Torman felt his axe swish through the air. He watched James sidestep out of the way and lecture him on tactics.
Tactics Torman thought as he had an idea. He straightened, all the while looking at James.
"True, so you will be pleased to know I placed a mine there before we started," Torman bluffed. He hoped the distraction would work as he charged at James again. He swung his axe to the right, but it was a feint. Torman quickly switched his axe around so he was swing to the left now.
Here's tactics for you Torman thought.

James quickly side stepped again trying to keep his wits on the enviroment around him however doing this he lost his focus then he saw the Torman suddenly near him and sidesteped again as he did so he spun around the axe so it just caught his arm.
" argh I guess when you spar you do it to win but thats fine two can play at that game " It was then that James quickly jumped up and charged at Torman then just before he was in reach of Torman's axe and spun round again this time performing a side slash however as he had changed his position he had now seen someone in the corner of his eye.
Was someone there? No I cant get distracted one wrong move and Im done for James said to him self before retreating and checked on his arm .
" So your not just another meat head who thinks they can easily defeat me with power alone this may be more fun than I first thought " James said then smirked.

Torman hefted his axe and smiled at the merc. This little boy could put up quite a fight.
"You underestimated me," Torman said, "Most people do until they feel the sharp end of my axe. I'm not your typical Fighter."
He brought his axe down next to his side. When the blade passed his head, he saw a flash of someone on the edge of the forest out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head toward the movement and scanned the edge. Nothing on the surface, but if one looked closely they would see a slight flutter of movements just inside the edge. He looked back at James.
"Someone else is here."

" You saw them as well then " James replied " Listen we cant do this now " James quickly tried to track down the person but then more people seemed to be all around them " Uh oh I think I just saw more of them."
James quickly grabbed his sword from out of the ground and took note of his environment it was one of the things his uncle had taught him to be aware of. The area they where in was full of dead snow covered trees. The snow had now started falling heavily meaning that they could not see very well.
" I cant anything though this snow so we are sitting ducks out here " Said James wiping the snow from his gloves and tunic he was starting to feel the effects of the cold and could still feel the sting of the cut on his arm but he had to hide it from Torman.
" Fighting in these conditions is not ideal but we may have to shall we fight our way here or try to get into the open so its easier to get them the call is yours " James said moving about to trying to find who is watching them but to no success the snow had gotten just too thick to see in the distance.

"Staying out in the open is best," Torman replied, "We may not be able to see them now, but they can see us. We need them to come out here so as not to be surrounded in the forest."
Torman slid his axe into his belt and walked over to James.
"Follow my lead," the Fighter whispered. He then shouted loudly, "What a fight! You did very well!"

" Hey dont shout do you want them to find us? " James sheathed his sword then ran after Torman. There looked to be no end in sight James kept checking over his shoulder making sure that they wern't being followed he nearly hit a few trees because of his lack of focus but he kept running he just kept seeing tree after tree there seemed to be no end in sight the snow was getting thicker and it was getting harder to see . " Torman this storm just keeps getting worse " James suddenly stopped to take a breather he knew he could not take this much longer but he still pushed on.

Torman stopped very suddenly. There had been a sound to his right. James was running behind him, breathing deeply and struggling. This was a much needed break for him. Torman listened closely again. The sound had stopped. Very quickly, Torman turned and grabbed a person in the bushes. He pulled him out and threw the Soldier to the ground. The bandit slammed into the ground. Torman walked over and placed his boot on the bandit's chest.
"Why are you following us," Torman shouted as the lance user beneath him.
The Soldier glared at Torman, "You killed our leader. And don't think you will leave this place alive. There are-"
The bandit had been silenced by Torman's axe in his chest. Torman yanked his axe out and turned to James.
"Prepare yourself. We're about to be in one hell of a fight."

James quickly pulled out his sword and looked around him he had to focus he grabbed his pendent tight and got ready.
" I guess ill have to handle this quickly I need to save my energy but couldn't you have waited I think he was saying something important " James said thinking about what he had heard the bandits last words.
" there are... I wonder what he was going to say " James did not have to wait long for his answer before he had got this thoughts together a bandit jumped him from behind and knocked him to the floor James quickly sweeped him then stabbed him through the heart.
" Hey Torman try not to kill them all I need information leave one alive. "
James clenched his hand into a fist he was going to avenge his uncle one way or another.

