Stumbling around, the only sound was the occasional twigs which broke as she ran around. She had told herself she would not get lost this time, though as soon as she walked of the well used roads, starting to walk what she thought was a great shortcut, just cutting straight forward trough the forest, but no. Leanin found herself stumbling in the forest in the middle of nowhere, though she didn't know where she was actually trying to go, it didn't matter if she didn't get out of the thick forest, the leaves practically blocking all view.
Leanin stumbled around, her coat already needed patching as the tree's poking limbs seemingly tried to pull her coat off, though failing seemed to do somewhat of damage against the coat. Her stomach growled, figuring she needed some food she said to herself " Some quick bread, and then time to ration the portions in case I get stuck here for a long while." Though as soon as she opened her backpack, the food was spread as if a tiny explosion had filled the backpack. Shocked she stared at the porridge that now filled her backpack, "Why?!" she yelled hysterically before she managed to calm herself, regretting the fact that she had yelled out, what if someone, or something found their way to her, maybe bandits or worse.
A twig breaking made her shoulders stiffen, she quickly grabbed the fire tome, staring towards the thicket of leaves, her eyes darting around, her heart racing as if it was going to jump trough her chest any second. Someone was coming, a ball of fire started to gather in the palm of her hand as she stared forward.

The fire burst forward from the palm of her hand, though hit it didn't hit where she intended, though as soon as the silhouette of a large man appeared, a cracking sound and some grunting, the fire had hit a branch which somehow had hit the man as due to the fire. Leanin sighed as the manifested itself in her palm again, as she slowly stepped forward, it was a huge beast of a man, probably atleast six feet tall, but he was knocked unconscious, an axe was dropped inches from the man's limp hand.
A minute went and the man didn't stirr, she stepped forward grasping the hilt of the axe thinking that an unarmed man wouldn't dare attack a mage, not even jone that was just an apprentice. Though as soon as her muscles strained against the weight of the axe, it only barelly budged. "Heavy!" She took a deep breath, staring at the large body, though she gave a yelp as she heard a twig crack behind her "Haaa!" Another loud voice that seemed more like grunting came from behind her. The flame shot out of the palm of her hand within a second as she turned hitting iron, and barelly altering the swing of the axe. The chunk of wood that nearly hit her she knew it had been inches from being beheaded. The fire shot out from her palm again, and the grunting that suddenly turned into screaming that pained her ears, she started to run trough the leaves of the forest as quickly as she could, without falling. She knew she had hit the man, somewhere, but it could have only burned an eyebrow for all she knew. She couldn't stop nor could she scream for help, not that screaming would give her help, quite the opposite it would attract those bandits, she knew it had to be bandits though. Everything she heard as she stopped to catch her breath was the leaves dancing against a breeze.

Leanin's heart kept pounding, her eyes darting across the area nervously, she did not even know how many they were, or if she was successful at hitting the bandit. Her body ached due to the fatigue of both running and using her fire tome twice within seconds. Brushing her coat, she stood up starting to move about slowly, hopefully not being noticed, or at least managing to come upon one of them to suprise them. "Gees, what am I to do...?"
Slowly the nervousness faded as she kept wandering about, without hearing a thing. Though Leanin kept her fire tome pressed closely at her chest, just in case. The small light that had existed during the day slowly faded, meaning she wouldn't be found even if she had to stay sleeping in the forest. Though the night was cool, she got rather heated walking around, she took of and curled her coat into a little blue ball before throwing it into the backpack. "At least no one will be able to see me walk around in these indecent clothes." Not that her clothes was that indecent, just that the snug shirt showed a little bit of midriff, not something one would wear as an apprentice to a mage.
"Lets bring her in!" a grunting voice announced from the thicket, quickly charging forward, though not hitting with their axe, they had other things in mind for a young girl. Leanin gave a yell feeling a pair of large hands grip around her shoulders, sending her leg down to at least startle the man. "Hahaaa, I didn't even feel that little girl, maybe if you we feed you well you might get me to feel it a bit." Leanin frowned, the fools had not taken her tome from her yet, for all they knew it might just be a book. Still gripping her tome tightly, she was led across the forest, at least the bandits knew the way, and soon ended up at the outskirt of the forest, where a carriage was waiting for them. The carriage was plainly covered with a large tent like roof, which could be closed at the back. Hastily pushed into the carriage, she stumbled in quickly being pulled down to a sitting by strong hands, though some of them were soft. A female voice murmured to her "Easy child, easy" while stroking her head, without even noticing it Leanin started to sob, she had been taken captive, together with a pack of farmers. The carriage started to move quickly, traveling towards some unknown location, though the farmers believed they could be headed towards Bern or maybe Etruria, at least the bandits wouldn't stay in Lycia for long.

