Kelvin had awaken early in the morning after a very restless night of sleep. As it was, he had tossed and turned all night and his thoughts had kept him awake. He couldn't keep his mind of Chelsea and how worried he was. "She can handle herself," one voice kept saying. "But you should be with," the other rebuked. "She had to do this herself," came the rebuttal. They had battled like this all night, but now Kelvin stood in front of the mirror rubbing his restless eyes. He hadn't shaved in a few days, but looking at his scruffy beard now, he liked it. He quickly dressed and put on his armor. In the corner of the room lay a helmet that seemed to have not been used in some time. Kelvin picked it up and looked it over. The armor was a little chipped here and there, but it matched his armor, so he brought it with him. He stepped out and inquired as to his cousin's whereabouts. After being pointed in the right direction, Kelvin saddled up Kashmir and set out at a full gallop. After an hour or so of riding, the cavalier arrived at a small outpost on the border. He was directed to the captain's quarters, while Kashmir was taken to the stable. Kelvin, being in high spirits after the ride to the outpost, decided to make a grand entrance. He took a few steps back and rammed the door with his shoulder. Throwing both arms up in a showy manner, Kelvin boldly declared, "Guess whose here?" It took Kelvin a moment, but the grin on his face turned to a smirk when he saw his cousin, pants down, with Chelsea's best friend. "Well, somebodies been busy," Kelvin teased, folding his arms and leaning against the door frame.

Pants. Being removed. Well...this was...going to get real awkward real quick.
...and then Kelvin burst in, and practically had the Paladin jump out of the bed, caught with his pants down metaphorically and literally," Kelvin! Didn't your mother teach you to knock! Besides- it's not what it looks like, and you know it." He paused- wait what did it look lik- oh...Oh! That took him awhile. Shifting nervously on the bed, he turned to the cavalier: "So...uh...you mind...I don't know, stepping outside for a minute or so, it's embarrassing enough to have to have her apply it- the splint, as is..."
He was trying to think of a way to change the conversation: Kelvin was always the type of guy to not only appear at the awkwardest of times, but also had something to say to make his arrival that much worse...but still, that's what made his cousin who he was, and reluctantly that's how he'd have it stay...

Karina tried has hard as she could to try to melt into the stonework. When Kelvins eyes still went from her to Rayl, and back, she said, "he tripped and sprained his leg, and I was about to apply a splint because she fears healers for some reason..." then, with the tiniest bit of venom, she added, "now would you please leave for a moment? It's been unattended for long enough." She didn't know who this person was, but he had horrible timing...

Ralph had been escorted to the guest room, but he really didn't need to sleep. Like Ralph had said, the world was always dark to him, in fact he had awaken from slumber not more than four hours ago. He heard a crash coming from some other room, but he didn't investigate it. Some people need privacy, no matter what they're doing. Rather than sleep more, he sat on his bed, trying to remember the beautiful sights that he had ignored as a child. From Bern to Nabata he had traveled, and yet not once stopped to take in the sights.

Kelvin rolled his eyes at his cousin, but stepped out of the room out of politeness. Thoughts dashed through his head. Where had Karina been? What was she doing with Rayl? What about the Lady Guinevere he had been introduced to? Too many thoughts rushed in, so he brushed them aside and leaned against the wall, waiting for Rayl to call him back in. After all, these questions could wait.

As Kelvin shut the door behind him, Rayl looked up the flustered Karina, and would have bowed in apology if he was standing," Sorry, that is my cousin Kelvin Calderon of Caelin, he'd a good man but-pops in at ba-awkward moments." he smiled briefly before looking back up to her, in her nightgown and all:
Yes. an awkward moment indeed...being caught with one's pants down (metaphorically and physically) was always awkward.

Karina blushed, keeling down to tie the board down onto Rayl's leg. "It's fine. I just hope he did not get the wrong idea about us..." she mumbled. When she had finished, she moved towards the doorway. "Well, seeing as though you are already on the bed, you may as well stay there until morning. And I mean it. Please, Lord Rayl, stay put." she gave him a heartening smile and exited the room.
When Karina turned around, she came face-to-face with Kevin. "I... Hroom," she coughed, "well, I think Lord Rayl can see you now."

"Oh don't worry, it's Kelvin, he won- will." he paused at that inevitable fact," Although you probably shouldn't be going about so much out there yourself: the way you're dressed and all...and what ever happened to the 'No-Formalities' clause?" he returned her smile with a smirk of his own and a wink (what? she DID say not to be formal as she exited the room, sitting up as rigidly as he could so as not to disturb the work just done on his leg: the splint was well improvised, though he wasn't really thinking about that at the moment...
The duel, the way she was looking at him, and maybe vice versa...and he was never this clumsy, last time he was such was when he had first talked with Guinevere after the battle, and before then...Persephone.
...Uh...Oh...