Torman looked at the merc.
"I could tell he was going to say there are too many of them, but I don't believe in it will make a difference for these guys. They're simply just not trained enough. Should be easy," Torman said as he parried away a lance from a Soldier jumping out at him. Torman pulled the lance from the man's hands and cut the back of his legs to keep him from walking. The bandit screamed in pain, which quickly ended as Torman hit him over the head with the flat of the axe to knock him out. The bandit fell over in the snow, fast asleep.
"There's your information," Torman said as he ran over to James. He stood with his back to James', "You take the axe wielders, I will take the lances?"
That was the only battle plan Torman could think of. He hoped it would work.

James stood there in silence he was in deep thought this was his chance to get revenge on the people who butchered this family finally he spoke " Show no mercy I want them to feel the same suffering they put me through."
Within seconds of saying that James ran right at the bandits in front of him without thinking stabbing one of them he then sidesteped another then slashed at the guys legs so he could not move he then pulled the bandit to his feet.
" remember me? because I remember you and what you did to me " James said in a sadistic tone. " No please don't kill me I have a wife and kids! " There was fear in the bandits eyes.
" You should of thought about that before killing my family " James said with an angry tone then decapitated him. James smirked he was gonna enjoy this.

Torman watched James became more and more merciless. It was kind of terrifying. Turning back, Torman saw a sword swinging down at his face. He knocked it to the side, but his arm was still cut by it. Torman retaliated by hitting the swordsman in the stomach with the end and, when he bent over, brought the axe down on his back. Torman turned to a Soldier and charged him. Torman grabbed the bandit's lance and pulled it out in front of himself. He kicked the bandit on his elbow and broke his arm. The man's screams were quickly silenced by Torman's axe. He looked back at James.
"Don't lose your head, boy. We have many a foe left," Torman warned. He watched the bandits, looking for any sign of movement. They were nervous, which made Torman confident. He smiled.
"You've made a big mistake attacking us!"

James could not hear Torman he was built up in his rage. " Get back here you cowards!" James shouted at the top of his voice and charged after a group of 3 bandits running away. He was being fueled by his rage and he quickly gave chase and in no time at all he had managed to get ahead of them. "Leaving already? But I was having so much fun " James said then his smirk returned and with in seconds he had charged at them all guns blazing and had taken out 2 of them ducking and dodging there attacks then he gave chase to the last one.
" No please have mercy " said the bandit he was trembling and the fear on his face told a story. " Have mercy? Like you did when my family where begging for there lives! You think its amazing that I still hear there screams! " James said and he punched the bandit in the head knocking him to the floor. " I'm sorry just let me live " the bandit was now begging and pleading with James but the sadistic grin on James face remained. " Your sorry? you think you can just say sorry and all is forgiven! Well sorry won't bring them back! " James then took his sword and stabbed the bandit though the heart he then pulled his sword out and walked up to Torman " Worry about keeping your own head before worrying about mine. "

Torman crossed his arms and looked at the young Mercenary. He was impressed by James' skill and ferocity.
"If you say so," Torman looked around as he spoke. No bandits remained. He looked back at James, "It appears as though we've have finished the job here. What say we get a drink at the inn. My treat. You have proven yourself today and I think your family would have been proud."
Torman had hoped to cheer James up a little. Plus he was getting really cold and was losing the feeling in his toes, as well as bleeding from the wound in his arm. James was looking a little pale, too, and seemed to be shivering slightly. Torman smiled greatly and wrapped his arm around the boy.
"Let us go then," he shouted merrily as he carried James back to the inn. But a groan to his left caught his attention. He looked over and saw the bandit he had knocked out. He was waking up. Torman set James down and walked over to the bandit. Torman placed his foot on his chest.
"Now, what to do with you."

James got up and started walking on his own outside the inn " you wont have to worry about anymore bandits here for a while " James said to the inn keeper.
" oh thank you two so much here a couple of drinks on the house " The inn keeper pushed two drinks towards the both of them.
" well I guess im done here I may not have found the man who killed my uncle but I was able to send him a message but for now we celebrate " James said and raised his glass in the air " cheers Torman and thanks for all your help "

Torman was glad to have left the bandit alive. He was now in jail and could do no more harm. The free drinks weren't bad, either. Torman raised his glass and toasted as well.
"No problem, my friend. I'm glad to have helped you," Torman yawned broadly. What a day, "I think I shall retire for the night. I will be heading out tomorrow. I hope to see you again James."
And with that, Torman downed the rest of his drink and went to his room, where he flopped into the bed and fell fast asleep.
