Mine was an 18 year old one. I don't see why Trainees can't be older honestly. I mean, a lot of Trainees could be called that due to their inexperience. You can be older and inexperienced at fighting.

That's basically the idea. My character really wasn't exposed to any art of killing and wasn't in the arts enough to be a bard or dancer. He just picked up magic, so... yeah.
