Whipping her head around as the sound of jogging came up from behind them again, and a man appeared. From Leanin's viewpoint it seemed as if he kept his guard up, just incase. "Oh, yes, alot of trouble." She stared at the fire tome that man gestured with, "I don't suppose your working with the bandits are you?" She met the eyes of the man, yet again forgetting the fact that there was another one arriving soon at the other direction.
I wonder if I can trust anyone at this place. She thought for herself, looking the man up and down, from the looks of it he was a mage, no doubt about that, the next question then would be, would they be safe, now that a real mage had arrived? She didn't know, but she hoped for it. Meanwhile the other girls, had just given the man a single notice, as they built a circle with stones, and lay down all their gathered twigs in it, preparing for their rest. One of them gestured for her to light the fire. Hurriedly she pulled out her fire tome, gathering a small ball of fire in her palm before walking over to it and lightly touching a twig, which started to burn in an instant.
At that moment she remembered the other man, "Oh, yea, there's someone else here too, coming it seems" she said , shrugging her fire tome beneath the cloak again.

As Morgoth walked into the clearing a fire ignited. Fire mage? he questioned. "Hello," he said alowed, statling a few of them. Four young girls and a man, Morgoth thought. What in the world are they doing in the woods? No matter, it seems fourtune has smiled upon me.
"I am Morgoth Animus," he said. Seconds later he realized his hood was up and quickly fliped back. "Are you all right? You look as if you've seen ghosts."
Morgoth slipped his rocks and tome into a pocket so that both his hands were free. Potencial recruits? Maybe. Though they look extremly ghaunt.

When she asked if he was working with the bandits, Aaron felt what little suspicion he had disintegrate. He didn't really believe, or want to believe, for that matter, that they intended harm. "...No." He answered her, plain and simple. Actually, he thought as he rubbed where he had summoned a controlled burst of flame, on his sleeves earlier, they probably would kill me on sight now. He took a few steps closer, but not all the way over, to the impromptu fire ring, not wishing to unintentionally alarm or threaten the young girls.
The green-haired mage felt a small flow of fire, and saw her light one of the twigs with nothing more than a brief gesture of her hand. I was right about her. A mage, or at least one in training.
"Hmm? Another person?"
Just then, another person came out from the surrounding trees. Aaron could feel the air around him fill with a distinctive, dark, taint. He was fairly certain that the man was a shaman, as his clothing seemed to indicate.
Aaron gave Morgoth a sidelong look. He felt less trusting towards this man, though he couldn't figure out why. He set his suspicions aside. If he couldn't understand them, then they couldn't be truly trusted. "Morgoth. Hello.... I'll be fine. Call me Aaron. How about you girls? Are you going to be ok? Where are you going?"

Turning towards the newly arrived man, Leanin knew at once there was somekind of ominous presence from this man, but she couldn't really pinpoint the reason. Though instead of going into a hostile state at once, she answered him "We've been kidnapped and recently escaped from the clutches of the bandits, my good sir." with a small curtsy.
Taking a few steps as to look at the two men she curtsied again, "I am Leanin, we don't really have any idea as to where to go, not even where we are, sir." She just told them the truth, hopefully they would accompany them, they didn't seem to have evil intentions atleast, though there was that weird presence from this Morgoth person. Raising a finger into her hair, twirling it around a little bit trying to act normal and childish, so that incase something would happen, they wouldn't bother guarding her or anything, unless they of course had allready seen trough her, as she had been stupid enough to use her tome to start a campfire.

"We are somewhere near Sarcae I believe," Morgoth said as he returned Lea's curtsy with a bow."I am unsure of where I am going either. You guy's look tired, perhaps I could stand watch while you rest. Then we can figureout what to do. What of you Aaron, are you headed for somewhere?"
Morgoth sat down by the fire and pulled out the stolen book. Now's a time as ever, he thought. Good thing it's in the lanuage of the Void, that way I don't have to worry about other people looking over my shoulder and reading.

