"Mmm. We shall see. Only time will tell what the will of the tribe is."
As they entered the tavern, Tamaya looked around carefully, scanning all the men for potential threats or anything else to be aware of. No one in particular struck her as overtly dangerous or devious, although one did wink in quite a lewd manner. She ignored him. By now, she was used to all sorts of come-ons and vulgarities. It was just a part of life, it seemed.
Then the swordsman led her to his commander, the man called Ulfric. He seemed competent and capable, his dark eyes carefully inspecting her and no doubt evaluating her worth in combat. She met his gaze, inclining her head in the traditional respectful tribal greeting, and took the proffered hand, shaking his firmly before chuckling at Siegfried's explanation of their meeting.
Wait - it's not like that, I'm afraid? Ai, the swordsman was sweet on her! How nice. She made a mental note to be nicer to him, so that he would feel more comfortable. She did not want to make him pine like so many of the fickle women did. They could have as close a bond as any, and there need not be any melancholy or heartthrobs involved. While she wasn't particularly interested in a relationship, friends were always nice to have.
"It was indeed fortunate that some guards were able to defuse the situation in time. Ai, I would feel most regretful if I injured Seegfried. He is quite the conversationalist, and from his demeanor I assume a competent swordsman as well. I came with him after her mentioned the possibility of my working with your band on a job; I hope to train myself and become more in sync with my bow, Mphezi-Manja."

Ulfric grunted when Tamaya mentioned working alongside his group. Her sized her up briefly before giving a shrug, "If you mean to work a job with Siegfried then by all means, go ahead. I'd rather keep that separate from the guild though. You're not among us, so anything is yours completely, whereas we all pool in a fraction of our earnings for the guild to use,"
Siegfried smiled at his boss. It was an example of Ulfric being kind, actually. If he let her work a job directly with the group he'd want her to share a bit of her pay with the guild, but if she just worked a job with Siegfried himself then she'd be exempt from that. It was a bit of a shame, as Rolf, their guild's archer, could probably teach her a thing or two. But perhaps that could wait for another day.
"Sounds good to me, boss. I've confidence in her ability, so I don't mind working a job with just her," He said with a chuckle, "Besides I could use some experience with fewer numbers. The past few jobs have required each and every one of us to be involved,"
"Aye, I'm not fond of doing too many jobs like that either," Ulfric agreed with a nod, "It means that job is the only source of income until we finish it, whereas taking on numerous jobs brings money in from multiple fronts. Spreads our reputation faster as well,"
The brunette smirked and took another sip of his ale before continuing, "Just make sure to keep focused on the job, hmm? Don't let her charm lure you to your grave lad. Between the Sacaens and them Nabatans I couldn't tell you how many men have been wounded because their gazes lingered for too long,"
Siegfried blushed a bit and chuckled. It was more teasing, sure, but it was also Ulfric's way of warning him to be a bit careful. While working a job for the guild on his on was beneficial for the guild itself, it was dangerous for him. Less man-power to back him up and all that. Siegfried was confident he was up to the task and, as such, turned to face Tamaya.
"All right. Did you want to rest up here before we go hunt for a job? Or did you want to head out now?"

"I see; I will accept your gracious offer."
As the conversation flowed between the swordsman and his commander, Tamaya listened in, taking note of the many different factors associated with guild life. They shared their gold among one another, and always wanted to have multiple contracts active, in order to spread their reputation and garner more wealth.
"Just make sure to keep focused on the job, hmm? Don't let her charm lure you to your grave lad. Between the Sacaens and them Nabatans I couldn't tell you how many men have been wounded because their gazes lingered for too long"
And Siegfried was also supposed to be on his guard, so that he didn't die while distracted... oh.
Tamaya shook her head slowly. She doubted that she'd be doing any distracting. Either way, when Siegfried offered to set out to find a new job to take on, the Nomad smiled broadly.
"Unless you would like to rest, friend Seegfreed, I would be more than happy to set out now. My bow is ready and my heart is firm - I hope to be able to fight to bring honor to my tribe and to become closer to my bow."
The Nomad stretched her arms, cracking her joints and then shaking her head, swiping her hair out of her face before turning to Ulfric.
"Thank you, Commander Ulfric, for allowing Seegfreed to fight with me and I with him. We will bring back a victory to bring glory to our names and to yours!"

"Ah, just see that you survive, hm lass? And bring good coin if you do," Ulfric stated with a smirk before turning to speak to another man, gripping his mug and chuckling as he did so.
Well, they had Ulfric's blessing it seemed, not that Siegfried had been worried about that. The blonde mercenary turned to the Sacaen when she stated that she was ready to go, "I'm pretty much good to go as well, so we may as well go out there and see what we can find,"
Siegfried smiled as he headed for the tavern doors. He hoped they'd be able to find a good, exciting job. Of course if the job was too exciting then it was likely a bit too dangerous, but...well, the whole point of this was for Siegfried to really prove himself to Ulfric. Prove that he could handle a job successfully without being babied by the other mercenaries in the guild. Sure he had Tamaya with him, but she was but one more fighter.
He needed a challenge to prove his worth, a true test to see how much his skills had improved. That was more important than the amount of gold he could net from the job, far more important. Alas, again, Siegfried could only hope he'd find such a job.
Siegfried held the doors open and turned his head towards the Sacaen, giving her a smile before gesturing outside of the doors, "After you, milady," He said with a chuckle.
