Remus hadn't really any idea where he had been. At first. Being separated from the others for so long had proven a tad..disastrous. That did not however stop the priest from knowing there were things he could do to help those he ran into along his travels. Within a small town in north eastern Lycia he found himself resting. Well, most wouldn't have considered it resting. There he was, sitting in a small pavilion in the center of town with a congregation of people around him. It wasn't the first time he'd done this, nor would it probably be the last. When arriving in towns Remus would try to find the mayor or leader and offer to heal those with wounds and no means to treat them or visit a doctor. In such a small town where they had no localized healer and no priests Remus felt a bit..over welcomed.
Tirelessly he'd been at it, seeing as many people as he could to heal. Most were things he could but took time. Broken bones, infections or gashes and things of that nature. It was to his sorrow that occasionally he had to admit he couldn't heal someone that was quite ill or suffered something such as blindness. For the time, these things were beyond him; even if he would strive to some day be able to mend all forms of suffrage. It was tireless, but after a few hours of persistence Remus found himself able to take a step back; sitting down and with beads of sweat trickling down the side of his face as he observed the much smaller crowd of people. The next one to be healed was a small girl; similar to Amelia and with a slight lonely echo in his mind he tried not to remember his separation of the girl. He lowered himself observing her quietly before he tilted his head. "Hello there. What is it I can do to help you?"
The girl, in a completely adorable manner lifted her hand to reveal a somewhat long cut along her finger. Remus chuckled a bit before smiling down at her. "My finger hurts!" Before Remus could even lift his staff he heard a bustling among the few left as a man and woman came stumbling in. "Olivia! Don't bother this man, he has to heal people who are actually hurt!" The frown upon the girl, who considered her small wound very important as she looked to her parents; as if hurt simply to be told her scratch wasn't important said enough. However Remus smiled warmly as he waved his hand dismissively. With a brief close of his eyes and a small prayer, he funneled a small amount of magic into healing the girl's wound which closed up like clock work. Remus chuckled a bit, speaking to the parents as they moved in to retrieve their child. "As a man who studies saint Elimine..no wound is to large or too small. I will take time to heal any, so please do not be cross with her. " Remus knelt a bit looking to the girl with a smile. "And it was a pleasure to meet you Olivia. Best prayers for you, yes?" As the girl made her way back to her parents, still holding the finger that was injured Remus sighed a bit, feeling the ebb of weariness taking him once more. He wouldn't stop until he had healed all he could..but it was tiring work. Draining even. A priests work was never done though, was it?

Guinevere wasn't entirely sure where she was headed. She had a vague idea; reports had reached them that Richter was still in Sacae. The reports themselves differed. They all seemed united on the fact that Richter had been involved in a battle, but what had actually transpired differed from messenger to messenger. Rayl had wanted to leave at once to make sure that his friend was truly alright, but he had important duties now. That's what happens when you become a renown hero. Gwen wasn't tied down with duty, however, so she had volunteered to go in Rayl's place. Plus, she had started out as a soldier in Richter's army and had concern for her former commander as well.
If she found Richter alive and well, she would be offering to fight with him once again. For a time, anyways. Eventually she would return to Rayl's side, but he would be fine for the time being. Maybe. Hopefully. Fingers crossed. Anyways, before she made her journey into Sacae, she had decided to stop and grab some last minute supplies in small town. She had no idea how long she would be wandering around in Sacae, so better safe than sorry.
Having tied up her horse in the town stable, Gwen set about the town. It was a quaint little place. A few shops here and there. It might not be much, but it was enough for what she needed. A few eyes followed her as she walk about. By this time, she had a pretty good idea what they were for. She had been asked more times than she could remember why someone with her looks would want to be a soldier. So many times, in fact, most times she didn't bother giving an answer. No matter what she said, they would doubt her words. So let them come up with their own stories. Besides, the sad truth was she actually got more peace walking around wearing her armor than without it. With it on, she was a soldier. A beautiful one, sure, but still a soldier. Without it, she was just a pretty girl. And pretty girls get hit on. A lot. With was normally annoying, but could be amusing when Rayl was around. He could get pretty jealous.
As she walked, she noticed a man who seemed to be some kind of priest healing a small girl's finger. The little girl herself was adorable, and the priest was very sweet with her. As the small girl left with her parents, Guinevere approached the man. "That was very kind of you." She said, nodding towards the retreating girl. "Many people wouldn't be to tactful with a small child."

