After the meat and the broth were all set to sit Kyle went back to his station with his ingredients. He first set a bag with flour in it aside for when he needed to thicken the broth, then he proceeded to take the bag of potatoes out and spread them on the table. He then took a knife and began to tediously run the knife around the potato, separating the skin from the good part that he was trying to get at. He repeated this process until a good amount of the starchy vegetables were effectively skinned, once that was done he removed a hammer from one of the sacks and began to crush the potatoes until they were naught but a paste like substance. That too would be added to the broth to thicken it when the time came.
The next thing that came out of the sacks were the carrots. Kyle grabbed a large hand full of carrots and threw them onto the table, away from the now mashed potatoes. He once again took his knife and began to dexterously remove the rough outer layer of the carrots. It didn't take long until they were all skinned down and at that point he began to chop the carrots into chunks and set them aside as well for wen he finished the broth.
Next came the saddest part of the whole thing. The layered things that burned your eyes. Onions. He quickly peeled off the outer layer that protected the good parts beneath and began to slice away at it, mincing them into tiny pieces. Tearing up because of the strong smell coming from it. He also pulled out some celery and cut that width wise and set them aside with the onions. All that left was the others things used for seasonings.
Kyle then pulled an assortment of seasonings in jars out of one of the sacks, well, everything was in jars except for the garlic. He quickly crushed that into a pulpy substance to mix with other seasonings. He began to add herbs and spices to the pulpy mix, the most noticeable being, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and oregano. After they were all added together he began to knead the pulpy substance to mix it all together into a big bundle of flavorful goodness.

It was bad enough to watch two men hitting and shouting to each other. Riviera slowly left them, hoping to get some a distance in case those two would start brawling. She felt a little scared. Maybe coming here was a bad idea, after all? Some minutes passed and it seemed the guys finally finished with their bickering...sort of. Whatever happened or said between them, Orcleus just decided to leave. "Maybe for the best...Those two seems eager to kill each other."
The noble girl only nodded when Kyle spoke to her.
Riviera found some strange amusement in watching Kyle cooking, mostly because she wasn't used to see a guy do kitchen work. Although it wasn't uncommon to see a man cook but this was the first time for the spoiled noble girl to actually meet one. Her clear eyes fixed on the busy hunter, who probably didn't even realize Riviera piercing his back with curious stare, as she sat on a quite large log near the river. "Hmm...I must admit he knows what he's doing. It looks like he's used to this..." she thought. The delicious aroma in the air made her quite hungry. "Now that I think about it...it's time for dinner." Her original plan was to reach nearest town or village and find some nice inn. However, it seemed she had to have a change of plan.
Too prideful to ask if she was welcomed to have dinner with Kyle and his father, Riviera could only watch the hunter preparing the dinner. Well, looking at the circumstances it might be safe to assume they would invite her, right? RIGHT? However, no matter how hungry she was, the blonde mage couldn't stop hoping for better place and best meal to eat. The dish Kyle was preparing surely wouldn't be as grand as the dinner in her home. The quality of his ingredients was something that Riviera was concerned about too. Who would guarantee she wouldn't get stomachache?
Anyway, just sitting here was boring so Riviera decided to approach Kyle.
"You sure know how to cook, unlike most men I know who only roast their food at most. Where you learn it? Your father?" Riviera tried to make conversation.

