Kyle winced as Orcleous introduced himself to Riviera then had the nerve to tell her his name too! Did he even think that he kept his name for a reason? He had no idea who or what this girl may do with his name if she didn't like something he did. Merchants had a way of spreading bad news about mercenaries which could end a career instantly, or so he heard. She probably wasn't at all happy with him trying to to work for food, she was probably used to her chefs preparing all of her food into whatever she wanted, he wouldn't be surprised if she didn't know where food came from. It was surprising that she was alive out here, maybe she did know a little bit. But then she introduced herself again? Did she already forget that she did? "Um? You already said that?" Was she mentally okay? He swore he had a way with attracting people with something wrong in the head. It always happened; just to him. He wouldn't be surprised.
As they started through the woods he felt something tug on the buck making him slow down. He shot a glance over his shoulder and he caught a glimpse of Orc trying with a half assed attempt to carry the buck. He was trying to help carrying a nearly 400 pound animal with one arm? He was just slowing him down, He was probably just trying to show off for the girl. Why, why, WHY must he attract these kinds of people? He needed to calm himself down. Deep breaths, in, then out, in, then out. It felt like it was working. Then came the question. Rivera asked if they were friends. Kyle immediately thought back to all of the jobs that had failed with Orc there, the fact that Ingrid dissipated after Orc left them to the bandits in Sacae. So much bad. Kyle gritted his teeth a little bit before he spoke. He took a breath and was about to list things, right before he reconsidered. He'd keep it simple. "Nope."
He continued walking, until he fake tripped over a root, almost actually falling in the process, to pull the Buck out of Orc's hand so he could start moving faster. After a little bit he broke back into the overgrown path that he was on before, except somehow he had made his way much further down the path, closer to his father's house. That was a good thing, the extra blood from the buck was starting to soak into his shirt and make it warm and sticky. He needed to change it. After only a little bit more he came upon a clearing that looked as though it was cut from the woods by a god, the clearing had a river running through the lush green grass into a sizable pool near the edge and then continued off back into the forest. There were many of prominent forest flowers around the edge of the clearing. There were little areas that looked to be for training with multiple weapons stacked neatly at each area, along with a sturdy hutch that looked as though it was for animals. There was also a couple of tables out in the clearing, one especially thick one had a lot of marks in it as though things had been carved in it. And at the center of this clearing stood a log cabin that looked big enough to comfortably house 6 people. He was home. He moved over to the thick table and heaved the monstrous buck onto the table, it would need to be finished before it could be cooked into food. He stretched reaching towards the sky turning each way to pop his back as it was sore from carrying that monster. Suddenly he heard something, it was a low growling noise. Could it be? A giant wolf looking animal bounded around the house and charged toward the group.

Orcleous eyebrow rose as the work nope came out of Kyle's mouth. He was surprised by it. He thought the two of them had a good relationship, but for him to tell somebody else that they were not friends, he must have thought wrong. It bothered the mercenary. He could not figure out what was wrong. Sure the two of them only meet a few times, but he was sure they were on good terms. Kyle and him fought against the bandits in Sacae and even fought deadly spider monsters in Nabata, but now that they were in Lycia together they were not friends. Suddenly Kyle tripped, or at least he wanted him to think he did. The nomad pulled the buck out of Orcleous hands and then began to walk onward. It was clear now to the swordsman that there was most definitely something wrong. He had no idea what it was or where it came from, but there was some strife between them. Orcleous preyed that it would not hamper him getting out of these woods. He was going to ask Kyle for directions.
"Well it seems like he can handle it on his own", spoke Orcleous as he watched Kyle walk away. The mercenary turned and looked at the maiden. "To answer your question", spoke Orcleous. "The answer is no, apparently we are not friends". Orcleous lagged behind for a moment before he started to walk again. He still needed Kyle's help. However his attention was not turned toward the maiden. He was not paying attention to her much when he came into the clearing, but she did not really look as if she belonged there. "So what brought you into these woods", asked Orcleous right before the group reached the clearing.