Having fallen asleep sometime since they started, she was pulled out by new noise that had come, rocks and pots clanking against axes, the woman who had kept stroking her head sat beside her anxiously, staring out of the carriage, other than her there was no one. Leanin quickly stumbled up to a stand, "Oh, your awake then, quickly come on, we are fleeing." A soft hand took her hand and pulled her out into the open, the kidnapped and kidnappers ran around disorganized, the kidnapped all trying to run for their life, and the kidnappers all trying to strike down anyone who tried. Holding out her hand as she ran fire gathered in her hand, before being flung forwards towards anyone running after someone who was fleeing. Though unknown to those who where fleeing, was that the encampment had been surrounded by brigands who had gathered up, making it a rather large encampment.
Being pulled around forcibly, Leanin couldn't get a full view of the surroundings, but she knew that while avoiding the brigands they would never get out of there. Some of the other younger farmers had joined up with them as they ran stumbling hastily towards the outside of the camp. "Look, there's a thicket, if we get there we c-... Aaaah!" The axe stroke hit clearly across the back of the woman, blood filled the air, as she fell. Leanin charged another ball of fire, as the second farmer fell to an axe stroke, her ball of fire hit the brigand straight in the chest. At least he was knocked out for now. The five other farmers, two girls, quite weak looking in their farmers wool, and three boys, that seemed determined to protect the girls, probably having dreams of being knights someday, though lacked the means of actually doing much. The girls were gripping short sticks as they ran, one of the larger boys, ran swinging the large axe of the knocked out brigand. The others held somewhat of short swords, probably somekind of heirloom from their fathers that they managed to sneak in with them when they got captured.
One of the boys, a stout blond one, holding his short blade in front of him, yelled out as an axe hit his blade, though it seemed the boy could handle himself as he danced around the brigand, deflecting or dodging the axe. Though a large silhouette appeared behind him, an axe raised above its head prepared to be sent down the back of the blond boy. Leanin didn't even think, a ball of fire stroke out of her hand again, then again, as the large silhouette fell, the brief moment of insecurity as his brethren fell, was all the blond boy needed, sending the his short blade across the neck of the brigand. Two dark mounds was all they could see of them, but they were obviously dead, but others could be coming anytime now. The blond boy acquired the respect of the others by defeating one of them single handedly and took over as the leader of the group it seemed, due to his skills. "Follow me!" The boy murmured to get the group moving, the group moved with a certain determination. Leanin walked in the middle with the two other girls at her side, and two boys behind her watching out for other brigands.
The screams and the clashing of different weapons diminished as they got closer to the outskirt of the camp. Leanin noticed the blond boy pointing to her left, she turned her head quickly as she murmured "What is it?" She stared towards the tents, "Fire." He murmured silently. Tightening her hold of the tome, she sent a ball of fire towards the tent, which quickly burst into flames, large silhouettes gathered around the tent to look for the source of the fire. The blond boy seemed to know what to do, as they crept further away from the fight. And without further ado, managed to escape into the thicket of the forest, guided by the blond boy.
Leanins heart still raced, but somehow everything was starting to calm down, the boy started to softly murmur with each other, and the girls kept wondering about the others openly, now and then coming with somekind of outburst, which would make the others giggle, from what Leanin picked up it was something about being kidnapped was great exercise. Though inevitably, everyone was worried about the others. That way they kept walking in the forest, determined not to get caught again.

