"Oh her name is Luna", spoke Shugo as he patted her white scales. The wyvern nodded showing signs of happiness. Luna was still uses to other Wyverns and was not as excited as Eran's mount. "Would you mind sharing the name of your own" asked Shugo.
Suddenly Stark appeared from a nearby barn and began apologizing for being late. "Right on time", spoke Shugo as he jumped back onto Luna. "I say we should be ready to go now."

"Ahaha, Luna. A fine name, for a fine wyvern. This is Mika. She's my best friend, and a straight-shooting flier. She's never let me down."
As Stark approached, Eren visibly relaxed.
"It's all right, m'boy. Hop on up," he said, lifting the boy and setting him in the middle of Mika's back before gracefully swinging up and holding to Mika's neck with one hand, baring his lance in the other.
"Ready, Shugo? Let's fly. Now, our course is north-northwest. Follow the road, and try to be quiet. Surprise is key. When we get near, I'll spin my lance -- that's our signal to attack. I'll dive down, go for a quick hit, and then Stark, you jump off. Engage any fringe bandits, like a scout or whatnot. Try not to die. I'll come down again for another shot. Shugo, take whatever on you feel you can. If we need to, we can always pull out... But I hate surrendering.
I've heard five, maybe ten at most bandits, but my most reliable source, a pass over I did a few nights ago, gives me about four. Hopefully, that's all; we won't know though, until we engage the enemy.
Ready? Hold on, Stark."
With that, Eren pumped his lance into the sky, and Mika leapt upward, soaring up like an arrow, and accelerating until the town looked as if it was made of small rocks and pebbles.
"WAHAHA!" Eren shouted. He loved flying.

As if like a sack of potatoes he was quickly picked and suddenly tossed onto the back of the giant wing beast. The man wasted little time explaining the plan to the two and for the most part it was a solid one. Thu he was a bit worried about the part of him storming the ground himself. Then again he this say as a scout, which mean mainly hit and run fighting. That was something he could do and mostly like keep him alive. Reacting the Eren words Stark took hold of what ever he could as Mika quickly took off. He couldn't help but let out his own shout. It was his first time flying and he wasn't so sure if he liked it.

Shugo took to the sky like so many times. He could not help but crack a smile as he felt the wind blow around him. He always enjoyed flying. There was something about feeling the wind in his hair and the thrill of being in the air. Most kids around his age would not understand the feeling. They were confined to the ground. Flying a wyvern was something everyone should experiences once in their lives thought Shugo.
The wyvenr rider began to turn his attention the the ground. He did not want to miss their target because of his excitement. Shugo stared from above like an hawk looking for prey. Shugo was ready to spill some bandit blood. He was going to show them the consequence of their actions.

"Okay back there, Stark?" Eren yelled. "Hold on, we'll be there soon!"
After a good ten minutes airtime, Eren noticed a few small glows on the ground in front of them.
"There," he thought in grim anticipation. "Boy, I sure hope this kid is ready... It'll be good to see him in action."
As the two wyverns approached the torchlight, Eren counted one... two... three... four... five. "Damn," he thought, "a bit more than I hoped for. Nevertheless."
Eren spun his lance, steeling himself and preparing to descend. "All right, Mika," Eren said firmly. "Give them the Needle!"
Mika gave a soft screech in answer, and tucked her wings in, dropping straight down toward three of the bandits. As they fell, Eren pointed toward a lone bandit in the front, showing Stark a target for him to take on.
"When I say jump, you jump, okay, Stark?" Without waiting for an answer, Eren focused as the ground approached. He readied his lance, and as the ground was three... two...
"JUMP!" Eren yelled, giving Stark a hearty push off the side. With any luck, the kid would land on his feet and take the scout by surprise. Mika meanwhile had pulled up, and Eren stabbed his lance down, aiming for a bandit's meaty head as they shot along over top of the brigands.
With a meaty thunk, his lance passed through the bandit's arm, the shaft of the lance pulling the bandit to the ground before the brigand slipped off, howling in pain.
"Shoot," Eren said wryly. "Missed the bull's-eye. Hyah, Mika, let's swing by again!
Mika screeched loud, sending the eerie sound through the crisp night air as she banked and began closing on the wounded bandit.

