It had been two days since Ventus left his home and went on an adventure to experience Elibe. He decided that he would go to Ilia first and then probably Sacae. The first nights alone in the woods along the road he had been traveling on terrified him. He wasn't quite sure if he was cut out for this adventure. ""I have to though! This adventure was my grandfather's dying wish,"he told himself. He knew the adventure wouldn't be easy, but after time it would get easier.
"I do miss having a nice bed to rest on though. Also, some food rather than bread would be rather amazing." He groaned. After getting up from his makeshift resting area, Ventus had to stretch out his body since it was so sore. However, he soon got a cramp in his leg that tightened up. "OW! Ow, ow, ow!"He screamed and shouted as the cramp continued to tighten up. Suddenly, a growl was heard by a nearby hickory bush. Soon after the growl, rustling of leaves were heard. "I am not dying with not even have been traveling for a week!"He screeched and tried to run as hard as he could, but his cramp made him gain a limp. Ventus ran/limped as fast and for as long as he could until he gave out and fell...
"Aw shucks! Now I have a gash on my knee and no idea where I'm at! This is just a greatday!" Ventus was starting to question whether or not this quest was for him. He had never really been a quitter, but this is proving to be quite difficult for Ventus. All of the little troubles that have come up on his adventure like having nothing nice to sleep on, or the boring food aren't what truly bothers Ventus. It's the fact that he is all alone going on this great, big adventure.
While Ventus wonders what to do, he looks up from the ground and sees a gate. This gate was an entrance to a small town supposedly east of Delfia towards Modlin. Ventus decided to spend the night at this new town he discovered. As Ventus explored it a bit and wrote a description about it in the journal that his grandfather gave him. He saw how there was a main plaza in the middle of the town with buildings circling around it. Ventus finally found the town inn and entered it with hopes high of a restful night. He got a room for a cheap price and then went to the clinic next door to look for someone to heal his knee. The cramp in his leg finally left a little ago. As he entered, a girl about the same age as him smiled and waved for him to come in. Ventus walked forward and sat down in a chair. The girl seemed to be a cleric and got out a staff. After a few chanting words, a glow came from the staff and the gash on Ventus's knee healed over.
"Thanks so much! What's your name?"Just before the girl was about to answer, a few men barged into the clinic demanding for money and healing items. As the girl and Ventus just watched the robbers in fear steal the items, the clinic was being torn up. Ventus started to bring out his Fire tome, but realized he knew basically nothing about fighting. He needed help! Suddenly, one of the robbers pushed down Ventus and grabbed the girl. They fled the scene leaving Ventus on the ground. He knew that he had to save her, but by himself was probably impossible...

"You! Prepare to meet the wrath of Elimine!"
The Valkyrie charged forward out of a back room, leaving her patient in a bemused, newly-healed state as she barreled into the main room as the robbers exited "con niña." Raising her hands in exasperation, she looked around, noticing a kid on the ground with a book of magic. Fire, undoubtedly. He was a little young to be casting, but whatever.
"You! Child! Elimine calls you to do your duty!"
Beckoning, she raced out of the clinic, summoning up the power of Elimine's light and leaping onto Storm, her steed. A second thought flashed through her mind, and she turned back, waving her hands at the boy and letting a soft golden glow envelop him.
The magic of Luce would inspire him, fill him with energy, and prompt him to fight. It would be a glorious feeling, and she hoped it would give him the boost he needed to overcome whatever fear was keeping him on the ground. So she turned back and spurred her steed forward, chasing after the robbers. As she advanced on them, she raised her hand, bringing it down and calling a bolt of light from the sky, which exploded in front of the man carrying the cleric. The dazzling glow caused him to briefly pause, and in that crucial time, she had already galloped in front of them, turning to form a crude blockade as she held her hands up, ready to use her power to aid the innocent cleric.

