Yaen sat at the bar of the Inn the group was spending the night at. Valcrist seemed to have wandered off, but oh well. If he came back, he came back, if he didn't, oh well. The boy could take care of himself. Right now, Yaen was celebrating his own defeat at the hands of Sacae's Crimson Demon with a nice hot cup of tea and a dying adrenaline rush.

Arturia walked into the bar which she had never tried to visit. All of this was new for this ex-noble girl. Then she saw Yaen sitting alone. After his defeat, Arturia hadn't spoken with him except when she helped to heal the two swordmasters' wound. Leaving him alone might be a good choice, men usually needed some time alone after getting a defeat in battle. She resisted the urge to cheer him and looked around for another empty seat. But then a hand, bigger than hers, grabbed her wrist. She turned and found a man who looked drunk grabbed her wrist tightly and pulled her. "Hehe, it's rare to see a blonde woman around here. You're not Sacaen, are you?"
The smell of alcohol came out from his mouth as he spoke, Arturia tried to stepped backwards. The girl was trying to keep calm and smiled. "Yes, I born in Etruria." The man stared at her for awhile before laughing and tightening his grip. "Etruria, huh? A cleric?" He noticed that she was carrying a Heal staff. "Still daring to come here after what your country did to us, little girl?" His angry stare made her scared and struggled to free her hand, but she had no power to do that. "Come on Etruria hottie, I will show you my hospitality." He forcibly pulled her to follow him, Arturia couldn't resist at all and people around her didn't try to help her either.
(So we leave that reunion thread, Yaen?)

(Yeah. Didn't want to make you guys wait any longer.)
Yaen wasn't all that down from the fight. He hadn't expected to beat Kenshin, in all honesty, he had just wanted to fight him. He was, however, pleased with his own results. No, what bothered him were the questions. Sooner or later, his little group would want to know just what sort of dealings he'd had with Kenshin in the past. That wasn't something he was comfortable giving up.
Yaen gave a heavy sigh as he swallowed a mouthful of hot tea, letting the wonderfully warm drink settle in his stomache. Finally, he got up, hot tea still in his right hand, and wandered through the crowd to place himself infront of the thug dragging away his client. He looked down at his tea, as if completely uninterested. "A Sacaen should have more respect for a woman and for one in service to their diety, regardless of his personal feelings towards the people of her nationality." he stated, taking a sip from his cup. "...Three." he added. He did not say another word, but instead rested his left hand on the sword at his left hip.

Arturia couldn't break free whatever she did, the cleric was forced to follow the drunk man. The people around didn't even try to help, they just whispered and watched Arturia being dragged away. Then suddenly she felt he stopped walking, she bumped to his back. Still trying to free her hand from his grip, she could hear a familiar voice. Arturia stepped to the side to see who it was. "Yaen." She felt safe at the sight of the swordmaster. The thug seemed forget about her at that moment and focused only to the man in front of him, Arturia noticed that and used the chance to break free. She managed to do it which made the thug surprised. But only for a moment. His other hand quickly grabbed her shoulder. "Aaa..." She let out a small groan when she felt the pain. The thug knew he could use this girl as a shield to confront the swordmaster.
"Well, my friend. It is not your business. And this girl won't pay you for helping her, you won't get anything from playing hero." The thug stepped back, creating a distance between them as he noticed Yaen's hand touch his sword. The man was completely drunk, at least that was what Arturia thought. Then with a violent pull, she freed herself although the pain ran through her shoulder and his grip left a bruise. This time she ran quickly and hid herself behind Yaen.
The thug was left dumbfounded and he didn't know what to do next. Still drunk, he shouted as he started to walk forward. "Hey, girl! Come back here..."

Yaen took another sip of his tea. "I'm not a hero, and feel somewhat insulted that you would insinuate such a thing." he replied. "I'm but a humble mercenary protecting his client. ...Two." he stated, ending his sentence with another number. At the same time, he pushed against the hilt of his sword with his thumb, freeing but a small portion of metal. Arturia then freed herself and ducked behind him for cover.
"...One." With that, Yaen thrusted his cup upward at the man, splashing the steaming hot liquid in his face. Taking a single step forward, he grabbed the left blade with his left hand in a backhand position, and brought it directly forward to strike the man square in the chest with the pommel.

