The swordmaster walked into a poor village of the strong country of Etruria. Keeping her head low, she moved her way through the people like a ghost avoiding the living. Her right hand free, but her left hand rested on her steel curved sword. She was tracking another lead that somebody that he rescued in a battle was in this country, but she wasn't getting her hopes up as she kept walking. The track ran cold because the onl thing she was able to get out of it was 'A young swordsman who covers himself in black. That's alot of people now a days. Black was easier to hide in the shadows.' The feeling that she was etiehr being watched or that she was being followed was getting to her now. The blue eyes of the woman scanned the area and saw an Ally way. Jumping off the main road into this corridore, she would walk down it and fade into the one building's shadow. Watching the entrance, she would see two thieves walking into the area looking for her. Keeping her breathing calm, she would listen to what they had to say. "Damn, we lost her! How could we lose such a lady like that?", "Did you see that sword of her's? That was pretty nice if I do say so myself, I'd like to take that from her and make that m prize." Shaking her head, she would wait for them to move on so that their backs were to her.
Stepping out finally, she slowly unsheathed her sword as the scrapping sound was heard and they quickly looked back. They saw what she truely was in the term's of what class she was. "Oh no, a Swordmaster we are...AUGH!" Before the one thief was able to finish his sentence, her blade went into the man's chest. The corpse fell to the ground as she would slowly look at the other who had his knife out and was in mid lunge. His blade went into her arm. Biting her lip, she would take the sword and slice the younger male a few times and kicked him. He fell over scared, dropping the knife. He would begin to crawl backwards. "What do you want?"
"I'm looking for somebody, since your a thief you should know many things in this country, Ya?" The thief meerly nodded his head. Nodding her's, she would crouch down and would face the man with sword still out. "The person I'm seeking is my cousin, but he was rumored that he helped a young swordsman who wears all black. You know anything?" Again, the thief nodded. "Yeah, that sounds like a guy called Orcleous. It's said that he disappointed few leaders of the Crimson Blades and that they want to make an example out of him. That's All I know, I swear." Looking at him, she would nod at him. "Your free to go, but if I find ou tailing me again....I'll finish you off for good and not in the fast n Painless way either. Now go."
Not risking his fate, he scrambled to his feet and ran like a bat out of hell. Smiling to herself, she knew that he would spread rumors around the area that Orcleous had a Swordswoman looking for him. It was always good to leave atleast one witness depending on the deeds you were doing. Hunching back down, she would search the dead thief and taking a few of the items. A gold purse and a iron sword. Sliding the iron sword onto her belt and placing her new coinage with the rest, she would begin walking the streets again.

“This is bad”, spoke Orcleous as he held his right arm. Blood was flowing from it like water. A great gash ran the length across. The boy stopped for a moment and applied a vulnerary to the wound. Footsteps could be heard behind as men followed in hot pursuit. “Got to keep moving”, spoke Orcleous to himself as he walked into the main street. The bleeding had stopped, but the blood stains still remained on his cloak. People began to look at Orcleous with eyes of fear and worry. It was clear to the novice that he was drawing too much attention. “Best to ditch it”, spoke Orcleous as he unbuckled his cloak. He did not even bother to grab it. The black cloth hit the ground and Orcleous let it stay there. He was now wearing his crimson armor thought it did stand out from a normal suit it stood out a lot less than the black.
As Orcleous began t walk through the crowd he started to relive the horrible seen over again. Failure in the Crimson Blades was not acceptable. When he and the other assassins returned they were ambushed by their own men. It was not something they did not expect, but the attack was still fierce. Their unit fell one by one to enemy’s blade. Even still Seedle fought on valiantly. Most of the men were taken down by the fighter, but a blade to the back ended his struggle. His last words were for Orcleous to run. Orcleous suffered a grave wound on his arm, but managed to escape with his life. His armor he wore under his cloak worded of a blow. The glamour and glory of being an assassin had worn off for the lad. He no longer wish to leap from buildings and sprint through the streets. He just wanted to live. That was enough for him.

Alice was back to walking on the street when something caught her eyes. A figure in all black being chased. 'This might be the guy I'm looking for, and by the looks of it...it just might be since he dropped his cloak on the ground' Following close behind, she would follow him. After a while of following him, she would quickly move in at him and would whisper to him. "You must be the man I'm looking for and it also seems that you might need my help Orcleous. Go to the Ally way up ahead behind the Taveren if you want to see another day again." As quickly as she came, she was gone. Like a shadow, Orcleous was only able to get a glimpse of her long jacket tail flickering in the wind amongest the crowed. Hoping that he would take her advice, she was standing behind the Taveren with his arm resting on her sword. leaning against the wall of the building, she would begin to make plans of combat wise since the people that were after the novice was trained killer's, but she was better then they were with skill alone. A faint smile was across her face as she waited still.