As the group came into the clearing Orcleous began to understand where they were. It seems as if they were near somebody's home. Orcleous was not sure if it belonged to Kyle, or it was a relatives, but Kyle seemed to be bringing his kill here so he had to be related to this place somehow. Kyle set down his beast and began to stretch.
Did not even bother to say a word to us, thought Orcleous. He always thought Kyle was the quite type, maybe he was wrong. Maybe Kyle just did not want to talk to him. The thought vexed Orcleous more than anything. What in the world could he have done to tick Kyle off. He never remembered wronging Kyle in any way. In fact he remember only doing the lad a service. He never insulted or cheated him in any way. It was about time Orcleous got to the bottom of this. There was no better way to find out than to simply ask the person themselves. "Hey Kyle", spoke Orcleous. Before he could say no more a sudden growl came out from behind the house. A wolf, and a very large on at that, suddenly shot out from behind and began to assault the group. By instinct Orcleous grabbed the blade from his back. He may have just got his new sword, but he use to own a silver blade. In his last battle the sword broke, but his muscle memory still remained. Orcleous touched his blade ready to fight at any moment.

For some reason, Kyle being super quiet and replying with only one word annoyed Riviera. It was clear from her expression that she wasn't satisfied with just a "Nope" as an answer. There was a limit to rudeness. The self-restrain still stayed strong, preventing the angry noblewoman to shower Kyle with flame spells. "It's true they don't look like a pair of good friends..." she muttered to herself. Orcleous was far easier to talk with. The mercenary was pretty cheerful and talkative, completely opposite to the dark and quiet Kyle. "I see..." That was her only response to Orc's confirmation. Well, she didn't care much about their strange friendship anyway so she wouldn't pry further.
Her eyes was set to the front, not looking at the mercenary. Sighing, she tilted her head a little and looked at him. Rivi said, "I am heading to certain place for some reason." It would be a pain if she had to give a full explanation. She had decided not to say more about her destination and her reason to go there. Not now, at least. "I am not lost, by the way. I am not stupid enough to get lost in this forest..." she added.
Riviera couldn't hide her amazement when they arrived in another clearing. This one was more beautiful than the last! Flowers! Well, it would be perfect if that ugly cabin wasn't there but...maybe she could just pretend it didn't exist. She halted her steps to admire the flowers and only continued walking when her steed urged her to hurry to the river. Of course it wasn't be easy even for a horse to force the stubborn and overconfident mage to yield but Riviera was too weak to resist when the horse pushed her with its head. "I will sell you to a butcher later..." she thought angrily.
Just when her steed was about to drink, Riviera heard a scary growl. It seemed Kyle's buck had attracted a wild beast. Great! The girl shivered when she saw the large wolf. "What are you doing?! Shoot it! Kill it!" she shouted, giving the two men an order. It seemed she forgot that they weren't her bodyguards or underlings. She was very scared but she didn't show it in her face. The Etrurian wouldn't allow them to see her succumbing to fear. Just in case those two weren't reliable, she took out her tome and readied herself.

Riviera began shouting about killing the animal, ordering them to slay it, and Orc started to draw his blade. If Kyle hadn't been a bit preoccupied he would have told her to shut up. The beast lunged atop of Kyle, pinning him to the ground. To most it would seem like the animal was tearing at him, but it was really just licking him all over the face and neck. It was his dog after all, why would it hurt him? He'd hurt anyone who would try. After a little bit Kyle physically moved the now happy dog off of him. "Down boy, it has been a while, huh?" Kyle said affectionately s he scratched the giant dog behind the ear. "As you can see, this is my dog." he said to the others, not bothering to look at them. On it's hind legs the dog could easily pass all of them here in height. He loved his dog, if only it could speak or something, that would be cool. Deciding he wanted to have some more fun, Kyle picked up a nearby rock and tossed it, sending it flying across the clearing. He had never been able to get it that far before, he was getting stronger, that was a good sign. The dog joyously bounded across the clearing at surprising speed until it skidded to a stop, tearing up a bit of grass, and picked up the rock.
