Ah, yes, everyone's favorite character building forum game! I thought this would be a neat way to help us flesh out personalities and such between waiting for posts and what-have-you. It's all in the title, basically, but here's the basic ground rules:
1. Answer the question given to you by the poster above you in-character. It doesn't necessarily even need to be prose- just dialogue as to how they would answer the question if they were, say, being interviewed.
2. At the end of your post, post a question that you want the next poster to answer in-character.
3. All questions are fair game! They can range from asking about what their greatest dream is, to what their favorite ice cream is, to even questions about their grooming habits, if you'd like! The saucier and the more you have to think, the better. Just remember to keep it PG-13 and abide by forum rules, of course.
4. Your character must answer truthfully. Even if they are a bit of a maniac or are unsociable, pretend that they're talking to someone they trust, whether or not that person actually exists. Everyone can participate!
5. Questions may be repeated. If the question above is a good one, you can recycle it for the next question, if you'd like.
EXAMPLE:
See? Easy. So, let's start it off with the next poster!
Q: If you could ride any mount of your choice into battle, what would you ride? Or, if you already ride a mount, what other would you choose?

A: "I would like to ride a Wyvern... a..actually... T-they're so brave and vicious, super manly! I could stand to be more manly... They're kind of feral, but super faithful too, I hear! So y-yes, a Wyvern is the choice for me!"
Q: What sort of ambitions do you have? What kind of dreams keep you waking up in the morning..?

A: "What are my ambitions, you ask? Simple. I want to free Bern from the tyranny of its Ilian overlords. I want the Bernese people to be able to walk the streets of their cities without fear. I want them to be ruled by a man of the people, not some puppet placed on a throne. And I'll die before I stop fighting for their freedom."
Q: How do you get ready for a battle? Does a looming fight ever fill you with dread?

A: "Hrm... A battle never puts me into such a foul mood. St. Elimine provides and I act as her tool in this hellish realm. The more men with guts in their bellies and spears in their hands is the best preparation I could imagine for a fight.
Q: Do you travel the seas often?

A: "I have not, I've traveled on land in a carriage lots of times, but the sea? Never ever! I kind of want too though... A..assuming pirates don't exist... They don't really -- right?"
Q: If you could gain the power to resurrect a fallen comrade, would you do it? Keep in mind, that you would be defiling the laws of nature ...

A: "Hah! Oh, that's a good question. You know, back when I was a combat medic, I used to think about this sort of thing all the time. 'If I were just a little bit faster, she'd still be alive', yeah? Haunted my dreams for a long, long time... still does, every once in a while. The more I read my husband's tomes, the more I was been exposed to the throes of necromancy and raising the dead, and I have to say... ten years ago, I probably would have said yes and never looked back, if it meant making up for my mistakes and giving a family back their mother or sister or cousin or wife. Now that I'm older and understand of the horrors of living between our realm and undeath, I can't be so certain. I couldn't do it with a close comrade, no.
...Now, if this was just any random ancient skeleton soldier that I could just have escort these old bones around town, and I knew it wouldn't start screaming every time I thwacked it in the head with my staff... then yes! Gladly!"
Q: Ditto!

A:"Hmmm, If I could do that and my friend had wanted to be alive then I would gladly do it. You can't exactly break any laws of nature if it is possible in the first place, right? And some people consider magic part of nature itself. And it also depends on how they were revived, what would the cost be? Would they be like normal? Would they be the same as when alive? If they were, then I really would.
Q: Same as above.

A: Actually Edrick, the current laws of nature is life can only be created not returned. If you could simply 'revive' a comrade then why hasn't it been done yet, and how would that explain the undead in Lycia? Hm, actually that brings up the question is that what they'd become upon being revived? But to answer the original question, wouldn't I need comrades or even friends to do that? Or would colleague count? If so, in a heart beat. I take that back, even faster than that. There would be so many questions that would require an answer and I would spend my time learning about it, such as are they truly the same? What do they remember what happened, or even if there was anything between their last memory and the one of being alive again, assuming they could remember anything.
Q: If you were given immortality and eternal youth, what would you do with the time you have?

A: "I would try to kill myself over and over again, just for fun. I mean, imagine what it must feel like, falling from a cliff and surviving?! It must be exciting--if not a tad scary. ... W..wait... maybe I wouldn't do that.... I mean, imagine being eaten and digested alive for all of eternity, or at least until the host consuming you dies? That's gonna be a stinking eternity..." Nyro scratches his head, "Maybe I'll just dedicate my time to learning something useful. I hear some people want to know what the center of the world looks like. Maybe I can go explore that."
Q: If you were given a choice between these to end a war. Would you rather do it as a powerful world-renowned warrior? Or passively, as an unknown diplomat? One path is filled with fame and fortune, but will cost many lives. The other is not so extravagant, but nobody else will die.

A: "Can't I take the fortune and leave the fame? No? I mean being a 'world-renowned' warriors all well and good, but that sounds like a good way to get a hundred people lining up to take their chance at being the one who takes you down. No thank you to that, besides mindless aggression is the tool of the uncreative and foolish. The diplomat then, if I'm so good at talking I can end a war that can otherwise only be stopped by a blood thirsty warrior-god, that's gotta have some useful applications. Maybe I can talk some kings out of their riches, who's to say I don't just diplomaticise myself as the secret ruler of this new peaceful kingdom? You never said I had to fade away after it was over, just that I was 'unknown'."
Q: Imagine if you will an assassin who offers you the chance to have one person die in this world, no matter what the complications were. Who would you like to see dead above all else? No wussy "I don't want anyone to die boohoo" answers either, everyone wishes someone dead and don't pretend to be above it all. The assassin is going to kill someone, and if you say no one it'll be you.

A: "Kraft or his Herald. No question. Either one works, but I'd rather see both dead. Can I pay extra for that?"
Q: What do you fear above all else?

A: "Mole rats! I mean, have you SEEN those things? Eugh, can't even stand the thought of them. Squirmy, naked, squishy, dancing, deformed, fetus-looking things that worm around and screech and exist only to torment us. And they're filthy and breed like rabbits, too. How vile!
Though, if I had the choice between kissing a mole rat or losing someone I love... well, I'd kiss the mole rat. So long as I could obliterate it afterwards. So there's that."
Q: How do you get ready for a battle? Does a looming fight ever fill you with dread? (Thanks, Kelvin!)

A:"I try to take my mind off the fight, and study for a while. Things get pretty hairy when I'm not focused and readied up, and Gaea knows I'm a nervous wreck if I don't wind myself down. I'll never understand how all the others seem so peaceful, or heck, excited, before we move out - but it's hard to stay concerned when you're as much a part of the fun as all the others.
Q: What would you say your greatest weakness is, past and present?

A: "My greatest weakness is my drive to achieve. I charge head forward like a boar toward a goal instead of looking at other options. This attitude could lead me astray or end up causing me to miss my target all together. So to give a straight answer to your question Zach. My greatest weakness is my lack of imagination."

A: "I fight for my friends! Kidding, kidding. In all honesty, I fight for a lot of things. Gold, helping others, gaining fame, they're all very nice things to fight for. I started work as a mercenary to find freedom to do as I please with my life, be it any of those three things I fight for."