Karina rushed down the halls of the guard's quarters, finding one that was unused. She leaned up against the wall, slumping over. Her mind was a mess with thoughts, many surrounding Rayl. She wanted to know how her thought of her, but didn't know how to ask... But why do I want to know so bad...? she thought I mean, I don't like him enough to wonder how much he likes me... Do I? Ach, pesky feelings, getting in the way of doing my duty... what should I do? She slumped down against the wall more, running her hands through her hair. The band that held her hair up caught in her fingers and snapped. Karina cursed quietly, then took a small looking mirror form her pack.
Her hair fell down to the small her her back. She didn't remember it ever being so long. She played with her hair for a bit, and smiled when her bangs did what she wanted. They covered half of her face. She liked the way it looked... It was different from what most people would expect from her. Karina Finally stood up, brushing her newly styled hair over one shoulder, and got into the bed. Sleep enveloped her like a soft, dark blanket.

Kelvin, deciding Rayl had enough embarrassment for one day, decided it was probably best to head to bed. After a few minutes of not asking for directions, Kelvin finally found a room he could bunk in for the night. After stripping of his armor, he fell quickly to sleep, hoping for a dreamless night.

A rooster's crow was what awoke Rayl from his sleep....sleep. he actually did...Although his dreams, while not bad, were of a less than honorable nature...It didn't help that Karina had left her things in the room, most notably her Rider's uniform.Slowly sitting up as he began to undo the splint from his leg,he stretched the previously injured limb, and while still sore, at least it wasn't to the point of him falling over when he tried to walk. So after getting up, he begun the usual pain-staking task of putting on his armor, with the added annoyance of gather it up from around the room and putting it on without upsetting his leg.
Once suited up in his illuminating armor, he paused to look to the equipment and clothing left behind by Karina, paused for a moment, before he took a light hold of the clothing, folding it up neatly as he ignored the awkwardness of it, before placing the armored pieces on top. strapping her lance to his back, he picked up the parcel and exited the room, managing to hide his faint limp: Last thing Karina needed was running back to the room in her night attire. Inquiring what he could from the guards, he made his way down one hallway after another, before stopping at the third door on the left, and with brief hesitation:
Knocked.
OOC: Rayl is like that best non-gay boy friend a girl can have...he's like Val only women like him. .___.

Ralph hadn't slept, mostly because he wasn't tired. So when a knock came upon his door he opened it without hesitation. "Yes?" He replied, being unable to tell who it was, "May I help you?"

Oh if ONLY Ralph could see the look on Rayl's face, eyes wide in shock as he looked over Ralph's shoulder to see if Karina was in there somehow. But luckily he managed to keep himself calm, and respond in a mildly shaky tone," No no, Ralph, I'm just giving you the heads up to prepare your things: We're heading out within the next hour or so." with this he made to turn around and get away from this awkward incident, and at THAT moment thanked St. Elmine that the door he knocked on wasn't Kelvin's, as he made to knock on the RIGHT door this time.

Karina woke to a bright, if not somewhat chilly, new day. She got out of bed, batted her eyes a few times to get the sleep out, and realized that she left all of her clothes in Rayl's room. Great, if things were not awkward enough... Now I get to beg for my clothes back. Karina thought, checking the hallway to make sure there were no onlookers.
Karina raced to Rayl's room and cursed when she found it empty. Rayl must have taken my things and gone looking for me... He is too decent for his won good... And mine she brooded. So Karina spent the rest of her morning running around a fort full of men half-dressed. Her dressing gown being a year or two old, she had never really noticed that it had gotten a little small around her chest... But she did as soon as she tried to ask a soldier where Rayl was. She had repeat herself three times, each time she did, she watched the man's eyes drift from her face.
Almost an hour later, a very embarrassed, frustrated Karina found the limping figure outside of a room that was one door off from her own. "Rayl..." she said, looking at the bundle in his arms. "Er, thanks for bringing me my stuff..."

Ah, so it was Rayl, that made sense. Making sure everyone was ready to embark on their journey. "Thank you, Sir Rayl. I'll be sure to be ready." Ralph couldn't help but feel as if the ground was shaking a little, as if Rayl was fidgeting while he stood there.
Regardless, Ralph strapped his swords to his belt. It had been quite some time since he last used them, so he slowly swung them around his room to refresh his mind on their weight. The one on his left thigh, which meant his right hand would grab it, was the Steel. Much heavier than the Slim for his off hand. He thought that it might be better to just use them one at a time, since he wasn't used to the movements of two swords.
