The local town of Leaville was hosting its yearly harvest festival. This year was even more abundant than the last, so the general cheer of the atmosphere was even higher than the previous. It seemed as though such an occurrence was only one every few decades. With the current atmosphere of war on the continent, such positive news was highly welcome by the villagers. So with much hop to their steps, the whole area became lighted with their excitement.
Liv buzzed with much the same energy as the festival itself. As people moved to and fro, it was a wander not get swept up to the interactions. There were a variety of decorations littering the place. Many stands had snacks and food that she had never heard of or dreamed of having. The children in the village even played exciting new games that she had not heard of in ages. With that said, she was practically hopping from one location to the next with limitless exuberance.
It was a bright and sunny day, the the light about to reach noon. There was plenty of fun to be had before it got dark and even there she had heard whispers of celebrations to be had. Sadly Levity would want her back and resting before that happened, but even that didn't seem to ruin her wonderful mood. The night was a long ways off, though not as long as she would hope, plus she'll never know! Her big sis seemed to be busy in her own right and hadn't returned to town for a day now. The people looking over her didn't seem to mind her much at all or rather they could never seem to get ahold of her.
Running over to a fence, she waved at the animals on the other side before having the bright idea to hop onto one of the beams. She bounced on it a few times before once again running to the next interest. With that in mind, she was practically crackling, little sparks of magic rushing to the surface. Hopefully she didn't end up burning anything down by accident, but right now, she was more in danger of tackling someone out of pure elation.

Irisvielle was quite enjoying her walk about Leaville as it was that time of the year again when the great harvest festivities started. The bountiful harvest had been spread like wildfire through rumors across Lycia and Iris had plans to gather a few more days worth of supplies for her next planned adventure. Although she had been lectured about traveling about alone at her skill level being far less that wise she still had her dreams to aspire to.
I wonder how today festival will result in perhaps I could go look for a small group of people who were planning to cook some meals. After all it has been four hours since my last meal and I can hardly classify an apple as the breakfast and lunch of champions. Although I’ve only heard of champions but I still assume that they would have hearty meals filled with meats and the like for strength. She raised a finger up to her chin pondering as it gently tapped against her chin.
“Ok well this is a festival so I might as well get some of my shopping out of the way first and then think about seeing what type of fun activities are going about here.” Enjoying her plans she continue to walk forward, “Or perhaps I can get a nice juicy-”
Sideswiped by an unknown object Irisvielle had no time to think let alone react as she crashed into the ground sprawling out on her back with dazed expression. Lying upon dirty covered path she was lucky that she wasn’t cracking her head against bricks or stones but none the less it hurt like heck. Grimacing her body twitched in pain as the object of her great collision was probably following suit after her. Hopefully it was a softer fall then hers.

Bern was home, but as he had learned in Sacae; the world was a vast place. Many areas where he'd be able to enjoy himself and simply take in the sights and learn more about the living world around him. Gavin shifted a gloved hand up to tuck aside messily strewn blonde locks of hair as he moved along the dirt path. Small tufts of dry mud kicked up into dust around each step while he moved past the shouting people. He had his hood lifted over his head however as to keep a slight shade cast on his gaze from the sun; while also in part a mental safety barrier. The less people he could see, meant the less people he knew of that were observing him openly. With the olive green cloak trailing behind him and a quiver of arrows dipping into sight from beneath it running along the side of his hip he was obviously someone who belonged in the woods.
He held the plain iron infused wooden bow in his left hand by the center while he moved through out the town. A celebration of sorts was supposed to be going on he could only assume. Gavin was for the most part, out of touch with the society of Lycia. Sleeping in the wilderness, surviving off the land, and traveling usually off roads he only moved through towns when low on arrows. Unfortunately this had been such a case. However he could practically hear his grandfather, urging him to enjoy himself. The sudden shift of weight on his shoulder drew his attention to the large Goshawk Astor who sat perched, talons gripping the shoulder pauldron of leather he wore. Even with the armor he could feel a slight pressure from the raptor's grip.
Astor's head swiveled in observation as the bird of prey observed passerbys. However the sudden impact as a girl walking infront of Gavin was toppled by another smaller one caused the bird to release a piercing cry as it abruptly extended it's wings as if to take to the skies. Gavin abruptly looked down, quietly observing before he approached slowly. A few footsteps later he leaned over examining them as he spoke quietly. "Are you two okay..?"

