It had been three days since they arrived in Ilia fully. After an initial stumble with local thugs; upon which Remus had been miraculously saved by a kind yet deceptively strong woman named Nayru they found themselves able to establish a lodging. Not only had the man who owned the inn been kind enough not to charge for the two small orphans that accompanied Remus, but the man who ran the Tavern would allow Remus to deliver them free meals. Though they didn't actually eat much, they graciously accepted the twin hospitality. The blue haired Priest had gone out of his way additionally on the first day to obtain a second set of blankets for the children from the innkeep. They were from Etruria, and still unused to the biting colds of Ilian climates. Remus had taken time to write out their plight. In essence, they had posted a notice to hire on someone to guard them and additionally guide them from Ilia to and through Sacae to Laus. Additional gold offered if they would protect them through Laus though he knew most would not wish to brave such dangers. Ideally he was hoping to hire on multiple sell swords; but he knew that the danger would most likely create an issue with price.
Remus had ensured the children were safely tucked away for the eve, and though as per their request he left the lantern lit within the room he moved to exit and head down to the Tavern hoping to meet with atleast one person willing. Keeping his staff tight within grip, Remus adjusted his brown traveling cloak and strode into the tavern. He had added at the bottom of the letter both the inn they were staying at and he could be identified by the blue scarf around his neck. He sat down within the Tavern as he looked back to notice, to a slight dismay though not enough to remove the brief smile lingering on his lips as per his norm; that the notice he had posted was now still one of the few from the time he had posted NOT accepted. Infact, more had been added around it and he was worried that soon it would be merely covered over. The priest had faith however. Saint Elimine watched after those who were truly of good intent, so he would have to pray and keep of positive attitude. On the rare occasion the priest felt it draining, he also knew that the children relied on him for support both physically and morally. He could ill afford to waver.

Flynn squinted through the snow falling down as he rode along the path. Buddy's breaths were quick and short, making small puffs of air form in front of the horse's nostrils. The swordsman's red hair was speckled with snow, as was his thick, brown coat he was using to stay warm. He hoped he could make it to the next town before nightfall, as staying out in the cold here at night could be suicide. Flynn spurred his horse again and Cuddy galloped at a faster pace. They had to be getting close.
And close they were. Flynn saw lanterns flickering in the distance. He smiled through his scarf and spurred his horse again. He was ready to be inside and out of the cold. They reached the edge of the town and Cuddy slowed to a trot. He guided his horse over to a stable, paying for a stall that Cuddy could sleep in for the night. He didn't want to leave his horse out in the freezing cold. Once he was assured that Cuddy was secure and safe for the evening, Flynn made his way over to the tavern. As he walked, he saw a large board with pieces of paper on them. He walked over and studied the papers. Job postings, asking for mercenaries, workers, hunters, so on and so forth. His crimson eyes flicked over the paper until he saw one asking for a guide and protector from Ilia to Laus. Flynn ripped the paper off of the board and walked the rest of the way to the tavern. It would be dangerous over such a long journey and Laus being in its current state, but gold was gold and he needed it.
Flynn pushed the door to the tavern open. He pulled his scarf down, exposing his nose and mouth as he walked over to the bar. He leaned on the counter top as he held the job listing up. "I'm looking for a Remus," he asked the bartender. "He here?" The bartender nodded in the direction of a blue haired man in a brown cloak. Flynn thanked the bartender and approached the man at the table.
"I hear you're looking for someone to get you to Laus," he said as he pulled up a seat to the table.

