Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice (Open)

"Man I do love Saturdays", spoke Xin aloud as he laid back on his bed. It had been two weeks since they cleared that road. Though Xin and Fin could not take credit for that one. It was mostly Yorick's word. Still they received a bit of gold from the next town over as a thanks for there hard work. The time between that and now was spent training. Fin did not like Xin's performance in the assault. She declared the two of them needed to train and as a result the next few weeks was a living hell. However that was all over. Fin received a letter from her mother calling her to come to the city of Arc, which was three days away. Summoned to deal with family business Xin was finally free to lazy around till she returned.

"Well I guess I have slept enough" spoke Xin as he rose from his bed and grabbed his sword. The young mercenary was not sure what he was going to do, but he sure knew he was not going to spend today entirely in bed. Fin was gone and that meant a hole new possibility of entertainment was open. As long as Fin was around Xin was limited to three things training, searching for contracts, and eating. Now he could indulge in more age appropriate task. The one occupying his mind right now was of course the ladies. Xin never had a girlfriend. This was largely due to Fin. Every time he would get close to another female Fin would come and scare her away. Shoot she would not even allow him to talk to any girl around there age. As soon as he started a conversation she would drag him off to train or bring up some mission they could take. It was like she wanted Xin to die alone or something.

"Alright lets go talk to some chicks", spoke Xin as he strapped his longsword onto his back. A mercenary should never be without his sword. That was the first lesson his mother taught him. You never really know who or what is around the corner.

"Ouch", spoke Xin as a apple slammed right into his nose. It was ironic. His mother had told him that you never know what was around the corner and apparently this time it was a apple. "Oh come on universe", shouted Xin as he pulled himself off the ground. The chances of him turning the corner and getting hit by a apple was like a bajillion to one. Still the young mercenary hoped that something good would come out of this. According to his mother books, which he did not read by the way, people who are intertwined by destiny meeting in such complete random ways. It could be good, one can meet the love of there life and move into a happy relationship. Or it could be bad. One can meet there eternal rival who kills everyone they love and eventually cause there tragic death. Life was so cruel in the pages. Still Xin preyed for the first. Maybe he would finally escape the clutches of Fin. That girl needed a hobby.

As Xin looked in the direction from where the apple flew his eyes sparked like the ocean, and then set like afternoon sun. "Ah crap it is a granny", shouted Xin in frustration. Sure the women was pretty enough, but not by Xin's standards. The young mercenary wanted a women who was... not a grandmother. You were practically dead after you reached 30. Shoot she was as probably as old as his mother. "Great there goes that destiny crap", spoke Xin as he picked up the apple. "Hey grandma watch where you throw your garbage", shouted Xin as he tossed the apple back. He preyed to the heavens that he would hit the women in the back of her head, but so far the heavens have not been on his side.

"Well lets see if there are any babes in town", spoke Xin as he began to walk away.
