Mel stretched up onto her toes, patting the pouting lumberjack on the forehead as she quickly mulled over what the hooded one had just said. She knew that tone, that voice, and most certainly that little story all too well from the events of a few months earlier, not a single slip of surprise flitting across her face as she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye and slipped right into the roll smoothly.
"Danger? Oh yes...much danger..." A sweet smile drifting onto her face she gave Buto's face another firm slap pat, trotting over to where Hiro stood looking rather smug. "I would suggest it because she was frightening the poor little lumberjack...she might as well tug up the stakes all the way by provoking him. Just look at him, poor little thing is quivering" she daintily motioned to the man standing there with a little giggle. Her fingers walked up Hiro's cheek, a finger hooking around his hood and tugging it down to plant a kiss on his cheek "daaaaaaarling~"

Hiro looked down into Mel's eyes and reached up and grabbed Mel's check in between his thumb and index finger and began to tug "How could you not fall in love with somebody this adowable?" Hiro then sled his arm around Mel and pulled her closer by keeping a half hug going and gave her a peck on the forehead. He felt terrible for yanking this girl's hair then spitting in her face the last time they saw each other. Well, he would if he wasn't an asshole, she could have been completely love stricken after she kneed him in the family jewels and his paranoia get the best of him in that room. Didn't help her dad, or something, came pounding on their door. "Since you don't seem so gung-ho on putting an arrow into me I guess we could retreat to my room to talk privately, sans Bob the 'brigand'." Hiro shifted his head towards Butorega "Word from the wise, don't ever threaten your "meal ticket's" wife." He then returned his gaze into Mel's eyes. "Would you like to join me and the nice lady over there, or is Hiro began to baby talk Mel. she too scary?"

Jya watched the whole scene playout, everyone seemed to focused with one another than to notice her in the background. That's fine, but it did look sort of fun in its own right. She fidgeted it a bit, but as the silver haired girl approached the man and gave a kiss and the situation all felt calmer, she let out a sigh. Tense situations made her uneasy, it always has. Her solution had often been, strike first and get away. So now that it felt that no blood would be spilled, she lessened her grip on her sword.
It seemed as though another, slightly more private discussion was about to begin. If that was the case, then it would be rude to intrude, but it isn't like she was going to jeopardize anything. Well if it was the room, she wouldn't have too much of a trouble getting there. So she got a quick start, keeping her eyes on the man and his apparent wife.

Oh crap, thought Butorega to himself. He had let his anger get the best of him and said something he would come to regret. “Sorry about that”, spoke Butorega. In truth Butorega was not really sorry. Violence and violent intentions was always solved with violence or threats of violence in the circles he normally ran in. Threatening to kill someone was common in the world of cutthroats and brigands. The difference between crossing the line and just talk was always the drawing of the weapon and Butorega still had his sheath. The fact that he was dealing with, softer folk as Bones would say, started to sink into his head. Threats and honest intentions needed to be hidden. Thought the task was quite hard as Mel, this man’s wife, seemed to be hell bent on pissing Butorega off.
“I think I will leave you all to it before I dig myself in a deeper hole”, spoke Buorega. The brigand almost walked away, but decided to stop and say another word. “Oh little girly boy”, spoke Butorega as he stared at Aelia. “If I find out you laid a hand on my meal ticket I will hunt you down to the end of the earth.” Butorega walked off as Hiro and Mel were having their conversation. “Disgusting”, he murmured under his breath. “IF there are any gods up there”, spoke Butorega as he looked into the sky. “Please kill me if I ever end up like that.”

Aelia blink blinks once again, an audible tone coming from the young woman as she takes an awkward step back and then clears her throat in the direction of the two passive aggressive love birds. "While you're both very cute and all that... She starts, resisting the urge to pet the living hell out of Mel's hair. It looks so fluffy! And her point ears! Eeee! And then her eyes draw back towards the brigand, and then his comment! Hey look! Here comes Aelia's self conscious attack as she reaches up a hand and plays with her blonde bangs a bit awkwardly. "Wow! Rude!" She'll declare all huffy like, pouting up a massive storm. "I'm sure I'd be able to hear you thundering after me anyways." She clicks her tongue, her voice missing that sweet tone she'd been putting on since their little standoff hit the 'awkward kissy wissy' stage of things.
So she'll finally turn back towards Hiro and his little maiden, an unsure look on her face. "... Are you two going to need a room without me?" She asks, her brow furrowed as her lips pull into just the tiniest little smirk. She really had no idea what she was dragging herself into here, or even if she really wanted to be involved at this point! Elimine protect her, it was always the friskiest ones that were the most dangerous. "Because I would rather not speak about my lady while that is happening. She hums, putting a finger to her lips as she closes her eyes. "By which I mean, very in depth conversations about puppies and kitties." She'll quickly add. Don't pet the short one, don't pet her... Don't pet her Aelia.