Remus sat at the table with a large mug infront of him. However he simply rank water from it, and instead of the stereotypical masculine gulps from a mug he literally sipped a bit at it. The thin blue haired priest rested his elbows upon the table, his staff leaning upon his shoulder and perched with it's tip at the ground between his crossed feet. Seldom did someone look so out of place, as the white/blue clad younger man. Still a boy to some, at twenty here he was sitting in a tavern of grizzled veterans and mercenaries who most likely drank harder beverages than he could have ever stood. That was when Remus shifted his head slightly. The approaching red haired male seemed far closer to his own age as opposed to most of the others wandering about. He clasped his mug with both hands, looking up as the man approached. He had a paper in his hands. Had he taken his job?
Remus couldn't help but smile with an enthusiastic grin. The Priest attempted to quickly get up to extend a hand to shake the mans, however in his swiftness to do such two fatal aspects had lingered outside his consideration. His staff was tucked between his legs and propped to his shoulder, so it prevented his left leg from uncurling fully to stand up. His drink was also still within both hands and water sloshed about precariously near the top as he attempted to stand up. Not understanding why his body shifted in a way that he almost fell Remus flailed before plopping back down the two inches he had managed to rise before water sloshed out of the mug and onto the table directly beneath. Luckily, none had splashed remotely close to the red haired man; but it made for an embarrassing sight to most. However Remus paid it no mind as he took a moment to clasp his mug smiling to the man with a bit of a nod. He lowered his mug over top of the water stained segment while clasping the upper portion of the staff with both hands."I am. Someone who can guide me and two little ones through Sacae, and through Lycian into Laus so I can bring a lost child home. I've no means to protect myself, or them sadly..merely heal wounds."
As he explained their plight to the man, to his unknowing mind the little raven haired girl and blonde haired boy had crept from their inn....
--------------------------------------------------------
A small head peaked through the window. Amelia's little hands pressed up against the window sill to look through the dirty window, barely able to see the blur of what looked like blue hair belonging to their priest. Owain, who was holding her up as she sat upon his shoulders muttered meekly. "Do you see him? My arms hurt!" Amelia looked down with a puffed cheek huffing at him. "I do, but it's not your arms you dummy! It's your shoulders or back that would be sore. Your just being a sissy! Now come on let's go, we need to find him and ask him for another pillow so he can have one!!" Amelia struggled and hopped off Owain's shoulders nodding confidently as the two children prepared to enter the tavern.

Flynn watched his would be employer flail around trying to get a grip on the situation, an amused expression on his face. He scooted his chair back a bit, making absolutely sure to avoid the water splashing around. After the priest had settled down, Flynn waved his hand, signalling for a drink. The mug soon clacked against the wooden table. The mercenary grabbed the mug and took a drink from it, nodding as he lowered it back to the table.
"A lost child needing to go home in Laus?" Flynn asked. "Seems rather dangerous of a place to take a child and it could prove difficult, but not impossible, if we were careful enough. Getting you there should prove easy enough, so that isn't much a problem. I will need to know a few things, though." Flynn began to go through his mental checklist. "What are you offering to pay in return for my service? And what are we doing for food and lodging? Do you have horses or a cart for transportation? How old are these kids you're protecting?"
The mercenary took another drink from his mug before continuing. "Your healing magic will prove useful enough," he reassured Remus. "It will prove more useful than any of my medical supplies and help me avoid in using them until a later date." Flynn leaned back in his chair, drinking from his mug as he did. "Lastly, tell me about these two kids. They are technically my employers, as well, but I can assume you must have put them to bed at the inn, correct?"

