Riza shivered when she walked into the crypt. The air was humming with magic. She looked over and Elias, wondering if he had noticed it as well. When the other four began pushing the sarcophagus open, Riza was reading the magic in the air. Perhaps it was a kind of magic only those attuned to the elder arts could feel, for not even Cecil seemed to mind it. This thought scared her. She knew that not all dark magic users were as kind and peppy as she. Then magic seemed to come from behind the sealed door... but there was some coming from the newly revealed skulls.
Riza walked over to the skulls, examining them. She felt their magics, from the humming of the crystal to the deep grinding of the stone. Oh, what a magician hears. She reached in and picked up a strongly resonating skull. "I think it may be this one. Elias, can't you feel its power?" she mused, holding out the skull to the mage.

"Oh sweet! Skulls!"He quickly dove into the newly unearthed tome and grabbed his self a ruby skull. Holding it up next to his head. "This is what I want MY skull to look like." He tried to copy the look the skull had on it's face. It was odd. "I think I'll call him Skelly." He muttered lightly, looking at the red skull. "You know, I'm indcredibly surprised they're still around. It seems that raiding these Sarcophogi would be the first choice anyone makes... Even if these skull are just, you know, skulls... It seems unlikely that these ornate ones remain. A skull made of gems is still gems to be pawned." Elias muttered, turning his ruby head bones carving in the light. "By all means, I shouldn't of found Skelly... this doesn't bode well."
Suddenly he dropped the serious attitude and cringed. "Ugh, this whole place stinks to high heaven of onion." He laughed and waved his hand in front of his face, winking. He noticed Razzle holding a skull towards him. "Hrm... yes that one does stink even worse then the others." He grumbled. Looking at it with a curious eye. "Not red enough though... Stupid ancients, no sense of style. Shoulda used skully instead, she's the prettiest skull in the box."
"I'm not exactly sold on it being the right one though. It seems this place was raided before, and by mages too from the looks of it. If it was as simple as the one with the most MAGIC shooting out of it like awesomeness from me, then this puzzle would of been solved faster then fast. In fact, sometimes it's the most mundane that's the right answer." Elias picked up another skull, this one was plain wood. "Hrm..." He poked his finger inside the eye socket for fun. "Hehe. You got no eyes."
Putting it down he smiled. "We should check the others before anyone jumps to any conclusions. Probably a missing piece somewhere. Otherwise trial and error would dictate this puzzle be solved already. I think there's something we're all missing."

Nathaniel had walked into the tomb behind Cecil. He hadn't noticed the sarcaphogas, so he continued to follow the old man as he opened the door. He felt a rush of magic hit him. Whoa skulls, scary.
Anybody else feel weird being here? I feel like I've been drunk for a few hours, but I'm not drunk wait am I?" He picked up a large silver skull. He dropped it and kicked it. It didn't feel like silver. It hit a the wall and remained undented. He had felt light in it. But he picked up another skull and was almost thrown back by the presence of this amount of dark magic. He dropped it and all of a sudden he was fine. He picked it up again. No darkness. Huh?

Mana grabbed a skull and opened its jaw out of curiosity. She annoyed when she found nothing inside, she expected to find something. Throwing the skull back into its place, she turned around and wandered around. She knew they were looking for a key or something so she wanted to help.
The myrmidon stopped when she saw a hole in the wall, she peeked but it was too dark to be able to see something. The hole was enough for her hand, she stretched her hand into the hole. Now she regret it, inside was full with dusts.
"Geez, I should think twice before trying something stupid like this." Mana grumbled, mostly to herself. But then she felt like touching something solid, it was definitely not stones or spiders, hopefully not spiders. "I think I have found something..." She grabbed that thing and pulled it out of the hole. This thing was a skull, it was gold-colored. "Beautiful..." Mana smiled, although she felt weird to regard a skull as a beautiful thing.
"Hey Garnet! I found something interesting here." The myrmidon jogged towards Garnet and showed him the golden skull.

Upon Elias's explanation, Riza looked at the skull. It was a crystal one, not as shiny or pretty as the others, but powerful. "There have been accounts of crystal skulls being used to store power in. It must just be some ancient artifact. Maybe if I keep it, I can draw energy from it someday..." she said to the mage, dropping the skull in her bag. "But I will keep looking, both with my eyes and my mind."
She really thought that skull was the key... But if Elias didn't she was ok with looking some more. Riza stepped closer to the sealed wall, examining the murals. There was more than one depicting heroes battling dragons, dating this place to either during or after the Scouring. If she was correct, then there could maybe be something big in here... Riza's mind left to conclusions, and she pictured them finding a captured dragon, sleeping for a thousand years, just waiting to be freed so it can wreak havoc. She shook her head, as though to shake the thought out of it, and kept examining the wall.

