Grayson grew very annoyed with Jade as he rattled off needless information for what seemed like an endless amount of time. He really did dislike know-it-alls. Well it was more people who flaunted their knowledge that got on his nerves. Knowledgeable people in general didn't bother him. In fact, he hoped to one day be such a person. When the boy was finally finished, the woman in front of them acknowledged that what he said was correct and introduced herself.
So only certain people can do that? Grayson sunk as he thought to himself. He was so looking forward to learning how to become a gigantic winged reptile and taking to the skies. However, he supposed that something like that would take a long time to learn. Time he didn't want to spend at the moment.
Grayson was asked to give his name. He was about to tell her his full name when it dawned on him that it would be in the group's best interest that he keep his family and origin from this stranger until he knew he could let her know of them.
"Um. I am Grayson. Journeyman juggler and novice archer."

"Oh Elmine." The mercenary buried his face in his palm. This probably wasn't what she expected or wanted when she said she needed a rest. A pair of children pestering her about everything. Grayson didn't even look that young, but he was just as childish as Lord Reglay. At least the pupil had an excuse. He didn't pretend that he knew a lot about dragons, no one did really. He only knew what everyone else did. They were a powerful and reclusive race that preferred to live apart from humans. They were only rumored to have existed, until recently. There has been word of a particular dragon woman hanging around Lycia, as well as scattered sighting around the world. When you were a mercenary, you paid attention to rumors like this as they tend to be the best way to get work.
The dragon turned into a woman, probably shorter then Roland his self, but with considerably larger... err... wingspan. She was quite beautiful though. "If you need to rest..." Roland said as he walked over, leaving his shirt over there by Guinevere and Inigo. "There's beds in the lower decks that will probably be more comfortable then sitting out here on the deck." He pointed a thumb over his shoulder in the direction of the stairs down into the lower decks. "I'm Roland Hawkthorne, by the way Miss Saffra." He did a little bow. Funny how manners died in the face of curiosity and fear.

"Damned boat, stop...moving around" Gabriel muttered, using the mast to keep his footing. He hadn't had a problem with the rocking up until now. He must have hit the ground harder than he thought he had. "I wish I knew how to stop the sea for a second." he muttered this time, but then chuckled, realizing how foolish that was.
It took him almost a minute more before his vision stopped being blurry and he felt he could let go of the wooden pole. He picked up bottle of water from the nearby barrel and poured it down on his face. His nose had stopped bleeding, and he had to clean up the crimson mess that was his face.
With renewed strength, he slowly made his way to the bow. "Wyatt...?" he asked when getting close to the small group that had gathered up front, but then diverted his attention to the woman sitting in the middle of them. "S-Saffra? What are you..." he was about to finish his sentence when he realized that it was probably thanks to her that the boat rocked so much moments ago. God dammit, woman, be more careful next time!

If anyone was taking notice of Inigo's fear of the dragon, Aaron didn't notice it. The green-haired young man, followed Wyatt over towards the dragoness that was now being thronged by the entire group. And who could blame them? Dragon's were the stuff of legends, from a time of legends.
What was even more amazing was that Wyatt seemed to know her from somewhere. Said she'd saved his life. After that, Aaron decided that he must have inadvertently broken the laws of reality with some of his spell-weaving earlier, as Gabriel came out and seemed to recognize Wyatt, and then the Dragon.
"Gabriel? you know... know....You. Wyatt. and... Saffra?" The mage just couldn't seem to get a sentence out. He'd met Wyatt, and then they'd been separated. Then he'd met Gabriel. Then he finds that Gabriel and Wyatt know each other, and the dragon that just landed on the ship from out of the deep sea. What were the odds. Terrible, except in some kind of story about heroes.
"Um... I'm sorry to interupt, but could someone explain what is going on. Is there anyone else here that knows someone I know?"

