"Oh, is that correct? Well, I'm just a simple soldier, doing soldiering stuff, scaling mountains, killing blood thirsty Sacaeans and hunting refugee Dragons." Faravinn joked, trying to shake off his previous moment's anxiety. How embarassing, in front of kids too..., not that he was any older at the age of 17.
" I hate this whole army bullshit- but none of you heard that from me. I don't belong in uniform to be frank, but when they have a mother as hostage... you kind of just have to play along, you hear me?" He lifted his shield full of peaches, his spear slung over his shoulder. "Sorry about all the unecessary paranoia, I'll just be on my way then-"
THUNK!
Faravinn had walked directly into an outstretched tree limb and toppled onto the ground. Groaning, he rolled over.

Rilcha jumped into the air at the loud thunk, letting out a cry of surprise as he clung tightly to the closest thing, the kindly Miss who had patted his hair. The boy's heart thumped in his chest, standing still with his eyes scrunched shut for a few moments as he composed himself and eventually cracked one open. Wearily he cast his gaze downward towards the ground, watching the other male roll over in the dirt silently as he unraveled his limbs from around the pretty woman.
"So sorry Miss..."
He took a fat step back and held his arm awkwardly, keeping his eyes to his feet as his cheeks flamed red in embarrassment. "I'm fourteen as of the end of the harvest, I'm not so little eh? And I have a sword...my Mam gave it to me to protect myself so I'll be just fine!" The boy glanced up, looking between the two confidently as a few leaves dropped out of his hair "she said I should go out into the world and explore, so I'm not too sure where to go..."

Aelia cocks an eyebrow at Lynessa, her hands falling on to her hips as she pokes her tongue between her lips. "You? Cute? Nah, you're more pretty than anything~" She giggles oh so very sweetly with an animated swish of her hips even as her messy bangs cover her eyes once again. She'll let Girl With The Dragon form talk as she takes a step back, holding her bow against her hip. "Ooooh, it's not a probably question at this point." She giggles, flashing Lynessa just the cheesiest smile before she leeeeeaaaans over and puts her weight on the manakete from the right. "Under the protection of my lovely bodyguard, Lynie the Snowbear." She chirps oh so very sweetly before she suddenly furrows her brow, and then pouts quite hard! "That's not harassment! It's spicing up the day!"
She'll catch Aella's eyes for just the quickest moment, her eyes narrowing sharply as she purses her lips. She's missing something, she's missing something that she can just tell is very serious. Her Aelia senses are going off like crazy but she's not sure what's up! "I hope The Saint finds you well today sister." She'll remark in a balanced, serene way with a sharp nod as she tears her eyes off of the cleric. There's something there! Something world shattering! Something something!
Aelia'll stare at the boy and the Dragon Woman for a few moments, watching her pet him before she lets out a little huff. It was her job to pet random people! And bite them! But uh... That was for different reasons. She would also similarly jump at the thunk before she bites her lip to suppress a giggle. "Peace defender of Etruia." She'll hum, still sounding a bit more cultured than the sassy girl that assaulted Lynessa with peach pits earlier. "Here we go." She remarks, reaching down to lift him up gently before she half skips over to Lynessa and TWHUMPs into her side again on the other side of Rilcha. "Right, which is why it's dangerous for little sirs to be traveling on their own cute stuff. She remarks, swinging off of Lynessa's side to come near face to face with the little boy before she shoots him a wink. "Stop looking at me like that Lynie, that cute wasn't directed at you."