Once again careless should really be Liv's real name. Well that and Trouble would be much more accurate than her current one can ever be. So it came to no surprise that she had managed to run and practically tackle another person to the ground. The force from her running and slamming into another caused her to fall down onto her back. The surprise had made her cry out from surprise, though she wondered if she could ever make a loud piercing cry like the one she heard.
"I'm okay!" she called out, hopping to her feet with the ease that only a little kid hyped on sugar might have. She had plans to get some sweets, but it wasn't exactly time for that now. The world was not yet ready for a hyped up Liv much less her usual self. Practically bouncing, she went and offered help up to the other girl she slammed into.
"Sorry, sorry, but isn't this fester so super awesome? I mean I'm still really excited! Wanna do this together, it'll be fun. I know lots of spot like here, there, them animals, there some games," she began to speak, pointing in what appeared to be random directions. In her pointing she noticed the birdie on a boy's shoulder.
"Oh pretty birdie, what's his name? What does he eat, is it a he or is it a she? Can we go get food and feet it?" she asked eagerly, bouncing on the tips of her toes. She was at least smart enough to not try to grab the bird or at least not yet. Remembering the fall though, she went back to offering help to the other girl.

Irisvielle recoiled from the impact with just a short period of groaning before she opened her eyes to see the girl who had caused the situation standing above her and offering her own assistance. She pulled herself up a bit and thankfully accepted the girls help. As she rose to her full height once again a hand slowly crawled against her rump and head to help console the impact. "Owie," she cringed consoling her battered body as she began to take in the sight of the girl who had been the source of her recent troubles.
"What on earth went," she asked before realizing that the short attention span of the child who plowed her over was already now fixed upon the stranger who was asking about how they were. Peering over toward the hunter she blinked noticing the bird that was perched upon his shoulder before recalling his concerned words. "Oh yeah don't worry I will be fine just a tumble I will be fine."
Pulling her hands away from the to soar location as to not look to weak and lady like as most of the world had seen her up to this point. "And yes the festivities are quite interesting although I was going to just go explore them myself?" Watching over the stranger before noticing the perpetrator of her tumble was once again concerned about her. "Don't worry about it as for the meal I was searching for a place to get a meal at as well as a few rations for the road. Do you know any places? Either of you?"

"Oh pretty birdie, what's his name? What does he eat, is it a he or is it a she? Can we go get food and feet it?"
Too many questions. Too much attention. Gavin took a step back, luckily the shadow cast from his hood masking the flicker of fear in his eye from the sudden outburst of the obviously overly excited girl. The flapping of Astor's wings and screech of normal noise he occasionally made drew his attention back however. Lifting his arm up into the air, Gavin clicked his tongue to his right cheek for a moment before answering the girl. The large bird flapped it's wings and rose upwards before taking perch upon the boy's armored forearm. The Goshawk tilted it's head and with a single large eye examined the two girls talking. Gavin spoke up, trying to answer all the questions in order.
"His name is Astor. He's a Goshawk not a normal bird. He eats smaller animals. Usually rabbits and mice or small foxes even at times; oh and birds. He's a he. If you wanted to get food to eat it, you'd have to find some small animal to feet him. He probably won't accept food from anyone but me though. "
However the mention of food made him realize Astor likely needed to hunt again soon. The young hunter extended his arm entirely and in a light throwing motion. The bird's heavy wings flapped twice as it's perch was robbed from hit; though knew the meaning and flew upwards into the air before soaring off into the sky with a screeching cry. For Astor; it was time to hunt and feast. Gavin however looked to the other girl who had started talking with a slight shrug.
"I hunt and forage for my food so..I admit I don't know off the top of my head. I originally came here for a few replacement arrows and some small things. I ah..didn't know so many..people..would be here today. "
That was a downside. SO many people.

