Etruria: Home of the Prophet. Land of the Saint. Within its borders held the best schools of magic and the most churches in all of Elibe. Delphia sat as the helm of Etruria as the shining city of light, spotless as an annointed soul. There was no room for his kind of work there. He was better stationed on the border for some passerby mage who needed his skills. So that's where Casey was: The border. The border near Lycia, to be exact. Ostia was no longer used by regular travellers because it has been condemned as a place of hellish creatures. There were other things out there that could kill you in a second and wouldn't have to think twice about it, which made anyone stay clear. The new routes of travel were through the mountains near the Etrurian/Lycian/Nabatan border or going through Sacae to Bern. That's where this Figaro was: a small city located in Etruria near the border mountains. This city was filled with guilds, taverns, and inns as it was now a major route in between the three countries. It cut through a small river that went directly from the mountains to the gulf. The name was "Villefront". Casey sat on a stool out in the streets with his bow and arrows clearly showing. He had a small sign set up, with the image of an archer taking aim. The archer sat patiently, fletching himself more arrows to pass his time, in between snacking on a bag of peanuts he had laying next to him. The man knew that anyone who was really looking for his services would pick him up in a split second, though most people were looking for sturdy men with large axes or swords, Casey's skills were undeniable. He was considering setting up a demonstration if there were more space and he had someone to watch his stuff for him that he trusted. Alas, there he sat. The smell of the market nearby and the noises of the city never calming.

Passing by were men, women, and children of different skins and different voices. They all seemed to glow with life, as if the problems of the world were not burdening them. Casey heard about a commander in the Etrurian army who defected and not everyone in Etruria was pleased with Kraft becoming the reigning prophet. There was also the issue of Ostia becoming a blackened mess and Lycia still trying to climb back on top. There was also rumors of rebellion in Bern, but... Figaro's eye was caught by a passing woman who carried an extremely ornate pair of blades strapped to her chest. He had never seen anything like them. They were... beautiful. He immediately ran up to the Nabatan, walking behind her. He tried to spy his eyes on her swords, admiring the craftmanship. This adoration was very brief as she turned around and pulled the swords on him. "Back off, scoundrel. I saw the lust in your eyes."Casey reared back, raising his hands in front of him. "Hey, hey! I wasn't going to waltz up and grab them, lady!"She replied, disgusted. "Of course you weren't going to, otherwise I would've lopped your hands off!"The archer stumbled with his words, mumbling a bit. "Though I'd be uh... lying if I said they weren't an extremely attractive pair. Actually, I wouldn't mind bringing them by my place to take a closer look." He said this slyly with a cheeky smile. The woman's face flustered as she had enough of this oggling and foolish man. "Enough!" She darted towards him with the blades, which he was able to spin around and avoid their piercing blades. With her flustered attack, he was able to grab her by the wrists, which he brought around her, spinning her around and pinning her against him. "So, are those real?"The woman nearly cried, feeling utterly harrassed and embarrassed by the man. What had she done to deserve this? "Actually, I recognize the markings on the blade. Curious. Did you get these in Nabata? I hear there's a skilled craftsman who lives there. These look like Wyrmslayers, if I'm not mistaken."The woman was shocked by how much he knew... and he wasn't as ill-intented as she initially thought. "Yes. it was a caravan stop near the edge of the Nabatan desert and my father bought them for me..." she calmly replied. Her attention then refocused to their awkward position. People were watching. "Let me go. You saw my blades. Besides, I'm busy."He let her go, noticing the onlookers as well. He felt a little trickle of sweat pass down his forehead out of embarrasment, though it was worth seeing the swords up close. Also, who knew? He may see her again some day. The world does crazy things like that. Perhaps it was divine intervention that led such a beautiful woman with such finery grace his otherwise dull day? Either way, it made his day. "Sorry about that. Take care." He ended, briskly sitting down at his stool and reaching for his bag of peanuts, nervously snacking away to try and keep eyes off of him. 'Hmph! Why didn't I get her name!? Just my luck...' Casey thought, landing his face into his palm. '...Just my luck.'

Silvine had finally reached the city of Vilefront. After Etruria tightened its security after catching Crow, Silvine had decided it was time to report back to Pherae. He stopped by here to rest, and oddly enough he and Theodor had seen posters of an archer looking for hire. Silvine found this interesting... he did want some companions, and if he could bring more people to fight for Lycia, that would be a good thing.
Walking around to find an inn, he came across that particular archer.... wondeful! All Silvine had to do was talk him into coming along.. the pay would be good of course.
He observed as the man went up to a woman... Silvine felt a bit disturbed when she started screaming... was she being harassed by this mercenary? Silvine just watched as things calmed down.
So this man was interested in seeing weapons, huh? Well, that was an interesting quality for a mercenary. Perhaps this man was not your average mercenary. Silvine wanted to know if this man was a good blacksmith... Lycia needed someone like him. At least Silvine thought so.
After the woman left, Silvine seized this oppurtunity to talk with the archer. "Greetings, Mr.Figaro. I see you've been searching for someone to hire you." he said.