Wyatt turned to see Gabriel, laughing and grabbing the wobbling mage in a half headlock. "Gabriel too? Man it's one hell of a reunion!" He laughed loudly. At Aaron's question though, he settled down and released Gabriel, moving about the deck with a broad smile. It was good to see old friends again.
"Well, I remember my story pretty well. I'm Wyatt, a blacksmith from the outskirts of Laus. I know Aaron from a run in with a group of bandits. I met Gabriel and..Ms. Saffra was it? Yeah, I ran into them in Laus in some magical free-for-all, nearly got a good view of the burning hells during that. That was a while ago though, didn't think I'd run into you all again." He couldn't remove the stupid smile from his face.
"I'm just heading around to practice my trade. What are you guys doing heading to Bern?"

Inigo had long since forgotten about drawing his weapon. He'd also forgotten about his puked on shoes or the fact that the dragon beast thing had just turned into a winged woman, right now: right now he was focused on wyverns, and just stood there, tapping the scar on his forehead with a gloved hand as they all talked and had some sort of reunion slash tea party. He was like this for a bit, until he heard something from that red haired boy about trade practicing...and then inquiring about their business:
"That, my good sir, is not your business." arms now folded across his chest, he turned to the young man and began eying him up and down: he looked to be around Sir Gabriel's age, maybe older maybe younger, he didn't know. Didn't seem too bad of the sort but still- a mission was a mission. Looking nervously over to the she-dragon-beast, he moved past Guinevere, and the headlocked Gabriel, before heading down into the inside of the ship again, making for his quarters:
He REALLY needed to change his boots...that and he didn't want to be around that-that thing!

It was as if the entire world believed that his head was to be shaken like a weapon in battle. Without much strength to fight back, Gabriel fell to the ground after the axeman dropped him. "Still working on weapons and armors, I see. I wish you could do something about these books, though" he said, getting up. He was still somewhat dizzy, but managed to recover far faster now that the boat had regained it's steadiness.
"We..." he said, stopping for a second. They had allowed so many people into the group today that they barely knew anything about that telling Wyatt simply seemed harmless compared to that. "We are to investigate the current situation in Bern. We heard word of a civil war there and were sent to scout, and going by water seemed safer than by land, even if it takes longer."
What would they do there, though? Probably even Rayl himself has no idea about that. Gabriel looked back towards Saffra, sitting a few meters away from him, and wondered whether the woman remembered him or not. He sure as hell remembered how hard her tail could hit.

Guinevere slowly lowered herself onto the deck, still clutching her stomach. At this point she didn't even have anything left to throw up, so she didn't need to worry about that. She also didn't worry about Miss dragon lady. If she was there to hurt them, she would have done it by now. So, Gwen focused on herself. She wanted to feel bad about Inigo and Roland for puking on them, but she needed to focus on herself for now. She really did. Letting her eyes close, she tried to rest the best she could in in a little corner of the ship.
But she couldn't just fall asleep, or even rest her brain. She kept thinking of Rayl and wondering if he was ok. Of course he was ok, he's the great Rayl! But still, the worrying part of her couldn't help but think something bad had happened. As a soldier, she was excited to finally see some action again. But as a girlfriend, she just wanted it to be over as soon as possible so she could make sure he's ok. He had to be, he was Rayl!

"Umm... I'm Jade... I'm from Etruria..."
As the manakete, Saffra had talked on, something else had sparked off in Jade's mind. She was from the Western Isles. A place filled with pirates, rumoured for its supposed treasures and with mysteries about an ancient ruin within that could link this world to another.
All of this information, as usual came from one of the books that Jade had read. So had the information about the manaketes. Jade had not known just how crucial and important the information that he had just said aloud was and how it could have harmed the manakete. The book that he had read was one written by the Archsage Athos and then lent to Jade's father as a research material.
Thankfully, with another topic on his mind, Jade had quite quickly forgotten about the manakete and the information surrounding them.
"So... You came from the Western Isle? Were there pirates? Treasures? Ancient ruins? The mysteries about the place, are they real?...", and yet another stream of questions came forth.