Remus gazed into the rippled pools of water within his mug when the man mentioned the dangers of Laus. Remus nodded for a moment in agreement. He waited before speaking however until he had finished so he could answer all his questions in accordance. Remus spoke with a bit of a quiet tone, even though he smiled gently as he remembered the young one fondly. Ever the constant, his smiles seemed to be his only expression even in prospects of sorrow or worry. "Indeed. Young Thomas had taken admiring to the smiths handiwork when ever I would lead the children in field-trips to the village. We all lived in an Orphanage in Etruria, closer to the border but not entirely so. On one trip, the boy snuck away after we took a head count. His two friends knew, Amelia and Owain. Closest things to siblings you'd find at an orphanage of individual children. You see, the smith had been forging them to help his oldest son who was leading a reclamation effort of Laus. Fighting hordes of brigands, and no less the horrors that still linger there. I found out too late, for he had already departed when I arrived there. Amelia and Owain had also snuck out from the orphanage to tell me they knew he had stolen away in the smiths wagon in hiding. However after they left..brigands raided the orphanage before burning it to the ground. There were..no survivors save me and the children away. " He paused for a moment and closed his eyes. Silently he prayed. Both to Elimine for the souls that had perished, and for the soul he had yet to find. He lifted his gaze back to the red haired male to answer his questions.
"I can pay you, a moderate sum of gold gathered prior to losing the orphanage. I had been saving it to take the children on a trip to the capital so they could see the tower of Elimine. As for transportation, while I could arrange for a carriage out of Ilia I realize that Sacae we will have to walk, as most likely will we to Laus. I find it unlikely we will see wagons or caravans headed there." He shifted his gaze upon hearing the door open. He did not see anyone stride in however and after a moment it seemed to be closed by a confused looking woman wearing plated armor. He looked back around at the red haired man before resuming. "Lodging also seems like it will be scarce once we reach Sacae, however I've a tent that can be pitched and is gathered in my pack. It also has several days worth of food for us; though while I and the children eat less than you might think we are likely to have to purchase or barter for more before reaching laus unless we can find some way to obtain it. I am unfamiliar with the type of food grown in Sacae I confess. I own no horses or cart for transportation, so it will be limited to what we can carry. The children? " He lifted his gaze to smile a bit more optimistically. The small ones were a bright spot unto his life and the truest thing to a blessing. Even Remus'es unshakable optimism would have surely been tested had they perished as well. Elimine had sent him angels in their form for sure.
"Their names are-" He was suddenly cut off as he tried to speak by being jolted forwards from behind as small arms miraculously lifted around his neck from behind and dangled around his shoulders.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Amelia and Owain had been able to finally shift the weight of the heavy tavern door open and sneak in. No one had noticed the two children as they approached the blue haired priest. Crawling under tables and dodging slamming feat, the girl of Seven and a half, and the boy of eight were easily small enough. Thus, as Amelia climbed onto Owain's shoulders to reach the priest she giggled happily and threw her arms around his neck hugging him tightly as they both shouted surprise. Remus'es slight yelp in shock quickly turned to laughter as he realized who it was. Though he shifted his poise to shift the children he knew they would hear no other. Far too strong headed for their own good. Remus moved himself a bit as Owain climbed onto the bench and sat onto his knee. Amelia however stood, ever the defiant one as she puffed a cheek suddenly examining the red haired man while still keeping her arms around the priests shoulders and neck. She chimed in abruptly. "Brother Remus. Who's this man? Do you know him?"
Remus gazed at the young black haired girl with a chuckle before he tried to slowly sit her down, which she yielded unto and sat down on the bench aside him. Eagerly however she reached over grabbing Remus'es mug and started to drink from it. It would have most likely been clear now as to why Remus only drank water. For at any moment, he was likely to yield his drinks and food to the children had they need of it. They were not spoiled, merely just as they were. Children. Remus gazed up to the man with a hand resting on either child's head. "The loud one here is Amelia. She's seven and a half. Owain is eight, and you'll find him more likely to be the quieter ones. I'm assuming the plot to sneak out of the inn was Amelia's here. She is a bit of a wanderer. " Remus looked to the man with a smile as he shifted tilted his head a bit.
"I admit openly to you now however. I realize that beyond the dangers of Sacae and traveling, Laus poses immense threat. Looking beyond my own safety and wishing to ensure the protection of the children I have placed multiple adds. I fear no lone warrior can keep them safe should numbers overwhelm us. I certainly wish to hire you on, but I do not wish to depart until I feel there are numbers aplenty to protect these two. Would it come to it I would see myself forfeit to shield them but that alone will not suffice. However in the mean time, I am aware some wish to learn of their employers better before fully accepting such terms. If there is anything you would ask of me to know, I shall answer it earnestly. "

