"Tch," Torman made a sound in his throat. He didn't like the sound of sword users. It would make his life a bit more difficult and leave him with a few more scars. The trio kept walking.
"I'd have to agree with you there, Orlando," Torman replied, "Magic would make things unpleasant."
The fighter looked up at Shugo, "Are there any magic users?"

"No", spoke Shugo as he shuffled thorugh his memory. "I don't remeber any of them using magic at all. However I will note that they are a bit sneaky. I don't exspect us to just walk into their camp, and not get ambush. From the way they were talking it seemes that they have been kidnapping for a while and probably had to dill with a revenge plot or two. "

Orlando begins to look around suspiciously.
- The woman said that some "friends" had seen Shugo enter the inn... If they really are so vindictive and cunning, they probably would have seen us leaving... -
- By the way, we will not attack them head down. First of all we need a plan: we are outnumbered after all, and from what you say, they seem to be expert fighters. -
He doesn't alarm the others with his concerns, but from now on no noise, no matter how small, will go unnoticed to him.

"Interesting," Torman replied to Shugo. No magic was a good thing, but tricky sword users out for blood. That was a problem.
"I guess we'll just have to out with them, then," Torman stated. He listened to what Orlando said and nodded, "Sounds like a plan. I'd rather keep all of my appendages attached."
Torman thought a bit more as they walked, "Maybe we should come up with our own ambush tactic. One of us could be a distraction and lead them to the rest of us to finish off."

"Right", spoke Shugo as he hopped off Torman's shoulder. "I can do that part. They are after me anyway", spoke Shugo. "I can walk up to their camp and when they pop out to ambush me you all can ambush them."
In shugo mind this plan was perfect. He never thought what might happen if they just simply attacked, but in truth the slavers seemed to have some kind of plan for him. They did drag him all the way from Bern to Lycia, but at the same time he did kill one of their members. Whether or not they aimed to kill him or not Shugo would make a perfect distraction. It even make sense for the boy to come alone as the slavers still have his precious pendent and they know full well the young man is going to want it back. However the young boy would be throwing himself into an immense amount of danger. When one goes fishing the bait is always devoured.
When Shugo finished talking he was now turned toward Torman and Orlando. His back was now toward the direction of the slave camp and facing the road behind them. The young boy’s eyes lit up when he saw two figures heading swiftly down the road. They both were on horseback and seemed to have swords in their hands.
“Umm, do any of you have friends who are knights”, asked Shugo as the riders grew ever closer. “Knights do ride horses right”, spoke Shugo.

When the kid warns of the arrival of two men on horseback, Orlando turns to look at them. They doesn't seem to be burly, but is not excluded that they enemies, judging from the drawn swords.
- I don't. Stand aside, let them pass. -
He replied to Shugo moving to the side of the road. He doesn't draw his sword, but keeps his hand ready on the hilt, just in case.
- I wonder where they are going so fast... -

"Woah, kid. I'm not so sure you should be the one to be the bait. You're young, kid. Maybe it should be me or Orlando. We'd be able to take a few more hits than you."
Torman listened to the boy further, "I don't have any knight friends," Torman listened some more before turning around at Shugo's question, "Kid, cavaliers ride horses," the fighter explained. His voice dropped to a whisper, "Keep your hand on that lance and be ready. We may have to fight."
Torman hefted his axe onto his shoulder and watched the cavaliers. He stepped to the side of the road and pushed Shugo back with him. He hoped that they would avoid a fight and these cavaliers were just messengers. Too bad for them, Lady Luck decided she would not favor them.
One cavalier lowered his lance at Torman. The fighter hooked the weapon with his axe and pulled it off to the side where it could do no harm. Criminals didn't really know the weapon triangle all that well, did they? The cavalier fell right behind his weapon and Torman caught him by the collar. The horseman began to struggle, trying desperately to get free. Torman put a stop to that by punching the criminal in the face. The cavalier fell unconscious and his friend was charging Orlando now.
Poor, poor fools.

OC: Don't worry about it Orlando cavaliers usually carry both weapons and it makes sense for them to switch when they are riding by. Easier to hit a target with a lance while riding than a sword.
IC: "Eeep", Shugo whelped as he saw the man. He was clearly one of the men who captured him. This fact surprised him more was the fact that they were in armor. Shugo always equaled armor to guards and soldiers, but never to bandits and slavers. The thought of an armored knight doing evil sent a chill down the young boy spine. How would normal villagers defend themselves against such men?
"That guy is one of them", shouted Shugo. He then turned his attention to the second man, but he could not recognize him. The second was unknown to him, but he was clearly on the slavers side.

OC: Oh right, I played so much FE4 lately that I forgot cavaliers use both weapons As Torman is engaged in battle, the mercenary wield his weapon, and the second cavalier attacks him. He seems to be more judicious than his companion since he use a lance versus Orlando's sword.
- Gah! -
Orlando menages to dodge right in time deflecting the spear, but he is unable to fight back.
- Quick! In the woods! -
Maybe he is not so skilled in fighting, but still Orlando have a good experience: the woods will help both sides to dodge enemy attacks, but horses are difficult to control without a large space.

"Damn the woods," Torman shouted at Orlando. He now shouted at Shugo, "Stay behind me, Shugo!"
Torman hefted his axe up and took a swing at the second cavalier. His axe blade caught the horse bound man and pulled him to the ground. The man fell face first into the dirt. Torman kicked him in the stomach and the man curled up, groaning. He won't be getting up for a while.
"Looks like we have ourselves information," Torman said, "Orlando, you can come out of the woods now."
The fighter then turned his attention to Shugo, "You okay, kid?