If felt as if he were holding onto for dear life on the back to the dragon as it flew through the air. For what ever reason he felt it was going to be a much smooth ride, it was not! At least to him. He was thankful he was not the type to easily get seasick as the feeling was much like that of a boat. However, the ride would not last much longer as the slight of glowing torches from below could now be seen. Stark could also hear a few words from Eren, but not all. He wasn't used to the high wind making it a bit difficult to hear. But one word did stand out: Jump!
With that one word Stark knew what was about to happen and it didn't mean he had to like it. Yet it had to begin wreathe he liked it or not. As they began dropping down Eren quickly pointed out his target, he could only guess it was what he was doing. Then just as quickly he would hear the shout "Jump" followed by a hard push. Thankfully he were ready and leaped from the beast back. He would tuck and roll quickly raising up slashing the first bandit deeply across the chest before trusting his blade through the second chest. Within seconds the two would fall as Stark slow stepped back feeling a bit of warm liquid upon his face.
If it haven't been for the surprise attack he doubt it would have been so easy. However, stilling feeling the adrenaline flowing through his body Stark quickly hurried to the down bandit that Eren had attack. Without hesitation he slab his blade once more into another man chest, but it was to late. His shout was without doubt heard by the others. With that Stark quickly hopped into the shadows.

As Shugo laid eyes on the target he placed on his helmet. He enjoyed having the wind in his hair, but head protection was the most important thing at the moment. Who knows how this battle would turn out. He might end up taking a blow from the back. He needed to at the very least have his head protected. Shugo took a deep breath and sent his wyvern into a dive. The white wyvern pulled in its wings and fell like a missile. Shugo picked the man at the back of the brigand's line. Taking out their rear guard would make the group more vulnerable plus destroy a bit of their moral.
At the last possible moment Luna opened her wings and let out a deathning screech. The sound caught the brigands off guard as Eren's spear slammed into his target. Shugo's lance as not far behind. The boy's dragon spear ripped through the rear guards arm as the wyvern flew by. shugo had aimed for his chest, but the screech had alerted the man before he struck. Not getting the kill was a high price to pay, but sending a shock wave of fear into the enemy was worth the trouble. The wyvenr rider did not even bother to stop. He instead swooped around in preparation for another attack.

The skinny Axe-Fighter waited in the snowy-grass for the five bandits to get near. He had taken the job from a local inn keeper that complained of a small band of bandits roaming the fields a few miles from his inn. He was promised a decent reward along with medicine for his aching burns, even though he was out-numbered he could easily take on five brigands if he had the element of surprise. However, to his dismay a screech from a wyvern sounded from up above. A sound he knew well. He popped up from his grassy hide to see the two wyverns and a boy attack the rear bandits... He wasn't one to be left from a fight either, jumping from the hide to surprise the lead bandit, cleaving him across the chest with his bern military issued axe. He'd hope the others would see him as a friendly combatant, but kept his ears open for anoother diving screech. He finished the first bandit off with a sickening thunk as his axe buried itself into the brigand's skull, simultaneously the rear bandit fell to the combined effort of the wyvern riders.
Come you currs, face my axe!

"Mika, now!" Eren urged, and the wyvern dove, accelerating as Eren stowed his lance on his back and grabbed his axe. As the ground approached, Mika banked right and swung her tail left, knocking a bandit over. As they turned, Eren poised himself and leaped off of Mika, slamming his axe through the bandit's chest and cleaving it clean in two. Mika meanwhile had risen back into the sky, but let out a worried yelp. Looking up, Eren saw a scary sight indeed - six more bandits emerging from the small wagon, closing fast with axes drawn.
"Dammit! Shugo, Stark, stay wary! Here come more!"
Just then, a skinny bandit emerged, and attacked one of the brigands. Completely confused, but in the rage of battle, Eren charged the man, giving him a clout with the flat of his axe, hoping to knock him over.
"Who are you, brigand? Answer sharp or I'll finish you right here and now, make no mistake!"

Surprisingly, Marric managed to use his speed to bring his axe's handle to lock to the knight's. He gritted his teeth, the other man was a bit stronger, but he wouldn't give up.
Check your eyes old man. I'm no brigand. He'd suddenly release the lock between the axes and side step away to cleave through a bandit charging for the dismounted knight.
And would a bandit have such a finely crafted bern-made axe? He'd state simply, leaving his back open to the man if he was still set on fighting him.

"Here he comes again", shotued the rear guard as he pulled back on his axe. He was prepared to swing his axe as Shguo passed, but the blow on his right arm caused him to pause. That was a mistake he would not get a chance to recover from. Shugo mount flew in at full speed and this time the boy was able to plant his spear in the center of the brigand's chest. The bandit did not even have a chance to scream as he fell to the ground dead.
"Why you", shouted another Brigand as he charged in with his axe. Luna quickly turned and hit the man with her tail. Shugo decided that it would be best to hop off his mount. He had experiences fighting on the ground and swooping in to attack would prove to be difficult with the bandits now so close.
Luna assaulted a brigand with her fangs and claws as Shugo rushed in behind her. As the the bandit took a swing at Luna the wyvern took to the sky. The mount held the brigan's eye as Shguo rushed forward and stabbed the brigand in the knee.
"Ahh my knee", shouted the man as Shugo ripped the spear out. The brigand took a swing at the boy, but there was no real power behind it. Still Shugo jumped back as if there was. He could not be sure how storng his opponents was. Rather than rush forward and finish him off himself he allowed his mount to finish the job. As he stared at Shugo Luna fell upon him sinking her claws and teeth into his flesh.