Managing to avoid the brigands for at least a night with no sleep. Leaning held her stomach, as it grumbled again, every single head turned towards her in an instant, blushing, she pulled the coat around her again. "Awwww, for how long do we have to walk around?" The girls gathered with her stubbornly placing their hands on their hips, facing the boys, who seemingly didn't want to answer a single question. The bulky and the scrawny looking boy, both stopped, staring down at their feet defeated by the girls intimidating glare, though, the tall blonde on just walked past, ignoring them. "Hmpf, at least tell us where we are going." She murmured silently, certain that the boy wouldn't hear it, though she was suprised when a he stopped, waiting for them to catch up "We are heading for some cliffs, to hide." It took a moment for them to know what he meant by that, Leanin shivered at the though of hiding somewhere in the wilderness, "Why don't we head for Ostia or some other large city?" It only took a moment for the boy to be in front of her, his sword drawn, and a hand tightly gripping her coat. "Becau-.... Get down!" A quick push sent Leanin down onto the ground, emptying her lungs for breath.
It took just a moment before she heard the clashing of metal against metal, metal against sticks, and a female scream. Leanin jumped up at the scream, brandishing her fire tome, sending forth two balls of fire, which struck two of the bandits in the back, as they faced of against the two girls, one of the girls had a large cut across her chest, tainting the stout woolen dress in red. Another grunt and a scream from one of the girls, told her there were more close by, but the moment it took for them. A sword cut down her back, though slightly shallow, it cut trough the skin, and sent her stumbling forward, the excruciating pain filled her back, "Am, I going to die... No, not yet." She stumbled forwards, managing to regain her balance by holding onto a tree.
The blade wielding bandit grinned and licked his lips at the sight of the girls. Though as the bandit took a single step forward, a tall person crashed into him, brandishing his short sword, deflecting a quick stab from the bandit. Afterwards when Leanin though about it, the only thing she could call that fight, was a dance, the graceful movement of their swords. The blonde boy, seemed to have a slight advantage, but as soon as he closed got close enough to the bandit, he was kicked in the groin, falling on her knees, and in the instant before he died he yelled " Run!" and that was it, his head lay on the ground infront of his body. The other boys were still fighting somewhere from the clashing of weapons. Leanin felt the two soft hands pull her with her, her feet moving on its own, and somehow she had entered somekind of void, the pain and exhaustion seemed distant, at least until she fell forward, unable to move, the pain filled her body. "Geh... I need a break, but can't stop." She managed to pull trough and push herself up standing again though it was all she could do to, walk forward, " We're soon safe. They murmured, holding her hand as they walked forward, they wouldn't survive like this, they all knew it, but no one said it.
Leanin drew a rasping breath, just remembering she had some vulnerary, in her backpack, halting for a second, she pulled it out "Can one of you put this on my back?" She pulled of her cloak, biting her tongue as to not scream, due to the pain the movement released up her spine. The other girls noticed that and helped her pull off her shirt, both exchanged worried looks as they looked at her, but they quickly replaced it with a smile as they put on some vulnerary, starting to talk cheerfully again. "You really look good, though kinda on the skinny side." They chatted cheerfully, until they finished. Leanin traced the wound with her finger carefully, before stretching a bit, they would survive, somehow.