Suddenly The thick wooden door to the cabin burst open and out stepped a giant of a man standing at 6'8, carrying an arsenal of weapons with him. "Go put that grass back in place now." The man said with a deep gravely voice. "And who dares approach my clearing? I don't remember sending out invites to any local kids." He demanded looking at both Riviera and Orcleous. Kyle just meekly went over to fix the grass that his dog ripped out of the ground.

As the dog began to lick Kyle Orcleous gave off a sigh of relief. So it was not a wolf. For a moment there Orcleous thought he was going to have to cut the beast off Kyle's face. Still he did not ignore the senseless barking behind his ears and it was not the dog he was referring too. The maiden had taken to giving him orders, almost as if she was paying him coin. Well this was not the first time Orcleous had dealt with nobility and he was sure it would not be the last. At first he was skeptical about her background, but now it was confirmed, she was most definitely a noble. So what was a noble lady like her doing in the woods, only the fates know for sure. more than likely however she was lost, just like he was. Her pride got the better of her thought.
"So it is just a dog", spoke Orcleous as he released his hold on his sword and allowed the blade to fall back into place on his back. "That was a close one", he spoke. Him and Kyle were already on uneven terms, but attacking his dog would only make it worse. Still somebody had to deal with the noble at their backs. A mercenary name was his life and Orcleous had introduced himself. If he did not show any form of proper manners it could come back to hunt him later down the road. "See it is just a dog", spoke Orcleous to Riviera. "There no need to kill anything." As Orcleous spoke a tall man came out of the house. He was a specimen if Orcleous ever saw him. The man stood a staggering six feet and eight inches. He was far taller than Orcleous who stood only a meager five, ten.
As Orcleous looked at the man he felt a bit of pressure. The man's height was daunting and he spoke with a harsh voice. Orcleous could not tell completely of what a relation ship him and Kyle had, but from Kyle obedience and the fact that his dog was here he figured he was his father. Either way it did not matter. It seemed that he took offense to Orcleous and the maiden being there. "Sorry about that", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the man's weapons. He had a arsenal. It kind of made Orcleous wonder what his occupation was. Was he a merc or was he something else. Still this was this man's land. Orcleous needed to be respectful or he might just end up finding out how skilled the man was. "I meant no disrespect, but I got lost on the road. I figured I would take a shortcut and move through the woods, but instead got myself lost. While going through the woods I happen to meet Kyle and I pretty much followed him here. I was hoping to get some directions back to the main road", spoke Orcleous as he looked toward the man's eyes. Always look a man in the eyes, Orcleous father use to tell him. You don't lower your gaze for nobody. Orcleous followed that code even when the other man towered over him.

Riviera's face showed fear when the big dog lunged at Kyle but then she seemed a little relieved when it simply licked all over his body. It wasn't a wolf? But how could a dog grow that big? How frightening...She had thought the hunter would get eaten. Why should it surprise her like that? It could have approached them normally instead of charging like a hungry beast!!! Well, she couldn't really blame the dog, though. In fact, she was more ashamed by the fact she had realized it too late. "I still have a lot to learn...." she thought, irritated.
Still feeling a little agitated, Riviera gave Orcleous unimpressed glare. The blonde woman closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead with an annoyed expression. What would the other nobles say if they were to learn that she was corrected by a lowly mercenary? It would be shameful. Maybe this bandana guy was trying to calm her or something. After all, he had seen her get scared. "I know...I can see it very well..." she replied with sarcastic tone. The noblewoman almost mentioned how he had mistook the dog as a threat too but she somehow stopped when someone came out from the building. "Why everything is big in this place? The dog and now this man...." she thought, sighing.
