Claire had traveled south in hopes of finding Christophe, Aaron had said some had went south and the others east. The young woman had found a couple of small villages with survivors but he wasn't one of them. She had rumors of a couple more towns further south that was able to hold more people, the problem was she was extremely low on supplies and gold as well. She couldn't stay in any fancy inn or even a run down one, if she wanted to have food to survive she would have to cut back on how much she ate and buy stuff with the worst type of taste as well. She remembers those days all too well from when her parents had died in the fire when her and Christophe barely had enough to survive, she was a big girl now she could handle this or at least she hoped she could.
Doh, she didn't think about it until just now. With how much money she had and she could barely afford to make it on her own, how was she going to support her AND her brother? Begging for gold was out of the question, selling off Ciel wasn't an option either so it had seemed as if she would have to get a job before she continued her quest to reunite her with the only direct family she had left.

As Claire was looking around town for somebody willing to pay her to work she was explaining why she needed a job in hopes of a pity job she learned something even better. Not too east of the village where a large number of refugees were at, she wasted no time getting Ciel ready to depart once again. Claire had pushed Ciel harder than she ever did, her stomach was filled with butterflies with the thought of finding Christophe. She had became more nervous and excited as her journey continued, finding her long lost brother was a dream come true.
The sun was setting, that did not cause Claire to slow down one bit. She kept pushing Ciel to keep moving, then she saw it in the last light of the evening. There had appeared to be a settlement in the horizon, there was still hope for the long lost siblings once again. It was dark by time Claire reached the outpost. She wasted no time tying up Ciel, she took off running into the town frantically looking for anybody that could help her search the refugees. She saw a women covered in blood leaving a building, she had seemed upset but Claire still ran towards her. She pleaded with her to help her find Christophe, she was in tears at this point. Based on Claire's description she knew exactly where he was at, she had explained he looked as if he didn't have much time left so be prepared for the worst.
"Christophe..." Claire whispered as her eyes began to let out a downpour of tears. He heard a familiar voice, could it be? No impossible! How could she be here now? He tried to sit up as he turned his head at Claire. It was true, she was standing in front of him, how did she find him? It was a dream come true for him, his final wish had come true. "Cli-" Christophe had dropped back down on his bed, both girls had rushed him. Claire dropped to her knees as her head dove into his chest, it didn't take long for his shirt to be soaked with her tears. The woman checked for a pulse, laying his arm back down she walked around the bed and knelt next to Claire, placing her arm around the sobbing girl. Both women were now crying, the nurse had knew this job was difficult seeing all of these people in pain and dying, but this was the worst thing she had witnessed. One sibling badly injured by the incident in Ostia, the other searching day and night for them, they finally reunite but it's cut short by death. Claire spent the entire night there crying for her lost brother, the woman spent most of the night trying to comfort the girl. Losing a loved one was always difficult and in this manner was just unbearable.
Claire spent weeks mopping around the town. She knew she had to leave, but in her emotional state she was not fit to travel. She needed to decide what she was going to do, she couldn't just return home just yet there were too many memories there that would bring back the pain of losing her brother. It was at this moment she decided that she would not return home any time soon, if not ever. She was going to travel Elibe, becoming the embodiment of her brother's ideals she would become the shield for the weak, the sword for the just. Anybody in need of aid could turn to Claire Labelle.