"Hrrgh!" Eren said as the thin brigand, surprisingly strong, blocked his axe.
But then his words rung true; that axe was Bern-issue, from his time, when they were under Ilian leadership. Not a rebellion axe. But why a former Bern-Ilia soldier out here? No matter.
Eren whistled to Mika, watching her swoop down toward him. Leaping and grabbing her neck, Eren shouted to the skinny man as he was lifted into the sky "Don't die, I'll talk to you afterward!"

As will I. Marric spit, this was his job, who were these people? And why had this man brought mere children with him? He wore the armour of a Bern Wyvern Knight, similar to that of his father's... Marric would definitely be alive at the end to get answers to these questions. For now, however, there were more brigands charging down the hill at the three mercenaries still on the ground, and Marric was not yet content with how much bandit blood had drenched his axe.
He left the few remaining bandits to the children as they seemed to be handling themselves well for now, and blew a sharp noted whistle at the soaring rider in the sky. He'd learned this from his father, it would surely reach the man's ears, if not the wyvern would pay attention to it. He pointed his axe forward and charged toward the bandits with a intimidating roar.

"Hahaha, let's get'm, Mika!" Eren exulted as they soared upward. He patted her affectionately, and switched weapons yet again as they began a spiraling descent. Suddenly, a piercing whistle cut the night air, which caused Eren to spur Mika to quickly pull out of the dive, instead banking down, preparing for a strafe.
"So the skinny guy IS from Bern, huh. I haven't heard the 'assist me' signal in years... Well, let's help him out, girl!" Mika gave a quick growl in agreement, and Eren blew a long, low note followed by a quick, short, and high 'C.' Mika tucked her wings in, and Eren held his lance out as they shot by the left-most brigand of the group, impaling him on Eren's lance before Mika flapped hard and began to gain altitude again. However, Mika gave a frantic yelp, and Eren saw a second bandit holding onto her tail and climbing toward him. Eren smiled and sheathed his weapon, waving to the bandit before gripping Mika's neck tightly. The wyvern suddenly dove forward, flipping upside-down briefly and then rolling to right herself. Eren laughed as he watched the brigand go sailing off like an arrow, arcing gently before smashing into the ground in front of the other bandits.
"WHO'S NEXT?!" Eren roared, followed by a menacing and deep roar from Mika. The two shot aloft again, Eren watching for his next opportunity.

Marric was in combat with one bandit as his friend in the sky significantly lowered his work load. The bandit he was facing turned to watch the screaming projectile of his buddy slam into the ground. Marric was angered by such inattention to the fight and made the bandit suffer dearly for it. He raised his axe high above his head and leaped to add extra force when he slammed his weapon into the brigand's skull.
The now dead brigand went limp, a death grip on the shoddy axe he wielded. Marric pulled his blade out of the gored skull and let the body fall. He roared in victory and went forward to face the next Brigand. With his friend in the sky, his odds seemed much higher than they were. Unfortunately, the next brigand brought a friend, and Marric now faced two opponents. He brought his axe to his chest with two hands and began singing a battle hymn in hopes of defeating the two before him.
Hurry down, hurry down, hurry down he chanted as he met the bandits. The first taking a wild swing to Marric's right shoulder. He hit it away with his own axe, and kicked the man away, turning to face the other one.
Caravan's ye tore asunder his chanting continued. The bandit Marric faced tried a similar approach as his partner, swinging horizontally to decapitate him. Marric ducked under the poor swing, and brought his own axe up to bash the man's jaw. The man was sent sprawling back as the other bandit regained his footing and charged for marric again.
Axes clash, hear claps of thunder! Marric waited for the man to get close enough as he changed position to where the other bandit was at his back. The bandit behind him saw this opportunity and moved to strike him in the back. As soon as the charging bandit swung downward at Marric's head, Marric side stepped and let the axe dig into the other bandit's skull.
Like fools, ye kill each other! Marric swung his axe horizontally to end the surprised bandit who had just killed his comrade. The axe hit the man on his neck and dug deep, killing the brigand instantly. Marric's short chant stopped, and he took a short breath of relief.
