Ooc: The following is a book of Journal entries made by Nate. They are in character.
Ic:
Hello. If your reading this you are about to receive the bits of knowledge every person should have.
Chapter 1 Light Magic
There are many "unofficial" guides to magic. Although dark magic has the least knowledge surrounding it, Light magic is the one with the most inconceptions about it. It is not fully religious. I in fact have a religion that has nothing to do with the magic I perform.
Light magic does in fact come from faith. But faith in the form of a belief. That belief can be something purely personal. You need for the belief to be one you would be willing to stake your life on. One largely used belief is a cause you believe in. Or something you love.
Light magic, is not dark magic. If you fail in light magic, depending on the cataclysm, there may or may not be permanent reprucusions. Also if your belief is a lie it won't actually kill you or harm you, it simply won't conjure a spell. So if light magic is the path you choose you must be honest while casting.
Now if you have ever watched an acolyte cast a spell you would of seen hand signs. You would of heard incantations. Well these are techniques I call faith channels. Although the men of monasteries would disagree with me.
If the faith you have is one of justice the spell will work even better. That is why many spells for personal gain are better than those for religious purposes. Thus concludes chapter one of the Neccessities of Knowledge.

Chapter 2 The Birth of Ichobad
Documents showing to be aged about 200 years after the scouring tell of a great hero. The mans name was Ichobad. Ichobad was only a simple Bard but he was unmatched in strength and cunning.
Ichobad was born of a man of Illia and a woman of Etruria. So he was raied in the center of Delphia. He learned at a very young age all of the history, stories, and myths of Elibe. They were origanally for him to become a priest. Putting the boy in a monastary, or church would save him from starving with his poor family.
But elightement would never come. One day when he was fifteen a young Bard came to town. Ichobad went to a bar to ask for a few cooking supplies. The Bard had made his stop in that bar and begun to play his flute. Ichobad heard nothing but a way to make quicker money for his family. A hero's story begins in Greed as the youth stole the Bards flute hours later as he slept.
