Yeah, foreword, the mastery of this idea was not my own.
Anyways... to the point. I'm aware of Kraft's absence, but as suggested earlier in the cbox today, it was proposed that - starting with my small group (Cebrail, Reylan, Bridget, Mana, Balthier, etc) - we could at least START to plan an attack against Eturia.
Consequently, this would result in a story-affecting thread(s) in which two big groups slowly grow and then clash against each other.
Moreover, players - through smaller threads such as Gabbiano's, or any other small RP nonstory threads - could subtly decide which to fight for, or stay neutral. However, it may just be wise to do whatever the hell they wanted until then.
But essentially, I think it would be a good idea to NPC Kraft, at least for the time being. I know this was, at one point, a widely discussed topic... but nonetheless, it would get the story rolling again in more than one place.
Again, this is JUST an idea. An idea, though, that I strongly support and think would work. For example, Cebrail suggested our group start a war council. And within months, weeks, whatever, our group could be leading small battalions or armies, or whatever.
Regardless, it sounded like a good idea to me. Any thoughts?

Always thinking one step ahead of us. Whatever the outcome, I'll be content with it. I wasn't planning on leading battalions just yet. When it all comes down to it, Reylan is only another knight. However, this may be a chance for us to improve our skills.
To elaborate, we were thinking of taking our current forces to the Etrurian border and fight a few small skirmishes there. If things were to go poorly for us, we'd retreat back into Lycian territory. After we all feel strong enough (in other words, grow a couple of levels), we might consider requesting additional troops from another source and lead an assault into Etruria.
Although Kraft is currently absent, I'm going to agree with Gabbiano and say that NPCing him would probably be to our advantage. With all due respect, if he returns anytime soon, he can be informed of what events took place and amend them if need be.
In a nutshell, the main reason I responded to this thread was to serve as a second opinion to Gabbiano's idea. Like he said, this is PURELY an idea. It does not have to happen at all. However, I am inclined (and somewhat tempted) to ask for your thoughts on this matter.

Let me start by giving a link to the other topic where this was discussed: wayofdawarrior.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=2132As I said before, I agree with Kraft and his plans being handled my members, and I already listed those that I believe are most apt to do so. And I like the idea of players taking up the battle by themselves, so go ahead with the plan. I'd love to see it in motion. ^_^