Flynn couldn't help, but smile as Remus talked of the boy, Thomas. He knew he feeling: Running off to chase your dreams, the whole reason he was sitting in this bar about to head off on a journey to Laus with a priest and two children. Flynn's expression darkened when he heard of te tragedy that struck Remus' orphanage. He hated brigands. No restraint, no mercy, no honor, nothing. Brigands answered only to the coin, but in ways that made the gold into blood money. Flynn took another drink from his mug as he continued to listen. The mercenary shook his head after the priest finished explaining their provisions for the trip, but kept quiet as the man continued and started to talk about the children. He watched as Remus smiled and began to speak when he saw a small figure wrap their arms around the priest in a hug. The mercenary smiled as he watched. It was uplifting to see such innocence, even after hearing of such a tragic event. Flynn nodded in greeting to both of the children as Remus introduced them and listened again as the priest finished his explanation.
"I will not take your gold, sir," Flynn said. "Your cause is just and there are better uses for it that paying me. Buy yourself a cart and horses. This appears to be a time sensitive mission and they will speed things up, as well allow for more food and other supplies." He looked at the two children again, then back to Remus. "I also ask you to never put yourself in harms way. That is my job. I would sooner take a blade for them and you than let these two live on without you, whom they care so much for. Should the situation get hairy, please flee and leave me and whoever else you're hiring to deal with the threat."

Remus gazed at the man with a smile on his face when the man spoke. Though taken aback(In a good way) at his declaration Remus almost felt tempted to insist. However when the man mentioned their gold would have higher priorities for things such as supplies and a wagon to store more; he was right. Remus closed his eyes, flawlessly mimicking a man in thought. However he actually took the silent moment to give thanks to Elimine for his fortunes. Truly it was as if she watched over him. From the guiding graces of the children that kept him from ever coming close to wallowing in sorrows to the fortunate kindness that all but overwhelmed him he had received. The carriage driver taking them to Ilia had done such for no fee. The Inn keep had accepted room fare for only him and even offered cheaper meals from his friend, who owned the very Tavern in which he sat. Now this man, who lived as a mercenary accepted their job out of kindness instead of for the offer of money. However where Remus had been silently thankful, the children immediately made noises in his stead. Owain made gave a content yay before yawning a bit. The young boy was always tired, for terrors in his sleep plagued him. Even when he tried to sleep peacefully he was stricken with nightmares so he typically received no more than two hours of sleep at a time. Amelia however..was the louder of the two.
She threw her hands into the air cheering at the idea of this man as a new friend to travel with clearly excited her. Remus chuckled as he opened his eyes once more. Perhaps it was Flynn who knew not what he had gotten himself into. Amelia had observed the men at the table behind them when she entered. They had multiple times over taken their mugs and thrusted them into the air before cheering and drinking large gulps. She now did the same with Remus'es mug. Grabbing it with both her tiny hands she thrust it upwards in a cheers and lowered it to take three child sizedhearty swigs. She clashed the priests mug down as she wiped excess water from her cheek that had dripped down her lips and then was forced to brush raven locks of hair out of her face before beaming up at both men giggling. "I can't thank you enough sir. Truly the thanks of but one priest is in no way strong enough to convey our gratitude. If I may be honest, I had feared the majority of my sums would go to hiring guards or guides and had not considered obtaining a wagon or horses to pull it until you mentioned it thusly. I will be sure to do that. "
Remmus looked to Flynn with a smile while he spoke; taking a moment to allow the man to detect the serious nature of his tone even through his smile. "However please understand. As a priest and one adept at the healing arts, I can not flee entirely upon the field. It would be an injustice to my predecessors and unto Elimine herself. I will stay a safe distance, and ensure the children are safe should danger arrive but know that I will not abandon those that would risk their lives to see ours safe. Not while I can heal. I propose a median. I will stay as far from danger as possible while ensuring I can respond to heal wounds. Do you accept these terms sir?"