Kyle just kept kneading the mix for a bit until the pot began to boil. He was just about to go over to the pot to examine how the meat and the broth were doing. It was crucial that everything was done right. That was when food tasted its best and when is was usually the healthiest for you as well. And for him his health was his life. Without it he would have no way to make money and money was how you got supplies easily. If he lost that then he would probably die. It was an ever going loop that would end up badly.
But before he could check on that Riviera decided to talk to him, and as the host he probably shouldn't ignore her. Or well, couldn't ignore her. She was a guest after all and he was supposed to act on he whim according to his father. And his father was usually right about everything. "Learn to cook from him?" Kyle said in a quiet voice. "Hardly. I learned more out of necessity." Necessity as in he would get beaten if he didn't cook for his father. It's been like that since he was a kid. "He can barely cook anyway." Anytime he'd eaten his father's food it was horrible. Even though it smelled good it always ended up bad, but his father seemed to eat it well enough.
His voice returned back to a normal level of talking then, "And this is much better than just roasting it. This adds a variety of flavors rather than Just meat. And the more vegetables and stuff you add the healthier it is for you." Stew was positively the best in that regard. You could have such a rich flavor with it and still make it extremely healthy for you. Just like what he was making, he couldn't wait to eat.
After talking to her for that brief moment he took the small amount of the pasted potatoes and mixed it with the flour and put it into the pot to thicken the broth into something suitable for stew. He then took the meat that was simmering, and everything else he had prepared and put those into the pot as well. All that was left now was to wait.
He took out bowls for everyone as he began to mix some yeast, flour, and other spices together and began to knead them. He looked up at Riviera as he did so. "Is there anything in particular that you want in your stew? Or biscuits?" Hopefully she wouldn't say something outrageous like gold shards or something. Sure his Father had a lot of gold but he would never let him use it for cooking. Not that he would, that was gross.

Riviera's left hand rested on her waist as she pondered, "Hmm...true. That scary man probably eats his food raw, just like a bear." It might be a little too much to compare Kyle's father with a bear and the silent hunter probably would be mad if he knew what she was thinking. Well, to be honest...that man had the ferocity of a bear. Keeping her insolent thought to herself, she nodded at Kyle's answer and continued watching. "Good. You already know that. Roasting don't give much flavor anyway. It usually just make the meat hot and maybe little burnt. Although I don't mind having roasted turkey sometimes." The self important noblewoman simply watched Kyle without offering any help. He probably didn't mind it, though.
"Oh so you finally invite me to have dinner with you and your father? Couldn't you have done it sooner?" she thought.
But now with the permission had been "officially" granted she had very slightly better impression of Kyle. The hunter then let her choose the ingredient he would put in her plate. Riviera considered for a second before she replied, "Well, I don't have anything particular in mind. Maybe just don't put too much meat. I always eat light." The answer wasn't entirely honest. She was simply a little afraid eating something prepared by someone who learnt cooking in the middle of a forest. He didn't put random weed in the stew, did he? If she wasn't very hungry she would have refused and left but her stomach forced her to compromise.
Riviera then realized that if he was preparing dinner then it meant it was already late. Great...It seemed she had to rush to the next town after this dinner. But it would be dangerous to venture in the forest in dark! The other choice was...No...she didn't want to....
"No way I will ask for lodging..." she thought, making annoyed expression.

Kyle looked up at Riviera as he kneaded the dough that he had. She had her hand on her hip like she was posing or something. What a strange girl. Why would she just stand like that? The only time he had his hands in his hip was when he was stretching or had his hands in his pockets. And she was clearly doing neither of those things. Was it a thing that nobles or rich merchants did? It kind of seemed like something that they would do so he would leave it at that. No need to ask about it or anything. "Of course I would know how to cook good food. All Mercenaries should, as well as any man." Not that he was a man yet or anything according to his father. But he was a mercenary. And she liked turkey roasted? He had gotten some of those before they were usually quite good or eating, especially if he had a lot of seasonings with him. "I prefer my turkey seasoned and with stuffing and gravy." Mmmm Gravy. Gravy was always an awesome thing to make. And the stuffing. . . It could be anything that you wanted. Although dried bread was his particular favorite. Vegetables were also nice too.
Then in response to his question about what she would like in her servings of stew in particular she just wanted less meat. Well, that really wasn't what he meant when he asked the question, more like what she wanted added extra. He thought that she would want something extra for sure. Oh well, putting less meat into a bowl was much easier anyway.
Hearing nothing that she wanted added to the biscuits he separated them into lumps after adding a few final seasonings and put them on a board that was varnished so that things wouldn't stick to it. After he did that he put them into the little stone covering of rocks near the fire that acted as an oven. He went over and began to stir the stew with a long handled wooden spoon. Soon everything would be completely ready. "Will you be staying for the night or will I be escorting you to a town? Although the closest one is hours away at best." If he had to escort her to the town he had a feeling that she would fall asleep on the way there on account of her being all fancy and needing her sleep and such. Either way it was probably going to be a hassle. But he HAD to keep the guests happy. Stupid rules.

