Unknown to most of Elibe there lies a giant shrine which, when infused with a large amount of magic, will open a magical portal to another world. Nobody could tell you when it had appeared or how it had even got there. One of the oldest and wisest of dragons witnessed the portal open in his youth, and his grandson spent many years studying the shrine prior to the start of the war after hearing stories of how a mysterious portal appeared. Marlin and his four partners were mocked for wasting so much time on some silly ruin; even when they learned it reacted to magic, they were never able to conjure enough to open the door. Their research was halted by the Scouring. Near the end of the war, Marlin had a strange dream in which he was floating in a sea of black, surrounded by nothing, until he heard a voice. It seemed both near and far, calling out his name and offering to make a bargain with him. It wanted his draconic strength, but in return would grant him any desire. Marlin asked for two things: first, endless knowledge of the gate he studied, along with a way to open it and drag the other world into this one, and second, a human body with eternal youth. The voice responded, stating his draconic body wasn't a fair trade for such demands - to which he then offered to trade the draconic bodies of his friends; Quinton, Darius, Ela, and Nenita, for forms similar to his. In addition, he agreed to hold a sacrifice in its honor once he combined the two worlds. After a brief moment of silence, the voice agreed to the terms, and in the blink of an eye Marlin and his underlings were in front of the gate with their new human bodies. His friends immediately began to panic, beings who had been dragons a moment ago now nothing more than the creatures what had hunted them for no apparent reason. Before Marlin could explain the deal to them, the portal began to open. He ushered them to a hiding spot shortly before elder dragons began to lead their kind through the portal to a new land. Once the coast was clear, he led his friends out of hiding and explained that once every thousand years this world and the one it is connected to are perfectly aligned with each other and their moons, causing a rift in time and space - the portal they had been pursuing - to appear for twelve hours, as well as explaining the devil's bargain he had struck that had left them with human bodies. Ela was the only one to approve of their new bodies; according to Nenita, it was only because she had a crush on Marlin. Nevertheless, They all understood both their mission and the limited timeframe they had to work with. The group began by building a shrine next to the gateway, then departed to the main lands. They broke apart into three groups: Quinton and Ela went to Etruria, Darius and Nenita went to Sacae, and Marlin traveled alone to Illia. Once each group reached what believed to be adequately hidden locations, they constructed shrines similar to the first. They lived through the next millennium unscathed, successfully blending into humanity. As the reopening of the gate drew near, Marlin used the tumultuous state of events in Elibe to form a cult, preaching the threat of the coming 'Reckoning Day,' supposedly caused by the constant wars and magical abuse Kraft was held responsible for. Everything went according to plan; Marlin's cult grew by the day, and its members even began to refer to him as a prophet. A month before the gate was scheduled to reopen, Marlin ensured that his companions of yore remembered what to chant near their shrines. Quinton traveled to Illia, Darius went to Sacae, Nenita journeyed to the Dread Ilse, and Ela to Etruria while Marlin himself remained with the rest of the cult in Lycia. The sky held an eerie hue the day the portal opened, their clue that the time had come. They spent hours chanting their spell as Marlin began his doomsday speech to the cult. His followers had already spread themselves across Elibe, preaching the dire events to come as foretold by the prophet Marlin. Local guards had already begun to arrest the trouble makers when unusually-colored lighting bolts lit up the clear skies, each bolt hitting the ground in a plume a pitch black fog. Some areas noticed small earthquakes at the start of the phenomenon, as well. The storm of lighting raged for hours, covering the entire land in the murky black fog, the earthquakes became more violent by the hour. Those who were stuck outside in the fog felt as if they were being pushed from all directions while the strange fog surrounded them. The fog and earthquakes lasted for three day. On the third, it was reported that part of a building had collapsed upon Kraft, killing him, but other than structural damage caused by the first series of earthquakes, nothing was harmed. Marlin and his cult took the streets again, this time claiming that he had used unknown magic to protect the people with the fog. While exploring the land looking for damage, they noticed things now looked different across the border; there were new people in those lands, and some looked completely different than normal folks. There was mass confusion as to what actually happened from both sides, prompting the leaders of Elibe to meet with their counterparts from the other world for a council - with Marlin as the guest of honor, the only man seemed to know what was going on. He explained that he had had a vision of the destruction of both lands by the dragons from the Scouring, and that his 'church' had used magic given to them by their god to protect the people of both lands from the wrath of the dragons and severed the world's ties. Six months have passed since the two worlds became one, and stories of what happened have spread like wildfire across the world, fanning the growth of the newly founded Church of Marlin with converts coming en masse from both worlds. The people of Elibe have heard stories of what had happened on Belorath; some simply laughed, while others thought themselves superior to their counterparts for defeating the dragons while the other world's inhabitants merely hid from them. Illia has been forced to cede control of Bern back to its people as a result of its new location. There have been growing rumors that people of the Church of Marlin have disappeared, and bandit attacks have become more common in areas that refuse to support the church. Some have even gone so far as to say that the bandits now work for the church... - Groups started to form prostesting the treatment of the people from Belorath by thouse of Elibe.
- Due to a rip in time and space itself some people body and mind had reverted to a younger stage, elderly people on their death bed were children once again
- It is unsure if it was still the world Elibe was located or if it's a whole new one in general.
- After six long months the many groups of explorers had finally finished a new world map.

Notable changes: - Strayhaven had been relocated where Ostia once stood. People of Elibe rejoiced and named it New Ostia while some of the people from Belorath were bitter at their attempt to rename their land. Conflicts takes place between those of Elibe trying to enter and it's inhabitants.
- Illia is more northern, the land is now much colder than before.
- A lot of the smaller islands and Western Islands were lost to the sea.
- Nabata is now an island.
- White=Water
- Due to some climate changes ignore the colored parts from Belorath map
- View the Belorath map in it's unedited glory.
List of the Belorath races and Gods.Description of the Belorath lands. Calirce: The northernmost country in Belorath. A great island once sunk into the sea north of it, leaving its coastline craggy and broken. Strayhaven: A small providence in Calirce. Most of its inhabitants are Beastmen. The are currently trying to break away from the country of Calirce Gunert: This small kingdom is predominated by a desert. The surrounding lands are mostly plains. Its hardy, adaptive people have made it the center of trade in Belorath. Yunita Wood: This sprawling forest, home of the fey Evlorei, has existed for centuries. An Academy of Magic sits on a convergence of ley lines under its boughs. Lilit Isle: A small island off the coast of the Yunita Wood, inhabited mostly by Lilithu. Their magic weavers have devised and deployed a spell that cloaks the isle form the sun, suspending it in a never- ending twilight. Lupercallia: The largest kingdom in Belorath. Its stalwart citizens have rallied together to defend their country once more.

This is not required but it is preferred, for your opening post include what the character was doing before, during, and after the world merger. It doesn't have to be a long one if you chose to do so.