The thug felt his eyes burned as the hot liquid was splashed to his face. "Aaaaarh!!!" His hands covered his eyes and he screamed with scary voice which showed the great pain in his eyes. Because of that he couldn't see the swordmaster attacked him, he was thrown backwards after his chest was hit hard by the sword. It seemed his opponent was kind enough not to use the sharp edge. His head hit a table before falling into the cold floor. "Yo-You..." He tried to speak to Yaen while still covering his eyes with both hands.
Arturia gasped and approached the fainted thug, slowly and carefully. After she was sure that he was really still alive, she knelled and pointed her staff towards his wounded eyes, chanting a healing spell. The burn was gradually disappeared and the man began to open his eyes. "Don't worry. You won't be blind because I have chanted a healing spell for you." The cleric said that gentle words with a genuine smile. Few people looked at them, the girl who had been assaulted by the man was helping her attacker just now. Was she crazy? The thug was speechless and just let Arturia heal him. He couldn't react to something like this.
Arturia finished and quickly stepped backward, honestly, she was still scared but her face didn't show that. She walked towards Yaen smiling. "Thank you, Yaen. You save me." She ran her hand through her blonde hair which was messed up after the incident. "By the way, I am sorry for not talking to you. I thought you need to be left alone for some time. Are your wounds still hurt?"

Yaen gently fed the blade back into its scabbar with a single, fluid movement. He then looked at his empty wooden teacup, turned it upside down, shook it a few times as if hoping more tea would magically appear, and sighed. "I'm out of tea." he lamented to no one in particular.
He looked at Arturia. "Thanks are not in order. I was simply doing the job you hired me to do." he replied. "I'm feeling fine, thank you. Nothing that a little first aid could not fix." he assured her, turning to head back to the bar for a refill. "...Where is Wein?" he asked.

"Eeh...Wein?" She hadn't met him since she left her room, the archer should be in his own room or walking around the city. "I don't know. I think he is in his own room or take a walk around the city. It seems he is interested with Bulgar, actually, me too." She followed him walking to the bar and got herself a cup of warm tea. Arturia took a sip and tasted the warm sweet flavor which slightly different than Etruria traditional tea.
"Yaen..." Her sweet voice was calling the swordmaster. She looked at his eyes. "Because I am already here drinking with you, I want to tell you something. First, I thank you for taking me all the way to Sacae, but I will leave Bulgar soon and go to Bern to meet my family." Arturia paused for a moment to sip the tea, she knew this time would come because the group's destination was Sacae since the beginning, Yaen's homeland. She was travelling with them to make her way towards Bern easier. "It is a good bye. I will miss you, Wein, Valcrist, our little group."
"But I won't leave so soon. At least until I find a way to go to Bern and buy map."

Yaen thoughtfully stared at his cup. "I told you I would take you as far as Bern's border, and I am going to do just that." he replied.

"Really?" Arturia smiled but felt worried at the same time. "I thought we would part when we arrived here. I mean, you must have somewhere to go, like your village or family. I thought so. But I am happy to hear that, I won't be alone, at least until we reach Bern border." Actually, she feared that they would get involved in her problem, she had been hunted by Etruria assassins because her family was accused heretic by The Prophet. Her father died protecting her and her mother, her mother died to let her escape. When she met with the group in that cave, the assassins lost her trail because her mother gave her enough time to run. But she was sure that they would wait for her in the border, although she had taken a detour through Sacae, she knew they were to clever to be deceived.
Honestly, she didn't really know whether her relatives in Bern was still alive or not. If The Prophet's hand had reached Bern, then she could only hope and pray for their safety. But she didn't have anywhere to go, Bern was the only choice and might be the last. Arturia had swore to live for her parent sake who sacrificed themselves to save her.
"Mmm...May I know where you will go next after escorting me to the border, Yaen? Just curious."
---Meanwhile---
In the vast plain, two men wearing black cloak were standing here waiting something. Then an eagle dove from the sky carrying a piece of paper tied at its leg. The taller man took the paper and opened it. "Gotcha, she is near." He said to the shorter man who just nodded. Their faces were completely hidden by their iron masks.
OoC : Don't mind the assassins part, they won't appear in this thread lol. Just a plot for Arturia.