OoC: Big post. Sorry. lol
BiC:
Aaron had been separated, from his group for a while. He didn't know if they were still even remotely close. It hadn't been long since he left Roland's tomb, the memories of seeing the Ostian metropolis burnt to nothing more than a collection of ash and rubble, and those of the odd carvings inside the crypt, warring for dominance. Then there was his new found conviction, a desire to do more than just watch, and study. He was determined to do wha he could to safeguard his home, and country. He had to get to Laus, and tell them the news.
The green-haired mage stepped confidently through the morning-light dappled woods, but not in a way that would alert the entire forest at large. Back home, he'd been far from the worst woodsman, and so was able to pass the briars and other underbrush mostly without making any loud noises.
That was when he saw an odd sight: a broken branch. It was too large to have been broken by some woodland creature's light passage. He padded over softly, bending to study it, before noticing the gashes in it.... Gashes that, he would guess, were made by axe strokes. Then his eyes fell on a bloody mess. Flux!... What happened here? The remains were of a blond-headed young man. He'd been beheaded; it was almost as gruesome as burning someone to death.
The put aside sudden doubts about using his tome, and set himself to estimating the time since the boy had been victimized. He felt bile begin to rise at the sight, but forced that away as well. Less than a day old. Do I stay and give him as proper burial as I can?
He'd just decided that he could spare the time for a funeral pyre, to burn the body on, when there was a snap behind him. Before he could turn, he heard a thunderous cry, and felt a brigands strong arms wrap around him, pinning his arms to his sides. The mages first instinct was to simply over power the man's grip, and this seemed to work for a moment. After all, his mage training had been uniquely physical, as well as mental, but it didn't take long for Aaron to realize his strength was overmatched. He switched tactics, reaching for the Book of Fire in his messenger satchel. He just managed to brush his hand across the surface, remembering some of what was written inside, and accessing the power that a mage trained to control.
Fire shot up along his sleeves, not burning him, but proving quite painful for the criminal, who cried out in alarm. Aaron found himself free of the restraining grip, and turned quickly, deliberately towards his attacker... or attackers as the case turned out to be. Before they charged again, he lifted his hand by his head, and gave a snap, simultaneously calling up a large ball of flame. The center glowed blue from heat as it floated above him.
They weren't expecting a display of this sort. Not only had he escaped their impromptu ambush, but the person before them didn't appear intimidated at all. What's more, apparently, he was ready to burn them to a crisp at a moments notice. In reality the person before them, Aaron Winsett, was simply not stopping to feel the fear that would inevitably come. He wouldn't let it catch up to him.
"I would be running if I were you." He said in a firm, deadly, calm voice, eyes filled with the dancing of the flames he commanded.
The bandits glanced at each other before stammering a few steps back, and dashing away. A moment later, a ball of flame crashed behind them, the sound, a roar that would contend with any wild beast.
Aaron sighed in relief. That flame had looked large and dangerous, but he wasn't sure how long or hotly it would have burned. It had been a trick. The Wizard's First Rule... it saved me this time. "People are stupid. They'll believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they fear it is."
He decided it was best to move out quickly, and picked a small trail leading away. Over time, he noticed small patches of blood here and there, and he had to come to another decision. Follow it or not? In the end, he decided to proceed along the path he was following, but to be sure to exercise caution.... And that's how he went.

OoC: Meh, no worries.
Panting as they moved forward at a pace that seemed to slow for every single minute, it had gotten rather silent as they had walked. No one voiced the thought, but they all were thinking of the bloody remains of the unnamed blonde boy, who had saved them. Exerting all of her strenght, Leanin barelly kept up with the rest, her was filled with the taste of blood. Her vision was starting to blurr, everything around her getting a bit more unclear. The girl at the front, pulled to a halt, whispering hoarselly "We have to stop."
Leanin smiled as the girl looked at her, before dropping down on where she had stood as if Leanin's smile had been a final agreement. Leanin had been urging them to move without rest as far as possible, and despite appearance, she had somewhat of a presence in an argument. Looking around noticing the girls scratches and bruises, it seemed they were quite lucky to have escaped at all. To exhausted to keep a guard, they started to rest, praying that the bandits had given up following them. Leanin was startled by the other girl's condition, they seemed to be worse than it seemed, she just noticed their gaunt cheeks, their dirtied hair, and their repeatedly patched woolens., it had not occurred her that they might have been held captive for quite a time.
Struggling to stand up, her feet almost buckling under her weight, with a flick of her hand, the others stood up, starting another walk, hopefully they would get somewhere with food. The only sound she heard as she stumbled forwards was their steps, or was there another set, she wasn't sure, but she urged them tomove even quicker forwards.