Riviera rolled her eyes. "But men don't cook good food...Edible, maybe, but definitely not delicious." The blonde mage corrected Kyle but only in her mind. She wasn't convinced by his words, believing Kyle was only exaggerating. She usually was more blunt and eager to say what on her mind, maybe because her instinct told her not to being too rude now. If that talkative mouth said something wrong then something bad might happen. The worst case was being strangled like Orcleus...or even worse. "At least you have a good taste," she remarked when the young hunter said something about his preference.
They were probably around the same age or Kyle was one or two years older, teenagers. Not a man...Kyle's father was quite persistent about that. Either Kyle hadn't matured enough to get his father's recognition or that man had set a too high standard for his son. But that wasn't her business to meddle with. Better to remember to never call Kyle "man" for now. Hmm...now Riviera wondered if she herself had grown into a good woman or not. Maybe her father still saw her as a naive little girl.
"What a nice offer but I don't want to trouble you and your father by staying here longer...And you said the town is one hour away from here? I guess I will leave after dinner. After all, my reason to come with you at the first place was only to find some water for my horse. But thank you for the kind offer," she replied. "Also, its nice to know you will escort me. What kind of man...boy would leave a weak woman traveling in the forest alone?" she continued to speak, brushing her hairs and holding her head high. As cocky as usual. Riviera didn't see his offer to escort her as an act of kindness but as something he had to do.

Kyle arched a brow as he watched Riviera roll her eyes. Apparently she disagreed with or didn't believe something he said. Maybe she only liked her turkey roasted and was against other ways of preparing it? That seemed likely but then she also stated that he had good taste. Which meant that she also thought it sounded good? The signals she was giving off were different than what she was saying, unless. . . was she disagreeing with something else? But nothing else he said really seemed disagreeable. Unless she was against men cooking? But Why? Too bad for her. He ALWAYS did the cooking. It made sure that nothing bad was put in it. But he'd keep that comment to himself. No use getting her riled up. But he could reply to her compliment. "Thanks." Perfect.
While he waited for the bread and stew to finish he just kind of stood around awkwardly, before crossing his arms and leaning against a conveniently nearby tree. He had no idea what to talk about, especially towards a noble or merchant, although he probably should considering they had the most money and would be most willing to hire mercenaries.
But before he could try to start to talk she responded to his question, thank whatever power there was. But his answer was one that he might have expected. "It is no trouble for you to stay here, I guarantee it. You could stay in my bed, don't worry, it's clean. I could just sleep outside under the stars, as I'm used to." He figured that She would be one for cleanliness, so it was a good thing he cleaned he furs and pelts before he left. The bead was really warm, soft and comfy, but he was also at home by a fire staring up at the stars, so sleeping in his own bed didn't matter much.
As he was about to state the dangers however an aroma even more tantalizing than before began to waft around the clearing. Kyle took a deep breath through his nose, savoring the scent before he stood up and went over to the makeshift oven. "Dinner is ready." He said as he took the biscuits out of their chamber. They smelled so good, they had turned out Very well.
He took the biscuits and set them onto the table that he had been cooking on, now that it was clear of ingredients. He then took one of the large polished bowls and took it over to the cauldron of steaming stew and began to ladle the stew into the bowl, going out of his way to scoop less venison into it for Riviera. After the bowl was filled he grabbed a separate spoon from nearby along with a chair and set them at one end of the table for her, nodding, signaling that it was for her.
Then he went back with another bowl, this one for himself, when suddenly the door to the cabin crashed open and his father burst through it. The Man took one smell of the air before grabbing a bowl and pushing Kyle out of the way to greedily scoop himself some of the mouth watering food. "Elders always get food before kids." The man growled as he went over and grabbed a hand full of biscuits before leaving through the door again.
As it happened Kyle kept his eyes at the ground, not looking at him. Even though his dad almost pushed him over. "Y-yes father." he mumbled before his dad left, his face blank.
After Kyle's father left, Kyle took his bowl again and went to scoop some of the thick stew into his bowl. After doing that he also sat down at the table, giving Riviera her room. "S-sorry about that." His father always told him to be a good host but the man was making it so damn hard! Kyle picked up one of the biscuits and took a chunk off, dipping it into the stew, letting it soak of the flavors before popping it into his mouth.
"Mmmmmm." Kyle hummed as he savored the first bite. The meat was good, that buck must have feasted on the best of grains. And the rest of the food was good as well. It was surprisingly fresh considering that they were in a place in the middle of nowhere. Did his dad just restock? That had to be it.