What was going on? A little boy showed up and then there was a bumbling soldier. Actually, out of the whole group, the only one who looked dangerous was Lyn. The fact she was traveling alone without a weapon or any noticeable item was immediately suspect to Aella. But the lady was so sweet, it was hardly cause for concern. When the soldier smashed into the branch, Aella's attention immediately went to him. Even as the archer was helping him up, Aella was already examining him. He didn't seem to badly hurt, but one could never be too careful. By the time he was standing, Aella was fairly certain he would be fine. And to make sure she didn't exasperate the situation she withheld some tonic she desperately wanted to try. "You'll be fine as long as you're careful. It probably won't even bruise. Just got the wind knocked out of you."
With the immediate concern taken care of, she turned to address the center of attention. "I don't have a guard because I'm not on official duty. In fact, I don't even have a duty." Sheepishly, Aella stared at her feet. "I'm just trying to be a better cleric." Looking up, she turned to the archer. "She always does. And may Saint Elimine find you all safely on your own paths." Aella didn't really care much for the church of Etruria. Her monastery had been a separate entity, anyway. Still, it was customary to greet a cleric so in this country, and who would want to mess with tradition?
Brushing her hair out of her eyes, Aella paused to stare at the boy. A brilliant idea occurred to her. "You're looking for adventure, right? Want to be my body guard? The lady has a point. A cleric shouldn't be out alone, and you seem like a capable individual. And I'm out and about looking for different medicines, salves, and such. You'll be able to meet some interesting people and learn new things. And if you get hurt, I can help. What do you say?" Sure the boy was young, but Aella saw potential. Plus, he was so darn cute.

OH GEEZ. OH GEEZ. OH GEEZ. JUST KEEP RUNNING FASTER!
The little girl known as Sylvia Cain kept repeating this mantra in her head as she ran through the woods. Stupid getting lost while trying to find berries! Stupid stream with fish in it! STUPID BEARS! AGH, everything was so stupid! Stupid! Stupid! STUPID!
Regardless, she kept running. She could still hear the roars and the trampling and the- WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE A BEAR!? All she wanted was to find food! And water! And stuff!
Eventually, she burst through some bushes, still screaming her head off out of fear, green hair and clothing flailing about wildly with pieces of brush scattering everywhere. But so frightened was she that she didn't even manage to see the tree in front of herself, smashing hard into the very unmovable mass of bark. Reeling from the impact of her sudden stop, she stepped backward awkwardly before promptly keeling over entirely onto her back.
"no mommy... i dun wanna bed time..." The delirious child murmured in her delirium, right in front of a group of strangers. Well... this day sure could have gone better.

Lynessa sighed, it seemed this blonde girl would torment her forever. They could be good friends but she had a feeling that a lot of her being stressed by Aelia's teasing would be included. "I wasn't looking at you, actually. And please stop calling me pretty, cute, or anything." The dragon woman seemed embarassed. She understood that Aelia just teased her but those words alone were enough to make her blush. Compiments for her look was something she often got but Lyn still couldn't get used to it. Maybe she should the cleric answer the Rilcha questions for now, she had to fend off this little blonde pest who clinging to her.
That was quite interesting scene. Lynessa saw a green-haired girl used herself as battering ram...Well, it was actually the girl running and bumping to the tree. She close her eyes at the crash, it would be quite painful she thought. Her pointy ears twitched as roars came from where the unlucky girl came. A bad stupid roar in the bad stupid time. "That must be a bear! And maybe more than one!" she shouted to the other. Bears usually didn't attack travellers unless they felt threatened, this girl might have accidentally anger those furry animals. She looked at Faravinn and sighed, he was a soldier but he probably wouldn't be able to do much if a few women was enough to scare him.The dragon woman gently pushed Aelia away and pet the boy head once again. "Aelia, can you scare the bear with your arrow?" she asked before rushing toward Sylvia.
"Don't worry, we are gonna save you." she said as she tried to help Sylvia get up.