Casey looked to the blue-haired youngin' who had a certain air about him that threw him off from the regular townsfolk. Not only that, but this puny kid had some kind of obsession with the color blue. "So you saw my sign, eh? Look, kid. I'm not interested in joining your gang. You look like you've got a well off family to go back to, why don't you run along?" Figaro turned and sat back down, grabbing another handful of peanuts, cracking one of them open. "I'm not looking to parade around town hassling the townsfolk and acting tough. I'm looking for honest work."Casey thought about if mercenary work being honest. As long as he had a say in who he was working for, he felt it were right. He was the dog who did what the hand wanted, but this man would bite the hand that feeds if necessary.

" Sir Figaro, I'm not a kid that wants to harass the townsfolk. Heck, I'm not here to ask you to find my parents!" he yelled. The other people on the street turned towards the two.. Silvine coloured a bit. Blast, this was not needed. "I'm just looking for an escort to Pherae. I kinda got lost here, and the fact that I don't know much about Etruria is not helping. I need someone skilled, because I don't think it will be easy if I ever run into bandits." he said.z

The green-eyed man crossed his arms and scratched his chin. "Calm down, kid. Pherae, you say? Hmm... That's far." He thought about the work, it might be easy for him as the Lycian League wasn't squabbling too much nowadays. Though, it was near the Bernese border. As long as he wasn't headed there, he was sure he wouldn't have to worry in getting caught up in that[/b] mess. He sat down and placed his small scroll of a sign into his bag of peanuts, which he then looped into his belt. He cleared up shop, leaving the stool, which was not his, behind. "Alright, I'll take you to Pherae, but I've got to know some things first:" He took out his pipe and lit it, the sweet, yet sickly smell of tobacco smoke lifting into the air. "First, I need to know who you are and who you're bringing. I also have to know how much you're willing to pay for a trip to Pherae. I'll bargain the price with you along the way. Also, I'm gonna have to know if you've got a bounty on you, if you have any dreaded enemies, or any annoying friends who might want to tag along." Casey leaned in close and eyed the kid, who beat him by a few inches. "I will not become a damned babysitter."

Silvine paused for a second. He would tell the truth, but not everything. No mercenary needed that information.
"I'm Silvine Knightwood, a squire from Lycia to be exact. I kinda got lost in one of my missions, and I ended up here. yeah I know, its embarassing." he blushed, scratching the back of his head.
" How much to pay? Hmm.... does 750 gold sound good? I'm not sure, really." he said, his voice getting quieter.
" I don't have any bounty, why would a squire like me get a bounty? I don't have dreaded enemies of course, and my only friend I'm bringing along is that old guy over there... I met him in a small town. He kinda...decided to come with me to take a break actually." Silvine replied.
"Oh, and I can handle my own, really. I am a squire you know, I have basic skill with a lance." Silvine added.

Taking another puff of his pipe, Casey eyed the man Silvine pointed to. If the kid could actually hold his own in a fight, as he said, the old man might be the where the real job was. "Ok, Silvine..." Casey paused and thought, it was probably wise if he didn't give away all of his information too. He was just a hired bow. "I'm Figaro from Etruria. 750 sounds good, give or take, but if things go well, I'll offer a discount. Expect the opposite if things go poorly. It's a long way to Pherae. Only time will tell, eh?""Let's get moving, kid. We have to cross those bit of mountains over there and then we're in Lycia and the village of 'Apenanti'. Depending on how fast we get there, we can either continue on or stay for the night." He pointed to the mountains, the noon sun hitting the green trees that covered them. A path could be seen, as it was frequented by travelers. Casey looked at Silvine and squinted in curiosity as he asked, "You say you're a squire? Where's your horse?"

"Ok, Sir Figaro. Then its a deal, and I'm willing to co-operate with those conditions." Silvine replied.
"As for my horse...actually I dont have a horse. I use a wyvern instead. I've left the guy in the stable near the gates... I think we should get hold of that wyvern. Come, we shall move through the skies!" Silvine replied.
He led Figaro and Theodor back to the stable. On their way, Silvine whispered to Theodor," Hey Theo, look at my hiring skills? I actually HIRED someone who's proffesional." It was getting into his head now.
"Silvine, you're being childsh now. Hiring someone is not a big deal. Just get on with your wyvern for now." Theodor replied irritably.
"So, Sir Figaro, ready for take off?" Silvine asked the archer.

"H-Hold on. I'm no Wyvern Rider, but three people on one Wyvern? Don't you think that's too stressing for the beast?" Casey said, nervously, a lump in his throat. He wasn't too sure about flying... What if he fell?
He looked over to the old man, who's name was now known to be Theodor. "Theodor. Name's Figaro." He nodded to the man and then looked to the mount, sitting inside of its stable.
'Sure it'd make for a shorter trip, but hell, if it can do the job, that's fine. It's not like I was on solid ground when I was on the old ship.' the archer thought, placing his bow on his shoulder.

"I've kinda done this before, so don't worry, Sir Figaro. All I really need, is directions." Silvine replied. "Aragog, sorry bud, but it looks like you'll need to take to the skies again. You think you can do it?" he asked the wyvern.
The wyvern nodded and licked Silvine's face.
"Geez.... anyways, hop on ,Theo, Sir Figaro, and we're off." Silvine said.
Within a few minutes..they were gone.