"I bet he doesn't even have bedsheet." Riviera smirked and looked at Kyle with condescending eyes. The blonde mage had actually decided to part ways with her super luxurious life when she had resolved to leave Etruria but it wasn't as easy as she imagined. Completely the opposite of her plan to pick any inn with fairly normal price, she had always ended up insisted to with the best the towns could offer, which usually also the most expensive. She didn't even recognize her failure as she only thought about having warm and comfy bed with bedsheet now. "To be honest...I am not comfortable staying in a hut in the middle of the forest with two strangers. Say...he might be a good person but I don't know him enough to trust this man that much." she thought. Riviera had heard what happened some people who too trusting so she didn't want to make the same mistake they did.
"Thank you but I must refuse...again. Maybe next time," she then refused for the second time. Riviera then wondered if she should help him, brushing her blonde hairs gently, as she watched Kyle busying himself with the preparation. Nah, he was the host so he should do all the job. Besides, the mage just didn't want to get dirty.
Riviera was sitting herself on the chair when Kyle had to endure his father. The lady's brows furrowed as she watched such brutish moment. It seemed someone needed to find a new father. She looked at Kyle, almost pitying him for not having stomach to stand up against his father. Sure, raising his voice to the one who had raised him would look very very bad but one or two protests wouldn't hurt their relationship too much. "Sigh...I am glad I have a nice and gentle father, although maybe a bit pushy."
The food didn't look half bad, the stew had only a little portion of meat as requested. It took a few seconds for Riviera to prepare herself for the first bite. She first prayed to St. Elimine, thanking the holy saint for her blessing in the form of this food and asking her protection from poison, before dipping her spoon into the stew. The noblewoman expression did softened a bit when she tasted the stew. It was rather bland compared to the food she usually ate but well-cooked and savory. When Kyle wasn't looking, Riviera stared at him and put a warm expression for the first time since they had met. The hunter managed to get her approval although it wasn't much, but he already did better than most people.
"Say...Maybe it's not my place to speak. But don't you feel angry when your father pushed you?" Riviera had took a peek from the corner of her eyes to make sure that huge man couldn't listen to their conversation. The door seemed closed tight and there weren't any shadow on the window. "But you weren't much different from him when you argued with the bandana guy. I guess you inherit his temper, after all."

