Hair Color: Deep Blue
Eye Color: Hazel
Age: 23
Appearance: Tiv stands at a good 5 foot 9 inches, and overall has a regular build for someone his age. He bears a scar that runs across his nose, yet he pays it no mind. He also is know to keep one eye covered by his hair.
Clothes: Tiv wears a "V" cut long-sleeve shirt, also he wears a leather bracer on his left arm that he uses for parrying blades. Tiv wears cotton pants that seem to big for him, however, they do not seem to weigh him down at all, but the seem to cut off at his boots which come up to his mid-calf.
Born in: Arphen, Illia
Story: Tiv's past wasn't exactly tragic, he came from a middle income family as a son to a merchant family. He was the youngest of three, and had both a elder brother and sister. After about seven years he had to help his family in the shop, not dangerous stuff like moving blades or anything like that, but rather cleaning the shop after hours and restocking low shelved items like vulinaries.
His father had recently retired from a mercenary life himself when he met his wife. He still collected sword and occasionally went out to practice, but he soon became caught up in work when his first child was born. More interested in keeping a roof over their head, Tiv's father found less time to practice swinging a blade and more time at home and the shop. However he still used the swords he's collected, If he didn't sell them for money anyways, as a means of defending his shop should the need arise.
As he grew older he became more interested in his father's line of work, which was working with blades. One night, a couple of years later, around the age of 13, he was left with closing shop, while he did what he was told and closed shop, he went off with a sword in hand. The next morning, before the shop opened, he sneaked back in and put the blade back where it was. And he continued this cycle for several nights... until he was caught by his eldest sister, however. At first Tiv thought it was by chance, but truth was she had been watching him, and informing his father.
When he returned home, it seemed he was welcomed in open arms rather then being scolded for his thievery. Sure there was a few harsh words here and there but he wasn't in actual trouble. After that night, he asked his father if he could teach him proper swordplay. From there he was taught by his father after work at the shop. That cycle went on for a couple of years as well.
One day though, he challenged his father to a dual, of course it was friendly, and his father accepted, though distraught. The two went at it, at first it seemed that the favor was in Tiv's position, but as the battle went on he became worn down and let his guard down, and as his father took the chance Tiv reeled back, but not far enough to escape unscathed. The battle was finished and the end result was a loss for Tiv and his scar across his face. Tiv seemed distant from that point on, he had seemed to have given up on learning the way of the sword, or at least had stopped of the time.
Time passed and his brother and sister had left him leaving him alone with his father and mother. The shop had started to go under by this time and his family soon was barely able to make ends meet. His father had fallen ill nights passed, and that meant trouble, especially in Illia. The night of his father's passing was the same night Tiv ran off, he left a note on the table at his home stating he was going off to find a better place to make profit, and took with him just his sword and food.
From there he traveled to Pherae, and on the way he took odd jobs involving him taking up the sword once again.
