"What do I plan to do", spoke orcleous as he moved away from the window. The boy gave a great sigh as he began to think over all the tings that have happened to him. He had spent so long on the road and spent so much time into following this path to becoming an assassin, but now it seemed that everything had turned against him. His effort to join the crimson blades and study under pro's has turned into a new problem that would probably hunt him for years to come.
"I don't really know", spoke Orcleous as he finally came up with an answer. "Ever since I been kicked off the farm I never really had a plan. I have been just wondering from place to place. Getting into trouble and finding ways to get out of it. I thought I might have found a calling for myself a little while ago. I thought I was going to be an assassin. Take out a few people pompous nobles and hope from building to building. You can see how that turned out. Now I have a bunch of cutthroats after my neck just because I could not manage to take out a target, but I guess I am just complaining. I made my nest with thorns and now I have to lay in it. Though I have to admit I am starting to understand what that Old man was talking about. You don't really live till someone else is trying to take that life from you."

Chuckeling to herself, she could relate to that saying the novice just spoke. Sheathing her sword, she would cross her arms and would speak up. "I know that saying pretty well, I use to be an arena fighter for a good amount of years. One day, I was just tired of doing senseless killing. Men and women, of all ages walked into that arena expecting to win and to have fame. But sadly, they left the arena ring in a pine box. I then made my travel's to Mark's town where I was serving as the Governor's bodyguard. He paid well, and I did that for another couple years. I recieved a letter from where I was born, The Serpent's Tail that my uncle and aunt in law were both dead. My only cousin was still alive, so I told the governor and he had no ill will owards me for wanting to see my only relative alive. When I finally reached Hawk's Ridge, the village was nothing but four walls, four towers and burning embers inside. Victor left a page with a few names on it, so I'm here looking for them. I came across you because of the Singing girl and a thief I let live. So thinking about being an Angel of death may seem grand, but take it from me Orcleous. It's not as grand as some take it to be."
leaning over now, she grabbed her cup and drank the other half. Holding the empty cup for a moment, she would then stand up on the bed and hop off to pour some more. Things started to calm down stairs as some would begin to make hushing sounds. Sipping the next cup, she would put her sword back on her side. The curved blade slowly was unsheathed. Tip aiming at the door, she waited to see what would happen next.

"Great", spoke Orcleous as he drew his sword. The novice did not bother to hide the sound. He figured they would know he heard them. Rather than face towards the door Orcleous instead moved next to the window. He placed his back onto the wall and waited for somebody to climb through. It was an old trick of there's. While everyone focus on the assassins coming from the obvious entrance the others would sneak around back and come up the back way. Easy way to get a backstab.
A loud band slammed into the door as two goons outside attempted to get into the room. They did not anticipate the piece of furniture in front of the door. As the struggled to get into the room a assassin pulled himself from the window. It was like Orcleous predicted. The boy did not waste even a moment. He swung his blade to the right allowing it to cross the window preventing the assassin from getting inside. The man quickly let go and instinctively jumped backwards. It was a bad move as he now fell down two stories towards the ground.
"That takes care of one of them", spoke Orcleous as he saw the man's head hit the ground. As he finished speaking two other men finally broke through the door. The first had an axe and used his massive weapon to split the dresser and remove it from their path.

Looking at the two foes before her, she would slide back a bit as the axe wielder saw many images of her since she moved faster then his brain could process. A few slashed came across the man. Standing back where she orignally was, her blade rested in her hand lightly as blood dripped from it. THe man looked at his chest seeing the many wounds that was inflicted on him. The brute hit the floor leaving one more left. The last assassin came and did a slash upon her. The last one had a sword. The blade slashed her across her abdominal area with blood gently trickeling down from it. Looking at her new wound, she would look at the man who had a smirk across his face for a brief moment which faded away when she had a death look upon her face. Anger filled her as she walked towards him slowly and calmly. Gripping her sword tightly, the man would attempt to attack her again but his blade was met with her's. Shaking her head, she would take her right leg and placed a well good kick at his rib cage making him stumble backwards. Using his stumble to her advantage, she jumped on the oppertunity and would set to work on finishing this fight. Taking a step forward, she would slice the mans chest. Then taking a step to the side and behind him as he went backwards, she would slice his back. Now with him going forward, she would step to his right side facing the Novice. Spinning her sword in her hand, the blade would be facing the man now as she would impale him through his heart.
His body stopped in it's tracks as his mind was processing what had happened in the matter of moments. Blood covered the floor and the walls as the two stood there. The man's body went limped after a while. Pushing him backwards, his body slid off her sword and hit the floor with a loud thud. Taking the steel blade, she whiped the blood off using the man's shirt that wasn't yet bloody. "They are messing with the wrong woman." She said cold and bitterly.

unbelievable, thought Orcleous as he witness the entire fight. At one point he had completely lost her movements. In truth it was a bit unreal. This was a swordmaster. The skill and speed was far beyond what he had expected. It was like the first time he saw Jya jumping from roof to roof.
"Amazing", spoke orcleous. That was all he could say.

Orcleous soon realized that things were starting to get really dangerous. Sure Alice was skilled in the blade, but staying in that one room was not going to work. The novice turned toward the open window and moved up onto the open frame. He looked down and saw a cart waiting at the bottom with a man standing next to the road. The assassins had planned for an escape which told Orcleous that they were probably more of them down stairs. He was not going to wait around to see what surprises they were cooking up for him.
Following the training he got from the Crimson Blades Orcleous pulled himself onto the roof of the inn. The novice moved across the roof and stared at a nearby building. The building was a good bit away, but Orcleous had the height. He took a deep breath and then sprinted to the other side of the building and leaped. The crimson novice flew through the air as he soared through the sky. His heart rate increased as he hit the roof of the next building over. Following the rolling technique Orcleous was able to land without breking any of his bones. He turned and looked back at the inn. "I hope she gets out ok", spoke Orcleous as he turned toward the next building. The novice left the city under the cover of night. Thread End