Kyle simply shrugged as Riviera refused his offer to stay again. He was going to be up all night traveling at this rate. He always seemed to be getting caught in situations like this, Oh well, being a good host demanded this of him. The route they were going to travel was one that he traversed many times before so hopefully everything would go well and more people wouldn't just appear in the middle of the forest. For some reason people tended to do that sort of thing. Pop up out of nowhere that is. It must be because so many people are trying to become adventures or something like that. Maybe that meant that there would be more people going out and dying? Or Maybe that meant more people helping out around?
He sat there eating for a bit, scooping the filling stew into his mouth and dipping chunks of the biscuits into the hearty broth and eating those as well. It wasn't the best he'd made, considering it was on the fly and everything and not in the least bit prepared beforehand like most meals were. But the meat turned out amazingly. He would definitely have to turn some of it into Jerky. Yeah some Jerky made from it would be good, Especially from the flanks of the Buck. The only problem was that he'd have to stay around his Father longer to make it. Oh the dilemma to get a good thing. He could bear it though. He's bore it for most of his life, a few more days wouldn't kill him. Would it?
Kyle looked up from his food and cringed when Riviera asked him if his father pushing him around made him angry. He looked to make sure his dad wasn't looming around before he spoke back to her in a low voice. "He's my father, I can't do anything. Not to mention he is the best fighter I've ever seen. He is adept in all forms of martial weapons." He took another mouthful of stew as she asked another question. This time about Orcleous. He didn't look directly at her but instead at the ground. "No. . . It's not like that. That ma- child" He caught himself there. "Has caused me to go hungry many nights do to his sheer incompetence. His presence alone has caused three jobs I was doing to fail. And he always keeps showing up. Even here out in the woods when I am close to home. He must have been doing it on purpose."
He finished his bowl of stew pretty fast after that and looked back at her. "Was the food to your liking? Would you like some more?" Even if she wasn't finished with her first bowl he should still ask if she wanted more before he got another bowl himself.

Riviera noticed that Kyle felt somewhat disappointed or displeased by her refusal to say. What? He didn't fall for her and hope to have some chance to flirt at night, did he? She should prepared some fire spell to roast him alive, just in case....Anyway, the noble mage already set with her decision to depart after the dinner. The city was pretty close and it wouldn't take too long to reach the city. Sure, Kyle would have longer trip since he had to get back to this hut after he escorted her but Riviera failed to notice that. He wasn't really complaining about it, after all.
"Well, I guess I wouldn't talk back too if I were to be in his position." Riviera continued to enjoy her stef and sometimes took some of the biscuits. It wasn't as sweet and soft as she liked but good enough. This seemed to surprise Riviera a bit. She didn't expect herself would be impressed by a peasant's cooking, although he still had a long way to go before she would say "delicious". Maybe the hunter wasn't lying when he said he knew how to cook good food. Judging from his words and tone, it seemed the bandana guy had made bad impression to Kyle. Strange. She couldn't felt the hostility when they had encountered each other in the forest before. But did Orc really keep showing up on purpose? Well, if he did, that man must have a lot of free time to bother with unimportant thing like following an angry hunter. However it could be a coincidence, though. Or maybe the two men were destined to be good friends, sort of... "Sounds like a pair of good friends, you know...People say if two guys fight often then they must be good friends." Maybe Riviera shouldn't make that comment, at least she should have kept it to herself.
Being a slow eater as she always was because she tried to act gracefully even when chewing or rasing her spoon, Riviera still had half of her stew when Kyle finished with his. A fast eater, huh? The blonde lady wasn't sure she would go with second bowl but she decided to let her stomach decide it later after she finished emptying her first bowl. "It's not bad. I guess you do know how to cook," she let out a small comment before continuing with the answer for his question. "Hmm...not now I think. Maybe later I would...if I feel like it," she replied as she shook her head a little.
"Say...you said something about your job failed because of that guy. What is your job, Kyle? Hunting deer?" she asked, looking curious.

