Varia's attention was caught briefly by a nearby voice. The violet haired woman, Saffra.
"Oh, just a few more guests, Saffra. When it rains, it poors, I guess." She giggled lightly, It was obvious that she was pleased with the company she was getting.
"The handsome one with the brown hair is Wein Lowell, of Ostia." She smirked a bit, her ruby colored lips quirking into a pleased expression.
"And then there's Zelphiam, and... Oh, I don't think I got her name. I have to go, and see to dinner. Aaron, can make introductions." And she was off, deciding between green beans, or peas and corn for the evening.
Aaron however had begun paying more attention. Had she said Wein Lowell? Wein Lowell, his friend? As Varia walked away, Aaron quickly stepped out into the hall, leaving his companions behind, heading towards the guests. The last time he'd seen Wein, he'd been...
It was him. Scruffier. More weathered looking. But, definitely Wein.
"Wein Lowell! You wandering rascal. You just get around everywhere don't you." The green haired sage's appearance may have matured a bit, and he'd just gotten his hair cut, but the smile on his face was still the same.

Saffra just gave a small sigh and a nodded to what Xavier had said, though he might not see from the room she was in, but she did hear him. He was right, but they, well, Aaron and her, were not so different, since they took had a bath. Looking to Varia as she was re-addressed, she gave a small nod of her head, noting everyone name for name, aside from the girl with a sword. Sacaen, probably, sometimes it was hard to tell these days.
Watching Aaron come from, well, wherever he was hiding, he seemed jubilant, it was clear by his manner and tone, he was happy to see this Wein, comrades, old friends, probably. Saffa stood off to the side, arms crossed a bit as she licked the inside of her teeth with her tongue.
"Friend of yours, Aaron?"

"Wein Lowell! You wandering rascal. You just get around everywhere don't you."
Wein turned as he heard his name called. Was that...? "Aaron! Aaron Winsett! Imagine running into you here, of all places." The Ostian extended an outstretched hand to his green haired friend. The man had changed since Wein last saw him, his hair was clearly shorter, but it was clear this was the flagrant mage. "And at the same time as well. What are the odds? Well, I can tell you, they're pretty low."
The archer drifted off for a second, trying to remember something, before snapping back to reality. "The last time I saw you was after you burnt down that forest, right?" asked Wein, more inquisitive than accusatory.
"Friend of yours, Aaron?"
Another voice came from the corner. This one more feminine, and a good deal less friendly sounding. Looking towards the source, he noticed a woman, a woman whom his eyes had missed at first glance, her golden eyes staring at him as she stood with her arms crossed. Something about her seemed...old, and yet she looked quite young and beautiful. Maybe it was the posture. She didn't exactly seem welcoming.

As Zelphiam saw Aaron he gripped the hilt of his sword tight. His green hair reminded him of his father maybe he was a sage of the Rinko clan out to exterminate their biggest disgrace. He let go of his blade when he saw Wein greet him. If Wein was friends with him then Zelphiam knew it would probably be safe but he still wouldn't trust him.
"Who is this green haired man Wein?" Zelphiam asked as he walked up to the archer. He then eyed the woman that asked Aaron is they were his friends. Zelphiam got a strange feeling from her an ominous feeling. He shrugged it off and then turned back to Wein.

Xavier watched as introductions were quickly made among the guests and the mage. The mage apparently knew lots of people across the globe, which might be slightly to Xavier's advantage, now that he was travelling with the mage. As the others were talking, Xavier took quick looksees at the new guests, there was someone who looked like an archer. Actually, there was nothing distinguishing him as such, but from Xavier's intuition, he felt that that man was most likely an archer. There was another man with the guests, along with a young girl. They were most likely swordsman - and woman, judging by the fact that the man held a blade and the woman had a sword sheath and hilt shown.
When at last the winged woman had spoken up and broken the initial introduction process between the mage and the guests, Xavier decided to speak up too, and came up with a hurried introduction, "Hello, I'm Xavier... sorta... umm... travelling with Aaron... yeah, you can say that...", then looking sheepish, as he realised that he had just forced himself on the party and gotten here.

