"To conquer? Perhaps our goals are not so different. But do tell me how will you recruit men to your cause?" Lucius asked just before dropping off the last several feet straight into the ruins.
A momentary lapse in judgement saw him land and fall. His leg was hurt and his side split. He dug a moment before finding an elixir he'd kept. With a sigh he tended his pains. "I do know of one lad that I could sway to out cause. His name is Merric Lafay should you meet him. He has little direction but he looks up to me."
Lucius pulled out his maps and began rolling them up. Some more gently and caring than others. Precious documents these were.

Balerion landed to the ground, followed by Orys squinting his eyebrows. "I'll find ways. Recruit people who know people. For now..." Orys quickly drew his spear, placing it onto Lucius's shoulder. "You, for now, shall be my right hand man, along with being the major armorer of my future army. Consider this a high honor."
He grunted after the whole progress. "I need to get someone else to do the ceremonies..."

"Taking charge over me so eagerly?" He laughs. An empty laugh but a laugh all the same. "Fine by me. I have no desire to be a king. I prefer orders and execution of said orders more." After a moments more of digging Lucius stood up and walked out. "That is everything I need."
Lucius finally have himself a good objective look at the man. He was strong and younger than he was. He didn't look very approachable in his eyes but that could be his strength as a conqueror. It was strange but Lucius somehow believed given time he may be able to pull it off.
"Alright I will send out word for some changes to take place in out operations. However I will need you to tell us where everything is to be brought now. Where shall we work out of?" Lucius decided he'll need to be the one to raise the hard questions. Orys had vision but he didn't know how he would be in execution.

"Consider..." He looked around the desert while still atop Balerion. "This, our starting position. The start of the Durrandon dynasty. The start of a new kingdom. The start..." He slowly pulled his spear back from the man's shoulder, simply smiling a victorious smile to himself. "The start of a new age."
"Get some people of your own. Craft buildings. Barracks, walls, forts, anything you see fitting for the start of a conquest. Get visionaries. Architects. Merchants. Families." He widened his hands.
"And I will get warriors. Mages. Healers. I will get us the blood to fuel your arms."

Lucius crossed his arms as he listened to the man speak. The beginning of a new age, huh. Perhaps that is what the world needs now. "Perhaps uniting the villages of this desert would be a strong start. Certainly they'd be welcoming to getting some stability."
"Well, I'm going to get to work. A new age doesn't start over night." The two men's ambitions over lapped this day and from it could be born great. Or a new terror.

"The villages can do as they please. My ambitions turn outside of this desert." He let out a grunt, looking to Balerion. "Get on with the project, Lucius. I will send all potential recruits to at some point report to you. Get to your work on the outpost."
And with that, Balerion rose to the skies as he begun to fly away.

"This'll be fun," Lucius said to himself as his newest partner flew away. So much to do. He called Wormwood down with a letter. "This letter is addressed to Bonnie and her crew. So deliver it to the port." He let the hawk take wing and went back to his 'hut' and pulled out parchment papers. "Time to lay down a plan for the outpost. This can serve as training grounds as well."
He grinned madly at the thought. He would have his war. Not as he expected but it was coming. A barracks a chow hall, hmm, what else will they need?
He went to work on the well once more. It would be done soon. Then the real work was next. Orys can handle recruiting. Lucius wasn't good at that. Finding his kettle of tea was undismayed he poured a cup. How lucky.
