The morning sun slowly started to rise over Castle Calderon. The many men and women who worked within the castle began to rise from their beds and begin the day. This was no different for the numerous soldiers and trainees who guarded the small fortress. Whether they were stationed in case of attack, or if they were just there for the Cavalier training, they came from the barracks in waves, sporting their armor and talking among themselves and prepping for another uneventful morning. One particular person in the latter group seemed to be struggling with the start of her day. Morning people were unnatural. Those who could get up instantly after several hours of sleep could not be truly human! Normal people had trouble getting out of comforts of their beds, but forced themselves through sheer willpower. This female, though, had not the willpower to do so... So, she slept on while the ruckus of the start of the day ravished the castle.
It wasn't until one of the other people in her make-shift unit came to wake her up did she pry herself from the bed in her small room. She hadn't caught all of what the boy had shouted through the door, but judging by the sun's position in the sky, she assumed that she had missed basic training for the day. She didn't mind, really. She already knew most of the basics, but training regimens were training regimens. What she dreaded the most was the punishment she would no doubt receive from her 'commander'. Probably guard duty. As it so happened, she was met with just that. Why she needed to do any guard anything was beyond her, Caelin certainly wasn't a super power in Lycia, but they had more than enough to drive off any bandits. She could have just made up the training, and done something productive. But nooo, she just had to sit around outside the castle keeping an eye out for any 'threats'. Throughout however long she was sitting around for, the only real threat she came upon was a bee, which was swiftly taken care of! No stinger wielding insects would harm her people while she was on point! She was far too good for that

Right outside the fields of the castle, beyond the mountains was a small boy of a very young age. "Great day, today! The mountains are so beautiful!" The boy skipped along the meadow, taking in the full beauty of Caelin's magnificent scenery. "There's no better place to be! Well, except for Pherae. Pherae was much more greener than this." Alex gave a patriotic smile and snicker.
Caelin was a rather small territory of Lycia, only consisting of one town, one castle. It was so small, in fact, that it had to political power at all. The city was exciting enough, though. It wasn't uninteresting in the slightest. Who knew people from different territories could have such varied cultures!
"Well, at least there's a castle. I must at least get a peek at it!" Alex wondered around a bit in the fields. It was approximately ten minutes, and the boy found himself in a familiar area... "Wait, that's the same oddly shaped bush..." Yup, looks like someone's lost.

Reina had almost dozed off ontop her horse by the time someone came around. It was a boy, who seemed rather young. But he seemed to know where he was going, so she watched him wander off. Not long after that, the lad returned. He seemed distraught. Maybe he had wandered off from his mother? Upon closer inspection, he seemed to be wearing some thin armor. He also seemed to be armed with a bow and a quiver full of arrows. Maybe he was some kid who had gotten lost hunting for the first time? Wasn't much game around the castle, but that didn't cross her mind. She pulled on the reins, directing her horse into a casual walk towards the youth. "Hey, kid. Are you lost or something?" The knight-to-be asked, letting out a light yawn as she got closer.

"Such a small place, and yet I can't even figure my way around this place. Shows how much a map would help." Regretting not getting one back at town, the young boy scoured around aimlessly for a while. At that moment, a knight came up to him, asking if he was lost. Embarrassed, Alex nodded. "Y-Yeah, I am."
Figuring this girl was a knight, Alex took the liberty to seek her aid. "Can you um, show me the way back to town? Ms. Knight?" Obviously, Alex wasn't good at talking with knights, much more woman knights. It just wasn't in his social ability to do so.

Reina couldn't help but raise a brow at the kid. 'Miss Knight'. Was that even a term? Had this kid never come upon a knight before? She wasn't exactly a knight yet, but still. The confused youth seemed to be bumbling over his words as well. The nearest town was a while a way, and Reina didn't exactly feel like leading him all the way there. She couldn't very well leave him there to rot. She decided to show him, after a little bit of fun of course. "Oi. How do I know you're not somee sort of Etrurian spy, eh?" She asked, unclipping her slim lance from it's holster. She attempted to lightly poke Alex in the chest with it. Not hard enough to leave more than a little scratch, just enough to scare him a little. "You tryna get some info on Caelin, little spy?" She asked, keeping up her feigned hostility.

"H-Hey! Wait a minute!" Alex back off from the Lance. If Reina wanted to fight, she'd had to get something a little more menacing. "I'm a traveler, an archer from Pherae! You got me all wrong here." Alex started to sweat a little bit. Why would Eturia hire someone like him? The poor boy had little to no experience as it is. "Well... If you're not going to help, then why do you even bother coming up to me and talking to me? It seems kinda pointless. And don't you have "duties" to do as a Knight? Caelin must have some terrible training exercises." Alex shrugged. He kept on walking by himself, assuming that Reina wouldn't do much of any good use to him.