"What is he doing? He should explain it the old man, not playing with grass and dog..." she thought, glaring at Kyle. Leaving the steed in the riverbank, Riviera walked to Kyle's father. It was necessary to greet him properly. She deducted he was the owner of the cabin, although she was skeptical about him being the right owner of this clearing. The noble lady believed this man simply claimed this land as his own without legal documents to back his claim. Of course she wouldn't foolishly said it the old man, in worst case he might instruct the big dog to eat her. "I apologize for intruding to your land, sir," she said, bowing her head. "My name is Riviera Mayfield. I asked that man for a good place to rest and he guided me here," she then explained, gesturing to Kyle.
"If possible, I would like to have your permission to stay here for a bit, at least until my steed get enough rest." To be honest, standing in front of someone much bigger than her was quite intimidating. Riviera kept her composure and tried not to avert her gaze from Kyle's father. This man might be from lower status but she had to show respect, that was how her parents taught her. "I can pay for the fee," she added.

The big man cocked an eyebrow as the little girl came up, bowed, and introduced herself to him, calling his son a man. ha. "Little girl, that isn't a man, that is just a boy. Though he had no right to bring you here. Hmm. . . it is obvious that you are a noble by the way you are acting. They all act like that and they can never fend for themselves. But you can stay for a bit for it seems Kyle brought home dinner." At that point he completely disregarded her and turned back to Kyle across the clearing and shouted, "So is this your girl Kyle? She sure acts like it with all that bossing you around." He then turned back to the other boy in the clearing who was trying to act tough by trying to stare him down, that was funny. He walked over and picked the boy up armor and all. "What are you looking at boy? Is that a challenge? You only hold eyesight with your equals." He then dropped Orc at this and pulled out one of the axes and hurled it across the clearing down towards Kyle, hitting the target behind him perfectly in the center. "If you had any common sense you would have followed that path the OTHER way. Did you think about that? Youth these days have no common sense. Kyle, get back over here, these are you guest's not mine, take care of them!"
Kyle sighed as he put the grass back into place, his dad was being himself again. His dog had torn much more grass up than had first appeared so he'd be here a bit putting it all back in. The others were trying to introduce themselves to his dad, that probably wouldn't end well. Suddenly he began asking if that girl that was trying to get him to kill his own dog was his girlfriend! "W-What! N-no, not at all. . ." He knew his dad was just trying to get to him, but it still worked. Good thing no one was close enough to see his face blush so red it could be easily be seen through his tan skin. Women were a sensitive topic with him. Before he could recover and put too much more grass back in he saw his dad go and pick up Orc before saying something and then dropping him. He must have done something he didn't like that made him smile. Suddenly though, a handaxe came flying from his father's hand right towards him. It was like a deer being caught he could just sit there and stare until the last second when he snapped out of it and ducked; The axe hit the target right behind him right in the center. He felt like just falling over in relief, but that wasn't so. His father told him to take care of those two. Gah he shouldn't have brought people here, he should have seen this coming. He still had no choice. "O-okay. . ." He wouldn't make eye contact with his dad for too long at a time, that was always a bad idea. He walked over to the others, taking his shirt off on his way over, showing the large scar across his chest, for the back was soaked with blood and was becoming uncomfortable. "S-so, what do you guys need." This was so embarrassing.

Orc stared in awe as the man had picked him up. It was the first time in many years that Orc had been lifted off the ground and to make things worse he was wearing armor. Orcleous had a strong sense of pride and confidence in his own self. From all the bandits, monsters, and other crazy things he fought little in this world could truly scare him, but now Orcleous was starting to feel it. The man looked at him and began to ask if he was challenging him. Orcleous wanted to answer back with a smart remark, but his instincts would not let him. His inner consciousness was far more tune to reality than his mind was.
"No sir not challenging you at all sir", spoke Orcleous. He was disgusted with himself. Why in the world was he talking like a whelp. This was another man. He was not a monster or a dragon. Why in the world was Orcleous so afraid of him. Well picking him off the ground with ease was one good point and the fact that he did this without Orcleous realizing he was attempting to do it was another. Still it did not require such sniveling. The man dropped the mercenary and then took out his axe. He then tossed it at the tree behind kyle and then began to order him to deal with them.