Mel was not amused as Hiro pinched her cheek and wiggled it, grimacing a little at the action. But, as he pulled her in closer her fingers went to work, feeling him up for weapons and the like rather inconspicuously, but not even bothering to hide her intentions to her husband. "She is rather frightening..." done with Hiro's TSA pat down she held her hand up to her mouth, letting out a theatrical little gasp. "Do you think she bites? Oh. But did you drain that large pus filled balloon on your backside dear? I told you to do it every morning, if you don't it lets off that awful stench..." She seemed to playfully tug his ear, casting an eye to Butorega as he fled.
"Farewell Bertram...do look after my husband well. He can hardly do anything for himself you see...quite the pity..." She pursed her lips and looked down at the ground solemnly, nodding her head slowly for a long moment. "Now...I am quite sure that we need a room without you blondie, though...if you wish to purchase the room and join up I am sure that no one would dare say a word in complaint. "Is that not right?" she smiled around and folded her arms in front of herself comfortably.

Hiro had to stop himself from laughing, her fingers running up and down his back was tickling him. "I don't think she bites, but I might nibble of you if you don't stop tickling me like that. Also I told you I don't do it daily to keep people like Ben away, looks like it didn't work." Hiro let out a little giggle after that. Wait, did he just giggle? Was he turning gay or something? Oh say it isn't so, leaning in and giving Mel a full on kiss he pulled away. Yup, still enjoyed that, that's a fantastic sign. Focusing back to the other girl he slid his hand down Mel's backside "I fear that the danger I am may but my beloved in harm's way so we parted ways for a short period of time. This is the first time we saw each other for some time, I apologize for putting you through this. I promise to be on my best behavior until you part ways with us. Scouts honor." Hiro raised his free hand with three fingers up.
"Shall we be on our way so I could tell you the shitstorm that's brewing in our homeland?" He would hate to even think about possibly considering admitting it, but the gremlin had began to grow on him. Just a teensy weensy bit, assuming enough alcohol was provided.

“I need to find something to do”, spoke Butorega to himself. His past entertainment had just been ruined and he seemed to have dug himself into a bit of hole with his soon to become boss. Butorega looked around town, but things still seemed a bit dull. He had already seen all the sites yesterday and a repeat visit would only encourage his itch to go and kill something. “I wonder if Onigumo was still in town”, spoke Butorega to himself. He began searching for the temple.
If anybody was up for some action it would be Onigumo. Onigumo may have become a priest, but he was still a warrior at heart. Butorega was sure he would be up for a sparing section or at the very least point him in the direction of some action. Then again Onigumo did seem to take his priestly work very seriously. He just might make the brigand pray with him, or even worse attend a service. Butorega stopped in his tracts. “Not a good idea”, he spoke aloud. It was not that Butorega hated churches and religious services, but rather he found the idea of someone as bloodthirsty as him praying distasteful. As Butorega looked around he noticed something he had not before. There was a sign on the wall advertising a sword dojo.
“A dojo”, spoke Butorega aloud. He stopped and turned to the building. There was a great board marked with the words Master Hector’s Swordsmanship Dojo. It was weird, or rather it was weird for Butorega. He had never in his life seen a dojo before or even heard of the word dojo. He knew however it had something to do with swordsmanship by the fact swordsmanship was written on the sign. Other than that he had no idea what was inside. “Well might as well see”, spoke Buotrega as he walked into the building.

Aelia continues to give the couple quite dumbfounded looks, her free hand reaching up to caress her brow as she balances her bow back against her shoulder and clicks her tongue. Alright, they were cute at first but this was starting to cross into the way too sappy territory quite quickly. Not to mention, her romance senses were tingling, pointing that something may well be up! But, she couldn't sour her chances now, she had a chance to do something for Eturia! That'd be pretty sweet as all the kids would say.
"I only bite dragons. Promise." She remarks with a quick nod, her inflection betraying that she's quite serious, even if it was an outstandingly silly comment. "Right then, lead on!" She chimes at Hiro, straightening out her back and shooting them both a cheerful little salute, thumping her right hand against her chest before she uses her left to sling her bow by it's string across shoulders. "And, It's Aelia. Aelia Elimine." She remarks, closing her eyes and putting her nose into the air as a little grin plays along her face. That most certainly had to be a fake name. "And who do I have the honor of speaking to sweetie?" She asks, deftly tilting to the right and patting Mel on the head. Mission accomplished.

