Harlow grinned, embarrassed. Of course Valorian wouldn't be able to recall a specific mage with that little information. "Um, well, he would have a large bruise on his forehead and some cuts and scrapes down his arms. He fell into a well and smashed his head on the way down. He had brown hair that came down to about here," Harlow gestured to his own face for reference, "in front, and here down the sides and back. Oh, and I'm Harlow, by the way. Thank you, Valorian, for helping out around here. I didn't see you before, but I'm sure you've been keeping pretty busy."

"Vaaalorian~"
Saffra overheard the name as she was studying the painting, and said his name out-loud in a melodious voice. Not saying any more, Saffra then proceeded to go back to hum her old song, and let the two boys talk. The manakete's attention kept jumping from one thing to another, and eventually, she found herself out of the building, and down the streets within a matter of moments.
It didn't take long before Saffra had disappeared around corners, and wandered into a garden square, where she sat amongst the flowers, leaning in closely as she went to smell the flowers, and fell over face first, but she stayed there, laying down among the flowers, rolling over to look at the sky.
"Oww.."

Valorian arched his eyebrow at Saffra as she wandered out of the room.
"Is she always like that?" He asked to the young man with a sideways glance. After he heard his description he nodded.
"Oh...dresses in blue, has a green sash? He was carrying a pretty potent magical tome for one so young too, if I recall. Yes, he is upstairs. He'll probably be sore for a few days, but it's nothing serious at all." He paused for a moment.
"So...what on earth happened in there?"

Harlow shrugged his shoulders. "Truth be told, I'm pretty new to this group, and I hadn't really had a chance to get to know Saffra before today. I think she's just a little dazed from what happened."
"Speaking of what happened, well, that's a hard story to get right. I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I arrived shortly after the fighting began, but from what the others have told me... Well let me back up. We're part of an army that is being mustered under the leadership of Sir Rayl of Pherae in order to combat the invading Etrurian forces, the ones responsible for routing Ostia. The leader of this unit, Lucy Belmont, was traveling to each of the provinces in Lycia to speak to the marquesses there in order to gain their support. When we got here, apparently there was some trouble with some lies spread by Sir Chester, the head of the mage school. When Lucy and some others arrived there to question him, he attacked them, and then all hell broke loose. I don't think anyone was sure why Sir Chester would want to attack Lucy, but whatever the reason, things certainly ended badly. Somehow, the entire building collapsed and so many people were buried alive, and would have died..." He was about to get to the part where Saffra turned into a dragon to keep the building from collapsing, but he didn't know this Valorian and didn't know how he'd take the news of a manakete travelling with them...
Oh! He suddenly realized that he'd been careless earlier in thanking Saffra and exposing her true species in such a public place - that must have been what was bothering her earlier! Ah, he'd have to be more careful in the future... he mentally chided himself for being so careless before going on...
"Anyways, the mage I was asking about was one of Sir Chester's students. Seemed kinda scared and unsure about the whole ordeal. I was hoping he would have a few answers about all this..."

Why did everyone seem to want to hug him now? Couldn't they wait until his entire body stopped aching? Still, he appreciated those hugs. It had been a long time since his mother or father had hugged him. It felt...warm.
"I...was tasked to get Wyatt's hammer out of the place. It was crazy, but that's the only way I could think of to get both of us out. That hammer is WAY too heavy for me." He managed to answer Harlow's question, but some time had passed since he had asked. Just then, the blacksmith made it out of his room. "Wyatt, good to see you alive and well. Your hammer is over there" he said, pointing to the room Gabriel had been in.
He was still somewhat dazed, so he decided to sit back in his chair again. Though the healing had mended whatever bones had been broken by the hit to his back, there were still some bruises here and there. And since they still had to get the marquess of Laus to join them, it'd be better if he was in shape. Luckily, he had taken a vulnerary with him before leaving home, hell knows how many weeks ago. It took a few minutes before the medicine worked, but the pain was already milder. Just some more under the headband(which had been covered in blood from when he hit the blackboard at the school).
A few things had happened by then, but he was in no shape to go and pay attention to any of those. He stood up and left the building, nodding to those that laid his gaze on him on the way out. He went to where they had left their horses before going into the academy. It was close by, but not so much that they would get hurt by the collapsing building. Gabriel patted Starlight's head for a while, as she rubbed her face against the boy's cheeks. "I'm fine, girl, I'm fine. Just a bit...exhausted. Take me to the castle, will you?" he said, getting on top of the horse. Not like she'd understand at all, but they slowly made their way to the castle courtyard.