As he went down the path, Aaron realized that it had been traveled recently. Some of the twigs sticking into the path were broken, and there were prints every now and then. It was difficult to tell just who or what had been moving, but at least some had belonged to people... smaller than you'd typically imagine a bandit to be.
Fatigue was catching up with him. His display for the pair of bandits earlier, had taxed him of his small remaining strength, but he refused to stop before noon. He needed to get out back to the confounded road. There was one nearby, he knew it!
He looked down and saw a semi-open place on the ground. I could rest here and then be on my way... Fuzzy eyes focused on the spot, and, despite his weariness, a realization snapped into his brain. Someone has been here. Recently! The small underbrush, and clumps of grasses were pressed down, as though someone had been resting there.
Giving a shake of his head to wake up, he looked around, and, failing to find any indication of direction, headed on in the path that he had been following. Well, nothing for it... the mage thought to himself. He gave himself a wry smile, remembering the last time he'd gotten into a fight in the woods. I guess I can always start another fire if I need to escape. "Hello?! Is there someone up ahead?" Sound didn't carry very far in the woods, so if there was someone, he wasn't sure they would hear, anyway. "I mean no harm!" He was quick to add, after reconsidering the situation that seemed to be forming, though he didn't expect that his word alone would reassure anyone traveling in the countryside, especially those escaping from a group of bandits. It was all wild conjecture, of course, but after seeing the aftermath of the fight, being ambushed, and seeing some of the prints, he was ready to believe it.

She turned as soon as she heard the voice, the other girls turned their heads, holding their breath, someone was following them. They could not outrun anyone at their state, so atleast, if it was a bandit they would take him out if he came all the way there alone. The girls split up, hiding behind some tree's, nervously awaiting the arrival of whoever followed them. Leanin hugged her fire tome against her chest, staring narrow eyed behind them. She kept her right hand covering her mouth, trying to muffle the sound of her breathing, every breath though seemed to sound as loud as a branch cracking.
She struggled to keep standing, leaning against the tree trunk, panting, her heart was beating to loudly for comfort. She couldn't start to panic just yet, she just had to keep it together for a bit more. Reviewing some of the lessons her teacher had given her about fighting, she wiped her forehead already knowing that it was far to insufficient. "I don't plan to die here." She raised her hand to silence the girls, to make them focus, before raising her voice "Hello, we're over here!" Taking a deep breath she peeked around the tree trunk, hopefully if someone was following they would have heard that, Please, run carelessly into the trap.... She just wanted to sleep, sleep deeply, on some pillows, her eyes drifted to a close. As she stood there half asleep, she slowly started to slide down against the trunk, until a branch breaking forced her to stand up erect again. The air seemed thicker now that the imminent presence of someone had disappeared with her half wake state. The other girls were barely standing erect too, eyes half open as they peeked out from behind their trunks, towards what they believed was the direction where the voice had come from.

OoC: Due to Aeros, when I saw your post Lea I thought: "Oh, you don't wana die here? Well then go die in New Jersey!"
Morgoth sat crosslegged on the forest floor. He stared into space, his eye's a misty black. He was meditating, sure that he was safe for now. And then his regular eye's were back as he heard someone call out.
"What is it?" Morgoth mumbled under his breath as the world came into focus. Man, of all the things Mavick taught me, meditating is one of the best, he thought. Now I just need test subjects. That voice sounded weak.
Morgoth got up and stretched his legs. I'm tired myself, all that running and I didn't sleep much. He bgan walking as silently as possible toward the person who called out. But as he got closer he thought he heard someone else.
Well, hope I get in a fight, Morgoth thought. I love the smell of pillaging in the morning. Though some test subjects would be nice. He took his tome from his pocket.
"Hello?" he called out in his nicest voice. No sence in getting killed now. He tried to make enough noice to let them know he was there, but not enough for them to think he was charging them.

