"Well, in my expert opinion (as all of my opinions are) I believe this was caused by a sudden shift in motion. We're all bored, and you're the only one doing anything, so we flock to you like so many juvenile lepidoptera to a towering inferno lit by the flames of justice." Elias tugged on his invisible beard, giving his best 'hmm...' face. "I was actually searching around for the last ten or so minutes for my demon but I can't find him anywhere, but I'm sure he'll pop up eventually." He shrugged, turning his head to see the blue haired girl stalking him. He could of swore she disappeared randomly, perhaps she was hiding behind him this whole time? If so bravo, truly a crimson maneuver knowing that Elias did not believe in looking behind his self.
"I never really left, but I guess I wasn't here. Anyways, you seem to be having fun. Talking to people and whatnot, center of attention truly, so tell us. What's up? I'm certainly dying to know, if I don't die of boredom first, because to be honest that bandit raid wasn't nearly as spectacular as I planned I only blew up like three people." Such a blemish on his otherwise spotless almost pristine already badly damaged record. Sorry, getting your eyebrows burnt off by your own spell and your back sliced open while the nation around you explodes into flame isn't spotless Elias. Curses common sense, you win this round.
"Though if you don't wanna talk to us, and by us I mean me naturally, I totally understand. You would be amazed, or not, how many people simply want me to shut up. Sometimes they ask with violence." Elias tended to go over the top, in anything he did. If he was confident he was over confident, if he was dramatic he was over dramatic, if he had a brief moment of lucidity where he analyzed his own flaws he'd over analyze them. Lot of people didn't like extremes, ergo lot of people don't like Elias. Oh well. "It's simply just been quite a while since I saw another mage-type and I wasn't quite keen on letting you run off without having a bit of a discussion. But I can understand if you have more important things to do, more important people to talk to."

Morgoth had finally gotten off the subject of him when people started popping up out of nowhere. Someone is nearby, the voice said as the red-haired newcomer began jabbering. Morgoth looked around. I don't see anyone.... Wait, is it that girl? Why don't you go and see?
With a sort of glazed look in his eyes, Morgoth just let events unfold before him. Someone shut that man up! the voice said as Elias began his new spiel. He mentioned the girl behind him. Morgoth was about to get up to talk to the girl when the unexpected happened. Alright, that's it, I can't take this guy anymore. Give me control. No. You promised only life and death situation's! This is life and death, if he doesn't die I will!
Morgoth grimsed, trying to keep from grabbing his head. No, just get over yourself! Oh, coming from a guy who doesn't really exist! Then who are you talking to? Huh?! No answer. Morgoth went to look around. Nothing. No.....Nonononononononono! Quit! What of your plans? Your going to ruin them! He beated at his internal prision. Hello!
Morgoth sat a moment. Mmmmmm, it is good to be free, he thought. He got to his feet. "Yes, your talking fast is very annoying." He turned to Isabel. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Morgoth." He did his best not to grin.

Isabel laughed, and then sat up straight to answer Aaron. "No, no one drew on your face... Although I could do that, if you like." She winked, and then sat back down, leaning on her hands. "Well, the sudden interest is... I've got nowhere else to go, and you remind me of someone else I met. He was a pretty good leader, and not to bad with the magic, either." She then set to stroking Solomon's head, with the cat doing his best not to show he enjoyed the attention. "Which leads me to the fact that, right now, your little group looks like... Yourself, your girlfriend, Elias, myself... I can probably convince Tearus to tag along... Oh yeah, and Calvin, if he wants to show his face again." She looked up at the ceiling, and then back to Aaron. "We need more meat shields."
She then turned to this... Umm... Morgoth? Huh. Weird name. He seemed nice enough, even if Solomon's low purr suddenly stopped and his back arched a little. "Isabel LeFury, Elder Magic prodigy extraordinaire, not actually at your service, but, you know. I'm here." she said, finishing the statement with a shrug. "Do you need something, or are you just hitting on me?" All the while, she didn't bother to get up, of course. She was a little bit tired after the day's events.