As Torman pulled the man to the ground Shugo placed his lance at his neck. "Don't move", spoke the young recruit. He was a bit proud of himself for it.
"I am fine", spoke Shugo as he turned away from the grounded man. It was a foolish mistake to take his eyes off the enemy and cavalier would pounce on the opportunity. As Shugo turned he popped up. He pulled a dagger off his leg and held the blade at the young boy's neck.
"No one move, or I will split the boy's throat", he spoke while pressing the blade on shugo neck.
"Not again", spoke Shugo as the man took him hostage. The young boy was getting quite tired of this game. Beign taken hostage over and over again was something he did not like. With all the force in his arms Shugo swung his arm down and slammed his fist into the man's balls. Immediately he let go of the boy. Shugo rolled out of the way and turned around to face the man.

- Well, not very tactical, but functional... -
That's Orlando's comment about Torman's performance. As he return on the road, the burly companion leaves the apparently knocked out foe to Shugo and stop watching him. The problem is that Shugo too doesn't pay attention, and soon thev enemy stands and take the kid as hostage. Shugo provides himself freedom at the cost of the man's reproductive capacity, leaving the cavalier in pain, barely on his feets. Orlando approachs him sword at hand, and the other tryes his best to raise his weapon at the mercenary, while still holding his stomach with his left arm.
- You hit him really bad, little one! -
With a single, strong strike, the two blades collide, and the cevalier lets go of the grip, finding himself disarmed.
- Let's see ... I think there will be a chat. Don't even try to escape, I don't guarantee for his actions. -
He indicates Torman smiling, then he turns to the fighter.
- I leave him to you. -
The mercenary goes to tie the horses so that they don't escape. Meanwhile, he stops to take the enemy sword from the ground.
- Not bad, I should keep this one. -

"My pleasure," Torman replied to the mercenary. He picked up the fallen and disarmed cavalier, "As you can see, fighting us is not a wise plan. Not talking is also not a wise plan, so I would suggest you talk."
Torman's voice became very menacing and the cavalier shook in fear, his armor rattling. Torman began his interrogation, "How many of you are there?"
"I-I will not tell you," the man replied fearfully.
"Oh, such a shame," Torman said, feigning disappointment. He punched the man in the face, "I would rather not resort to certain... measures."
"I w-will stay silent!"
"Well, I guess that is how it is going to be then," Torman said. The fighter twisted the cavalier's body so he was facing the ground with his right arm in front of Torman. The fighter pinned the cavalier's leg with his own an placed the cavalier's right hand on a stump. Torman drew his axe and raised it above the man's hand. Fear shined in his eyes.
"Tell me everything I want to know," Torman said.
"N-N-Never..."
"So be it," Torman raised the axe high above his head and swung.
"Fine, I'll talk, I'll talk!"
The axe blade stopped an inch from the man's wrist. Torman looked at him and saw the man sniveling and crying.
"I'm glad you decided to help us," Torman said, "Now, tell me how many of you are there."
"There are ten of us in the camp! We were sent out to try and find you, so right now there are right of us there!"
"Do you have any other prisoners?"
"We have two other prisoners in the camp!"
"Age?"
"Young! Boy and a girl!"
"What's the guard route look like?"
"Three men patrol the border of the camp!"
"Weapons?"
"Swords for two of them, and axe for the third!"
Torman looked away from the sniveling man, "Anything you two would like to ask our good friend here?"

“How could you be so cruel”, shouted Shugo as he stared at the man. “I mean really. How could you take another man’s freedom away and stuff them into a cage. Then you sell them to someone else where they will be abused and beaten.” Tears began to run down the young boy’s eyes as he stared at the man. Pinned up emotions began to rise up from his belly as he began to remember the horrors he suffer. Now he thought of the other children being held by the dastardly slavers. How they must have suffered. At the very least Shugo complained and moaned. The others were quiet. Shugo could not even tell they were there. How cruel must they have been to silence these children? How cruel of punishment they gave them for the kids to not even scream for help. Something inside Shugo simply snapped as the young boy began to walk up to the cavalier.
“What would your father say”, spoke Shugo as the image of his own father flashed into his mind. He remembered the kind man who had a strong sense of justice, and a pride for honest living. “How about your mother”, spoke Shugo as his mother appeared next? She was a hard working woman who worked hours under the heat of the forge and still returned home to bake her son cookies. “How about your grandmother”, spoke Shugo as his voice began to rise? “What would they say if they knew what you were doing? How would you feel if I threw you inside a cage and beat you on a regularly? How would you feel if I gave you only dirty water and moldy pieces of bread”, shouted Shugo as he walked up to the man. He then stabbed his lance through the man’s hand and watched as he twisted in agony.
“Well answer me dog”, shouted the young boy as he pulled the lance back out! “Answer me”, he shouted again as he stabbed the spear back in once more. Shugo was beyond angry now. The young boy was enraged. All the fear and helplessness that filled his mind before was gone, and the only thing left was rage, pure and unadulterated. Shugo rage burned like the sun turning a well mannered ten year old into a sadistic monster as he began to stabb the man's hand over and over. The only thing keeping him from simply killing him out right was Torman and Orlando. If it was just him and Shugo he would have already been dead.