Aaron heard voices ahead. Not the kind he would attribute to the stereotypical bandit. He paused for a moment, reaffirming that he had his tome in hand, readying himself for what ever may come next.
Jogging ahead, towards where the voices had come from may not be the safest thing for him to do, but he wasn't going to take any more time just now. With his hands at his side, and hidden by his once fine, but now tattered, and burned navy colored cloak, he would likely appear unarmed, but he didn't feel threatened himself. Over the past week, he'd been taking whatever opportunities he could to practice working with natural flames, as well as continuing his finesse work on fire magic. The results were that he could now rip natural flames right off their fuel, if a fire was already burning. Something he'd been unable to do when he'd accidentally caused a forest fire, to the east of Ostia... He looked around the area, believing that this was the place the noises had come from.

Peeking out from behind her tree trunk, she stared forwards before another voice seemed to come, from somewhere, whipping her head around, "Behind?" The other girls had already noticed it, and stepped forth from their tree trunks. Though it quickly got silent, Leanin opened her fire tome, letting a ball of fire gather in the palm of her hand as she stared towards the last sound, when racing footsteps came from the original direction they had been staring at, she whipped her head back staring towards the direction of the one who had seemingly had started to run towards them, while the others whipped their heads around watching both ways, at an unimaginable speed, a miracle they didn't get dizzy.
The small ball of fire started to flicker before it disappeared, taking a deep breath, she forced it to appear again. The flame kept flickering uncontrollably, "what if I just sent it out and hit the one? Better not, just incase." The sound of running kept getting closer, yet the presence from the entirely different direction seemed to be more ominous, atleast hopefully they both would ignore them when they see three innocent girls, she let her fire flicker out from her hand, pulling it under her cloak, just to fit the description of three innocent girls.

Morgoth stopped. What was that? he questioned as he scupped up some rocks. I hate going this low, but this way it's less likely to be seen if I have to defend myself.
A light ignited and then flickered out. Maybe I can find a helper, I need underlings or else I am master of nothing. Morgoth continued on at the same pace as always, ever wairy of the heavy footsteps.
"Who's there?" he called out. He held his tome under his cloak and the rocks in his other hands. I need to remember to come up with a quick attack that doesn't require rocks, that way if I miss it's possible to come back around and hit. "I'm not going to hurt you, you sounded sick and thought I could help."

Quickly turning her head again at the voice that had come from the entirelly different direction as the first. Holding her tome tightly against her beneath the cloak, "We've been attacked by bandits!" she called out towards the same direction, atleast a bandit wouldn't ask something like that, but still, she kept a tight hold on her tome.
Shrugging her coat into a more comfortable position, she let the tension in her shoulder dissapear, taking slow deep breaths. Hopefully they were saved, but just incase, they should keep their guards up. Though the girls seemed to allready go into a relaxed state, dropping down on the ground, resting, one of them even dropped her stick, and started gathering a few twigs while sitting, maybe believing that they might need a campfire for the night.
Instead of sitting down like the others, she stepped forwards towards the sound, "please show yourself." she called out, wondering what kind of person had seemingly found them. Leanin had already forgotten about the other sound, and was eagerly awaiting the presence of the one who had found them. Picking a leaf from one of the branches she inocently started playing it between her hands, though keeping her eyes focused at the forest thicket.
Ooc: No worries, I go with the flow though, I get panicky when I see large walls of text, which I then need to try to follow up with my own, which tends to be all crap.

Jogging forward, Aaron eased to a stop as he came into view of three girls, one of which he thought he could feel traces of anima energy from. I could be mistaken about that, but I thought I felt something for a moment...
He looked around briefly, his demeanor non-threatening, but alert, before coming to the conclusion that it was just these three.
"Um, hello. My name is Aaron. I came across this trail earlier, and followed it." His fire tome came out freely as he gestured with it lightly, looking between the three, two of which seemed to be collecting some kindling. "...It looked like trouble had struck, and...." He said by way of explanation, meeting the eyes of the one who seemed to be the leader. I had to do something.
Aaron was in fact, still unaware of anyone else around them, and so didn't realize that there was a dark mage only a short distance away.
OoC: Lol. I gotta say... greeting two different people at once is not very easy.