Dazed and whatnot, Faravinn stumbled to his feet, donning his old, rusty helmet as the bear roar in the distance awakened his internal "oh I'd probably better try to not die" mechanism. Trying to display a farce of bravado, Faravinn learned on his spear, and staggered forward, waving it menacingly, really not caring about the consequences, instead forming a one man pike phalanx, in which he was the sole member. In short, a stupid, and useless pike phalanx that was going to get him absolutely nowhere but killed. He was scared shitless, and the roars casued a tremble to waver its way down his spine.
"Um... in my duty to the saint dude," he mumbled, "I shall defend you, to my...err, dying breath?" He swore in a moment of resignation.
"Well, f**k" he murmured to himself, spotting the bear's shaggy fur far in the distance through the trees. Eck, if he died, at least he would be free of the stupid army and its stupid commanders and the whole orgy of nonsense that he was constantly subject to. And that was certainly an improvement. In fact... come to think of it, where were his fellow soldiers...?
[/hr]
"Come on! Let's get moving!!!" , the sergeant ordered. The once listless provisions platoon was in an uproar , shouldering gear and collecting baskets of supplies.
The bear roared again.
"Come on! Before the bear gets here! My career is going to be cut short if we don't get these supplies to the front!" ,wailed the Captain, honestly more concerned about rank than he was with the well being of his men. And if the bear ate the supplies he was trying to deliver, his career would be truncated.
"Wot about Faravinn?!", one of he soldiers yelled back. "Do we just leave 'im to the mercee of a baer?"
"Faravinn's a grown lad! He can take care of 'imself. Anyways, serves him right for being such a loose lipped smartass! Let's go!"

"....?" He cocked his head, placing the cleric's kindly offer on the back burner as fell silent and listened for the bear. Were they all really afraid of a single bear? Did they not know how to scare it away?" Pursing his lips he glanced at the trees, trying to gauge how well someone could climb them, there were not very many low hanging branches to latch onto but the ones that were there could support one at a time with ease.
"Don't shoot it!" he yelped, "up, into the trees. If a bear is enraged like that she might have gone near her cubs and the Mummy bear felt fearful for their safety so she attacked. I know what to do..." Some people were so simple, they must have been the city types that he had been warned about, attacking an angry bear. Ha. What good would that do but get them tired and injured.
He stood drawing his sword and waiting for the bear to get close, everyone knew that you had to just yell at a bear and make yourself look larger than it to make it change it's mind about a mauling. Yet, as the animal grew closer he noticed that it was quite big, far larger than he had originally anticipated. Mumbling a quick apology to the pretty kindly lady he clambered up to her shoulders and seated himself there, waving his sword with both hands and yelling at the top of his lungs to frighten it away.

Aelia bats her eyelashes right at Lynessa at that order. "Okie doki, gorgeous~" She chimes, with just the worlds biggest grin as she goes limp against the other woman, barely hanging on to her as she transfers her weight all on to the manakete and tilts her head back at the sound of a THUNK. And nope, Aelia totally hasn't let go yet.
"OoooOOOooh, she's cute!" The archer will chime sharply at the sight of poor sylvia, who's done quite a dashing job at introducing herself to a tree before Aelia lets out a yelp as everyone jumps into action and Lynessa disturbs her spot. "Wait. Bear? Lynnie! It's your people!" She'll chirp, standing tall even as she unslings her bow from her shoulder and rolls her shoulders, one hand reaching back to her quiver as she flashes that smile right back at Lynessa. Also, she'll have to teach Aella about the Saint some day! With brochures! Do you have time to accept Saint Elimine in your heart today?
Aelia will take a step on up behind Faravin, who provides a wonderful meat shield for the party and the perfect example of not having to outrun the predator, but just the slowest one of your group. "Careful soldier boy." She'll remark cooly, pushing her bow forward so that the string catches his throat before Aelia puts all of her weight down and tries to yank Faravin over with a loud grunt. It's quite possible she's not going to be able to pull it off, even as she spins the arrow on her hand so she's gripping it almost dagger like. "Shoot a bear, with an arrow? To scare it?" She'll grunt, trying to pin the poor soldier to the ground if she possibly can. "It's a bear Lyniebear!" And, if she has him down, she'll plop RIGHT on top of his chest, because she's not trusting this guy to not try to stab the bear with his spear.

"This really isn't my day." Klain said as he fell through the tree banches each giveing a loud snap as the mans weight hit them. Ten minutes earlier Klain started a fight with an uppity Wyvern rider. things where going great until the bastered cheated and used his beast to pick him up. He stabbed the drake as they flew but now he was crashing through some stupid trees. Finally he landed on something soft and warm. Rubbing his head he looked around he found his sword. He stood up and saw three woman two boys and a girl. "What are you loot looking at?" The swordsman said hefting his sword onto his shoulder. He then heard a growl behind him and he turned to see a bear standing upright behind him behind him. The bear swung it paw and Klain blocked with the flat of his sword sending him end over end toward the group. Standing up Klain charged in again. "Now things are looking up! HAHAHAHA!"

