Clair smiled at the word "friend." Well, that wasn't entirely true, as she was happy to get out of the wild lands, but it added to her smile. Maybe being here in Edessa was affecting her a little bit.
"If you think that's the place to be. The times I was here, weren't really spent getting to know the city."
She'd visited Edessa with her parents, and again as part of her training. Neither of those times had allowed for much exploration.
Illia's cold breeze enveloped her. even if she wasn't familiar with Edessa, it did share her country's cold breath. She'd lived down in the warm southlands for too long. If she was ever going to feel moderately warm again, she'd have to reequip herself with some new gear, while she was here.

He looked at the man who had sat down by the two, and he felt like he had hung around the inn long enough. No one bought his sketches, no money to stay the night... It'd be good to find a place where he could spend the night, he didn't particular look forward to sleeping on the streets... again. It was fine back in Lycia, but in Ilia it'll get him killed. Bending over, he picked up his thing of cardboard. For a moment he debated if he should save it or not, but it didn't really matter. He could always make another if he needed it, which he doubted. It helped him none. Instead he folded it up and much as he could, until it was springing back and trying futilely to return to it's original shape. Shoving it in the nearest waste receptical, accompanied with a small gruff and grunt of annoyance. Pushing the thing down as far as it will possibly go, and out of his sight.
With a small huff and sigh, he walked away, his arms tightly around his chest as he shuddered in cold.

"Ah...I didn't mean to insult you...Sorry." Fran could feel his anger. How stupid she was! She knew that he was a tactician, she had seen him a few times. Now, she had made someone angry, and this someone was Mavick. But... he looked like a boy...and honestly, Fran was thinking he was cute while riding his pony.
"I am Fran Northwind. I joined this army in that fort." Fran didn't know the name so she just called the fort "that". She moved closer and touched his pony. "Well, I didn't join actually. I just followed my friend Marcus." She smiled to him, hoping he wasn't angry anymore. "By the way, why are you carrying armors?"

Mavick hmphed. "Yes, well, I suppose this time it can be forgiven. Simple mistake and all." he really wasn't in the mood for a second explosion anyways. He patted his pony before checking to make sure that the armor was well secured to it's back. "This armor is for the Commander." he replied, continuing down the street. "We can't very well have him keep strutting around in Erturian armor. It will give allies the wrong impression."

Alaric looked as the blonde artist walked away shivering. He turned to the Soldier with the short black hair and offered a drink of Vodka and a ciggerette. "you smoke?" Alaric said to the well groomed Soldier.

Richter couldn't help but chuckle at Clair's response. "Well, I wouldn't put much merit in my thoughts," replied the ex-mercenary. He'd been to Edessa once and that had involved sitting outside the walls in a tent, waiting for the commanders inside to finish talking before setting out to march once again. "But I'd have to say, yes, that's probably the best place to start." Besides, Richter was just dying for a good meal.
The two headed over to the nearest tavern, which was currently overrun by rowdy soldiers. Looking around, Richter spotted an empty table, surprisingly, and sat down at it, beckoning Clair to sit in the seat across from him.

Fran just nodded, she didn't see the difference of Ilian and Etrurian armor but she understood the reason to change his armor. As far as she knew, Etruria was their enemy. She walked next to him. "I see. So that's why." Her pink hair bounced as she tried to keep up with his pace. The snow made the walk harder, she didn't mind though because she liked ice and snow. Fran was an ice dragon afterall.
"So...May I ask what are you going to do now? If you have free time, care to join me touring around this city? I don't mind walking alone, but having someone to walk with is always nice." Fran looked at him, staring with a pair of puppy eyes.

Clair looked around as they entered. She'd been in taverns before, on occasion, but never this crowded, or this boisterous. Her parents had always kept her away from the loud places as a young child, and during her training, and since, she'd not stopped at many places that could be compared to this. A new experience. How grand.
She sat across from Richter, crossing her arms on the table and smiling. Just smiling. She had to speak up a bit to be heard to be heard. "This is the loudest tavern I've ever been in." Not that she'd had the chance to visit many since she'd left Illia.