Remus lifted his head from a downwards gaze as he heard a females voice, only to find a blonde armor clad woman addressing him. The blue haired priest smiled a bit, wearily but with a content expression as he chuckled and shifted his weight to the other foot leaning on his staff slightly. He nodded with a bright glisten to his gaze. "I believe Elimine would have healed all injuries, no matter how small or great. For even the smallest wound can seem the greatest burden; especially to a child. "
She spoke of tact, and Remus felt a bit of a twinge of..was it pride? No. Maybe? He couldn't be sure but a certain sureness about the matter, as he spoke again with a chuckle; though now sheepishly rubbing the back of his head with one hand and keeping his staff in grip with the other. "My parents owned an orphanage growing up, that I helped with. I also helped run one within the Etrurian borders under the Church, so I'm quite accustomed to it. Then there's the little ones I look out for..haha. "
Amelia and Owain. Two wonderful little blessings that had been part of his life for a few years, yet already he felt as if they were his greatest gift. The separation was hard enough to deal with alone; but he knew he would reunite with them soon enough. Just thinking of them brought a smile to his lips as he chuckled. His attention diverted as a rolling crash of thunder drew his thoughts. He looked to the dark skies about them, so consumed in his time healing he never noticed the weather change through out the day. He sat down atop one of the four tables within the wall-less pavilion as he propped the tip of his staff on bench seat while gazing to the blonde woman. Though his gaze lingered on her eyes he realized she was strikingly beautiful; though as a man of the faith he obviously took no real interest with his mind being almost as innocent as the children he tended.
"I am currently caring for two orphans. Amelia and Owain, and am sadly separated from the group of brave souls escorting me and then, for our protection. We were to make for Laus, but a storm caused a snow collapse near the mountains of Bern which I was caught in. Elimine blessed me it would seem, or looked after me herself for I lived; but now confess I am unsure where I am. "

Guinevere patiently listened to the priest's story, taking in all of his words. Ah, so he was from Etruria as well? Small word. Running an orphanage seems like it would be a taxing way of life, but she could imagine how it could also be rewarding. And it makes sense how that could transition him to life as a priest. She smiled when he talked of the two orphans he was looking after, but was trouble by the fact that he had become separated from them. "I fear I cannot tell you exactly where were are, for I do not know the name of this town. But we are indeed in Lycia, somewhat close to the border with Sacae. Geography was never my strong point, but I believe that Laus is west and slightly south from where we are now." A knot had built up in Gwen's stomach. She had her mission to find Richter and she wouldn't stray from that. But at the same time, she felt a need to help the priest find the orphans that he had become separated from. The debate went back and forth in her mind before she finally reached her decision. "While it pains me to hear of the separation between you and those you care for, and though I wish that there was some way that I could help a fellow Etrurian, I fear that I have a quest of my own that must take my priority. I'm actually looking for someone myself, in hopes that he is still alive."

The classic smile Remus was seldom seen without spread upon his lips as did her best to convey there location. However when he spoke; the priest spoke in response to her insecurity as to their precise position upon any map. The blue haired priest waved his hand airily as if dismissing her inability to adequately locate them before chuckling quietly. His hands shifted upon his staff as he smiled and stretched out his lower arms; from his elbow down simply out of soreness from them being in the same angle the entirety of the time. "Please, do not fret over it. It is a trivial thing in the grand scheme. I may not know where we are entirely, though your words certainly narrows it down, but it gives me hope in the form of a general direction to take. I am sure I will find them if I try, be it time for me to. Until then I shall simply help those that I can how I can."
Upon hearing of her quest, and her apologies Remus shook his hands once again while also inclining and shaking his head. The priest did not want others to fret over being unable to assist him. In earnest it should have been he assisting others. He spoke up again after a moment. "I may not be the most traveled individual out there, but I've been from Etruria to Ilia and through a fair portion of Sacae. Though it may be small perhaps there is a chance I've met this individual you seek out? If I could assist you in anyway It would bring me no small matter of comfort. Unsurety in such times can be quite unplesant upon the soul. " The priest smiled brightly as he questioned her upon whom she searched. If there was any chance he could help someone find another he would; for he knew all to well how difficult finding others could be. Even before he was within the given predicament he now found himself.