"Um. Okay?" Ventus said to himself as the random lady charged out of the clinic in a hurry. He wondered if she could save the innocent girl alone. Suddenly, he felt a burst of energy and courage. He never felt so inspired before, especially not to fight. "I suppose I should fulfill my 'duty' just like the lady said. I will save the girl!" Ventus exclaimed as he got up from the spot where one of the robbers pushed him down and started to run outside.
Once outside, he saw a bright light come down from the sky. A moment later after the light went away, Ventus noticed that the lady seemed to have acquired a horse and managed to block the robbers off from escape.
"Time to stop these brigands!" Ventus opened up his Fire tome and soon he managed to conjure a small fireball. He flung it at one of the robbers in the back of the group where they were facing the valiant lady on the horse. However, his aim sort of ... well got his fireball hitting a small tree near the robbers rather than the actual robber. The tree started to catch on fire and civilians started to flee in fear from the small fire and the fight. "Oh. Whoops! That one was on me!" Ventus shouted to the fleeing townsfolk. He turned back to the fight and saw some the robbers laughing at him. Ventus showed a look of embarrassment, but then he could once again feel Luce's power of encouragement and inspiration. Ventus concentrated and conjured another fireball, this one being slightly bigger than the last. While a few of the robbers were still laughing with each other, Ventus flung his fireball at the closest robber and managed to hit him."Bullseye!" Ventus exclaimed in glee.
"Prepare to die kid!" One of the robbers in the back of the small group yelled. The one that got hit by the fireball was trying to brush off the flames while shouting in agony. Ventus's cheering for his successful attack died away quickly once two of the robbers started to charge him. Ventus gulped and prepared for whats to come.
"Oh please help me St. Elimine..."

"Elimine shall keep you safe!"
A blast of Luce slammed into the main body of the robbers, the men slowed, fear creeping into their minds. What if the boy had more power he wasn't showing? What if they'd picked the wrong battle?
Actually, they had.
Willow raised her hands and sent a bolt of Light into one of the men, smiling grimly as Elimine's power sent the criminal to the ground, wailing. Her eyes flashed, and she turned to the two still advancing on the younger boy.
"Halt! Elimine commands it!"
When they did not halt, she summoned up her full power and utterly annihilated the man, pumping three blasts of light into him and leaving him on the ground, his soul burnt beyond repair. The man himself seemed intact, save his eyes, which had been blasted out of their sockets, but he was still and motionless. His heart continued to beat, but there was nothing going on upstairs. It was as if he'd lost any will to live... And so he faded away and his body shut down, sending him to Judgement.
"Dodge, child, and fight! Elimine shall not abandon you, and neither shall I! Our Blessed Saint has given us the power to strike against evil, to fight for what we believe in... And so you must never give in! Fight! Use your power to defeat those who seek to bring evil. Save the girl! Save the day! You can do it!"
More Luce to the boy. That should give him a bit of a boost. He'd feel empowered, invigorated... Great.

"I shall fight! I will save the girl!"Ventus exclaimed after he felt Luce's power again for a second time. As flashes of light were engulfing the battlefield and taking down enemies, Ventus still noticed one of the two charging bandits coming closer to him with his axe in battle ready position. As the brigand came right in front of Ventus, he brought down his axe in a vertical slash. Ventus used his small size to jump to the left. He stumbled a bit and then recovered after a few seconds. Ventus opened his tome and concentrated once again to create another fireball. "Stay away from this town!" Ventus roared at the brigand as he threw the fireball straight at his chest as the brigand was trying to pick up his axe from the ground. The fireball struck square in the chest and the robber yelped in pain. The robber ran away trying to get rid of the flames on his chest.
As the valiant Valkyrie and the young pupil worked together to fight the robbers, the robbers finally realized that victory was unattainable. They ran their separate ways leaving behind all the supplies, medical items, and the cleric in need of rescue. The cleric ran up to Ventus and gave him a hug.
"Thank you so much for saving me! My name is Aria, a town cleric." Aria squealed in glee for being rescued and for meeting her savior. She turned from Ventus towards Willow. "Thank you Willow as well! If you weren't here then I'm sure those brigands would have got me." She looked at Ventus, "I mean ... uh-"
"It's okay Aria. I know I couldn't have taken those brigands without ... um ... Willow was it? Ventus asks the Valkyrie having a smile on his face.