As soon as he walked off Kyle came up. Like a servant looking to obey his master Kyle rushed forward to deal with them. "S-so, what do you guys need." he spoke. Orcleous turned and looked at him.
"Well first of you can get me my pride back", he spoke as he stared in the direction Kyle father walked off to. "I think he left it somewhere over there. Second I might need a new pair of underpants, I think I just soiled this one." Before Kyle could say something Orcleous chimed in. "That was a joke by the way. I did not soil my underpants. However I am starting to understand why you don't talk much. Growing up with a person like that I can see were speaking your mind could be detrimental to your health. I know this is going to sound stupid in all, but do you by any chance know the route of here?"

Riviera had to use all her willpower to stop herself from laughing. She then glanced at Kyle, looking unimpressed. What a joke! The big man thought she was Kyle's girlfriend! Like she would date or fall in love with someone like him. Her boyfriend MUST be a charming prince with good look, educated, and had high social status and fame. The noblewoman only smiled as Kyle's father shouted something to his grumpy son. "What a rude man...a little stupid too, but I guess I should keep my mouth shut." The blonde mage didn't want to say something that might have a chance to make the big man chase her away from his land. But of course she would complain to Kyle about this, the ma-...the boy looked less threatening compared to his father.
Although she kept straight face when Orcleous was picked up , Riviera was actually quite scared. Not sure what had made Kyle's father mad but it seemed Orcleous would experience hell if he did it again, or maybe even worse than hell. "This's why I don't like associating with a brute. Enough. I will leave as soon as my steed quench its thirst," she thought, unconsciously starting to distance herself from those two. This man might be crazy! He even threw an axe to Kyle. Well, he actually aimed for the target but....it was unacceptable. How could he casually do something that might hurt people? Riviera started to dislike this man.
Okay....this was the worst! "Oh, St Elimine. Why couldn't I meet decent men in this forest? This is why I don't like commoners..." she thought. Orcleous had made a joke about peeing himself. Yes, only a joke, but she hated it. Did he find it funny to surprise a frail and pure maiden with his stupid joke? And the other guy, Kyle, seemed to forget that she was a girl! Sure, he might want to take off the blood-soaked shirt but the blonde mage hoped he could warn her beforehand so she could at least looked away. It wasn't her first time looking at a bare chest man. Riviera had seen how masculine her father, her brother, and also some of her friends with their shirt off. But Kyle? He was a stranger. She knew he had attitude problem but his last act had forced her to see something inappropriate.
"What I need? I need YOU to put something on," she said as she faced to the opposite direction of Kyle, blushing and covering her cheeks with her hands. "Are you brain dead or something? There's a girl here! Yes, me!" It was clear from her tone that the Etrurian truly disliked this embarrassing situation.

He was technically here to serve, so he would. The first thing he was asked to do was to return Orc's pride. Pride? He had none of that. He would Speak up on that later after the other requests were out of the way. Orc then next asked for a new pair of underpants, that baby. But he then said it was just a joke. He was still getting a pair of undergarments, although they would most certainly be far to loose for him. But since he needed to leave for those he would address the Lady's concerns. AAAand she wanted him to go put a shirt on. He had been completly oblivious to the fact that she was here and that women and, uh yeah. He was used to being around just mainly men, or older women that just didn't care, not someone his own age."Don't be afraid of your body, it is a beautiful thing. . . . But I'll go do that." Crap, that probably came out horribly wrong. She would probably now thing he was hitting on her, great. There was probably no way she could dislike him more.