"Well, Leanin, You won't have to worry about bandits as long as I'm around." The mage could remember a trip he'd taken with his grandfather. He had been near the same age she was, though not necessarily as handy with fire magic. They'd run into a group of outlaws, but Barek, Aaron's grandfather had been more than a match for their pathetic attempt. He was a far cry from the level his grandfather had attained, but he had enough skill to turn all but the most determined of attacks away from them.
Aaron was tired despite the early hour in the day. He went ahead and slung his cloak on the ground near the fire, before resting on it. He glanced towards Morgoth when he spoke, before answering. "I'm on my way to Laus." He began removing things from his bag, mostly food stuffs, rolls, dried meat, fruit. "We're south and east of the point where Sacae, and Ostia come nearest together. I believe there's a pass there...." Grim eyes met the people in the clearing. "I'm returning to Laus to let them know... Ostia is gone."
It was not going to be a pleasant arrival. They would identify him first, and he would probably have to fight his way through a text book's worth of beuracracy. Then he'd be questioned, mostly about things he didn't know likely enough. If he was lucky, they'd release him, if not, they'd imprison him. After all, he'd not been hired directly, but by the knight assigned the task of scouting. They might not even believe him.
His eyes wandered around the location, before finding the girls again. Taken captive by brigands... and still managing to escape. That's something special alright. He did notice they all looked a bit rough around the edges from it though, two of the girls looking noticeably malnourished.
Taking half of a bread roll, and one of the few remaining strips of meat, he set the rest on his messenger satchel, and put it between himself and the others, using it as a tray. "Here. Have some food. You all can use it more than I, and I'll be able to forage as I go."
It was true, his education in magecraft, had been matched by his Father training him in woodscraft. In reality, Aaron's training, and experiences branched in many directions. Though he excelled in few things, he was a testament to just how many things someone could learn how to do, or about.

"Sacae, thats quite far, the bandits really had to be travelling quickly. " She brushed her cloak, looking at the bloodied cut, she really would have to treat it when she gets back to Ostia, even before finding her familly, or they would scold here, not only for coming back too soon, but also for coming back dirtied and without her teacher.
Sighing, Atlast, safety, we can get back to civilization. Pulling the cloak together around her she sat down by the fire. Her jaw dropped when the man Aaron said something about Ostia being gone. She covered her mouth with her hand to stop the shocked scream.
"No way, impossible, thats just impossible, there's no way Ostia could be gone, no way!" dropping her fire tome, she hid her face in her hands, Impossible, impossible, mom and dad.. No not possible, not possible at all. Quickly turning her back to the fire, she stared down at her lap, she could not believe it, yet she knew it had to be true, in the worst case her parents were dead, at best, they were just lost like her, and would probably never see each other again.
"I-I... I don't know what to do, if-if Ostia is act-.. Actually gone, then I have no where to go..." She whispered silently to herself, atleast she could follow the girls to somewhere she could ditch them before finding a tree and a rope to hang herself, No, suicide isn't the answer, I have to find my master, I have to prevent events like this.

"Yes, Ostia is gone, all that's left is ashes," Morgoth replied as he put the book into his pocket. Gibberish, he thought. Although the rest could be useful. It seems I must give up on brain washing people. No matter.
"You look tired, perhaps I should keep watch while you guy's get some rest," he said. And now I know who I need to find. An old 'friend'. "Then maybe your head will be clear and you can figure where your going."

It wasn't hard for Aaron to see the distress in Lea's face at the news about Ostia. It was quite a bit to swallow. He closed his eyes, and took a bite of the half roll he held, eating out of the knowledge that his body needed sustenance. Thinking of the utter destruction in Ostia again had caused him to lose his appetite. The food seemed only to taste of the ashes he'd seen at the site of the once great city's ruin.
Morgoth, on the other hand, didn't seem particularly disturbed at all. And he knew of the cities demise. Had he escaped it? Traveled past the site since it? The green-haired mage was interested in knowing, but knew he was too tired to get into a long discussion.
"I'm sorry to have been the one to break the news to you, Lea...." Aaron's eyes were sad, he knew what he had seen there in Ostia. Death. Fear. Pain. Anguish. The pieces of people's shattered lives... "Lea, if you've no place to go, Laus is the nearest large city. It's got it's own standing army, and I've heard, in the past, that there is a school for all sorts of mages there. It may be the best destination at hand."
"As for me, I know where I'm going, but I could use a few hours rest. The woods are dangerous, and I'd appreciate someone keeping a lookout for a while. Thankyou Morgoth."
Aaron glanced about, finding the type of place he wanted to rest. This was the second time that the shaman had suggested they rest while he keep watch. It could be noble sentiment, but I'll not trust my safety completely to someone I just met. Laying down near a few small branches, and gathered brush, the mage pulled tucked his tome in hand once again, and lay down. He wasn't asleep, that was obvious, but he was calming himself, and trying to be ready. He'd already prepped a plan for himself if trouble found them once again, and while he may end up falling asleep, he'd been a particularly light sleeper ever since the forest fire he'd escaped from. He was as ready as possible, given all the circumstances.

Shrugging out of her coat before curling it into a neat ball to rest her head on she, moved a slight bit further away from the fire, as to not burn her clothes or anything, but close enough to keep some heat, knowing that Morgoth would be keeping a guard.
She had to think about what she would do, especially about going to Laus, maybe fullfilling her training, but a standing army, would they expect to have Laus destroyed too if there was an army, was it really safe going to Laus? She had to think about it, curling up into a ball infront of the fire she slowly closed her eyes, before murmuring drowsilly, "I will take you up on the offer, Morgoth. The other girls had allready bunched together too, one of them even snooring loudly.
OoC: I don't really know, honestly about the mugshot, I'm going to fix it, just having slight troubles with resizing, and actually placing it on the right spot. ;D

"Have a nice nap," Morgoth replied," you deserve it." He sat back down and pulled out his notebook and writing utensil.

