Early in the morning, a Etrurian town is already bustling with business. The merchants haggle with potential customers, the sounds of boots and shoes hitting the ground, and the cheerful atmosphere made today seem like there are no troubles in the world. However, outside of this town, danger was waiting to strike at almost any moment. Bandit attacks on caravans, the appearance of abominations that were almost something straight out of hell, and the hidden growing tensions between other kingdoms are all problems that still plague the world today, yet nearly everyone here is not troubled in the least about the disastrous situation. Only a powerful army backing up brave, courageous heroes could possibly quell the situation to bring an everlasting peace for everyone.
...Kurtis is one of the many people that do not fit the criteria to save the world. Currently on guard duty in the busy market, he watches over the citizens to make sure there is are no problems, although it seems rather pointless, given the atmosphere and mood at the moment. It's also probably best this way as well, he may have gotten in the way of the heroes, or even just end up as a bench warmer in case one of them went down, and according to the recruits, rarely happens. Well, he should still follow through with his duty, he promised this much after all. Kurtis crosses his arms, staring into the crowd of people, his sword in a sheath placed on his hip. His horse stands close to a pole, being near him should any trouble happen from a long distance.