"Did you ever get the feeling you just missed something exceptionally interesting and stupid?" He asked allowed to no one in particular, only receiving a few strange looks in response. The smith just shrugged and sighed. He wasn't wearing his usual getup, but that was because he working in the forge. Instead of his coat and scarf he donned an apron, thick gloves, and soot smudged skin. He grumbled aloud, for the whole world to hear. He was working on some backorders he had to take care of before he could just cut and run away from the twins. He also had to work on the designs for Wein's bow and get the materials for it, he had his work cut out for him. He couldn't just go out into the streets and observe whatever interesting situations may or may not be developing, nor could he really follow up and ask questions about the whole 'campaign' thing. Not that he would get anything out of it, nor did it really matter in the end to be honest.
"I get that feeling all the time." Valcrist grumbled to his self before going back to work. He probably wasn't going to be doing a whole lot of socializing today.

"Oh? Your homeland? How quaint~" she reached behind herself and pinched Hiro's hand, digging in her nails viciously as she smiled softly to Aelia, pulling Hiro around and starting off towards the nearest inn. A free room sounded just fine, even if the annoyance was there once again. He was most certainly irritating, more so than Zero anyways, but it was a fine test of her skills to continue to keep her on her best con man toes. With a happy little hum she pressed her cheek against Hiro's side, snuggling against him as they walked with her arms wrapped around him. The pat on her head made bile rise up in her throat, but she didn't break character, swearing in her mind to chop off the damned woman's hand after this was complete.
She led them inside, cheerily informing the innkeeper that the blonde woman behind them would pay for everything before heading up the stairs to the room that they had received and slipping inside. Letting go of the man she made her way over to the bed and dropped on it lazily, closing her eyes for a moment and letting out a sigh. "Weird girl, better finish up whatever you need with her before I chop off those pretty little hands of hers..." The question of why he was there flitted across her mind, but she hardly cared all that much, she wasn't interested in his life story. What he was up to though was an entirely other matter.

Mel had lead them to another inn, perfect. He wouldn't want to get that gremlin's blood on his guardian angel if she was to try to sneak into his room to kill him. Hiro went straight for the table, lifting his bag from under his cloak he set it upon the table and began to dig through it. " Kraft's rise to power had only been at the church level for a period of time. Being such a high ranking member in the church of Elimne he had a decent amount of money, one day he met a special thief who made away with his coin purse. Admiring his abilities he hired him in the hopes of rising in the political ranks as well." "God damn it, where is that poster, ah ha! There it is" Pulling the wanted poster out he kept it in his hands as he talked. " Some crap went down at some lord's mansion and Kraft found a way to get the people to revolt against the king. Before delivering the documents to Kraft the thief had a few too many drinks to celebrate his new found job, stumbling into the streets a "good" idea popped into his head. He rallied up the followers of the church in revolting against the crown and raising the prophet into the throne. Surprisingly it worked pretty damn well. The thief and Kraft kept a close connection but in fear of a public backlash if they learned the thief worked for Kraft they kept their partnership hidden. When Kraft needed to speak to him they found some bullcrap excuse to arrest him, once he was in the dungeon they spoke their business and the thief broke out of jail like always. Most of the time Kraft had him plant evidence to remove other higher up officials in the church or to steal evidence they had on him." One day Kraft had an important task for him. To find the people who killed Elime when she was resurrected. A long the way the thief ran into the group he use to work with. One thing led to another and they had traveled to Ostia to take down their defenses from within. It took a couple of days and they infiltrated castle and assassinated the Marquess. The walls came down as Kraft's army stormed the city, then... then..." Hiro began to stare in a single direction at nothing in particular, his eyes were filled with fear and possibly regret(as if he regrets anything). " Those damn abominations started to wonder the town. The dead had risen and attacked anything and everything in their path. At that moment he ran from everything, living his life in fear of assassins, using his knowledge of most of his other agents to avoid them. A couple years later he used the rebels to attack in the capital of Bern to stir the pot there." Hiro looked at the girl for a second before stretching out his hand holding the poster waiting for her to grab it. It read:
The drawing was obviously from when he was much younger. "I'm not doing this for anybody but myself. The man has had me living in fear for too long, he has done the same to a lot more people in the name of "the church" and it's time to put an end to it. That sack of garbage needs to be kicked to the curb. I was there for a lot of it, I guess this is my way of atoning for the wrongs I have done." Granted, he stretched the truth a little. He didn't want to live in piece, he wanted to replace Kraft as the people's hero, his name already suggested it after all. There was also no atoning for anything, doing so would imply Hiro has wronged somebody but they got what they deserved for now thanking him for allowing him to wear his clothes and use his belongings in their daily lives.