Elias thought over everything. Critically too. No time for foolish delusions of grandeur, though he loved them so. He scuttled over to the other sarcophogi, and unbolted them so the lid slid off easy. The bolt was the problem, without it even the comparably weak Crimson Mage was able to manipulate the lids. Inside was something so amazing, so breath taking that it was a wonder Elias wasn't dead. It was... It was!
Absolutely nothing. Gah, bummer.
Huh... It seems the one they already opened was the only one with anything in it. That was.... odd to say the least. What, skulls not good enough? Did the bandits loot these three and said "Oh, we're good. No precious metal or gems for us please, they look like skulls and that freaks us out herp a derp." He felt the insides of the sarcophagus, that was a funny word, and found nothing but musty cobwebs from not being used. "Interesting..." The mage muttered, he lifted his stolen skull up to the light, letting it filter through.
"By logic, this beautiful and magnificent skull should very much not exist. At least here. Maybe in some pawnshop in Etruria, they like this creepy crap even if they are oh so super religious. Mages out the wazoo in Etruria." He muttered quietly to his self. After checking each sarcophagus, just to be sure, he headed back to the skulls. "Alright. There's something interesting. It seems all the tombs were plundered... but this one." He said, tapping his chin as he thought. "I think this one in particular... was sealed by something. Something that we unsealed somehow for some reason..." He turned his gaze over the Cecil and his book.
"Maybe..." He added with a mutter. But before he could continue he violently shuddered, as if a cold wind blew right through him. The smell of onion was pungent, that meant elder magic was at work. Could it be... no... That was only theorized by the books he's read... but... maybe... "Alright Cecil. Open this punk, I wanna see the ruins."

"That... is a golden skull." the skull Mana was holding out towards him was very shiny. If someone watched him very carefully, they could notice that he seemed to be uncomfortable with skulls. That, or perhaps he just disliked them. It was difficult to tell. Cecil meanwhile, had been conducting a thorough search through the sarcoghagus, searching for a particular skull. Elias was right. Most of them had missed something. He'd told them to take a look at the illustration in his book, but apparently no one had listened well enough. So, he searched on his own, and was rewarded. "Here. You see? Sometimes, the answers are only simple, when you already hold the answers. The old man held up the skull in one hand, and his book in the other, showing that they matched exactly. He wore a rather pleased smile on his face, as he stepped over to the pole near the door, and placed the skull on top of it. Nothing happened. "Ehh... Cecil, that was supposed to do something, right?" There was a soft click just as Garnet finished his question, and then a loud roar of as stone scraping on stone, the door suddenly in a swift free fall, and sliding down to rest beneath where the carved door had once stood. Inside was an empty, black hallway, shrouded in the dark. Then quickly, and in succession, small globes of soft light began to appear near the ceiling, and leading inward. "The door to an ancient, untouched magic facility has just been opened for the first time in nearly eight hundred years."- - - - - All around the mountain, in entrances and caves, hidden, and explored, similar and different from where the band of treasure searchers were, quiet snicks, and clicks could be heard, before the doorways slid open with resounding cracks. Echoes rolled across the landscape, startling flocks of resting avian creatures into the air. The doorways were open.

"Stupid ancient civilization. There should of been a trick somewhere. Not something that could be solved by blind trial and error, I am disappoint." Elias folded his arms and had a scowl on his face. Something about the answer being so obvious rubbed him the wrong way, made him feel dumb, and made it feel like all the searching he did years ago was stupid. He kind didn't even wanna go in. Of course he would, but he was bitter.
"That doesn't change the fact that if this tomb was opened by anyone else, this puzzle wouldn't of been solved in time. Eight hundred years is a long long time. To put it in perspective, about thirty generations away from us. Our great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents." Elias grumbled.
"This sarcophagus must of been sealed by something, or someone and somehow we over came it and solved the stupid baby puzzle for children. Mark my words, there's something off about this entire mess. Even if it was because of "Da Book!" 800 years is a long time. Someone would of found that book before now, and tried to use it." Elias muttered, touching his chin quietly. "At least I think so. Still, we should be careful. Who knows what manner of creation we'll see beyond these doors..."

"Wow! That's amazing, old man," said Mana, she ran towards the hallway, throwing the skull upwards which somehow landed on Garnet's head afterwards. She didn't see it happen. "How could they make something like this?" The myrmidon touched the wall, but it was just a normal wall unlike that carved door, no trick in it.
Ignoring the possible danger waiting inside, Mana took a few steps further. This was a new experience for her, no wonder she was so excited. She just had to try to be more careful though. She glanced back to the group with a happy smile. "Come on!!!"

Riza smiled at the myrmidon, then said "I can't wait to see what kind of treasure we will find in there!" She walked forwards, her mind racing at the thought of the adventure that awaited them. They could find anything in there; ancient guardians, untold treasures, sleeping monsters! All the more opportunities to hone her skills.
Riza stepped into the darkness, and could no longer see anything. This will make fighting difficult... she thought. She turned back to the group and yelled, "Hey, Elias! Why don't you conjure up a ball of fire to fly ahead of us and light the way? It is black as pitch in here!"