Morgoth froze. Wha...... he thought, sitting down with a dazed look on his face. The other guy chuckled in the background. The great Morgoth brought to his knees by a girl, he said, taking over again.
"No, I, uh, didn't mean anything like that," Morgoth said to Isabel, the dazed look disapearing. "It's just, I'm and Elder mage too and I've been looking for another user. I've only come across two during my travels, one was mean and gave me 'training' and the other I only knew for a few days. Basically I was hopping someone could help me with my magic. I've never actually learned how to use it popperly, just sorta learned on the go, fight for my life, ya know."
Morgoth thought quickly. Already found someone, this is great! And I dealt with the situation better than him! Ha, I may have a chance yet! "Oh, Ostia," he said turning to Aaron, as if to change the subject. "I was there when it fell. Erturian's scrapping the place, the dead coming to life, that was my first battle. Very strange."
Meanwhile, inside Morgoth's head.......
Fool, thinking I'm that weak, the voice thought. Go ahead and think you have a chance to be rid of me and live my life. Make your friends, be happy.... and once I get what I want, dispair as I overwhelm and destroy you, crushing your hopes and dreams. He laughed maniacally. Morgoth didn't hear a word.

Isabel froze suddenly, thinking about what this Morgoth was saying. What did he want? A teacher? A sparring partner? Isabel wasn't any of those things! "Well... You see... I'm really an on-hands learner, myself. So the only way I could help you out is by throwing you into life-and-death situations, honestly. It's how I've learned." Quick, Isabel! Pawn this off on somebody else! "I'm sure, say... The great Elias would love to help you out!" she blurted, and then jumped up to tug on Elias's cloak. "Wouldn't you, Crimson Mage?"
She quickly let go of the red-garbed mage, and turned to face Morgoth again. "I'm sorry, but... I can't really help you. Prodigy though I am, I'm still learning, too. Maybe we can exchange tips or something, but... I don't really think I can help you out in actually mastering the craft." You fool! Wasn't Aaron's girlfriend a practitioner as well?! Mention her, you idiot! "But there is another person here who might be able to help... Well, both of us out, if we ask her nicely." Isabel's gaze darted back to Aaron, and then to Morgoth again. "If she shows up, that is."

The sage's head rippled with annoyance. They were zeroing in on him because he was doing something? The people of the town here were doing something! The soldiers in Laus were doing something! Pheraean nobles did things! Why him?
Aaron heard the one named Isabel listing off potential group rosters, referring to Lilith as his "Girlfriend." He didn't flinch at the word, as he might have when he was younger, but neither was he completely certain it was accurate. One thing was for certain though. The blond haired shamaness they spoke about was dear to him.
"Don't call her that. Her name is Lilith.... And she's vanished again." Oddly enough, he could feel himself opening up to the others just by being around them. He'd almost forgotten the feeling, he'd been alone for so long.
"Alright. You can follow if you wish, but I'm not going to Ostia. Not right away at least.... Go find a place to bunker down for the night. We're leaving early."

Elias' eyes narrowed, in a bout of annoyance. He didn't mind being blown off, told off, or even assualted based on what he said, but what he did hate was being flat out ignored. And he was ignored. Utterly and completely. Forget Green, he just went from an interesting conversational partner to guy Elias doesn't even want to acknowledge. ISABEL, on the other hand, recognized his existence and that made him happy.
"Oh sorry, I don't know dark magic. My dad did, quite a lot actually, but I'm not a practitioner myself. The best I could do is general magic using tips that are good for any mage, but it's likely you all know them already. You know, stuff like a strong spirit needs a strong body to dwell. So don't neglect your physical training, don't need to be a warrior, but even mages need to work out. How else do you expect to run away?" Though a lot of mages didn't, so a lot of mages had a hard time keeping up with others in a group. Elias lucked out since he had demon, and will be faster then all of them no matter what. Demon was a particularly fast breed of hellspawn as well, so it only made things more fortunate for him.
"Now if either of you need anima help, I'm your man. I suppose green could also be your man if you prefer that side of the color spectrum. He waved it off, rather nonchalantly, working his way into a shrug. "Now I'm sure everyone tired and hungry, so I'll go cook us something to eat then we can collapse in blissful unconsciousness." He grinned. They were probably about to go to bed without eating a thing, because everyone seemed to because everyone was always in a hurry and not realizing they were starving to death until someone mentions the fact people were designed to eat food at regular intervals. He's entirely sure that the inn's host would make them something, especially since they were heroes, but he wanted to do it. It wasn't just because he wanted to show off, because he always wanted to show off, but it was because he wanted to feel useful. Which was an odd and annoying feeling that he wished to whisk away as soon as possible. He liked cooking anyways, crimson gourmet, that's what they called him. Or what he called himself, same thing. "Be back in a little bit."