Mana looked at the man who just addressed Wein. "Did he just called him Aaron?" Jackpot, she was going to ask him to prepare the bath, the fact that Wein knew him slipped from her mind, she didn't even notice. The young myrmidon would be patient and wait the two men finish their conversation, the bath could wait, maybe...
A guy and a woman joined, a charming woman who looked more beautiful than the woman who opened the door for Mana and Zelphiam and a guy who looked smart and friendly. "Hmm...I think I should introduce myself?" she thought while putting her left hand in her waist. Zelphiam and the guy had done it, Mana was expecting the beautiful woman to do the same, but she didn't. "My name is Mana, from Sacae. Nice to meet you." She smiled cheerfully, somehow, her mood was very good now. Was it because of the garden and the chance to take a bath?
"You guys live here? It's a great place, I like the garden."

Aaron turned back towards Saffra, the smile on his lips barely being afflicted by her cool tones.
"You could say that, Saffra. I met Wein early in my travels" The green haired mage turned back towards the archer. "And, how quickly we forget. Don't you remember that tumble into Roland's tomb?" Aaron gave the archer a quick, friendly slap on the shoulder.
"Let me introduce my companions. This is..." The mage's grin continued as the blue haired troubador introduced himself, "And, this is... Saffra, a friend." He said, indicating the golden eyed, violet haired woman nearby, She was a dragoness, and Aaron desperately wanted to share with his friend and fellow scholar, but that was Saffra's choice. One he doubted she'd share, given a choice.
At least one of Wein's travelers knew how to smile it seemed. " A pleasure to meet you, Mana of Sacae. But, no. We don't live here. We're merely spending the night here.

Saffra gave a warm smile, as her arms uncrossed. She hadn't really meant to look so...unwelcoming, she was just wary, pretty much. With her wings under that shawl, but they twitched now and then, from getting a bit too fixed in position, it was a poor device to hide them, but it was all she was willing to do. With a bit of a strange cut between a bow and a curtsy, her yellow eyes and oval, almost fully slitted pupils glowed as her red lips enhanced her beaming face.
"Apologies, I just have not met you all before...and all sporting weapons, can you really blame me? Varia is a kind woman, but I'm more cautious."
Clearing her throat, she nodded her head to Aaron, thanking him for introducing her. And if she could read his thoughts, he would be correct, that was not something to admit right here, and now.
"But yes, I am Saffra Therin. I'm just accompanying Aaron to make sure he doesn't get bored, or lost."
Grinning, almost playfully at the sage, Saffra took to looking at Mana, and also the other lad, Zelphiam, grinning a little more now. Mana was an obvious Sacaen, she carried herself with pride, as many did. Perhaps there was some sort of deserved pride, but Saffra could no know, she had her own ego to contend with, afterall.
"He's right." Saffra motioned to Aaron. "This is Varia's manor. a fine building, and a better woman, for allowing us stay here."

Wein was taken aback by the purple haired woman's perceptiveness, as well as feeling a bit awkward as he withdrew his unshaken hand, and his eyes clearly showed it. How had she known what he was thinking? Either she could read minds, which sounded preposterous but would explain the uneasy feeling he got around her, or he wore his thoughts all over his face, which actually wouldn't be a far cry from the truth. His brother always told him he had a horrible poker face. Still...
"Fun times indeed," said Wein, putting on a faux-grin as Aaron spoke of Roland's tomb. They hadn't really been much fun to the Ostian. That was when he had learned of his home's destruction, giant pit in the ground as it now was. Not so fun times, but he wasn't about to rain on everyone's parade.
The archer then turned his head to Zelphiam after Aaron and Saffra finished speaking. "This is Aaron, if you didn't pick that up," said Wein, answering the blond haired swordsman's question. "He and I met back in Lycia. Did a fair bit of adventuring together. I assure you, he's a good guy." The Ostian turned back to Aaron, Xavier, and Saffra.
"Well, it is a pleasure to meet you, Xavier, Saffra," said Wein with a slight bow of his head. "To make our introductions official, I am Wein of house Lowell of Ostia. I'm sure if Aaron finds you good company then we should have no problems." The archer turned back to his green haired friend, his voice switching tones. "Now Aaron, I hear you're the go-to guy for bathwater?"

"Oh is that so Wein? Well if you know him he must be alright," Zelphiam said still a little skeptical of the people in front of him. He didn't trust him but Zelphiam doesn't trust a lot of people. He watched as a purple haired boy introduced himself as Xavier.
"Hello Xavier, Saffra, Aaron my name is Zelphiam Rinko I've been traveling with Wein here," He said introducing himself as he took a step back. He then looked backed to Aaron who looked similar to his father, it made him sick.

