Hal looked at Treysin in confusion, they didn't need a campfire, it was daylight and it's dark in the cave. "Starting a fire will there's smoke, that might draw in unwanted attention. Plus it wouldn't aid us in seeing inside the cave."

Treysin will give an embaressed look. "You do have a point there Hal." He stated, "Just forget I brought it up. If it really is empty, then we should be out quick enough." He looked at the cave again, this time with a little more bravery. If there happens to be more then just historcal knowage, maybe we can strike some gold, quite litterally. He thought to himself with a grin, but put the idea to the back of his mind. The last thing he needed to be was greedy.

Abel was confused. To him it seemed that the original question had never actually ever been answered. "Maybe we'll find some sort of oil," he said before heading inside the cave. Hopefully some that isn't part of a trap.
It only took seconds for Abel to realize he should have let Treysin go first. His eyes were having trouble adjusting quickly from the sun that had been shining brightly outside. "Maybe you should go first, Treysin," Abel called back. He peered into the cave. It seemed there was a narrow sort of path going deeper in, but he could only see the first several feet before the sunlight completely disappeared.

Hal didn't wait for Trey to enter, using his lance as a walking stick he went past Abel. It didn't take incredibly long for Hal's eyes to adjust to the dark but he kept using the lance as a walking stick. It wasn't long before he came to a fork in the path, he was unsure if what to do, possibly wait for the others to decide.

Treysin sat there looking dumbfound as Hal had just gone past him. He shook his head and proceeded inwards as well. Soon he had ignited a small flame in his hand, the ball remained at a small amount, save the risk of burning himself or the other two around him. While the means were not great for defense, that's why he had the other two right?
Soon he caught up to Hal, who seemed torn at the fork in the road. Looking down the two paths Treysin got confused as well. If this was really some old kings tomb, there was no doubt that there where traps laying in wait. "Which way should we go Hal?" Treyisn asked as his voice echoed down the corridor, "Either way could lead to trouble." Soon he began to think, should a trap not have been set off from a bandit earlier, then maybe if I shoot some fire down the halls we can determine which one is safer. He pondered, yet he was unsure about the thought. But it was better then leaving it to chance.

Abel watched as Hal made his way by. He hadn't bothered waiting for Treysin, which caused him to frown. But as Abel let Treysin by he realized the flame was better off in the middle, allowing all three to see to an extent. After looking back one more time he followed them in.
I wonder what we'll find, Abel found himself thinking again. He'd never done this before and was unsure of himself. In stories and tales they always had traps, things to harm or dissuade looters. And then they came to a fork in the path. Perhaps this was their first test. As he listened to Treysin talk he tried to come up with a way to decide.
"Why don't we flip a coin?" Abel said. He took one out and held it out for Hal to take. "Heads left, tails right." He moved forward a little so he could see better and then flipped the coin into the air. It landed in his palm. "Heads. Looks like we go left." He slipped the coin back into his belt. "I'll be rear guard. We should keep Treysin in the middle so we can see." Abel moved back into position, stopping to scan the darkness behind them for a moment. Looks good to me, he thought, turning back toward the others.

Abel had flipped a coin to decide which path to take, the coin dictated the trio would travel down the left path. Hal kept the end of his lance to the ground, while the fire made it easier to see he didn't want to risk finding a drop the hard way. Going into a dimly light tunnel reminded him of his much younger days from when he lived back home. Going into the tunnels to mine valuable resources to help feed his family, being in a cave was like a second home to him in those days. "So, if we find anything what do you two plan on doing with your share?"

"I'm not sure," Abel said, lifting his eyes from the floor for a moment. He was trying to check his footing while he kept watch. What would I do with it? he thought. He had just gotten a new sword and his clothes were fairly new, there wasn't really much he needed. "I guess I'd find some one to give it to or save up depending on what we find."
Abel turned to look back, thinking he heard something, but nothing was there. After what seemed several moments he turned back, deciding it was just the sound of him and his companions making their way across the rock floor. "What about you Hal?" He wondered what he would say. Abel hadn't been with the wyvern rider long but he seemed to have similar goals to himself, and even seemed to stick them a lot more often than he had. There was another sound and His hand went to his sword, but after peering into the dark he looked forward, shrugging. Must be the wind.

