Chelsea gave a little smile. "It's alright, it was just introductions. Nothing serious." She gave a little yawn. It had been a long day. "You're Sir Merio, correct?" She was so bad with names sometimes it never hurt to check and re-check. "Seems like you two had a pretty tough trip."

Wyatt watched the two brothers go back and forth, and felt a twang of guilt. He and his sister used to be like that...he wondered if she was ok still? Bah, of course she was, nothing ever happened back home. AHe turned toward Aevian with a smile.
"Me? Tired? Hah! I've got strength to spare!" He said, flexing his arm. "Have you forgotten the trip I took down that river? A little rain isn't gonna wear me out!" Well his flare was certainly not dampened by the rain. He then noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Everyone was busy conversing and merry making, but he saw something moving down the road, something else. It was making attempts to be sneaky though, which meant it was probably not an animal. Since he was currently engaging Aevian in conversation he jerked his head to the side with a serious look in his eyes, and then reached for his axe, but did not draw it.
He stood there with his hand on it, half glancing down the path. Whatever it was would have to be crazy to attack a company this big, but you never knew. It might not be human or animal.

Yaen slowly raised his arms over his head. "That depends entirely on you, although I do not have malicious reasons for being here." The Sacaen replied. "I'm just a drifter of sorts, and I happened to drift near your camp." He explained. It was a little cryptic, but he wasn't trying to hide anything. "Is it alright if I put my arms down? Ones injured, and it hurts to hold it up like this."

The voice struck into Wyatt's ears, and he released his grip on his axe. If the voice didn't confirm it, the face that showed itself sure did.
"Yaen! You're ok!" He exclaimed. "You got out ok, that's great! Where is everybody else?"
Yaen may have been the advance scout, that seemed likely. So it was probably just over the hill where Denzel and the others were. What were they doing this off course though?

"Oh, Wyatt! Not to sound offensive, but I didn't think I'd be this happy to see you!" Yaen replied, lowering his arms. "I'm sorry, Wyatt, I wish I knew. I got seperated from the rest of them. I woke up next to a river, and I've been lost ever since. By the way, you have any aloe juice? This burn is affecting my swordplay, and I'm not sure if a vulnerary will work. Didn't want to waste it finding out."

"There is a healer at that tent there."Aren said as he looked to Yaen. He pointed to a tent next to the girls and the two knights talking. "They can cure the wounds for you."He said. He then walked back to his horse as he petted it as he sat against a tree, grabbing his flute playing a song.

...and now another man appeared...he looked awfully familiar to that one Sacaen nomad from The Hargus Incident...however, it was best not to jump to assumptions. Rayl had excused himself from discussing the travel plans with the other commander and Lady Lucy, and was now in his tent. As was expected his was a lot bigger, easily capable of holding three people...however it was actually holding himself and Elibe, obviously treated more like a human than a horse...
The knight was currently reading an old and faded book, scanning his eyes over the barely legible words, losing their distinctness due to water and blood damage...however he knew the book by heart, and had been studying it for years for it to be engraved in his memory:
"...mix seasoning into..."
why yes it was his old cookbook...sometime later however he had put it away, and pulled out a book entitled: Teachings of Barigan and began reading aloud The Olde Code:
"1) Respect St. Elimine and Maintain her Church. 2) Serve your lord with Valour and Faith, yet willingly disobey for the greater good of the world. 3) Protect the weak and Defenseless, no matter their allegiance. 4) Give charity to the needy. 5) To refrain from the wanton giving of offence. 6) To live for Honor and Peace. 7) Be a beacon for those who are lost. 8) Refrain from pecuniary reward 9) Fight for the welfare of all. 10) Guard the honor of your fellows. 11) Speak the Truth. 12) Respect the Honour of Women 13) Never turn your back on your Foe. 14) Do not spare your dying foe the Coup de Grace: Let them die with honor. 15) It is not proper to love any woman whom one would be ashamed to seek to marry"
with this, Rayl closed the book, and rested against the ground, staring at the top of the tent, knowing fully well he wouldn't be able to sleep tonight: He'd take watch along with some of the other guards later on.

At the mention of a river Wyatt laughed, even though he was worried about his former companions. "Yeah, that river got me too. Washed me all the way to Santaruz! Hah, but it'd take more then a trip in a river or some wolf things to take me out." He really was glad to see one of his old companions, even if he never really spoke to Yaen. If he was here, maybe the others survived as well?
But wait, so far he hadn't met anyone who had actually seen the end of the fight, would it be possible that they lost?
No way, not with all of them there, not a chance. They were probably at Ostia right now helping them rebuild and restore it.
"I wonder where the others wound up...oh well, I'm sure we'll meet up with them eventually." Wyatt then realized, he wasn't exactly sure where this group was going. He turned and looked at the female archer.
"Excuse me...could you tell me where this group is headed?"