Mernatel made his way down deck. He hadn't seen Gabriel or he would of made a big deal about smething. But now his drunkness brought the thought of sleep to his mind, so he tried to find some place available. He probably had a room somewhere, but he couldn't remember.
He eventually to his delight found a hammack. He took off his armor and still drunk laid it in the manner taught to knights of the 33rd to take up the least pace and avoid damaging the armor. The knight flopped into the hammack. But then he fell out. This process repeated itself six more times. Until finally Mernatel stayed on his side in the hammack. And fell asleep preparing for his hangover in the morning.

OoC: If you're reading to get caught up on the thread, feel free to skip Grayson's and Aaron's posts through to the first ones on page five. They're just talking to one another for the time being which basically ends on page five. This is what happens when you forget what a support is for a while. :/
Grayson watched as Jade once again battered the woman with his inquiries. At this point, he had figured it best not to bother her as she seemed quite busy with other people. It took a while for his empathy to kick in most times, but it wasn't completely absent. He could imagine the tiresome situation of being mobbed by several strangers after just boarding a ship, possibly after a long flight.
Grayson pushed his way through the crowd back to where Aaron stood. He was easily the person in the group Grayson was most fond of. It was possibly because he figured he could emulate his ways as this mage seemed to be the kind of man Grayson wished he could be. Well-learned, well-traveled, and poetic. He finally stopped next to Aaron.
"Quite the lively day, huh Aaron? Though I don't blame anyone here. I mean, I'm just as guilty as Jade, I suppose." Grayson admitted with a chuckle. He finally realized that his behavior earlier was childish and was trying to make up for it with a bit of dignity, unpracticed as he was in that aspect.

Aaron's head took a downward tilt as he listened to Wyatt's story. Gabriel had mentioned that the Laus magic school had rebelled, siding with Laus. So Wyatt had been there, and so had Saffra, and Gabriel. The wheels in his head could be seen cranking as this new information was set into place.
"A dragon appearing? Not to mention meeting up with an old friend. Then learning that Gabriel and Wyatt knew each other... somewhat. Oh, it'll be a perfectly normal day in the pages of an adventure novel some day. I never thought I'd see such things in real life though." Aaron focused on standing there, avoiding falling from the gentle rocking of the ship, as he thought it all over again.
Then he let his thoughts wander. "I wonder if you could juggle fire balls...."

Grayson figured that made sense. Though they did happen to be on an adventure at the moment. It wasn't a stretch to think that one would find things only read in novels for those not seeing the world as they were. Grayson was still a bit embarrassed by his behavior earlier. It was odd that he noticed, though. He usually just does whatever he wishes without bothering to think of what he looked like to others. Embarrassment was a fairly new concept to Grayson.
"I wonder if you could juggle fire balls..."
Grayson was snapped out of his thoughts at that moment. He looked at Aaron with a slight hint of confusion, but mostly bewilderment. Fire balls? Wouldn't that hurt? Moreover, that was a very random question to be asking. Grayson attempted to compose himself as he answered.
"Um. Well I don't really know. It's certainly something I've never even dreamed of trying. It sounds like quite a show if I could master such a feat, though."

"Well there would be risks involved, of course, but I've heard of a juggler who did quite well altogether. Never left the area around Ryerde though.... Of course, He said that the initiation could turn quite painful. It was interesting listening."
Aaron kept a straight face as he said this. It was a prank that he'd seen pulled on a few visitors to his Grandpa Barek's facilities., and even himself in a slightly different way. A talented mage would be able to adjust the temperature to such a low level that it wouldn't even warm the victim. No one told the victim that though, as he reached out and attempted to do the impossible: to maipulate the flames.
"I'm not sure if it's a good idea though. I've only seen it done a few times...."

"I'm not sure if it's a good idea though. I've only seen it done a few times...."
Grayson pondered the idea of actually juggling fire for a moment. Naturally, it sounded outlandish, something he'd think only a magic wielder would be able to do. Or is it that they can only shoot fire balls? He wasn't sure. The only things Grayson had seen a mage do up until now is shoot things at other things. He figured a mage could do it, but he had barely any knowledge of magic itself so he wasn't sure.
"Well was that person you saw a mage of any sort? I can really only imagine one of your caste able to do it without losing their hands." Grayson grimaced and shook his hands as if they were lit aflame at the thought.