Nothing except for a GHOST.
If she hadn't been completely focused on being the stealthiest stalker to ever stalk stealthily, Elesia would have been busy congratulating herself for having the best idea ever - none of them would ever expect a REAL LIVE GHOST to pop out of nowhere. The irony of a ghost being alive was completely lost on her, ensuring that her half-baked scheme continued untainted by rationality and common sense alike.
It was surprisingly easy, which was sort of disappointing and made her want to liven up the deadly chase with fire or something, but Elesia supposed it was to be expected. She WAS pretty awesome, and barefoot without any clankey armor or weapons was really good at not making sounds, and she could sort of mostly navigate from the dim light of whatshisface's fire. Which was dumb and sucky and puny and not at all like real fire, awesome fire, HER fire, but obviously he wasn't her so he couldn't be here. Otherwise he would be her, and then she wouldn't be her, and Elesia wasn't sure who she'd be if she wasn't her. So she could forgive magic guy - Trayvon or something, right? - for not being perfect.
But MAN it was boring. She kicked a pebble out of frustration before remembering that she was supposed to be in hush mode, immediately flattening herself against the wall of an alcove. They were dumb and couldn't hear and probably hadn't heard her anyways.

Hal started down the path then he could swear he heard something behind them... or was it in front of them... or on top? The echo made it difficult to tell where the sound originated. In the past week he's dealt with too many spooky skeletons to risk being eaten by a grue, stopping to a halt Hal turned around "I'm... I'm going back out. I... I don't do well in caves..." Hal lied out of his butt there, luckily they didn't know him too well or else they would call wyvern crud on what he just said. Shoving past the two he went in the direction they came hoping to get to the entrance, and safety, soon.

"Helloooo? Anybody home?" She knocked on a cavern wall, you need to be polite Lisa you know that, as she gazed deeply inside of the abyss. Spoiler alert, it did not stare back, so at least she still had her sanity. Also that was weird, she could have sworn she saw smoke coming from over here. There was, like, battle things everywhere and a ton of dead bandito burritos, and to be honest every second was feeling more and more like this was probably a bad idea and Lisa why are you so stupid sometimes there's obviously some folk who just killed a ton of Bandits lurking around and they probably could eat you for breakfast and-
Oh hey, there was a wyvern here. Neat, how'd she miss that? "Oh hey there." She waved at the lizard, who didn't pay her the time of day. Or the time of night, or even the time of mid-noon brunch. Rude. Instead it was doing... something. She was sure of it. What it was? That was a little harder to tell as she squinted her eyes and stared at the thing. Whatever it was, it wasn't very lively.
She looked over to her Pegasus, Medusa, who was infinity times better than a wyvern. It was just eating some grass, or something, whatever. That wasn't important, instead what was important was trying to find that consarnit thing inside these bags. Lisa had dove headfirst into a bag that was tied to the grazing horsefly, rummaging through the countless things that weren't that useful right now. This cave was a bit on the tiny side, so Meddy's just gonna have to wait out here. Instead she pulled a small lantern out of the sack, as well as some flint. Always be prepared for every possibility, rule number one of them.
After a few minutes more then it probably should have taken (flint is hard to use, okay?) she had a lit lantern. She held it up into the air as she ventured into the mouth of the cave, keeping her hand on the side of the wall as she fearlessly waded in. Was it a bad idea? Yes, definately, not like that was about to stop her though. She loved bad ideas, they were usually much more fun than good ones.
She saw a small light in the dark distance, which was probably the people who killed the bandits. Alright, go time. Either they were gonna rip her into shreds and eat her tender flesh like the tribe of barbarian cave bears they were, or perhaps they will welcome her with open arms to be their queen. Or, you know, they were just travelers, but that was kinda boring.