Flynn smiled as he watched each of their individual reactions. Remus' was rather reserved and he seemed to be thinking on Flynn's refusal of the gold. The childrens' were ones of enthusaim, rather loud ones, at that. The mercenary raised his glass as he watched Amelia do so and he drained the remainder of his drink. He signaled for another and soon a new mug clacked on to the table. The empty one was whisked away as Flynn took another drink. He listened to Remus, nodding every once in a while as the priest explained himself.
"No thanks necessary, good sir," he said with another smile. His smile faded when he started about the supplies. "There are a lot of things to consider when planning for such a journey. A lot of factors to consider. I have a horse of my own, so we will need to only purchase one with the cart. Tomorrow, I suggest we go purchase the supplies. First things first, secure a horse and cart. Then buy enough dry rations for the journey, then bedding if you don't have any, as well as horse feed for the horses. We will also need cloaks and a cover for the cart should it rain. How many other mercenaries are going on this journey with you?" Flynn finished with the question and took another drink.
Flynn nodded again, satisfied. "That will be sufficient, sir, should we have enough fighters with us. Keeping you and the children safe is the number one priority. Speaking of them," Flynn paused, looking at the little boy and girl again, "if it's not too much trouble, would they like to meet my horse, Cuddy? It will help him get familiar with them."

Remmus felt his smile widen as the man played along to Amelia's antics. As the newly met Miss Nayru was already finding out, feeding Amelia's ego was a dangerous gambit as she would grow to vastly approve of those who boosted her ego. She was quite the force to be reckoned with. He pondered for a moment as to the quantity of supplies they were indeed going to need. He spoke in a thoughtful tone as a finger lifted to his chin and his gaze fell downwards in concentration. "We should be able to secure basic provisions easily enough. Especially in a town considered a hub for mercenaries. It's likely that they will have much they would need themselves in the way of such things before ventures. As for numbers? Ah...I believe three or four initially..though there was a blade for hire the man who ferried us here had mentioned seeking out upon entering the plains of sacae. A swordsman with green hair. I had hoped to acquire he as well. I would have to admit though different hires had decided that they would accompany only to certain distances. You are the first to offer definitively the entire trip and back. "
Oh dear. He had said the magic word. Time seemed to slow down as he murmured the word horse. Infact Remus had been too slow to move to put his hands upon the mouths of the children before Amelia rocketed to both feet upon the wooden bench. Even Owain, sleepy quiet little Owain was on his feet standing with his hands excitedly in the air. One of his few weaknesses. Horses. Both exclaimed excitedly as they looked to each-other with a most victorious gaze; as if the venture to the tavern had finally earned it's merit. "Horse!!!!!" Remus smiled sheepishly shooing the children to quiet their tones as they repeated the word horse triumphantly and bounced a little. Oh dear.
Remus chuckled with his palm opening in a wave of mock exasperation while he warmly looked to the children before now gazing back to the red haired man. "I believe the question is now answered by those other than myself. I fear if I were to say no they would simply resolve to finding your horse on their own. Nor would I put it past them. If your ready to now, I'm sure they'd happily oblige. They are err..eager as you can see."

Flynn nodded in response, adjusting his scarf as a he did. It was feeling decidedly hot now. He stewed over the information for a bit before he replied. "Supplies seem to be less of an issue now," the mercenary mused. "If the stores' and merchants' stock favor us, we could be on our way by noon time." Flynn took a drink from his mug, sucking on his teeth at hearing the other mercenaries wouldn't stick it out to the end. "That's a shame. That's no way to be a sword for hire. You have to see the job through to the end, I always say. Sort of how you can't shoot a deer then let it run off halfway through the hunt. It's just not right," he commented. "So be it, though. I'm hoping we can go in with three fighters. Any name for this green haired swordsman character? I might have encountered him once or twice in Sacae. My tribe was rather social." Flynn was curious as to who the swordsman was. He thought about the green haired people he'd met in Sacae. Only a few more his tribe came to mind at the moment. He wasn't too bothered by it, though. He'd learn the man's name soon enough.
Flynn smiled broadly at the children's reaction. He laughed as Remus answered for them without the use of saying horse repeatedly. The mercenary laughed as the priest finished. "I can indeed, my friend," Flynn replied. He finished the remainder of his drink, laid a few gold coins on to the table, and stood up. "I think Cuddy will appreciate the company just as much as they would appreciate seeing a horse." The mercenary pulled his scarf over his nose and mouth and adjusted his jacket, ready to head into the snow again.