Huh, this priest had recently been in Sacae? Maybe he had heard something about Richter. The only concern she had was that this was Richter she was looking for. And as she learned first hand back on the day she had met Rayl, many Etrurians were not to fond of Richter nowadays. If she put it out there that she was looking for him, that could get her into trouble before she even made it to Sacae. All that besides, though, she felt as though she could trust this priest. Look at her, she was a Etrurian on Richter's side, maybe he didn't think he had done anything wrong either. Plus... He seemed like a truly good man. There was just something about him that made her trust him.
She took a step closer to the priest and dropped her voice. She might trust him, for whatever reason, but it didn't mean she shouldn't still be careful of her surroundings. Speaking loud enough so that only he could heard her, she began to speak. "I'm looking for Richter Abend. I had heard that he was recently in some sort of battle in Sacae, but I've no idea where. I was sent to see if he's still alive, and then go from there. If you've heard anything about his location, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, please don't be troubled by it, much in the way you assured me earlier." She smiled at the priest before realizing that she had never introduced herself. "Excuse my manners," she said, giving the priest a vow. "I never introduced myself. I am Guinevere von Altenburg of Etruria. It's my pleasure to meet you."

Though the priest gazed at her with a confused expression as she abruptly approached, it vanished as she began to speak. Richter? He knew that name, if for no other reason than the City of Heroes. That had to be the battle she was talking about. Remus chuckled before smiling brightly to her, shifting his weight back to prop on his staff as he sat atop the wooden table. "Well I would know that name anywhere. He led the defense of the City of Heroes. In Sacae. A man named Hargus attacked with this army of bandits, and Richter led the forces defending it I was with the medical teams there, all the healers were led by this...eccentric fellow named Elias. A mage that wore all red and seemed to err...have a fascination with the color. He was however an incredible gifted healer and magic user. I left a few weeks ago admittedly but Richter was there resting and helping with reconstruction last I had heard. I imagine if he intends to see that through, he'll have a fair amount of time to put towards it so your chances of finding there are very high milady. Haha worry not though, he's certainly still alive. "
It was odd in retrospect. Thinking back to the battle. How powerless he had felt, and how useless. He'd healed some sure, but never had he felt so inconsequential as then. To know that the fight had ended and so many still lived was nothing short of a relief to him. Remus shifted himself slightly in the angle he faced while she spoke, before realizing he himself hadn't spoken of his name yet. Sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck the young priest chuckled and inclined his head in a respectful motion to her. "A pleasure to meet you Milady, forgive me for not having introduced myself either sooner; or inquired as to your name. It was rude of me. My name is Remus Wache, I am also from Etruria as you could easily have guessed had we not spoken. I am but a priest to the Church of Elimine. "
He nodded to her with a kind smile, upbeat even. Knowing he could be of assistance in any way always put him in a chipper mood, so he could only hope his words were of relevance to her and not information she already knew. For all he knew she spoke of another battle and city in Sacae. He had left after all and was no longer informed as to events within the nomadic homeland.

Guinevere had to admit she was surprised. Partially because she hadn't actually expected this Remus to know Richter's location so precisely. She had thought as best he might have heard a whisper, but she never would have expected that she would have worked along side her former commander. Besides that, she almost couldn't believe her ears about the battle itself. One report had said it was within the City of Heroes, which itself sounded a little far-fetched. But Hargus!? The Bandit King!? He was dead! Rayl had helped kill him before! What the heck was going on? This was all very troubling, but she needed to find Richter and ask him about it in person. Maybe Remus was mistake, or it was a different Hargus. But if it wasn't...
Gwen forced the concerned look off of her face and returned Remus' smile. "Thank you, Remus." She couldn't remember what the proper way to address a priest was anymore. Would it be Father Remus? Or Priest Remus? They just felt weird, so she decided to just use his name. Hopefully it wouldn't offend him. "That does sound like the man I'm looking for." She gave the priest another bow. "You've been a great help." Her smile faltered a bit. "I just wish there was something I could do to help you and return the favor." She knew the man had already shot down her apologies, but she still felt bad. If she wasn't already on a mission to find Richter, she would offer to travel with Remus to help him find those he had lost.

