Also, I could probably front the money Jya, but I'd only do so if you were serious in playing it, don't have to play it with me or anything, just don't want the money going to waste.

Nah I'm good, trying to see if the guy is willing to trade for a few of my games instead. :3
I'm also looking to see if I can sell some of the WoW serial codes I have since I never got too far in that.

We talking about the same game? I couldn't stand it. Maybe it was the fact that combat stopped changing at level 30, and it's a 70 level game. Or that you need to NES Style grind between story line missions to be allowed to continue the game. Or the idea that they force you to explore instead of being able to do the main quest if you want to. Or maybe it was that they display an amazing inability to balance ranged and melee combat, making ranged weapons pretty much required for everyone.
When the game accepts that you just grind dungeons once you can enter them, until you can go to the next dungeon and repeat, you know something got screwed up in development.

From what I can tell grind dungeons to level cap is how MMOs are play now. On WoW I was beat to 90 a day and a half by another hunter who spamed looking for dungeon while I quested and explored the new content. All Rift and Aion is grindfest as well. So, welcome to the new age of MMO.

Bullshit, excuse my french. Just because some people chose to make it a race, does not mean we should be catering to them. I play games for the world, for the stories, for the GAME. If you race to the end, what is the point? To grind for phat end game loots that become pointless by the next expansion?
The journey is always more fun to me then the destination. I have never found an MMO aside from City of Heroes that had an End Game that I really enjoyed. I finished my story on TOR, and never even bothered to hit cap. Why? Cause I finished the story before I hit cap, and power for the sake of power is boring.
You see people with this new mindset creeping into stuff like tabletop now. Play a game to win, not to play it. When did games become a job?

Look, let me sum up the cause of several problems in ANY multiplayer game: Munchkins. Anyone who takes a story-focused or, really, ANY fun-focused object/game/what-have-you and turns it into a competition tends to make the game less fun. The moment munchkins become the majority (or even the plurality), the makers of the object/game/what-have-you are forced to chose between distracting them (difficult), losing money (enough said), and catering to the munchkins. Of course, some designers just get kicks and giggles out of making everything require level-grinding, but they're fortunately the minority. :-D RAMBLE ON.

UNLESS it's a Koeran style MMO. They eat up the grind fest.