Kyle gave Riviera an incredulous look when she said that him and Orc sounded like good friends. It almost made him chuckle how impossible that was. It was about as easy as counting to see that He and Orc hated each other. There was no other way to explain the relationship between. "You're wrong about that. I would never be friends with him. Maybe when we first met, if he was competent. But not now. Not after everything he's done." He didn't even dare to mention how desperate he was for money. He even went to the western isles to look for work, to no avail, only to almost meet with death on multiple occasions. Although he did meet Locke there, but Locke was probably dead as well after that storm. . . But he had no reason to tell those things to her, about how he was stranded on an island for weeks. It was a bad time.
When it came to the food she said that it wasn't bad and that he could cook. Was that a compliment? It might be considering how she reacted to things earlier, and that she was probably used to that stupid fancy stuff that people with actual money were entitled to. "Okay, tell me when you want more." He said as he got up to get himself some more of the stew.
After he got himself some more he sat back down and began to quietly eat his food, quite content. Until Riviera asked another question. One that he thought would have, or should have been quite obvious by now. "I'm a mercenary. I complete jobs for money."[/s] Hunting deer? That was a stupid thing to guess. That would be like a food provider of a town and one wouldn't be traveling much for that job. But he might as well ask a similar question in turn. "Well, what do you do?"

Uups... Probably shouldn't have said that... Kyle seemed to have really low opinion about Orcleus. Maybe the quarrel between them was worse than she thought. Riviera could understand his hate a little because she had similarly bad relationship with a few people in Etruria. No matter how hard she tried, it seemed fate itself had arranged that some people would never become her friends. However, her confrontation had never been as intense as those two had had before, no punching, only a bit threatening and throwing insult or sarcasm. Maybe it was because those two were stubborn and hardened men that they talked with their first instead of using words.
Riviera finally finished her first bowl but her stomach still wasn't ready for second. One portion of this simple stew and biscuits had made her full. She started to look for a teapot, expecting the kind host had prepared some warm tea for her drink. She then looked dissatisfied when she failed to find one, feeling stupid for harboring needless expectation. Maybe Kyle had tea or other kind of drink and just forgot to take them out or maybe he truly wasn't attentive enough. Oh well, fresh water from the river wouldn't be so bad, probably. The blonde mage gracefully wiped her mouth with handkerchief as she listened to Kyle's next reply to her other question.
"Hmm...so you are a mercenary..." Riviera nodded as she crossed her arms. Mercenary. It seemed more and more people took this kind of profession recently. Who could blame them though? It was fairly profitable with many wars going on. In fact, even her family employed many mercenaries to protect their estates or to do escorting duties. She had considered about hiring some mercenary before but she always hesitated to make the deal. It just didn't sound safe to hire someone who lived from killing, they often showed tendency to be brutal and ruthless.
"Me?" Riviera didn't expected to the question. She pondered for a moment before she decided to share a bit about herself with the blonde hunter. "I am a student of an academy for young mages in Etruria. Aside from attending school and learning magic I also study many other things as a preparation to inherit my father's position as the head of our family. Well, I don't think I can call it working...but I also help managing my family's lands." Riviera stopped. She realized she had said too much. More details would probably bore the hunter anyway. "Sounds very busy, huh? It is. But I haven't done those for a while since I left Etruria for a personal reason," she added, making tired expression. Remembering those tiring activities did exhaust her mentally a little.