So, the prey had taken the bait.
Completely blotting out the minor fact that she had not planned anything of the sort, Elesia subconsciously twisted the events of the last few seconds to convince herself that she had deftly made a sound in order to lure her victims into her lair, part of a devious master plan to... something or other. She'd figure that part out when she got there. Which she would, obviously, because her plans were perfect, because if they weren't then they would work, which they did. So, perfect.
She amazed even herself! Smiling evilly to herself, Elesia considered the intricate chain of events - Hal was approach her unawares, trying to escape from the terror that would swallow him whole. That he might be advancing with his lance out didn't even occur to her; he had never pointed a weapon at her before, so she simply assumed he never would regardless of circumstance. Anyways, bear, prey, spring the trap.
"OOGA BOOGA!"
Shrieking incoherently like a banshee out of hell, Elesia leapt headfirst from her hiding spot the instant she saw Hal's silouette in the flickering shadows, relying on his distance from Treysin's light source to hide her for just long enough to latch on like an enraged mama bear, or possibly some sort of tentacular beast from the maw of hell. The distinction was small in her mind as she wrapped herself around Hal with great fury, a flying hug-tackle-glomp that sent them both spinning around in the shadowed tunnel and probably looked like a wild animal attack to any third parties she didn't notice or care about.

"WHAAAA" Hal shrieked when something popped out of the shadows, it flew towards him and he could feel it latch onto him tightly through his armor. It came flying with force, it knocked Hal flat on his back, oh god he was going to be eatten by a grue, zombie, vampire, something. His lance went flying as he was tackled by this beast, he tried to see if it was in reach by patting the ground around him. It didn't help that it had his arms bound to him in it's bear hug, then it struck him clear as day. He recognized this scent, it wasn't the most pleasant one but it was comforting. He realized he was smelling Elesia's hair, that sly little she-devil must have followed the boys here after all. He wrapped his arms around her the best he could to hug her back but dang, the girl had a tight grip on him. "Elesia... I'm glad to see you too, but could you loosen your grip? I can't move!"

Elesia considered laughing evilly, but realized just before starting that she had no idea how to do so. Also, she needed a distinctive evil laugh, none of this generic MWAHAHA garbage. REAL evil masterminds were so smart they could even come up with new ways to laugh, and since she was a real evil mastermind, that meant she was smurt enough to do that too. It was only logical.
She wondered sometimes how dull and underwhelming existence must be for people who weren't her, but couldn't imagine being that boring. That was for other people. Excellence was for her. Still grinning like the Cheshire cat, Elesia hopped off of her prey, landing with both arms outstretched and her dress billowing around her in order to help keep her balance. The arms part anyways, the dress part was actually a para-shoot, a word she'd heard about once and promptly forgotten until that moment.
"A ~mean~ ghost wouldn't have let you go, you know!" She was deadly serious, wagging a finger at her friend. "You're lucky I'm the nicest ghost ever or I would have... have..." Wait, what did ghosts actually do? She was a little fuzzy on her mythological creatures. "I would have done bad... ghost-ey... things to you." Nodding to herself, satisfied that she had obviously hidden her ignorance perfectly, Elesia continued. "So... whatcha doin'?"

Hal was actually surprised Abel or Treysin didn't come running when he let out the yelp, maybe it wasn't as loud as he thought? He watched Elesia climb off him and spring away in amazement, how did that girl have so much energy? Now that he thought about it, she has always been this energetic too which made him feel like he acted much older than he is. Sitting up he searched for his lance, mere inches away from the furthest he could reach. Just his luck, he's knocked down and couldn't reach his lance which was right there, if his luck had been any worse it would have been a bear on top of Hal instead of Elesia. A mean ghost? Since meeting her all he ran into was mean ghost and ghouls, was it possible for any of them to be "good" or "nice"? "Um... Well... You know that treasure that belonged to those long, hopefully still, dead kings you wanted to look for? Turns out some bad people had lied about it. They almost hurt me and Sol but the others showed up and saved me, after that they wanted to see if they were stashing their loot in here. I was going to bring you something nice back... but... I... decided to leave..." Hal finished speaking in a hasten mumble. He didn't want to tell her he got scared, a real coward there... Too scared to admit he was scared. "So... whatcha doin'?" Hal said mockingly