Kyle turned around and went back into the house and grabbed a pair of undergarments and another shirt and went back out to them holding the cloths. "And what would You know about pride Orcleous? When we were all new you Left Ingrid and I in that village alone holding the head of one of a fearsome group of bandits, you failed at finishing you job then. And Ingrid disappeared, I haven't saw her since. And then there was the expedition where we fought the spiders. As soon as the battle was over, you along with a lot of the other mercenaries disappeared with most of the horses, ruining the expedition for those, like me who stayed to finish the job. What do you know of Pride? I've never seen you complete a job and every time I've had a job with you it's failed. Here is your underwear, they will be loose on someone like you though, and like my father said, follow the path out to leave. If you don't try to adventure you won't get lost." you know what? That felt good. It felt really good to get that stuff off his chest, almost as though he didn't dislike him as much, oh he still disliked him, just at least it wasn't sitting within him rotting. "So, Lady Riviera, what else do you need?" As he said that he realized that he still hadn't put his shirt on like she asked, so he brought his shirt up over his head and began to bring it down over his scarred chest, but it was a lot tighter than he remembered it, he almost had trouble getting it on. Had he really gotten that much stronger? Before he brought his shirt down all the way He took a look at his body for the first time since he left. There was much more muscle definition than before, especially in his arms, chest, and the abdominal area. Well that was one good thing that he noticed from this trip.

Kyle walked off meekly as ever. It seemed the noble lady's request had gotten to him a bit. It was a honest mistake really. Orcleous had forgotten she was there for a moment himself, which his joke about his underpants in all, but Kyle did not seem to pay much attention to her to begin with so he would not be surprised if he just realized she was there. As Kyle returned he walked up with a pair of very strange clothing. "Is that underpants", he mumbled to himself. He was sure he clarified that it was a joke and nothing more, but suddenly and without warning Kyle blew up on him. He exploded with accusations and slander. He spoke of Orcleous good deed of letting them keep the bounty as if it was a curse. He spoke of the expedition that went sour in the desert and tossed mud all over Orcleous good name as a mercenary. Normally Orcleous would let such words deflect off him. He received plenty of insults in his travels and has had his character attacked more than once, but something about this one was different. It was something about it that really got under the mercenary's skin. It was truly the fact that he thought he and Kyle were on good terms with each other. At one point he thought that Kyle was his friend, but now it was no more, the whole idea shattered. For a moment Orcleous held it together. Kyle walked over and began to talk to the noble woman.
"Son of a %^&*", spoke Orcleous as the damn of emotions snapped. "Excuse me", he spoke with anger and attitude as he turned toward Kyle. "You are mad at me", spoke Orcleous with both rage and disbelief. "You are mad at me because I gave you the bounty", shouted Orcleous. The mercenary was beginning to boil over. A flood of emotions started to rush to his face as Orcleous began to react to Kyle's accusations. "Listen here you cowardly little $%%^, I was doing you a favor! I left you and Ingrid behind with the bounty because I thought you two might get caught up with something from my past. I left you with the bounty. The proof of all the hard work that was done taking down a bandit. I left you with the coin maker, the thing that got you the gold and the respect for taking down a criminal. Do you understand what value that has?" Do you understand what it means to a mercenary to leave behind the coin he rightfully earned through blood and sweet, and you have the balls to be mad at me! Me! The one who gave you the bounty! This %^&*ing insane", shouted Orcleous! The merceneary was far beyond simply being ticked off. He had just began to understand the jester of the underpants and what it truly meant. Every second he held that piece of stitched cloth Orcleous rage grew ever stronger. Who was Kyle to talk about his work as a mercenary. Who was Kyle to talk about his pride. Orcleous been through a lot to gain his title to come where he was.
"You want to talk about work Kyle, then lets talk about work", shouted Orcleous. "I have fought the living and the #$%^ing dead! I have killed bandits, horsemen, giant spiders, and even &*()ing wolves. I have stood face to %^&*ing face with a &*() murdering dragon and lived to tell the tale, and you want to talk about me failing jobs! You want to drag my name through the mud as if you were worthy of doing so. Your are a coward Kyle, a coward! You stay behind the real warriors and shoot arrows from a safe distance. I fought the spiders face to face, man to man. I did not hide behind everyone else shooting sticks with a sharp piece of metal on the end! I was in there, avoiding the fangs and parrying their sharp claws. I fought like a warrior and even after that exhausting battle I went to chase down the horses that fled! Where were you Kyle! Did your run down a fleeing beast only to find yourself lost in a god forsaken %^&& hole! Did you have to fight off pirates in order to save a pile of white dirt so people can preserve their food! Where were you Kyle when that village was on fire and everyone was slaughtered by walking corpses! Where were you Kyle when brigands rushed the gates of Halton Village and death hung over like a cloud. Where were you when I faced down a ^&*(ing Dragon in the back ends of Bern armed with nothing but a iron sword and a $%^&ing ugly sweeter", shouted Orcleous! "No where Kyle no &^%$ing where! You don't have the right to talk about me and my pride", spoke Orcleous as he tossed the undergarments on the ground. "I don't need to hear that from a $%^&ing coward who does not fight face to face. Heck you won't even stand up for yourself. All you do is sit back and try to take cheap shots."