Aevian had flashed a grin at Wyatt, knowing full well of his travels down the river, but the young man was overplaying it, afterall, he was unconscious when he travelled it! Rolling her shoulders, she had followed him out to where the man in blue was. She regarded him oddly, knowing by his look where he was from, but she was more startled to find out that Wyatt seemed to know him.
Aevian had her axe out in her hand at the time, as if ready to fight, but she slowly put it away, since the danger wasn't at all real. She stayed quiet, analyzing and listening, and continued to follow Wyatt along, also curious to where this convoy was headed...since she wasn't actually told.
OoC: Sorry for the lame post, just trying to get caught up ^^

Chelsea jumped slightly at being addressed again. "Where are we going?" Rayl had said this just hours ago, where were they going again? Oh yeah. "Well from Pherae we were headed to Santaruz, but it looks like those new guys are from there so we may skip it. Then onto Caelin, and then Laus I think it was? And then turn back to Pherae!" She gave a smile. "And that's all, I think."

Gabriel had also heard Aren's warning about another newcomer, but once Wyatt recognized the man he lowered his guard. No need to worry about an ally of an acquaintance. He decided to join the conversation as well after Aevian did so and Chelsea answered Wyatt's question.
"Actually..." Gabriel said, bowing to the newcomer "Given that Wyatt's and Aevian's original destination was Ostia and that it was razed recently, chances are Rayl will decide to go there to assess the situation. That would let him give a full report to the marquess of Pherae. After all, we only heard about the entire deal from a messenger. It'd be best if a part of the army were to go there and act as a rescue team."
Had Ostia really fallen? He couldn't believe it yet. Not until he saw it. Ostia had been the strongest nation for quite a number of years, and to hear that it fell in no more than a day is...odd. That, and Gabriel had always wanted to visit what he had read was the biggest city in the world.
"Gabriel. Former Etrurian noble and mage in training" he finally said, extending his hand to Yaen.

OOC: Seeing as we are just chillaxing and all, I feel a timeskip to the next day is in order. The red sun was rising over the moist trees, as animals began to awake from their slumber. Rayl stood guard over the area, bugle in hand, having sent the sentries to rest themselves as well long before, leaving himself alone with his thoughts. He wasn't one for politics, but in recent years he had become so involved that he had to check everything he did. Would The Prophet take this as an act of Aggression? He has spies everywhere. Would another Lycian nation think this was a surprise attack? No, of course not. They had sent messages to the nations saying that a large group of troops would be heading to Laus as the Ambassador (Rayl) traveled about... He signed as he went back to watching the area, then back to the sky: it was time that they got ready to ride on out. With this, he took steps forward, over dampened fire pits, and stepped onto a smaller boulder in the field, lifting his bugle to his lips, and began to play the wake up call. OOC: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGnZxcS7VKAIC: As the sound seemed to echo outwards, he simply waited before peeking into his tent, where Elibe stood at the ready and made it's way past it's owner and out the tent, as the Paladin began to take down his own sleeping quarters ( you know, the one he didn't use), while soldiers began waking up.

Merio groaned, and arose from his resting place. The last night was rough, but the worst part of injuries is the aftermath. Bruises, cuts, scars, healing pains. That healer helped remove a lot of the injuries, but some of them still hurt like hell. The bruise on his foot, for one.
I still can't believe we were assigned to cousin Rayl's Golden Lance division. He is known to help beginners, but still. Hailing from Caelin, you'd expect us to remain there until we became pretty good... Maybe they knew... even without us telling anyone... Rayl... ---------------
After tidying up and putting on his gear, he steps out into the sun and takes down his tent... "Kelvin must still be asleep..." Merio walks over to his brother's tent (They had decided it would be best for all of them if the brothers had seperate tents.), and peeked inside. "Brother, wake up! We must speak to Sir Rayl." He grabs a nearby bucket of water, splashes it on his brother, and leaves before Kelvin has any time to react.
"Now that that's finished..." He nervously walks to Rayl. Even though he's their cousin, he's still their superior, and superiors should not be spoken casually to. "Sir Rayl, as Kelvin and I are new to this division, is it possible for us to know what has happened, and where we are headed?"

Wyatt grumbled. He had no bedding preparations of his own, since the few things he did have got washed away from his trip down the Lycian river. As such, he wound up sharing a tent with one of the more chipper knights. This particular one was rather energetic for this early in the morning, and after his first time having decent bedding in over a week, Wyatt was quite cross with the idea of getting up.
Until he remembered who he'd met the other day, at which point he sprang up. No time to loaf around, there was work to be done! He hoped they reached a real town soon, he really needed to buy some supplies. In particular he wanted to buy a real smith's hammer. The small one he had was good for touch ups, but not at all for real forge work. If he was going to be a real blacksmith, he needed real tools.
He walked out of the tent, stretching in the rising sunlight and cracking his back once or twice.
"Ah...good morning." No sooner had he left the tent then it started to be taken down. Wow, these people didn't mess around.
He looked about to see if Aevian was up and about yet.