Tearus was sitting around quietly arguing with himself. He decided to put in, "And I'm Tearus!" At a completely random juncture of a mass of conversation. Apparently they were all talking about magic, which Tearus couldn't really contribute to, so he politely kept his mouth shut. He began looking for that cat from before. How odd, no sign of it. He heard them speaking about magic lessons or something of the like and he said, "Well, I can't be of much help in that area." He grinned cheesily. He was just jumping in and out of the conversation.
At this rate, these mages would never want him along, which would mean he was alone. Well that was no good! He didn't like being alone. Ahem? Oh, sorry. Or sort of alone. So he did two somersaults in rapid succession, and brought his blade out in between them, but sliding it back in at the very end of the second. And then he tripped on his cloak. Tadaa... "Tadaa..."

For the moment it seemed no one was paying him any mind, so Morgoth leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes.
You know, sometimes I wonder why you created me.
It's none of your concern. Just go away.
I know why you want to do what you want to do, but I don't know why you need me. Come on tell me.
The voice sighed. You won't leave me be until I tell, will you?
That's right, I know your weaknesses. Like how you can't stand anoying things. So tell me.
I was in dispair, ok. My plans had been ruined, and I was alone. I'm always alone. And then somehow you were born from my grief I guess.
Awww, the great Morgoth was lonely and sad, the other guy said, chuckling.
There's nothing great about me, and you know it.
-Ah, I've caught him in a good mood-, the other guy thought. And then he cringed, afraid that Morgoth had heard.
What was that, why did you cringe?
Oh, nothing, the other guy said. -Aparently the line between us has become solid again.- So here's what I don't get. Why go through all this trouble to just get killed? Why not just ram yourself onto a spear or something. Not that I'm to fond of that idea.
Because.... of you, Morgoth said softly. We are the same yet different. I am our hate, our sadness, suffering. I have power and knowledge. You, you are happiness, joy, friendliness. You have skill and speed. You wish to live. I wish to die. Yet we are one, and yet we are seprate. I am Morgoth. You are...
Irmo, the other guy said. But if we are so defined, then why can I feel pain and sadness too?
I... we are both a person, and therefore have our own being. I am weighed down by the past.
Do you think we'll both be here forever?
I don't think so.
Oh, Irmo said. Night. There wasn't an answer. -Thats Morgoth for ya-, he thought.- So we're the same person. He's the origional, sad and full of hatred. I'm his hapiness, his hope. Maybe I can help then....-

Isabel folded her arms in front of her, and then leaned down to pick up her cloak as she realized that this Morgoth character was just going to ignore her very generous offer of volunteering other people to help him out. Tearus was doing something weird, involving him tripping after doing two roll-type things and some fancy knife work. It just paled in comparison to seeing the sickly green assassin jumping around on the roof like some kind of crazed, green rabbit. That was bipedal. Oh hey didn't Aaron say something? "I'll try to remember that. No promises, though." she replied, trying to commit 'Lilith' to memory. She watched Elias as he walked off, and then down at Solomon, and then at Morgoth, and then at Tearus, and, finally, at Aaron.
"I think I'll head off and make sure he doesn't make our food explode. I'm sure we all know how easy it is to cause chicken to combust, right?" Unfortunately, she didn't stick around for an answer, as she had already bolted off to hang out with Elias. Where the energy to jog had come from was a mystery, but one may assume that it was the excitement of finding another traveling group, or perhaps the prospect of a meal that wasn't on fire on the outside and frozen on the inside. Which was also odd, because that jerky had been sitting out in the sun all day... Oh well, at least Calvin had enjoyed it.