Orcleous had finished and he was not proud of everything he said. He was angry and anger brought the worst out of him. He knew Archers were not cowards and that Kyle had nothing to do with the battles he fought. However Kyle insult toward his pride and his profession as a mercenary was far too much. He could not simply take that sitting down. He had to strike out against Kyle, against something. Orcleous had already had his pride injured today. He was not going to have it shattered. Not by him, not by someone on his level.

Kyle's right eye, the eye with the scar right above it, twitched a little as Orc started to yell, this was going to have to stop, one way or another, because as of right now, Orcleous was no longer a guest to him, but a trespasser.
The front door to the cabin slammed open once again, and the head of Kyle's dad popped out, looking more than a little mad, son of a b!7ch implied bad of Kyle's parents after all, and he was one of those parents."KYLE!" Hes voice boomed across the clearing, "Just Kill that fool already! NO ONE tries to dishonor us that way unless they want to die." It was clear what HE wanted to happen. "Do it, or do I have to do it myself?!?" Scary.
"Excuse me for a moment Riviera. . ." Kyle muttered to Riviera as he turned back to Orcleous, walking right up to him leaving little space between him and looked down at him. "Are you stupid?!? There was no bounty on just ONE of the bandits, it was for them ALL, when we went to go give them the head and leave they were FURIOUS, they were furious that only one was dead and that they now had to deal with an angry group of bandits. They didn't give us anything! All because you ran off on a whimsy, chasing some fantasy of yours!" Was he truley so stupid as to believe that he did them a FAVOR there? Kyle could have just entered the arrow he had drawn into Orc' neck right there, they were so close he wouldn't even have time to react. But he wasn't done here.
"You dare call me a coward?! You go out on random things, not getting paid and you expect me to be there? Are you mentally retarded? DO you need me to spell it out for you? I've done that stuff and more. I've killed pirates on the high seas, I've slain, Zombies, Bael, more than once even. I've even survived on a deserted Island all by my self with nothing but my wit until I could get back to the mainland. Let's see you do THAT! And how the f**k do you get lost in a VALLEY right near the DESERT!?!? HM?!? IT is obvious that you Deserted everyone because it was starting to look bad! You are one of the worst kind of Scum in this land, ALMOST AS BAD AS NEAR." That last part slipped out unintentionally, but it was true to him. Orcleous would probably be better off as dead. "And you call me a coward for using a bow? This is a tool that takes skill, all you do is w, see that Buck?" He said pointing over to it. "That arrow could have went clean through your skull. CLEAN THROUGH! And you want face to face? Hand to hand? Then have this!" HE said as he punched Orcleous in the face. "Now leave this place immediately, unless you want to rot out in these woods." He said as he spat on the ground near Orc. He wasn't even worth his time.

Fantasy, thought Orcleous in his mind. He called that a fantasy. Orcleous nearly lost his life that day. When he left the group he was attacked by a group of assassins. The only reason he survived was thanks to the aid of a guardsman who was passing by. What did Kyle know? He was the one who started this argument.