Remus smiled brightly upon hearing that he had been able to help her. It brought him no greater joy, in earnest than to help others so. The blue haired priest laughed a bit with enthusiasm even while he nodded to her. He extended his palms to either side as if welcoming someone but in reality just a gesture of excitement before clasping them back around the staff resting against the ground and propped upon his left knee. Fingers clasping tightly to his staff he nodded affirmingly to her with a light hearted tone. "I am simply glad I could help Miss Guinivere. It brings me no small peace of mind to know that it is the man your looking for. While he was very gruff, he seemed a very honest man. Terrifyingly strong as well...I would have never believed a man to remove a cyclopses lower jaw with ease but..ah..then again he did have an enchanted Ice Ax. I'm not overly knowledgeable on magic weapons so none could be too sure!"
While at the time the war had been horrifyingly dangerous, like most dangers the priest simply gazed upon the events during reflection wit a chuckle. Then again he spoke of these things as if they were casual tidbits to pass around. He spoke again after a moment shaking his head assuredly. "Milady, please do not worry about it. It is my job as a man of Elimine to help those I encounter. Worry not for how you might help me. If you truly wish to repay me, simply pass the same kindness onto others you might encounter. That would be the only favor I could possibly impose upon another soul. " If only the world could be so simple..ahhh...yet perhaps..someday.

An enchanted ice ax? Did Richter have one of those? Guinevere couldn't remember, but it seemed to be the type of thing that Richter would have. Gruff and honest? Yup, pretty much summed him up. A smile grew on her face. There was actually a chance that she would be able to find him alive. She gave a small bow to the priest in front of her. "I will do my best to to follow in your wise footsteps, Remus. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to start with Richter himself." Now, all that would be left would be to make her way to the City of Heroes and hope that she found more than just a body. Walk in the gardens, right?
"I pray that you find the orphans you look for, sooner rather than later." She could tell, even though he kept his tone light and pleasant, that he was very concerned with finding them. Not that she could blame him. Putting herself in his shoes, she'd be doing the same thing. "If we should meet again, and I hope that we do, and you still have no found them, I promise that the full power and resources of the von Altenburg family shall be behind you. I will see you reunited with them, one way or another." Hopefully by the time they did cross paths again, he was reunited with the children. And if not, she would make her next duty after helping Richter to help this man. Gwen always tried to repay her debts, but this was one she wanted to make sure she did.

Him? Wise? Now that was something to laugh about. A small series of chuckles left his lips before the priest wove his hand dismissively while he smiled before speaking to her; eyes bright with conviction. "Milady, my footsteps are not anything wise in earnest. I simply wish to make up for many..many wrongs that those before me have committed. Humanity, though capable of the best of goods has often shown neglect to others in times of need. I made a decision some short few years ago that I would dedicate my life to correcting these if I could..or helping prevent further ones. No matter how small the deeds, any help I can offer those who need it I would. "
He chuckled a bit more and nodded his head in thanks to her before speaking up again. A soft smile as he inclined his head. "I am sure I shall. They'll surely be most cross with me for having seperated myself from them. How else will Amelia see from great heights, if not perched atop my shoulders as per norm? Haha..I've faith I shall find them milady..that is certai-"
A man came scrambling by. Rushing and panting, he was obviously in a panic. Though there was something off. Crimson stained his hands as he scrambled and spoke in a panicked tone. "Ser Priest! Ser priest! One of the men in our village, Tommen. He was wounded by highway men! I saw it with these two eyes! I..I can't fight though! He needs healin', assuming they let him there to bleed! Please! They were on the south road! " The blue haired priest looked to the man with concern. It was obvious he was worried, and though Remus wasn't able to defend himself perhaps these highway men would see reason? It was possible. Remus stood up abruptly, his staff touching the ground like a walking stick as he nodded to the man. "Worry not. I'll find and tend to him. If you've a desire to help, wish for the best and pray good sir. "
The blue haired priest turned to the blonde soldier with a smile as he chuckled a bit. Even in serious tones he seemed almost blissful. "Milady I fear I must cut our conversation short? As you heard no doubt there is an injured man. I must go see to him if I can."

Guinevere had been smiling back at Remus when they were approached by a panicked man. He talked of someone from the village being injured by some highway men. Her eyes narrowed. Highway men. She despised the type of scum that preyed on the weak and those unable to defend themselves. Rayl and herself had taken it upon themselves several times to put an end to bands of highway men before, and it looked like she would soon be finding herself fighting more again. While she did have her mission to find Richter, it would have to be momentarily put on hold. With such a heinous thing happening so closely, she couldn't ignore it.
She looked back towards Remus. "I shall accompany you. I will not stand by when such men attack those who cannot defend themselves. I will make sure that you will make it to the man who needs healing. And if the highway men are still there, then I shall take care of them." Gwen wasn't the type who looked for violence. She didn't like to fight for fighting's sake. But she also understood that there were times when fighting was necessary, and this seemed like it could be one of them. At least it might serve for more training for when she rejoined her former commander. Fighting always seemed to follow that one around. It almost brought a smile to her face. Getting a tighter hold on her lance, she nodded towards the priest. "Shall we go?"