"Pretty birdie went away," Liv said rather dejectedly. She watched as the Goshawk flew off too who knew where. Perhaps some other time, she'll get to try feeding it. She wondered if she could catch a animal herself, but usually she only managed a few lizards, but never smaller birds. Would it be considered bad for her to catch living things? She would feel bad since some of the animals he listed were really cute as well.
"Oh oh, then I can totally show you guys around. Big sis and I got in town long before they started putting everything up. I got an idea where everything is, so let's go! Let's go!" she cheered on eagerly, being rather pushy about leading them around. The two of them weren't that much older than she was, it seemed and she did want to play with others closer to her age. It usually seemed that she could relate to the younger people more than the older ones most of the times. She just hoped she could get along with most people she meet.
"I know it! I know it! There is delicious stand close by already," she urged, running around the two other's vicinity. The food stand she spoke of held many types of meat. She pointed towards the general direction, trying to get the others to follow, before deciding to begin tugging at their arms. They weren't going to get away from this feisty little one so easily. When she had taken interest with them, their fate for a fun time was practically sealed.

Irisvielle watched the Goshawk intensely blinking intermittently as she was rather amazed by the giant bird. I can't believe people have gone so far as to train such animals to perch upon their hand let alone to hunt and return to them. Must be fun flying about on much of your own free will although I guess he does have to return some time. She pondered the existence of life with wings and though of how happy her feet would be, although she then thought about how your wings would probably be soar instead.
"Well it is nice to meet you Astor and what would the name be of the man under the hood?" she pried trying to tilt her head about so she could get a good look at the mans face slowly forgetting the ache in her rump. Before she could be answered though the little firecracker burst back out with energy talking about how she would show them around.
"Um, wait you have a big sis who is in town? Shouldn't you be with her. You know it not being safe with strangers all about." She shot the girl a puzzled look. She fell silent though as the girl mentioned that she knew the perfect little place for a meal and nodded in agreement.
"Ok," she looked over toward where the girl was pointing a bit confused before feeling a tug on her arm. Irisvielle decided it would be best to humor her for now as she couldn't let someone as young as her out and about on her own. "What exactly do you both do?" Iris questioned attempting a bit of small talk.

"Pretty birdie went away,"
Okay, now he felt the not so gentle tug of guilt at his central composure. Gavin wasn't used to being around people in general other than his grandparents and the occasional stranger. To see this child of raw energy and literally ambient joy at the smallest of things had been a bit overwhelming for him. Astor was, despite a trained hawk, wild. The goshawk fended for himself, on most occasions at-least, and was likely able to chalk up the excitable small girl as one with much noise and motion. If that was how animals minds worked at-least. So to Gavin, it was a matter of simply not knowing how to react. He had opted to send Astor off to hunt. The raptor could have waited a time longer.
Now opting to show some modicum of trust..if nothing else to make a half hearted apologetic action towards the small child he'd disappointed, Gavin lifted one of his gloved hands to tug at his own hood. A curled mess of blonde hair obscured most of his cheeks and all of his forehead from sight. However it showed his youth, and perhaps the revelation of his genuine expressions might help to create some form of understanding. He didn't know how to read into voices very well and had to gauge sincerity often from body language. As Gavin lifted a hand to his hip, he looked at the girls respectively from smaller one to larger one before speaking in a quiet tone. While he spoke his lips seemed to have almost a small frown branded unto their poise.
"I...suppose that's acceptable?"
One of his leather-bound hands rested at his hip. Fingers coiling slowly around the strap that kept his arrow quiver firmly attached, showing their intent to be little beyond a spot to rest his hand without it dangling. He shifted his weight to his left leg while he chimed in a second time. His tone was far quieted than a normal persons, in almost a hushed voice. It was due to his time spent alone in nature, sometimes going hours or even days without speaking to others. Save passing moments of verbally expressed thought to Astor.
"I'll follow you two for now. Lead on."