Aaron felt a headache starting to wind up behind his eyes. How had this happened? He'd gone to sleep earlier, only to be woke up a few hours later. Promptly after that, he found himself being followed by two... three... four? Enough mage types to leave him bewildered. How had this happened?
One of them wanted to fix dinner now. One of them- forget what they all wanted! They could worry about themselves till morning, and he needn't spare another thought.... He did spare some thought though. If he'd found them a year before, or even a couple of months, he was sure he would have been far more open with them. What had changed since then? The answers were evident without being relevant. The tasks he'd accomplished recently were stressful, but hardly an excuse for souring him, or altering his mindset. Maybe he was just letting himself get spoiled. He'd effectively broken someone out of prison. Maybe that was getting to him. He still believed it had been the right thing though, however regrettable it felt afterwords. The judiciary system there would not understand or want to understand what had happened. Maybe if he grew a long beard and wore full robes. Maybe if he spoke in a jumble of magicy-sounding noise they would have listened. The green-haired sage kind of doubted it though.
"I guess I've got people following me now...." He said it quietly. It felt like a completely new realization. He didn't know what to think about it really. Just that it was about the last thing he'd expected when he'd come here.Alright, Aaron. At least try to straighten yourself out and act polite.
Pushing himself to his feet, Aaron stiffly moved over to one of the tables nearby. The inn was actually still quite full. People displaced by the bandit attack were being put up here tonight, and others just wanted to cluster together for the company after such a thing. With that being the present situation, Aaron moved to a round table with a few seats scattered around it, calling after the red sage Elias once he got there.
"Don't take too long, Elias! I want to leave at first light, and there aren't many hours till then!"

A young boy lay on a dusty floor, a broken board underneath his frail body. He lifted himself up with his arms, tear's dripping down his face from the pain of his fall. A hole in the wall marked where the board had been. The boy looked at his hand, covered in scrapes. There was a tear in his shirt. Mother wouldn't be happy.
The boy got up, the tear's begining to fry on his face. He looked around the dark room, seeing bookshelves full of various items, strange items. No one had lived here for years, and only two families lived in this lonely village. There was a book on a table before him. It seemed to call to him, as if many whispering voices all called out at once for release. He grabbed the book, and the room was silent. The boy looked around franticly, and then rushed from the house. He ran to his parents....
Morgoth eye's flicked open. It took him a moment to realize that he was in control. He searched for Irmo, but could not find him. Where has he gone? I always know what he is up too, he thought. He continued to look at the ceiling. Why now? Why must I begin to have a concience now? Why is the past coming back? I thought I had already resolved these issues. And now Irmo is here, proving my internal conflict, proving it is not settled. Why can't I just end this, why can I not just die. Why am I still here. Why won't I just fade away, let Irmo live a life.
Because of your duty, he reminded himself. Yes, because of duty, Morgoth sighed. A duty I have begun to doubt. I am like a confused rabbit, surounded by an all consuming forest fire, unsure of my path.
Morgoth turned his gaze to the room, looking for his companions, hoping he had not been left. He caught sight of Aaron, after having stood up, and went over to him. He pulled up a chair, and with a sigh, he placed his head down on his arms, against the table. He stared into space, not caring about his self image. He was too deep in thought to care.

"Well, hopefully Red won't explode the chicken, like Isabel suggested." Aaron said, looking over to Morgoth. The young man felt down, from what Aaron could see, and for some reason, he tried to help by lightening the mood. He always tried to help.... It was like a part of him. There was more to him now than looking to assist others, and he recognized that this new part of him, a part which enforced his own view, had been fighting for space in his mindset. Ultimately though, he was the one who would make the choice what stayed, and what left. He would make up his own decisions, and he didn't want to lose his willingness to be there when people needed him.... He still wasn't sure what exactly he could do.
"Somehow, I expect Elias actually knows how to cook though.... Just a guess."