Orcleous took the punch, he made sure to show that it did not hurt as much as he possibly could. "You hit like a @#$%ing girl", he spoke as he looked Kyle in the eye. Though he was not looking directly at him, he kept his peripheral view on Kyle's father. "I don't live in fantasizes", spoke Orcleous as he spit on the ground. There was a bit of blood in the spit, which surprised him. "The only one living in fantasies is you Kyle. For some stupid reason you think that me and that buck are the same. You think I am some frighten creature running for its life. I a warrior down to my beating heart. It is something a introverted dog like you could not understand. Before you try to match up to me grow a pair of @#$$s first. Apparently me and you have had a problem for quite some time but you were not man enough to say it to me face to face. No the only reason you have a slither of courage now is because your father is standing behind you. Just like a #$%^", spoke Orcleous as he turned and began to walk away.
"For now I retreat, I have no full notion that I can defeat the man standing behind you. Just prey the next time we meet it is not on a battlefield", spoke Orcleous as he began to walk the path toward the main road. As he walked he kept his ears open. He had no idea what Kyle could be planning behind him.

Kyle narrowed his eyes at Orc after he claimed he hit like a girl. "If I hit you harder you would either be unconscious or dead, and at that point you'd have to stay, but you are no longer welcomed here. And of course you are a coward, because I know you will leave here like a little bitch. And the only reason I speak up now is because I've FINALLY had it with that crap that you call a life. And I relish the day me meet on the battlefield, on opposite sides so I can put an arrow in your skull for good." He now hated this man, nay, boy, maybe even more than Near, either way he would get stronger and continue to fulfill his jobs, start a guild and grow it's power and reputation. Yes, nothing that bow could do would stop him, and to kill him now would be without enough reason to him. If only he had tried to stay longer. If only.
Kyle turned back to Riviera, "Ah, I'm extremely sorry about that, if you need anything don't hesitate to ask, but I need to get started on dinner right now." Kyle proceed to go inside and walk over to a corner, picking up a large metal cauldron, weighing at least 50 pounds, and carried it outside and set it on a tripod over a charred circle of earth surrounded by taller stones. He then went over to the shed and grabbed the sharpened axe and scooped up some logs in his arms.
He walked them over to a semi flat stone with a bunch of niche marks in it and set the logs down. He hefted the axe above his head and brought it down on the first log cutting it in half, he began to repeat the process until all he had was smaller legs for the cooking fire. He quickly moved the logs under the cauldron and grabbed a bucket to start filling it with water before he lit the cooking fire.

Hearing no more needs or wants from the maiden Kyle assumed that she was satisfied for the moment. Good, maybe he could get some work done. Well, mostly cooking, but cooking could be a lot of work too. He went over to the buck and began to trim pieces off of the neck that would be used in the stew, he cut off a couple of massive slabs before he set those slabs aside on a rock. After setting the slabs aside he took out his carving knife and set to work trimming the meat of all the fat. The fat of a buck was not good for the taste or the texture, but it could be used for other things so he set it aside in another nearby pot.
After he finished trimming the fat from the slabs, by some miracle managing not to cut himself, he began to cut the slabs into smaller and smaller cubes. Once he was satisfied with the cube he went and set the meat by the fire to cook in a large skillet like pan suspended right below the high hanging pot. That way some of the wood smoke would be kept in and it would still cook well without having to make a completely separate fire. The water was also beginning to heat up as well. After he checked the fire he realized he forgot something extremely important for the meat. He quickly ran inside and rummaged around until he found the important something. That something was butter. It would help keep the meat moist and flavorful with the lack of natural fat, it even looked freshly churned too. Yum. He also had another idea and began rummaging around, and of course his father had one. A soup bone. A bone that still held the flavors and seasonings of past meals, this was going to be good. He then dashed outside and put the butter in the skillet with the meat and the soup bone in the broth to help excel the flavor.
After he was satisfied to let the broth and meat sit and simmer He ran back into the house and grab a bunch of other vegetables and seasonings, noticing that his dad was laying in his bed, all sprawled out asleep. It was scary how fast that man could wake up and be ready for action. Anyways he took the seasonings and sacks of vegetables outside, dropping some seasonings into the pot as he passed, preparing to prepare the vegetables.