"Flee, flee while you can! Judgement day will come to you... And you will be punished! Repent while you can!"
The Valkyrie smiled, letting the golden magic of the Light fade away. Getting down from Storm, Willow walked over, looking over the recovered goods with a proud expression and a twinkle in her eyes. Yes. Elimine was with them, and She had just given them this glorious victory.
"Our Blessed Saint has brought us a glorious victory - we must rejoice and give thanks for this boon."
Willow looked over the two young ones, her staff clinking unused on her belt. They had survived without injury. That was truly a great blessing, and she was glad her heavenly magic could be of use in inspiring this young boy to act and fight and stand tall.
"Yes. I am Willow, wife to Oya, a Valkyrie of Etruria. I am dedicated to the Light and the will of our Blessed Saint, and I am glad to have been able to fight for justice alongside you. You two seem content; I am relieved. How are you called, young man? I know Aria, but briefly, but I have never met you. How came you to be in the clinic, just in time to save our Cleric from a terrible fate?"
Willow looked over the two. They were rather cute, in that young and innocent sense. She thought of her own love, her eyes twinkling a bit more, but she shoved the thought out of her mind in order to listen to the boy's reply.

"My name is Ventus. Ventus Stoll to be precise." The boy smiled at Willow as he gave her a bow. He wondered how she became to be so powerful with the light. Her introduction made her sound like a happy wife with a happy life, but Ventus could tell she was experienced with adventure. "Well I happened upon this town by chance. I begun a journey not to long ago to complete my-" Ventus stopped and looked down a bit. He thought about his grandfather and how he bravely died defending Ventus and a village from thugs. Ever since he lost his grandfather, Ventus has felt so alone. Sorrow started to creep inward towards Ventus's heart. However, Ventus looked up to Willow and felt reassured by her kind spirit.
"-Grandfather's dying wish" Ventus finished with a hushed tone. As Ventus was about to continue, Aria took his hand and held it to show her sympathy. Ventus smiled at Aria and looked back to Willow. "My grandfather gave me a journal for my fifteenth birthday. This journal was meant to be filled with tales from the adventure that my grandfather and I were suppose to be on right now. However, since he was murdered I chose to take on the journey for the both of us. Now I'm here after a few ... um complications to put it in a simple way and got caught up in this situation. I'm glad that I got dragged into this because now I got to meet new people and have a good experience overall. Thanks by the way Willow for helping me build confidence and courage." Ventus beamed a smile at Willow and felt very thankful for all her help.

"My name is Ventus. Ventus Stoll to be precise."
Ventus Stoll... The name was unfamiliar, which was not surprising, but it was a fine name. A name that suggested currents of wind, gales and driving winds... Perhaps she was just a crazy woman, but she thought this one might have a bright future. A future graced by adventure and power. A future that might bring his name to the forefront of the mind, a future that would ensure his name lived on.
"I am honored to meet you as well, Ventus."
"Well I happened upon this town by chance. I begun a journey not to long ago to complete my-Grandfather's dying wish."
"Your grandfather's dying wish..."
"My grandfather gave me a journal for my fifteenth birthday. This journal was meant to be filled with tales from the adventure that my grandfather and I were suppose to be on right now. "A journey... You are journeying alone? Hmm."
The Valkyrie looked on at the boy, who stood tall and firm, despite his ordeal. He had heart and bravery, but... Could he survive on his own?
"Ventus Stoll! If you are to travel... Why not take a companion, or travel for a while in a group? The roads are dangerous, and the world is not as friendly as it once might have been.
For instance, you could travel with me - if you're going the same direction as I, I would be glad to accompany you.
Or... You could take Aria. She is, after all, in the care of the Church. If you promise to take care of you, I'm sure she would accompany you to the next town.
The last option? Mercenaries. They care for their own quite well, like a mother bear does for her cubs.
I do not mean to infringe upon your journey, but I worry for your safety traveling alone."

Ventus pondered on the ideas Willow presented. Mercenary life didn't seem to be of interest to Ventus, at least not yet. Aria could make a good companion and an even better friend. She seemed like a sincere girl that could be surely useful in his journey with her healing abilities. On top of that, she seemed to have a great attitude.
The idea of traveling with Willow sounded nice, but Ventus didn't want to be a burden to her with his inexperience. Willow may prove to be a great companion and mentor, but Ventus wanted to see all of Elibe. Willow seemed to already have a destination in mind. Ventus figured that he should just ask her where that destination is going to be and make a decision based off of that.
"Where are you planning on heading next Willow?" Ventus asked wondering what the majestic Valkyrie's next destination would be.

