Don't get too excited for Beekeeper or Majin classes yet, just some relatively minor changes to weapon availability, one new class path, and the addition of a new class to fill a niche that was never really attended to very well before.
Weapons
Reasoning: there were a few too many classes that could just use every weapon for no real reason, which made class upgrades and weapon choices fairly brainless and tended to give them an advantage over their competition. While we don't have a conceptual problem with access to more than two weapons, that's more of a Champion 'mastery' level thing - Advanced classes generally focus on 1-2 weapons and it seemed fitting to adjust the few outliers to better represent that. If you are in one of the affected classes, PM a mod or post here and you'll get a 100% refund on anything that is no longer usable.
Class Upgrades
Reasoning: we felt there was no real sense in allowing Anima/Dark while limiting it solely to Shaman class promotions, so now Mages can fall to the dark side after being tempted by REAL power. Or they can go be Sages like dirty scrubs. I'm not judging you... much.
Class Additions
Reasoning: Swords have Swordmasters, and Heroes as a hybrid alternative. Axes have Berserkers, and Warriors as a hybrid alternative. Bows have Snipers, with Yeoman as a hybrid alternative. Lances had... Halberdiers, who WERE the hybrid alternative. Lancers are essentially just the stabby version of Swordmaster/Berserker, focusing on speed and piercing power.
Weapons
- Halberdier loses axes, are now Lance/Sword
- General loses swords, are now Lance/Axe
- Paladins lose axes, are now Lance/Sword
- Great Knights lose swords, are now Lance/Axe