As Chelsea ran to help him, he grinned to himself. His little plan was going as planned. Right as she knelt down next to him, asking him if he was alright. Then Kelvin sprung. He grabbed her shoulders, flipping her and pushing her gently to the ground. Kelvin, grinning widely at his victory, cocked an eyebrow and said, "Ha! Pinned you!"

Chelsea gasped as she was pinned to the ground. She then glared at him. "No fair! I thought you were all hurt and stuff!" She gave him her sad puppy-dog eyes. "How could you do that to little old me?" She threw in a quivering lip for good measure. Inside, she was grinning. She'd get him back this time.

Kelvin paused for a moment at Chelsea's question. "I... I got better. And what about you? You were running around like nothing ever happened." He raised his eyebrows, questioning her. "And besides this is revenge. You made me chase you, I pin you to the ground. I'd say we're even now."

"Nah uh! You won twice! I didn't win at all, I wanna win one!" She tried unsuccessfully to roll them over and pout again. She had a cute pouty face too. She knew Kelvin would break soon. And if he didn't, then what? Did he have a reason for pinning her down? He'd better not have a dirty agenda or so help him, he'd get a painful reminder to take his time. She almost smiled at that, but kept her pouty face on all the same.

Kelvin resisted flipping over as Chelsea struggled to knock him down. Then he thought, "Eh, might as well let her win for once. I guess that would make us truly even." Chelsea struggled again, and he let himself flip onto his back. Acting surprised, Kelvin said, "Oh no! What will I do? I guess you win."

Chelsea gasped as she rolled on top of Kelvin. She did it! She really did it! Haha! She won! She threw her hands up in victory. "Yes! Ahahaha! I won! I beat Kelvy! I beat Kelvy!" She giggled happily as she yelled out. She didn't realize, however, that she had taken her hands off him and he could reverse this again at anytime. Right now, she finally won and she was happy about it. She bent down and gave him a quick kiss happily.

He smiled at Chelsea sliding out from underneath her. "Yeah, you win this round, but this isn't over yet," he said, leaping onto Kashmir. "Come on, we should probably go check back in and see if we're needed."

Chelsea smiled and hopped up behind Kelvin. As she wrapped her arms around him, she grinned wider. She was really happy right now. "Ya, we probably should. Besides, I don't wanna have to beat you again so soon." She giggled at that. Sure her ego was a little bit inflated right now, but hey, she didn't care. Even if he had let her win, she was happy he did. Kelvin was a good boyfriend.

A little fresh air would do him some good, at least that was his reason for leaving the clinic. He was just crowding the place anyways, he couldn't heal and he didn't know medicine. In fact, he was just taking up space that could be used to help other people. He couldn't even help with carrying people anymore with how badly he injured his hands, not knowing when to quit even when it's best. He was more or less a burden. Gee, that sounds familiar... So he sighed and left the clinic, now realizing it was much bigger then his initial inference.
He shuffled his feet, his face twisted into a thinking look as he stared blankly ahead. The wind felt nice, he never noticed before. He couldn't help but take a long sniff of the air around him... before promptly gagging and breaking out into a coughing fit. "Ack! Thi*cough* this place*cough* smells jus- just like horses..." He coughed some more until his throat was sore, then finally was able to start to catch his breath. It was a bad smell, one that brought back a lot of memories from when he was taking care of the horses on Kelvin's ranch. He was never used to the smell there either, though he bet to Merio and Kelvin it was second nature... Probably even making them feel homesick.
Speaking of homesick... he actually missed his little sandy village right now. Sure it was boring, but he wasn't depressed 90% of the time there. "I guess it's only a natural thing to feel... But I'm not going home until I see Elibe. All of it. So then, when I return, I can tell my mother all about it." He said to the sky, calmly smiling with eyes closed, letting the warmth of the sun fill up his face.
Finally he looked back down and around with curious green eyes. He slowly walked through the street, taking in the sights that weren't in rubble, and feeling in awe. "You know... I never got to enjoy this city. First it was... learning about Ostia... then it was the school.... then it was Chelsea... Then it was the crashed building... today has just been a string of little disasters." Hopefully it would get better from here on out though... he didn't like this. It made him feel horrible inside, and more then once he held back tears.
Hey there was Chelsea and Kelvin. Figures... He looked at them nervously before walking the other way, knowing they were too busy being lovey-dovey to notice the dark skinned kid.

Kelvin smiled as he rolled his eyes. He decided to just let her revel in her victory. He turned Kashmir around and spotted Valcrist, walking away as if something bad had happened. What was up with that kid? Kelvin called out to him, "Hey, Val, wait up!" He urged Kasmir forward to try to catch up to the boy.