Sylvia reeled a bit still from the impact of the tree, but after a moment more, she started to come to her senses again. Especially the sense of lying on her back and someone hovering over her and starting to pull her up.
"Don't worry, we are gonna save you."
Sylvia looked over to the voice's source, seeing a rather pretty lady. She somehow made Sylvia feel safe, almost like... No no no! More important things! Sylvia turned, pointing back towards the direction she came. "B... B-b-bear!" She shook with fright, obviously scared out of her wits.
A man rolled out of the brush and then a roar followed, the bear now appearing for all to see. It growled and looked around before stopping at the sight of the larger Rilcha and Aella combination. It froze in place before starting to back off carefully, growling still. However, with the presence of someone rushing in again, the bear stood up upon it's hind legs once more, swinging at Klain.

"I am not a bear....How should I convince you I am a drag-....a human?" Lynessa protested weakly. Aelia seemed to have hobby calling her Lynebear or just bear, no matter how much the dragon disliked it.
Lynessa had heard "more the merrier" phrase before but she wasn't sure she would like to have more people. Oh well, a mad man and a bear seemed to be a good addition to the party. She had given up going home by flying, by the way. Klain had made some impression, not bad kind of impressions but more like funny. The way he made his entrance created a small smile in her lips as she watched him falling rom the tree and getting punched by the bear.
Rilcha was right, though. Lynessa told Aelia to shoot her but she only meant it to scary the bear. She realized that there was risk that she would actually kill it. It might be alright to hurt the bear a bit if the pain could scare it, although it might enrage the big animal instead. Maybe the bear didn't mean harm. Maybe it was trying to protect its den and children. The boy then tried to prove his theory but he got scared and retreated, which was actually something Lynessa hoped he would do in first place. She didn't want him to risk his life like that.
"It's alright...Mr Bear won't hurt you," she whispered to Sylvia. Lynessa was always weak with cute creatures like Rilcha or Sylvia so she had become protective when she saw how much they were scared. "Big sister will protect you. WE will protect you..." she whispered again. She then stood up after giving the green-haired girl a gentle pat. It was time for her to act.
But first she would let Klain or Aelia did their part before deciding her next move.

Sylvia tightened her grip around Lynessa's waist, hanging onto her as if for dear life. The little girl was more than scared out of her wits. Meanwhile, the Bear weathered Klain's assault, batting him away with a heavy blow one final time before starting to turn and run back into the woods due to the perceived presence of both a larger animal and the daring swordsman's bravado.
With the bear gone, everyone would be free to start settling back down once more and perhaps making a bit of sense as to what just happened.

Lynessa wanted to help the others but Sylvia didn't let her go. She gave a confused look when her arms clinged around her waist. Maybe the bear had given the girl this much of fear, the right thing to do now was to stay in her side. She smiled and sighed as she put her hands on Sylvia's head and shoulder. The ice dragon just stayed near Sylvia in the rest of the fight, watching Klain and the bear pounced each other.
"You are bleeding....You should probably treat it first. Do you have some bandages or something? I could give you mine if you don't have any." The ice dragon showed her concern about Klain's condition. Being a nice and kind person sure was tough, she had to worry about everyone!!! Her arms were still around Sylvia trying to calm the scared green-haired girl. Poor girl. She could cry or hide on Lynessa's chest as long as she wanted. "Hey, it's alright. the bear has gone. See? Maybe it just tried to scare you because you were too close to its den or its family. Bears are....overprotective sometimes."
"Maybe I should be the one asking the question...I mean, you came in unusual way...Interesting but also weird, honestly." The ice dragon giggled a little before she spoke to him. She had to admit how he joined this little group was the most interesting, ranked in first place if they held a nomination for it. "Well, we somehow met in this road. We were just talking peacefully....maybe not so peacefully...." she stopped talking and gave Aelia, the woman who always teased her, a friendly glare. "....when this girl and the bear came." She then finished her sentence.