Aelia would blink several times as Mel doesn't grace her with so much of a name! Delegating poor blondie into following after in awkward silence as she thumbed the arch of her bow with a choked noise under her breath. She felt rather odd following them into a random inn, a mix between what she assumed spies felt like and more than a little bit of 'this can only end badly'. She'll also stop dead when she's approached for pay, blondie being left behind as she begins to pat down her cloak for pockets in desperate search for coin! She was dressed in rags! This wasn't fair! AAAAHHH!
Hiro and Mel will soon enough be joined by the young woman, a downtrodden look on her face as she rubbed the top of her head with a hand and lets out a huffy sound. "I had to put down all of my peaches as down payment..." She trails off, putting on quite the pout as she rubs the side of her head and ambles over towards the table. See, she missed the whole 'cut her hands off thing' so she can't think of mel as much more than an adorable dorable cutie patootie sweetie pie as she pulls her chair out on the other side and spins it around to rest her chin on the back as she peers at Hiro.
She'll stare at him pretty intently during his whole story, her brow furrowing a bit and the young woman biting her lip as she lets out a throaty noise. She had no love of Kraft, none at all, having been subject to too many interrogations by Eturian soldiers and privy to refuge trains trying to flee the country, she wasn't easily blinded by someone declaring themself a prophet. And, even more, it wasn't hard for her to buy this story, even as she strives to lock eyes with Hiro. She's always been under the belief that someone can't tell a lie if you're looking right into their soul. But, then, she's more than a bit silly at times.
"Right. But, you must have a plan right?" She'll finally ask, leaning back to sit up and interlace her fingers behind her noggin. "By which I mean, beyond just killing Kraft. That's a given." She'll remark smoothly, eyes closed as she clicks her tongue. "The whole of Eturia is built upon sustaining him and his empire, from every magistrate to every head of worship, general and all the way down to the grey men balancing the budgets deep within his fortress. You kill him, and then what?" She asks, cocking an eyebrow as she purses her lips. She's keeping her noble birth a secret for now, if only because she might not be wholly convinced that Hiro's motives are entirely pure, even if she believes he's not one of Kraft's spies now.
"What about Eturia? The nation as a whole, after Kraft's empire comes tumbling down, what will the people do? Will you take charge, allow his cronies to step up?" She asks, furrowing her brow before she sighs and rubs her forehead with a (pretty) hand. "I... Need to know that the contents of the Tower of the Saint will be protected. From Kraft... Or you." She remarks, opening her eyes and putting her hands on the table as she leans in a little bit too close to Hiro.
Aelia had always been a religious girl, being a lady of a noble house in Eturia did that to someone, especially when their parents were grooming them for a high position in the church. And to say she admired the Saint to a great degree would be an understatement, it may well sound silly, or even zealous, but she had spent much of the last three years of her life exemplifying Elimine's spirit. And she isn't even getting into what those artifacts meant to Eturia as a nation!
Elimine was also really pretty so that might have something to do with it.

Butorega walked out from the dojo completely covered in bumps and bruises. “I have a long way to go”, spoke Butorega as he walked into the street. It was still a bit early and the brigand still needed to find something to occupy his time. However violence and combat was no longer on menu, or at the very least while wilding a sword. Butorega truly learned that he had no chance with a blade.
Butorega eventually decided that it would be best to return to the inn. He still needed to follow up on his threat. If the maiden had harmed his meal ticket then there would be blood, but from what Butoreg saw earlier she probably knew better. It might be best however to keep contact to a minimum. He did threaten to kill his employer wife. A mistake he was sure he would pay for later.

Wein half-walked, half-stumbled into the forge holding two mugs of ale, one half-empty the other entirely gone. He stood in the doorway for a moment, his eyes locked in a sleepy gaze, before taking a wobbly step towards Valcrist. With a long, slow yawn, he looked down at what the Nabatan was working on, but upon realizing it was in no way intended for him, his interest faded.
"So, how's the smithing going?" the archer asked, his words slightly slurred as he attempted to fully straighten himself. "You having fun?"
Not waiting for a response, he offered the empty beer mug to Valcrist. "I got you one, but on the way here, I figured you wouldn't want to drink and work at the same time," he said, looking down into the froth coated stein, "so I ended up drinking it. Hope you don't mind."