Remus observed him patiently as he spoke. He had assumed the lad was Sacaean. His garb seemed to give it away. Remus had never interacted much with the nomads of the plains, even if he had heard of them. The blue haired priest shifted his gaze to the man while he stretched his hands slightly. He felt he had to clarify about the situation with the other mercenaries. "Tis more of a matter of how far some are willing to go. I'm not hiring them all under the simultaneous contractual conditions. However I do know two souls had expressed interest in coming simply to assist our little ones watl " Another smile to his lips. Truly it was good knowing people would generously offer to assist upon his otherwise mad journey. Atleast to the majority of the world a journey could be nice. However his focus diverted as the loud squealing and giggling of the jumping children began to resurface. They were quite clearly enthusiastic now more so than ever.
Tucking his blue sash around his neck, Remus slowly stood up and away from the wooden bench. He ensured his staff was secure in grip and guided the small children. He had to take a moment after pausing and noticed Amelia had idly gotten up to walk outside with the large wooden mug still in hand. Remus kindly reminded her by plucking it from her grip and lifting it up before lowering it upon the table they had been sitting at. A brief nod from Amelia as if she approved and they slowly made it to the door. Opening the heavy wooden frame upon it's hinges he scooted the children out; standing between the Sacaen and them while he waited for the man to approach. He chuckled as Amelia graciously swooshed her brown traveling cloak around her neck like a fancy royalty type with her lifting her cloaks hood upon her head. Nodding she clomped down into the flurry covered ground with Remus waiting, and holding the door open for the red haired Mercenary so he could lead the way to his horse. "If you'll lead the way good sir, we can visit your fine steed. However as for the morrow, I'm sure we can be ready to gather by then easily. "

Flynn sucked on his teeth a bit more. He didn't like the idea of having three or four other companions that would drop off and not help in Laus, where help would be needed most. "Still doesn't sit well with me," he remarked. "Even if I was contracted to not as far as Laus, I wouldn't feel right knowing you still had a mission ahead of you that I didn't help you finish. Seems only right to me to make sure the client makes it there and back in one piece." The mercenary was nervous now that he knew their numbers would be down. He hoped that the green swordsman would stick around to fight, as well as at least one other person. He would have to make do with what they would have, though.
Flynn smiled through his scarf and followed the children and Remus out of the tavern. The cold was an unwelcome sensation, but the children's optimism was encouraging. He looked at the priest as the man spoke, nodding as he finished. "Not much of a walk," the mercenary said, his scarf muffling his speech. "Just over to the stables. If they want and you'll allow it, the little ones can feed my horse. He would love it just as much as they probably would." Flynn paused, before continuing, "I don't believe I have told you my name. Flynn is my name. Its a pleasure to serve you, sir."
Flynn looked to the children again. "Stay close to me," he told them. "I'll get you to my horse very soon."

Remus turned to gaze at the man, with a smile on his face as he spoke happily. The mere notion they had one soul willing to accompany them for the entire journey if not two made him feel remarkably comfortable. Remus took the good where it was and tried to acknowledge the bad with some comfort. "Keep in mind, the prospect of finding others along the way is entirely possible. I understand your distaste, but trust in me when I say knowing even one would remain for the entire journey eases a vast burden on us." His words held a profound truth even the priest did not know of. As they entered the cold, the children seemed too energetic to notice. To such an extent that even while the priest felt the cold winds biting and adjusted his scarf; staff in his right hand while the children dangled upon either arm excitedly he could tell they were borderline jubilant. Amelia spoke up as they followed closely behind the red haired sell-sword.
"Brother Remus. If we are going to other places to get to Thomas, will it snow the entire time?"
Remus chuckled smiling down to the girl while the trio stuck close to the Red haired Man. Primarily the children who were all but dragging the smiling blue haired priest along. "No, goodness no Amelia! Some places will seem far warmer with lots of green grass and nice hills. Then we'll have forests and maybe even a mountain after that. Once we leave here, the snow should be behind us." The raven haired girl looked down with a tilt of her head. "Oh, I see." Most likely her thoughts merely gazed to her young friend that her and Owain both dearly missed.
Remus nodded to Flynn as they made their way to the stables. He chuckled a bit with his emerald hued eyes lingering upon the direction of the stables while trying to keep his affairs in order mentally. "I am sure they'll be very delighted to feed your horse good sir. "