After checking his spelling and grammer, Morgoth put away his notebook. He then checked to make sure the other's were asleep before going to the edge of the clearing and siting down. After a few moments of silence, his eyes glowed blackish-purple.

OoC: Morgoth has a type of camp he's attending for the next couple of weeks. We can still try and include him, but he might not be able to post for a time.
BiC:
Aaron's eyes popped open. He was unsure just how long he'd slept, but the sunlight was still strong, so it couldn't have been more than, perhaps, four hours that he'd rested. He felt sick to his stomach, as he usually did when waking in the middle of the day. Thankfully, it wasn't a kind of sick that got in his way. Merely something uncomfortable in the background. He paid it no mind.
Collecting up his things, he slung his bag over one shoulder, letting it hang at his side, underneath his scorched navy cloak. Morgoth seemed to be doing some form of meditating. He'd seen Lillith, a young shaman pupil he knew, do something like this before, but her eyes had never shone in the eerie, creepy way which Morgoth's were.
His fire tome tucked inside, along with what little supplies he had left, Aaron approached the girl, easing down into an approximation of a relaxed seat a few feet away. "Leanin... I'm sorry. I should have been gentler with the news about Ostia. That's enough to shock anyone." Aaron thought about the look in his friend, Wein's eyes when he'd seen his home. The sight had paralyzed him. For that matter, it had frozen Aaron in his tracks himself. "I've got a friend from Ostia. I want to help him free his home, but first, I've got duties in Laus to take care of..."
Aaron's eyes found the girl's face again. "What will you do? Staying in the countryside isn't really an option. Not with bandits roaming the land." And there have been worse than bandits out recently. The last thought was recalling the strange wolf monsters that had attacked him before he'd gotten to Ostia.

Laying there with her eyes open, she had gone trough what she remembered of Ostia, not really getting as much sleep as she had needed. A tear overflowed her eyes blurring her vision slightly as she stared forward, she hadn't noticed Aaron standing up before he spoke to her and she had quickly wiped her eyes. "No worries, I'm fine, maybe I'll come with you, but first I'd rather find a well used road, that leads to civilization. " She stretched her legs, before standing up stretching her hands, "Thats better." she looked at herself, quickly picking up her curled bloody cloak, throwing it on quickly, giving her a bit more decent look. Though her hair was messy, including a few twigs, and some leaves.
Sighing she said out loudly, " I look like a savage. " she stated, while looking towards where Morgoth was sitting, half closed eyes, and she didn't notice anything special with him, before conferring with Aaron, " Do you think its far to the main roads? Shrugging at the thought of sleeping out here again. She just had to get something else to think about than Ostia's destruction.
She woke the other girls with a quick whisper in each of their ears, which made them jump up blushing bright red. Leanin fell backwards laughing, at the sight of the two blushing girls, before grabbing her fire tome, hiding it neatly under her cloak.
Ooc: Oh, okay, I guess we'll manage somehow.

OoC: While I'm gone next week feel free to ghost me. I know your tired of hearing that Aaron. ;D
IC: Morgoth continued to meditate as Aaron spoke. But eventually, his concentration was nil. Well, at least I got something done.
The glow of Morgoth's eyes vanished and he got up. After walking over to them he said,"I'd hate to interrupt, but there was good reasoning for the destruction of Ostia. It's not every day you turn around and see the same guy you killed five minutes ago charging you. Which reminds me. Either of you happen to know a man by the name of Theian?"

OoC: Lol, you got that right. Oh well....
Aaron laughed lightly at Lea's comment about her appearance. "You've just come out of a rough time. I'd say you could be a lot worse off than you are now. Besides, you're in the forest. If you're not covered in leaves and sticks then something is wrong." Perhaps he was exaggerating with that last bit, but did end up brushing a bit of debris off his cloak, as if to prove his point.
"As to the road, it should be nearby now. That's what I've been angling towards since I started for Laus."
He smiled an easy smile when the girls jumped up, a bit amused at their reaction. Some of his tension had eased with the rest it seemed. The tension had eased, but the resolve was still there.
Hearing Morgoth getting up, Aaron turned. What the shaman said about Ostia deserving it's fate angered the mage at first, but what followed quickly capped his reaction. "What!? No. No Theian, but what you said before, did you actually mean the dead were rising?!" The thought horrified the mage. It was unnatural, and grotesque.... And just shocking enough that Aaron failed to grasp that Morgoth would have had to have been there, to know these things.