Mana glanced at the Slim Sword in her waist. The sword was strapped perfectly to her belt, she placed it on the left so she would be able to draw it with her right hand easily. Maybe Saffra was right, they were armed. It seemed this woman was a careful person, she didn't let her guard down, unlike the others. But, Mana hoped they wouldn't ask her to hand her sword, she never felt safe without a weapon.
"I am travelling to train myself and also because I can't return to Sacae. I met Wein and Zelphi, then for some reasons we started travelling together." She spoke casually, looking at Aaron, Saffra, and Xavier with her black eyes. Saffra, was she grinning?
"Glad, we found this place. We were lost." Mana sighed after she spoke, she remembered the branches that hit her head and the roots that tripped her. She fell once, and she really wanted to clean the dust in her body. When she heard Wein asking Aaron about the bath, her eyes sparkled, she had been waiting for this.
"Are we going to take a bath?"

"Oh, is that what you're doing Saffra?" Aaron smiled, revealing his "pearly whites" in a smirking grin that was quickly becoming his trademark. At least in his mind. He was glad to have her along, anyway. It felt reassuring to have someone as powerful as she, even if she had no more experience in the matters they were dealing with.
"Bath.... water...." The green-haired sage let out an exasperated sigh, and rubbed his eyes with a hand. He didn't really mind, as the process was simple for him, but it did cast shadows on Varia's somewhat dubious hospitality.
"I suppose so. Yes. Generous of Varia to make use of my skills, no?" Aaron chuckled at his comment. It was a little rude to offer to have one of your guests... well, Aaron probably have offered at some point any way. No sense getting disturbed over it. Especially when the sacaen girl seemed so excited.
Aaron sighed one more time. "Wash rooms are that way. Would you like help drawing the water?" There. He was being hospitable. Just like how his hostess intended him to act, apparently.

Saffra again, nodded her head, but kept a blank face, showing little to no emotion, other than a simple smile now and then. Wein was an interesting fellow, if he managed to get stuck with Aaron a good amount of time. Her eyes then turned to Mana, and just grinned. That sort of made sense, really, a lot of sacaens did that of recent, going out into the world, leaving their tribe, and searching for ways to improve their swordsmanship. With a nod, Saffra began to move back, until hearing Aaron.
Frowning at him, she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Saffra smiled back, showing him sharpened little teeth of her canines, but they didn't protrude all that much, so it wasn't very noticeable when she smiled.
"Now now Aaron, you know you'll need me for that. Now, go help them with their bath, before supper's done."

"I think I can draw my own water, thank you very much," said Wein, jokingly waving a hand at Aaron. It was an innocent gesture. "I'm not completely inept." The archer chuckled. "It's just not everyone can ignite the air around them with the snap of their fingers; far easier than starting a fire the traditional way. Otherwise, I wouldn't even consider the imposition."
And it was true. A hot bath was a luxury for him these days. Usually a sparse application of soap and a bucket of lukewarm water over the head and usually did the trick, seeing as how most of the time Wein didn't have the kindling, fuel, means, or spare time to draw and heat an entire bath. Not true back in Ostia, though. When he had said he wanted to bathe, he'd have told a servant, and the servant would run off, and by the time the Ostian would have made his way to the tub, it would be filled and warmed exactly to his particular liking. Ah, those were the days.
"So, how are we going to go about bathing arrangements?" asked Wein, turning to his companions. As...fun as it would be for them to all bathe together, the archer highly doubted such a situation would be to Mana's liking.

Xavier continued smiling sheepishly as the introductions continued between the guests, the mage and the woman. As the introductions ended and the group were starting to venture into conversations about their baths, Xavier felt an itching sensation in his mind, a feeling urging him to just walk off to a quiet location and start reading the book which he had obtained earlier.
It was a weird feeling, one that Xavier could consciously feel, yet not explain. It was just like earlier, when after he was interrupted, that the book made itself illegible for him to read. The book was a mysterious thing, it seemed. Unable to resist the feeling anymore, Xavier silently moved over to the opposite corner of the sitting room, sat on a couch and began reading the book from the front cover again, aware that the contents of the book had already changed somewhat from the last time he flipped past it.