Flynn thought for a moment. What the priest proposed was entirely possible. Others could tag along at any moment and having one person to stick on for the entire journey did provide for a sure fire protection from bandits and thieves that they would most likely encounter along the way. "Fair enough, good sir," the mercenary answered. "Sacaens may very well agree to join us should I try to play off of their inbred natures. They will see the just nature of your quest and my be honor bound to assist as we travel. They could also supply us with extra supplies should we need any." Flynn at least hoped his fellow plainsmen would aid them. It would seem characteristic of them, but one tribe he did want to avoid is his own. He felt like his mother and father would snatch him back into the monotonous routine he was trying to escape from and he'd never see anything but the plains again.
As he walked, Flynn looked back over his shoulder at the three people behind him. He smiled under his scarf. The innocence in those two children and the effort the priest took to keep it was astounding, hopeful, and heartwarming all at once. The mercenary nodded in response, "Excellent. My horse will be extremely happy receiving treats from new friends. Speaking of which, he should be right over in the third stall." Flynn pointed to the stall with Cuddy in it. The horse was resting his head on the wooden door, looking rather bored. The mercenary whistled and the horse's head immediately shot up. He looked at his master as Flynn walked closer, patting Cuddy on the nose upon reaching the horse. "Hey buddy. I've got some new friends for you to meet," Flynn said as he pulled an apple from the horse's saddlebags and snapped it in half. He looked at the children and crouched down to their level. "Okay, kiddos, all you've got to do is hold these and he'll eat them right out of your hands."

He was glad to have had such an honorable man opt to take on their task. It gave him no small comfort indeed. As they walked he felt the alternating swinging motions of his arms. Not of his choice albeit due to the children swinging his arms; however he could hardly mind such. With a chuckle he merely hummed quietly as they followed the red haired man. The idea that the children would get to do just that, act like children in their natural environment gave him a rather sizable sensation of joy within. He spoke up as they approached the horse, however taking a moment to ensure his tone was quiet enough not to spook the horse. Remus had worked with them in plenty growing up with his father being a merchant of all things including farm animals and traveling ones. As he spoke he turned to the children, kneeling and ensuring their gaze was on him. "Now keep in mind. You may get very excited but try not to be too around the horse. It can be easy for humans to scare them by sudden movements. So let's be nice yeah?" Though they both nodded, he knew it would be best to keep a gaze over them as he let them step forrwards.
While the red haired mercenary offered his broken apple, Remus chuckled at the children's first responses and how different they were. Owain, who had no sooner taken it that he looked up and outstretched his palm to offer it to the horse. The boy had a tender spot for animals of all kinds and his eyes were fixated on the horse as if he was going to explode with joy at just being around it. Then there was Amelia. Oh Amelia. She sniffed at the apple a bit. The girl then eased her lips forwards and nibbled at a small portion of the apple to sample it for herself. Remus was about to intervene had she attempted to eat the entire thing, before her face noted upon it's taste He could only assume it was too sweet for her. Amelia was remarkably fond of bitter tasting fruits but did not handle ones that were overly sweet. She then extended her palm as well offering it to the horse and awaiting for it to accept the offered treats. Though Owain fidgeted slightly he did not act out or make any excited noises. Amelia however was, as always, a fit of giggles at the horses slightest responses.