Kyle nodded his head when she stated that he was a mercenary. Was it a question? It didn't really sound like it, but it also did? Did rich people always talk like that? Could she have been asking the question to reaffirm even though he had just stated it? That was a strange manner of talking indeed. Hopefully she was just meaning something simple instead of hat he was over thinking. He always did stress a lot over stupid things like this. Was that weird?
But before he could over think himself into even more of a hole of confusion, Riviera began to talk about herself. It only confirmed what he'd thought about her being from a wealthy family. Going to an academy for mages? Who knew how much that would cost? Not him, that's who. He could only assume that it would be a large amount of money that could buy a lot of food, spices and weapons. Maybe even some buildings. But she could spend her money on whatever she wanted to, it was hers after all and not anything he should worry about.
She also said that she was being trained to inherit lands. Wasn't that usually the job of the sons? Maybe she was better than the sons, if she wasn't an only child. But all of the management and stuff that would go with their land sure sounded like a lot of really boring work. A lot of sitting around not doing much, did nobles really like that kind of stuff? Maybe, but she must not like it as much others because she said that she left and hasn't done any of it recently. "How could you stand to do something like that all the time?"
It all sounded so boring. Being out in nature or out doing a job had to be much better. Well, if nature was safer anyways. With all the monsters around everything was dangerous, considering most of his jobs required that he was fighting them.
As he finished his second bowl of stew he pushed the bowl off to the side and gave her his undivided attention. Once she was done explaining, as all things must come to an end, he decided to see if she needed anything else. "Is there anything else you needed?" If there was one thing he was practiced at, it was doing as others needed to. With him being a mercenary and doing his father's bidding for all of his life.

Riviera smirked when Kyle look bewildered but then her expression changed into confused when he asked a question which she failed to comprehend. "I don't understand your question. What's so weird or wrong with those things?" The mage wouldn't say she favored the busy routines which came from managing his family lands but she didn't really hate it either. It was quite challenging, actually. She seemed unsure whether his question was directed to her attending magic academy or helping with the management, or maybe both. "Do you think it's hard? Or boring, perhaps? I assure you that it isn't. Also, everything is quite easy because I am a genius." Okay, another boasting from the prideful noble lady. She should probably stop.
They finished their bowls almost at the same time, the only difference was the amount they ate. Riviera didn't praise the taste of the stew but she wasn't complaining either. If it were bad, her sharp complain would make Kyle's ears bleed. "No, thank you." She answered as she gracefully put the spoon into the bowl and pushed it a bit aside. The well-mannered noblewoman didn't forget to wipe her mouth and her hands with handkerchief, although the cleaning might be unnecessary since she had ate very cleanly. "I would like to sit and rest for at least a few minutes before I leave, though. I hope it isn't a bother for you and your father," she said. Surprising. He was quite attentive despite his look. Well, his manner and cooking skill wouldn't get an A from her but maybe he would pass for C-.
"By the way, I assume, because you are in home currently, you still haven't taken any jobs, have you?" she asked out of curiosity. Riviera had thought that mercenaries were kind of people who rarely in home so she was quite intrigued. "And what kind of job you usually do?"

Kyle looked at her for a few seconds as she seemed to read a bit more out of his question than he originally intended. Oh well, it was probably best to roll with it at this point instead of trying to take it back. "Well, isn't it. . .um. . . He sort of paused at that point, unable to find a proper word to really describe what he thought. He just shrugged at that point, unsure what to say. Being smart probably helped quite a bit, maybe that was why he couldn't understand it, maybe she was smarter or something. Oh well."Is it something you want to do forever?" He spoke, that was about the best way he could find to put it. Words were strange.
He was quite surprised when they nearly finished at the same time, mostly by the fact of how little she actually ate. He would have thought that she had been much hungrier considering that she was in the middle of nowhere for who knows how long before he found her. Or did she find him? Either way she must have a small stomach. He silently nodded when she said that she needed to rest before going anywhere, He gave a broad gesture with his hands, gesturing to the whole clearing, "Well, if you need anything just ask." Then he grabbed the bowls before turning and jogging towards the house.
He was stopped short by her question, "Er, I've taken some jobs." He said with a small nod. What he failed to say was that most of them so far ended up in failure or near death, mostly from circumstances outside of his control, but it was still on his watch so as of now he was a terrible mercenary. " And I mostly have fought monsters,a few jobs were also doing escort stuff for caravans." He says with a nod before continuing inside, her current questions answered.
In less than a minute Kyle came strolling back out of the building, brushing his hands together before returning them to his sides. "So, ummm. . ." He trail off, " Yeah, I've taken on work before." He says as he continues over to a tree to lean against it, relaxing a little.