"I will be going to Sacae. My presence is needed with my husband, who is leading a great project there. Any able-bodied man or woman who appreciates the Will of Elimine should feel in them the burning desire to fight for his or her country and his or her Blessed Saint."
The Valkyrie widened her hands, gesturing towards the sky.
"The sounds of soldiers, the sounds of horses... The great blare of trumpet and drum... Aye, the Grand Army of the Inquisition is the place for young men to find themselves.
If you simply are a traveler, feel no imposition to join up - but that is where I am headed. My husband is commanding the forces in their expedition. If you too are bound towards Sacae, you are free to travel alongside me for a while. I will protect you, and we can exchange stories of travel, stories of olden days and mysterious origins. But if you are bound for other climes, I shall not deter you, but will only offer you the blessing of our Beloved Saint to speed you and shield you on your journey."
The Valkyrie looked, smiling, at the two young people. They held lives full of such promise, such energy, such potential. She was truly interested in what they would accomplish with their lives, where they would end up, what they would become. Saint? Sinner? Friend? Foe? Perhaps all, perhaps none. Life was a gift and a blessing, and she was simply grateful for the one she had been given.

Is that what I should do? Fight for Etruria and St. Elimine? Ventus thought to himself for a minute. Fighting for an army didn't seem to be something that Ventus ever considered of doing. Once again, Ventus thought of his grandfather and realized that he must go on this journey first and then move on to the next part of life. However, he didn't want to go on this adventure alone...
"I am grateful for your offer Lady Willow, but I must travel Elibe for a while before I do anything serious like join the Grand Army of the Inquisition. I also don't want to be a burden to you." He turned to Aria."Aria, would you please come with me on my journey. I'm sure we would have a great journey full of fun, laughter, and adventure. Please say yes!" Ventus pleaded Aria with begging eyes.
"Well Ventus ..." She paused before she spoke again. "I would love to go! I want to spread the power of St. Elimine's will across Elibe just like Lady Willow does." She turned to Willow and smiled at her before turning back to Ventus.
"Awesome!" Ventus said ecstatically. "I can't wait for the rest of this journey. Willow thanks again for everything. I hope you have safe travels and that we will meet again another time. We may even eventually see each other in Sacae one day!" Ventus finished feeling more happy than ever so far on his journey.

"Aye. Traveling is a cure for the restless soul, and it will make you a man and a hero. You will make your own destiny. You will shape the world you live in, and you will touch the face of the earth - such is your power over your self and your future.
Always hold yourself in the highest regard. Always hold others equally high. Always trust in yourself and trust in others, and you will form bonds that will sustain and defend you from any threat that may arise. You will stay, strong and focused, while the storms of malice beat harmlessly about you."
The Valkyrie raised her hands, waving them over Ventus and Aria as they stood together.
"May our Blessed Saint protect you and keep you on your travels. May your days be mild and your nights warm. May your roads be flat and the bushes green and safe. May you be protected from the dangers of banditry and the allures of vice - and may your virtue be your shield as you progress through life."
There was a glow of golden light, and tiny flecks of gold descended upon them as Willow cast a small, beautiful blossom of Luce upon them. They were indeed destined for greatness and adventure, and she wished them all the best on their journey. Smiling, Willow gave the Cleric a formal bow, and held up her staff. "Use your power wisely to protect Ventus. And Ventus? The same goes for you. You are responsible for each other now."

"Use your power wisely to protect Ventus. And Ventus? The same goes for you. You are responsible for each other now."
Ventus and Aria looked at each other and just laughed. They both knew that good times awaited them on their path. It was just up to them on how to handle them. Aria turned to Willow.
"I hope St. Elimine shall follow you in your travels. I just know that out Lord will bring us together some day." She turned to Ventus and nodded to him. Ventus smiled back and started to walk towards the entrance, which led to the main road. Aria followed with her heal stave in hand along with a small bag containing some medical items and some food. Ventus turned and offered to hold her bag. She thanked him as she gave the pupil her bag. Ventus wrapped it around his shoulder and continued to walk to the road. As they reached the entrance to the small town, they look left and right.
"Which way Ventus? I will follow your lead." Aria looked to him for guidance. Ventus thought for a second and looked back to look for Willow. No, I have to make this decision myself. I'll never get anywhere if I can't decide which way to go on a simple path. Ventus took a leap of faith and chose left.
"Are you sure about that? Left leads to Ilia. Are you still going to choose left?
"Yeah, it's time to explore someplace new." Ventus told her reassuringly. He turned around and saw Willow one last time. He waved goodbye to her and then led Aria out onto the road, ready for whatever is to come...