Orcleous heard someone coming up from behind. His time in the Crimson Blades had taught him well. However the approach in the middle of the main street told him that this was not one of the blades. The Crimson Blades would never risk a kill in the open. That would attract the guards and cause trouble for organization as a whole. The woman walked up to him and spoke, but the word that stood out to him the most was Orcleous. She knows my name thought the boy. Still the situation was not one to question.
Orcleous turned the corner by the tavern. It was a good enough place to face his enemy. The narrow street made it hard for them to come as a group. The novice drew his sword and held it forward. He was ready to face his foe. The words of that man came back to him. “One does not truly live till someone else tries to take it from you”, spoke Orcleous as the assassins appeared at the end of the ally. Orcleous was starting to understand what the man meant.

Looking at either end, she would let out a low grunt as she pushed herself off the wall. Looking at the Crimson blades, she would address them "This man is under my protection. If you want him, then you'll have to try and get past me. Alice of Bern." Slowly, she unsheathed her curved sword as the tip of the sword came out, she quickly made the mad dash at them. Taking them off surprise, the thief jumped back as well did the Myrmidon. But the Mercenary that was part of the group fell to the cold ground with his throat slashed. With blood running down her steel sword, the Swordmaster would look at the remaining two. Picking up their Iron weapons, she would hold her ground as she lifted her sword as well to prepare for combat. The thief would rush in like a fool, but would end up in a somewhat same state as the Merc., body hit the ground as he stumbled forward. Her sword went through his chest cavity cutting the heart in half. As she moved in motion, the last swordsman took a stab at attacking her. Looking down at her arm now, there was a wound from the iron sword. Her blue eyes looked at him who was smiling for a bit, but it would fade away quiickly as she slid backwards on her feet and dashed forward again unleashing a flurry of attacks onto the swordsman. His body hit the ground with many wounds covering his body.
Cutting off their coin purses, she would toss one towards Orcleous. Walking up to him and adding the coins to her own purse, she would begin to speak to him. "First off, before we go further. The only reason why I saved your life is because you have information for me that I need about a person that you were with In Bern. Second off, the coin is their hit payment on your head. You keep that one and I keep the other two since I did most of the work. The Person I'm looking for is Victor Crowley. Said his trade is a Mercenary, uses heavy Iron sword's, usually doesn't wear slevees even in cold climates. I need to know where the last place you saw him was." Her sword was still in her hand as she waited for Orc.'s response.

Orcleous simply stared in aw as he saw Alice work. It was like the first time he saw Jya jumping across the roofs of that little town. It was amazing to say the least. It made Orcleous really think on what he wanted to do. He wanted to be like that he thought, but then it hit him. He had said the same thing when he saw Jya. Here he was now shifting what he wanted to do. What was it that he really wanted. Was it to be an assassin? He saw how that path ends. He was just about to be killed for failing a mission. Did he want to be a swordmaster? This woman who just saved him showed the glamor of the profession the same way Jya showed him the glamor of being an Assassin, but was really what he wanted. Making a quick choice and following a random path nearly cost him his life. Doing the same was not a smart move. Before Orcleous could come up with an answer a coin purse hitting his face brought him back to reality.
Orcleous stuffed the coin into his bag and looked at Alice. "Victor", spoke Orcleous as the name tingled something in his skull. He immediately thought back to the horrible sweater. No not that thought Orcleous. "Yes Victor the guy who...", Orcleous suddenly stopped as he remembered the last thing he saw. The scales and horror of the dragon.

Alice watched him carefully. She could see him begin to think as he said her cousin's name. It worried her a bit since he trailed off from the subject, lost in a day dream. Exhaling quickly, she would take the flat side of her sword and smacks the novice's hand. "What happend young one." Orcleous could see a bit of worry on her face as she waited for the answer to come out of his throat. If he died, she would want to see where his body was. But she was hoping that her only cousin was still alive.
If he was dead, then this trip was for nothing. Having fought so many battles just to get to this point. She knew that she had a few other people to talk to before making any rash thoughts. 'Reguardless what this one says, I still need to track down this Butorega, A Lisa and Butorega's twin sister yashi. Yashi would be an easier find since it's said that she's the main healer for Little Rock. A bishop she is, so I will have to tread carefully if I want information from her.'

Alice blade snapped Orcleous back to his senses. The boy snapped out of his vision of the dragon. "oh right", spoke Orcleous. "Well the last time I saw Victor we left him next to the castle gate. There was this dragon you see", spoke Orcleous. He was sure the maiden would not believe him. "A dragon attacked us and me and two others retreated into the castle. At the time it was focused only on us so we figured Victor would be safe. For a while it began to rip through the old stone structure trying to get to us. Then however it stopped. We think Victor might have something to do with it. As when we exited outside he was no were to be found, but his foot prints were located in the mud."