Yaen raised his cup, letting the hot vapor rising from it warm his face. "I don't have any plans for a homecoming. Truth be told, I don't know if I can remember their faces, and I know for certain they won't recognize mine." he explained, taking a sip from the cup. Five years, now. He had only been a seventeen year old when he left. He had been a cripple as well, who spoke with a stutter. Now, things were different. He walked straight, thanks to that cleric Alcibie, though he hadn't enjoyed the experience. She had to have his legs broken with rocks, then reset. It had been awful. As for the stutter, well, he worked over it. It still came up now and then, but not often enough to give much of his attention too. No, no one would recognize him if he were to go home.
"...I don't know." he replied. "It has not crossed my mind. I rarely put much thought into what happens next. I decided I was going to take you to Bern. Once we get there, then I'll figure out what to do afterwards." was his honest reply. "Perhaps Wein will take you farther, but I personaly have no interest in crossing the border. The Sacaens and Bernese have had a long, troubled past, and hatred runs deeper than ever." It took all of his will not to grope at the scar over his heart as he thought of one particular Bernese wyvern knight.

Arturia listened as Yaen replied to her question. Couldn't remember the faces? That was still better, at least Arturia might have no one left in Etruria who she could call as "family". Even people who she was going to meet in Bern was just distant relatives, she only met them once when she was just nine years old.
Arturia giggled a little when heard his reply. "That's enough, Yaen. I will go by myself after we reach the border. Of course, I don't mind if Wein will come with me, but the path is dangerous." She looked down, looking at the floor. Was it the time to tell the fact? She spoke with low voice because she didn't want another people hear what he said. "You know the Prophet, don't you? My family, Garland family, was a noble family in Delfia. My father served Etruria before he was accused as heretic and killed by the Prophet. After that, I and mother was declared as criminal and hunted by the Prophet's henchmen. That's why I want to go to Bern alone, because I am sure that they will wait for me there." A sad smile traced on her lips.
"But what can I do? I don't have anywhere else to go now. It is my only choice." Looking at her empty cup, she turned and asked for refill.

Yaen pensively sipped his tea in thought. "You could always stay here, you know. Most Sacaens do not believe in the teachings of St. Elimine, but some do, and we also have some Bernese people in Bulgar. I'm certain you would be excepted into a small church somewhere." he suggested. "Or...if you are trully intent on going to Bern..." Yaen looked at her. "You could just make yourself look like a boy." he stated. "Cut your hair, dye it a different color, throw on some boys clothes...You'd be rather pretty for a boy, but I'm sure with enough work you could sell it."

Arturia refrained herself, she wanted to laugh as the thought of her dressing as boy popped in her mind. She couldn't even imagine it, but she wanted to see how she would look like. She didn't mind cutting her hair but to dress as a boy...she wanted to laugh at herself.
"Thank you, Yaen. But...My last family might be still living in Bern, if they are still alive. The Prophet's influence might not reach Bern, so, hopefully, they are safe." She put her cup, his idea sounded good, but... "And I might not be able to live in church again, I can't settle in one area, at least until they stop pursuing me. I would endanger everyone if they found me," she said. Keeping the smile on her face, she looked around.
"Haha, why I told you anyway." She giggled.

The swordmaster shrugged. "It was just a suggestion." he replied. "...Where on earth is Wein? Honestly, don't tell me he's gotten himself lost. I just now found him agaiiiaaaa..." Yaen's words died off with a low groan. His left hand released the teacup, and it clattered on the table. With his right hand, he clutched at his heart. Keeling over, he gritted his teeth and took a deep, hissing breath. Shakily, he got up, almost losing his balance in the process. "Upstairs..." he grunted, unable to take a breath deep enough for a coherent sentence.