Remus looked towards the woman for a moment. His initial response was to protest. The idea that someone else would be hurt assisting him was most unpleasant to dwell on; let alone acknowledge as a feasible reality. However she was armed, and as he thought about it a small fact dawned upon him. She had been searching for Richter. She had mentioned wishing to "start" with Richter in response to his wish she simply start with kind acts unto others if she felt an obligation to repay him for helping her easier locate the pink haired man. She had also mentioned she was looking for him prior; meaning she was likely a comrade or companion of his.
If that was the case she would also likely be a rather skilled fighter; or at-least beyond able to hold her own. His conscious could rest easy no doubt as he came to realize this. Remus nodded to her after a pause and turned to the man before he spoke up. "I'm certain we will find them. Please good sir, rest yourself and be at ease. We shall find and tend to your injured man.. "
Turning to Guinivere he nodded briefly before turning to move down the road after a pause and adjusting himself by stretching. He had been crouching over others and mending wounds most of the day thus far. Remus took his stride to a quickened pace, each step alternating to the slight wooden thunking noise of his staff touching the ground. It was common for priests and bishops to at times use their staves for assisted walking sticks but also made it easier to travel with them as opposed to carrying them in the air constantly. While they moved, he tried to keep the pace quick but also kept his eyes open for any sight of highwaymen or any sign of injury or injured individuals when he spoke to the female soldier. "Have you much, or any experience with highwaymen Miss Guinivere? " He asked not out of skepticism or doubt but..because well..HE didn't have any experience with them.

Guinevere nodded grimly in response to Remus' question. "Unfortunately, more experience that I would wish. I've spent the better part of the last year with a close friend, part of who's job is keeping the peace. Because of this, and just general traveling, I've come across a number of highwaymen. Every time I would hope that maybe they were just mislead, but each time they proved they were only in it for greed. Nothing makes me angrier than people preying on those who can't defend themselves..." She had actually lost count of the groups of highwaymen her and Rayl had encountered in the past year. Not every encounter lead to a fight, but every fight lead to death. She didn't particularly care for killing, but when the situation called for it and it was kill or be killed, she wouldn't go down without a fight.
She sighed. She hoped that this wasn't one of those times. She disliked the idea of killing someone in front of a priest. But if someone's already been injured, there might not be another option. Shaking her head slightly, she looked back at Remus. "Hopefully today doesn't come to violence. But if it does, don't worry." She smiled warmly at the priest. "I'll make sure that no harm befalls you or any civilians in the area." One of the things Rayl had taught her was not only how to fight better, but to keep the attention of those who you're fighting away from the innocent. Plus, all her training left her much more confident in her fighting than she had all that time ago when she served under Richter. For the sake of the highwaymen, she hoped they came peacefully.

"I've no real experience with Highway men but I did er..get held up by muggers, and stabbed by assassins. Though..I guess that's not really the same thing..is it? Ah..never mind. I guess I imagined I could make it relevant but now that I think about it that wouldn't really be the same experience as fighting highway men would it? Er...well not me have the experience fighting..I can only heal but..yes..no I'm rambling sorry. " The blue haired priest quickly shook his head in self beration and chuckled a little smiling sheepishly. He was not really able to clearly convey the point so he had taken a moment to quiet himself. He spoke up after he mentally reconfigured his words and reallocated a better time of thought to it.
"I know what it is to be caught in a fight. Though kidnapping assassins make for a poor comparison to any real combat experience or open hand knowledge. It's probably best that you had come given you having as much experience in the field as you seem to if I could be so bold Milady. " While the priest walked he kept his staff within tight grip as a walking stick, keeping an eye out for their quarry down the road. The priest did not frown; but his tone changed to a most disapproving one as he agreed with her. "I fear that is a greater problem in the world. People preying on one another instead of helping them. Monsters run about, and people think to fight each-other first. How often do you hear of valliant deed's only to see they were accomplished against our fellow man..and then how often do you hear of feats involving souls trying to make Lycia safer..or Ilia, or Sacae? I've only recently learned more about this monster infestation. Baels in Lycia and Ilia, zombies in Lycia and Sacae. I guess..I think Etruria should be doing more to help though too. " The priest huffed out a sigh of sorts after a moment. Clearly frustrated on the topic far more than he'd let on with just a tone change. He kept his eyes peeled as they traveled the road; now getting further than they should have.