Sheathing her sword, she would listen to him carefully. Some of it was hard to believe that a person would go up against a dragon by themselves and even the though of a Dragon was mind breaking. But the truth is, there was reports of a Dragon destroying villages in Bern. Building's ripped apart like hay to the scythe. Nodding her head, she tried to hold onto what little hope she had that Victor was still alive. Thinking for a brief moment, she would hear people coming into the ally way. She made a rash decision and grabbed Orcleous's arm and began to lead him. Now weaving in and out of croweds, she didn't want the only lead she had so far to end up in the wrong hands leaving him dead. 'He has a long life ahead of him. A shame that he put himself in a wrong crowed.' Sliding into a busy Inn, she would pay for a room that had two beds in it. Grabbing the key, she quickly hurried him up the stairs towards the room that they now had.
Opening the door, she gently pushed the novice into the room and slid inside it closing the door behind her. Not sure if they were being followed or not, she wasn't taking any chances. Locking the door now, she would take a wooden made from oak and propped it against the door nob. Letting out a sigh, she would turn to him and look at him. "Tell me Orcleous, what was he like when you were with him?"

The maiden suddenly grabbed Orcleous hand and began to drag him off. He realized that she wanted some more information form him and their current location was not the best place to talk. The maiden quickly bought a room and rushed him in. In truth orcleous did not know what she wanted more to talk about. He really could not tell her more about the situation. When she asked him what Victor was like it caught him a bit off guard.
"Well Victor was brave and he was helpful. He saved my life twice when I meet him. The first time was when I tried to enter the village. Part of the cliff broke and I nearly fell to my end, and the second time was when the necromancer nearly turned me into a walking corpse."

Nodding her head a bit more, she would smile slightly as she thought that her cousin was a kind hearted soul. Walking over to a table, she would grab a pitcher that was filled with water and poured herself a cup of it and swallowed half the contents in one gulp. After a fight like that, she use to get dry mouth. It was weird for her since she was a bit happy that her tracking was finally paying off. It intrigued her when he said the one word. "Necromancer." Why would a Necro. be facing a group of people? she thought to herself, she sat down across from him still holding the cup in hand. "So he's a kind hearted man. One with Morals I'm prosuming. That's a relief to hear...*lets out a long sigh of relief*. Most Crowley's are like that, but it's rare to find one let alone befriend one. If he saved your skin twice, he must have seen something in you Orcleous. Well, since I was bugging you with Information. I think it's only fair I answer any questions you have."
Setting the cup down, she would take off her steel curved sword and set it on the bed next to her. Cracking her kneck, she would crawl up to the head board of her bed and kicked back. It felt good to sit down and relax on something as comfy as this bed. The smile widend since it was a very long time since she had a chance to relax on a bed. Traveling was on her mind and finding family was the mission. But since they were laying low for a bit, she decided to make use of the time to do such relaxation.

"Well I am going to have to ask", spoke Orcleous. "Who are you, and how did you know I was in trouble. I am wet behind the ears when it comes to being stealthy, but I don't think I stand out that much. How in the world did you even find me, or for that very fact know I meet Victor. I am sure there was no one there, but me, Yashi, and Lisa."

"Fair enough. My name is Alice Crowley. Victor is my long lost Cousin that I never got to meet when we were younger. I've been looking for him for a good amount of time now, almost 4 years now. As for the trouble part, I saw the description of you and the fact that you were holding your arm the way you were meant one of three things. 1, your being hunted down. 2, you killed someone and your on the run. 3, Something scared you to badly for you to stay and decided to run. Either way, I saved your life young one. The way I found out what you looked like was through a couple of thieves that tried to mug me. One was killed and the other gave me the information of you and a bit of the Why you were running from the Crimson Blades. And you'd be surprised, a traveling bard sung of your battle of the dragon. She gave some description of Victor that matched to what I've heard of him. So the best course was to find you. Which leaves me to find Lisa, Yashi and a Butorega. For me, tracking is a skill my dad gave me a long time ago. So finding you was a bit of a gamble since your not very sure if the person you need to find will be in one town or in a cave. It's the odd's you have to weigh out. For example, what are the odd's that that your follower's are outside of this Inn as we are speaking? a 50 50 chance to take. No one know's how fate will play her cruel sweet cards."

"More like a hundred percent", spoke Orcleous as he took a look outside the window. no one was in view, but he knew somebody was watching. "Still this Butorega fellow", spoke the novice. "I have no idea who he was. He was not with the group, thought I have to admit the name does sound a bit familiar." Orcleous wondered were he had heard the name before. He remembered something about a battle, but it was all so fuzzy.
"Sorry to cause you so much trouble", spoke Orcleous as his mind shifted back to his current situation. "If there is anything else you want to know go ahead and ask."

"1. Sit down, you standing there at the window is starting to make me a bit nervous. If there was any other trackers after you, then they wouldn't be waiting since it's just us on this floor for now. If you want, talk about yourself. What you plan on doing with your life if they don't get you, in time that is." She had a devilish grin on her face as she took out her sword and a smooth stone also known as a whetstone. Alice would begin to slide the stone across the edge of both sides of the sword. When she was done, she would swing the sword cutting the air infront of her. When the blade glided through the air, it would make almost a whistle like sound. Taking out the iron sword from one of the thieves she had killed, she would sharpen that blade too. It was a common straight sword seen near the wooded area's of the continent. Light weight, thin blade, small handle, no hand guard to it. Whoever made this sword knew how to make them since this blade was designed to kill first and ask question's later. It wasn't like a Killing edge, not even in the same league. But it was a nice design.
