Aaron wasn't sure how to react to any of the concerns. Bern had allowed bandits to gather before, which had brought ruin on the nations, five years past. That was what the mage thought of the situation. At the same time, he realized then, that there was probably a great deal more than that alone involved. Ultimately, there was a lack of information, and it would be impossible to make an effective decision without that information. I guess I'll have to go along then....Chelsea's news, that she was leaving them, surprised him a bit. He'd not heard anything about her father, but he was sorry to hear that he'd died. Aaron nodded in agreement at Gabriel's words. "Well, it sounds like most everything is going to be decided in Pherae. We should finish whatever preparations we have left and move out. Little is gained by lingering." Aaron nodded his head toward Chelsea, silently wishing her a safe journey, before making sure he had everything. OoC: Made you look. Just trying it out... Thanks Gabriel. :)>

"Since everyone seems ready, we'll depart right now" Gabriel said, looking at everyone in the room. "I feel bad for poor Mikar, but as strong and sturdy as he might be, he shouldn't be fighting any longer. It'll only make things worse later."
"I'll be waiting outside" he said, getting up and taking his Thunder tome from the table. "Come once you're good to go."
All of the horses were neatly tied outside of the inn, awaiting their riders. Gabriel undid the knot on Starlight's rope and stroked her mane. "We'll be back home soon, girl. I hope things go as planned."
OoC: Feel free to start a new thread in Pherae or something.

Chelsea followed Gabriel outside, her hand still tightly gripped in Kelvin's. She slowly undid Spirit's knot and jumped up onto her. She ran her hands softly through her mane and smiled slightly. It was nice to get riding again. Then her smile faded and she looked back down at Kelvin. She was gonna miss him a lot, but she had to do this. She leaned down from Spirit and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you as soon as I can, ok?"

After no reply, Morgoth walked up to the men. "Hello, I am Morgoth. I assume your the ones recruited by Kristoph. I shall be your commanding officer in the months to come."
"I'm Brent and this is Graigor, " the one on the left said. He had a large bushy mustache. "I thought Kristoph was our officer." Brent said, beginning to get suspicious.
"He is the diplomat and I am the soldier," Morgoth said calmly. "As I understand it, we have little of them. Do you think that perhaps we could recruit the younger and older men that have not left for the Lycian front?"
"Yes sir, many of them wish to serve," Graigor spoke up, hoping to win favor early on. "They would love to go and fight to protect their families and the mother land."
"Then can you can help me recruit them," Morgoth said. "Then to the square! Kristoph, Mertanel, make haste. We've little time."
OoC: So I can go alone with my speech, or I can just have the soldiers recruit. If y'all are in a hurry to leave, I'll do the latter.

Kelvin helped Chelsea onto Spirit and smiled as she kissed his cheek. "I hope so," he said with a big grin, "Just come back in one piece. I wouldn't want that pretty face of yours to get ruined," he said, laughing. He gave her one last wink before heading over to Kashmir, who had somehow untied himself from the post. "Hey boy," he cooed, patting him on the back. Climbing on, he rode out of the stable.

Chelsea nudged Spirit forward and followed Kelvin from the stable. Once outside, she started away from the group, in the direction where she knew Sacae to be. As she got further away, she gave one last look back at the group. She ran her eyes over the group one last time, for now anyways. Her eyes lingered on Kelvin. They watered up slightly, but she wiped them away and gave a wave. Turning her back on her boyfriend, she set off into the sunrise.

OoC: (I think Rayl and Gwen are waiting on us to get to Pherae, so... I'll go ahead and move us on.) BiC: Though he had been the one who suggested they get on the move, Aaron soon realized that he'd be holding them back. The rest were mounting on horses. The forces who were following Morgoth probably had enough to look out for themselves. Aaron was going to need something for himself though, if he was going to keep up. In the end, the Mage had found a man with bandaged hands, a recent etrurian refugee, who'd been sad, but willing to part with his horse. "His name is Fable, and he's been all the help I needed. I wouldn't sell him, except I find that I'm no longer capable of caring for such a loyal beast. It's better that you take him, than he suffers under my care any longer." The man had explained that his name was Job, that his hands were healing from having been broken, and that he intended to return to his profession as a blacksmith as soon as he was able. Aaron had passed the man a sum of money, and sent him to his Grandfathers facility in the south. There, Barek would be happy to fully restore Job's hands, and even set up a shop for him to work out of. (Horse Breeds)The horse was a beautiful dark grey coloring. Oddly enough, there was very little dappling about him. It almost looked solid. Job told him that his name was Fable, and that he was bred from an Etrurian Saddlebred and an Eliminean Charger. While not enormous, Fable looked as if he was more than capable of doing the kind of work that Aaron would need. Aaron rubbed the gelding on the shoulder as he rode back towards the group. Fable rode like a champ, his smooth gait carrying the mage back to his companions. (Thread continued in "A United Lycia?" in Pherae) OoC: For more information on Job, reply #10 of Avenger, in Etruria. wayofdawarrior.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=etruria&action=display&thread=2057

Morgoth stood on top of a fountain that was in the middle of the city. He gazed across the small crowds gathered before him. Not as many as I had hoped, he thought with slight disappointment, but enough to spread the word to every back-water town. The war will have many gone. But there are those old and young left behind.
“Welcome friends,” Morgoth called out in his nicest voice. “I’ve called you here today to talk about a growing rebellion in Bern." He paused to watch a wave of mur-murrs and confusion spread across the crowd.
"Many of you are probably wondering what this has to do with you. Well let me tell you." He looked across the crowd. "Many of you were seen as to young or old to serve your country. Well have I an opportunity for you! How would you like to serve your country? How would you like to show those Erturian pigs what your made of?" There were some shouts of approval.
"So what does this have to do with Bern you ask? Everything! If we help Bern win it's freedom, it will owe Lycia. So then what shall we ask of them?"
"To help us destroy the ABOMINATION ERTURIA!" someone yelled.
"Yeah!"
"AMEN!"
Morgoth smiled. "So who will help us? The Marquess of Laus has given me to fine men to help you hone your skills on the way. Who will come? Who shall bring glory and honor to Lycia? Who will protect their families from the Erturian threat, but you?"
"YEAH!"
"Now spread the word," Morgoth called out,"and meet us a mile outside Pherae in three days time. Then we shall march to Bern and Victory!" Morgoth was grinning as he left the town square. The war drums shall beat. Let them roar.
OoC: If you guy's don't care, I'll go ahead and move Kristoph, Mertanel, and Moi to Pherae. And Suport with Kris?
