or not. She just knew she wanted a private place to read this letter. After walking for a few minutes, she ended up at the same place where Kelvin had kissed her what seemed like years ago now. As she sat down to read it, it dawned on her. Maybe Rayl had found her father! Yes! It made sense! Rayl had found her father after he left and they were together! She opened the letter and started reading.

Wyatt was still slightly shocked from the sudden appearance, long after it's departure. Eventually he regained enough composure to go over to where Gabriel and Saffra were, though he felt thoroughly embarrassed.
"Um...I said some...kind of mean things back there...sorry about that." He said, addressing both of them. "I don't really have an excuse, but I am sorry I let myself fly off the handle like that. Since I never really introduced myself, I am Wyatt."
He wasn't sure how they'd react, though he knew how they should.

Saffra gave a small smile to Aerious, just before he departed, but stood firm as he took off. She watched him leave, and gave a small wave at his departure. he really wasn't all as bad as she had heard him to be. Grinning, she looked to Gabriel, who was already involved with the Araphen messenger and delegate, and shrugged her shoulders then turned to look at Wyatt as he neared, and took on a look of someone who would seem to get defensive.
After his apology, it was hard to stay as she did, and lightened up, moving a hand behind her back, missing the feel of the weight of he wings on her back, and gave a small sigh as she rounded her eyes back onto hi, and shook her head.
"Pleased to meet you, Wyatt, and thank you for the apology, but you're not the first to really react as you did, so please, don't worry too much about it.."
She peered around a bit and noticed that Aevian wasn't with him anymore, and gave a thoughtful look to Wyatt.
"Looks like your companion went with Rayl afterall...and appears she went to Araphen.."
With a small motion, she thumbed towards the man Gabriel had been addressing, having overheard their little talk, but shrugging her shoulders.
"So, what will you do now?"

Kelvin, now very interested in what Rayl had said, followed after Chelsea to the place where he had kissed her earlier. Normally he would have left once he realized where he was, but he wanted to know what news Rayl had sent, as well as repair a broken relationship. He sat down near her and waited for her to finish reading the letter.

"Pleased to meet you, Sir Gabriel. Sir Rayl helped us get rid of the tyranny in Araphen. An Etrurian man had taken control of Araphen, and Sir Rayl got rid of him."
"I see. As helpful as always. Again, thank you for your support, Sir Darron." He turned back to the rest of the group, as Wyatt talked to him and Saffra.
"Don't worry about it. And pleased to formally meet you, Sir Wyatt" Lady Aevian had introduced both of them before, but the fighter had never given him name to anyone personally.
At that point, Lady Lucy made her entrance. She explained that she had gone back to her tent out of fright when the dragon appeared, and so as not to feel useless, she traced a path for the group to follow for the next few days using her map. She explained that from their location, going straight north would get them to Caelin. From there, they'd have to march west and cross a river to get to Laus, and finally move northwest to get to Ostia, if that was still part of the plan.

Wyatt was glad they seemed to recover from his initial actions quickly, but he blinked a bit surprised at Gabriel. "Sir? Oh I'm not a knight, I'm just a simple smith. But...by your dress you are from a noble house, right?"
He looked about, thinking on the plan...back to Laus again eh? He really wanted to get to Ostia quickly, but he couldn't go alone, and Aevian had vanished during the dragon's appearance. Though he now became aware that he knew nobody in this group, since Sir Rayl and Lady Aevain had departed...

"Oh, it's just a mannerism of mine. If I notice that someone is older than I am, I refer to them as such. And yes, I am from the noble house of Waltz. Or was. Whatever the case, I am no longer a part of Etruria."
"Well, I believe it's time to part. Staying here will do us no good" he said to those nearby. Lady Lucy greeted Sir Darron and rose her voice, making herself be heard above the rest of the soldiers, while getting on her horse.
"Soldiers, we are moving out! Off northward towards Caelin!"
Not long after that, the remaining tents were taken down and the small army was up and ready to go. Those without horses were offered one. Sir Rayl had been smart, and brought several spare mounts in case any of the horses they had ran off or was killed. They also carried some of the load, so as to avoid having the soldiers carry it all. Lady Lucy offered Gabriel a horse of his own, and said that she herself would teach him how to ride on the go, making sure to stay next to the mage to keep him from falling off.
OoC: Feel free to do as you wish as a final post for this topic. Someone start a new one in Caelin once this one seems done for.

Kelvin sat there for a while, and when he felt Chelsea no longer needed him, he stood, and nodded at Chelsea. The troops were moving on, and Kashmir, his horse, had come to find him.
He patted the horse on the head and praised him. Climbing on top, he urged Kashmir towards the troops, and slowed him to a trot, falling in line with the other troops.

It took Chelsea a while to finally stop crying. After Kelvin left, she wiped away the last remnants of her tears and whistled for Spirit. As the horse came riding up, she jumped up onto her back. It felt nice to be on her again, especially after everything that had happened. She gave Spirit a soft pat on the head as they rode to join up with everyone else. She stayed away from most everyone, including Kelvin and Karina. She wanted to think and she had lots to think about. She doubted she'd talk before the got to Caelin.
