"Oh, boy. This is a damn-fool idea, but..."
Smiling, the Dragon Knight spurred Mika and the two rose up out of the forest like a hurricane, the wyvern blasting towards the very front gate like an arrow. As they approached, Mika gave a ear-rending roar, a mixture of banshee screech and lion growl that caused many of the men to cower as the large black wyvern descended on them, moving fast. Eren held a spear in his right hand and the red flag in his left, and as they flew by the gates, Mika slowed and Eren slammed the spike end of the flag above the gate, too high for any bandit to take out.
"Go! Go! Go!"
Mika accelerated again and Eren swiveled to view the fort as they shot upward, out of the range of any archers. It was open inside, and looked fairly organized. He didn't see many reserve troops, though, so that was good. The Dragon Knight slowly descended and readied himself to strike, spear in hand.

Friedrich witnessed from the ground as the Dragon Knight soared up from bravely planting the flag and returned to higher altitude. "What a damned fool getting that close to plant a flag....I like it.", mumbled the deputy. Friedrich knew it was only a matter of time before the spotters on the ballista would range in on that flag and begin firing those massive bolts into the fort. They'd be stupid to stay inside all nicely framed up for the artillery to rip them to shreds. If they didn't want to play catch with ballista bolts, they'd come running out of the fort to try to find a better position or even try to press into the field and outflank Darius in the woods. They might not have many troops left there, but enough reserves to make a difference where it counted. "Come on, Darius, you pompous ass. You're supposed to be driving them south into open ground." Friedrich was growing impatient, but at least watching the ballista rain down on the fort would be a little amusing. "Ready yourselves. If any good number of those poor bastards come running down that hill into the fields towards us, we're riding to meet them", he commanded.

In the fury of the hunt, the archers atop of the towers focused all of their attention on the wyvern knight swooping in and out of their formation. It was utter chaos for them as someone who could actually fly with some sort of acrobatic ability shredded into them. Not only were they found out, but they seriously risked being overtaken. A whiz was heard in the air and a devastating crash completed it as one of the tops of the four corner towers was obliterated in a violent clash. The small group of men on top plummeted to their deaths or were killed instantly. A small sacrifice to pay as the archers in the other towers left their posts, making their way towards "safe" ground.
What met them and many others were a small band of cavaliers and soldiers. The shining armor of one of the foot soldiers caught their eye. "Oi! Aye! We surrender! This ain't worth it! Just get us out of here!" they beckoned, dropping their weapons and raising their hands. One of the men even pulled out a foot-wrap out of his pocket and waved that in the air.
--
Back at the ballista, the men laughed as to what they could see. Another day on the job. They figured they'd may as well use what they had - less to carry back. It'd also expedite anyone not wanting to leave. Good thing, too.
--
Lucien charged his way towards the surrendering troops with his lance forward. He made sure they weren't trying anything suspicious and tossed them back to the cavaliers by their belts. The noble wasn't going to play around when a rogue who wanted to test his luck could mean a knife in the neck. "Check them for weapons and escort them back to the road!" the Etrurian ordered in a loud voice. He didn't need to repeat himself when every second counted.
Motioning towards their axeman and Samuali, he pointed towards the gate. "Watch there for any fiends who may try to break out!" Just as he commanded the two men, he saw a burly plated knight and a group of four swordsmen charge towards the small party. "Herr Reinhard, get your men to get those prisoners out of here now! We need to battle!" the blonde man shouted, bringing his lance to bear towards the new threat. "With me!"