After the soldiers and their commander, along with the Pegasus beauty, had taken over the tavern, David quietly absconded. The ever-present snow quietly crunched beneath his feet as he walked through the city. He happened upon the angry tactician guy and the other beauty. He hadn't know them for long, but Mavick was the kind of person who seemed to like being alone.
So he approached the two, "I'll take you around the town if you want, Fran. I know a little about it. You should probably leave the tactician to his duties, he doesn't need us bothering him."
Speaking of which, Mavick's pony was carrying a new set of armor. David figured that must mean that the army had switched alliance, but he still couldn't remember what country the other colors belonged to. Either that or the tactician was stuck on repair duty, but that didn't seem likely.

((Mavick isn't on his pony.)) Mavick gave a mere "Hnn." Unlike the manakete, he did not seem to suffer much hindrance from the snow, despite his small stature. In fact, it was almost like the snow was shifting out of his way when his feet touched it. One of the curious traits of magic users.
"I'll take you around the town if you want, Fran. I know a little about it. You should probably leave the tactician to his duties, he doesn't need us bothering him."
"Agreed. I still have other things I must do." Like get this armor to Richter. With that settled, the dark mage maneuvered around Krisby, and lead his horse down to the tavern and nearby stable. Renting a stall for his pony, the little tactician fished out a few extra coins for the stable hand to play packmule. With the stable hand carrying the armor, Mavick entered the tavern and quickly weeded Richter out. Approaching the Commander, he tugged his arm. "Commander!" he stated loud enough to hear. "Where do you want this?" he asked, motioning towards the farm hand carrying Richter's new armor and shield.

((Sorry))
Fran was kinda disappointed when her request was turned down. "Oh, see you later, Mavick." She waved to him as the tactician left her and David. Well, she hoped he didn't go because he was angry to her for calling him boy. Turning around, she looked at David. "Well, it's you again, David."
"Well, where will you take me to? As you have known, it's my first time being in humans city." She pulled him closer and whispered into his ears.

"Um..." What was he thinking, as if he knew his way around the city. He'd lived in Ilia for five years, but he didn't have a home anywhere, he just lived in the inns and out on a job. The only place of interest he knew of was the tavern, but he had just been there.
"Well, I'm not a soldier, so I can't show you around the big buildings." Not like I'd even know who owns them.
"I figured we'd just walk around the city. Other than the spire you might've seen when we entered, it's just another city to me. Was there anything in particular you wanted to see?" This was the kind of thing Maria would like, so David knew how it worked. Thankfully, he had left the tavern before he became drunk, or else there would be problems.

"Yes, quite," replied Richter. "Though I doubt it's nearly this loud on a regular day. I'd have to say, the men are throwing quite the party." The commander looked around. The soldiers were making a pretty big ruckus, and Richter guessed most, if not all of them, were probably drunk off their rockers. Hopefully this wouldn't reflect to badly on him in the future. The pink haired Ilian shook his head. Quite the elite fighting force if he ever saw one. They'd been through so much, they deserved this little break.
Realizing that, with all the help occupied by the soldiers, it would be awhile before he and Clair could get anything to eat, Richter leaned back in his chair, only to be jolted up by a shouting Mavick.
"Commander! Where do you want this?"
Richter turned to his tactician, the stable boy from earlier carrying a set of armor. Wasn't he supposed to be watching the horse. Getting to his feet, the commander turned to Mavick.
"I'm assuming this is my new armor?"

Clair looked over from her seat, unsure whether she too should stand up or not. In the end, she remained seated. The shaman probably preferred it that way, in truth. Less craning of the neck.
"That's Mavick. Always quick and efficient." She said, grinning at their tactician. "Was the smith easy to deal with?" Truth be told, she'd probably be needing some new weapons soon. She'd have to start looking into that.

"Well, an interesting place." It didn't answer his question at all but Fran didn't know where she wanted to go. "You know. I am not familiar with cultures or buildings in this snowy country. So I think going to anywhere is fine, even just walking around is good enough for me." Fran actually hoped a better answer from him. But he offered himself to accompany her, she should appreciate it.
"But..." Fran put her finger on her lips and stared at David. "I prefer unique place."
