Rixsch sat at the wooden table holding a piece of paper. He looked at it deeply. "I must've checked everywhere in Caelin. Well, I need to begin travelling and check around Lycia," said Rixsch to himself. He lay his face down on the table and grumbled "I'll never be able to do this without any leads." Rixsch felt someone tap him on the shoulder. "Hmm?" He said whilst looking up, he noticed a cloaked person exit the tavern. A small piece of paper was laid out on the table. Rixsch picked it up and it read "I know what you want, come to the village entrance at dusk." Rixsch held the piece of paper and chuckled. "Is this a proper lead? Haha, truly the gods smile upon me today." He said triumphantly. However, he could not help but seem suspicious. Some of the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, and he shivered slightly.

With a thunderous sound and a loud boom the doors to the tavern kicked open. Walking into the building was a tall man standing just over seven feet tall. On his left and right shoulders where to big wooden crates with white paper sticking out the top of it. Inside of the crates themselves where several lumps of uncooked meat straight from the butcher. "Behold", shouted a booming voice as Gaston made his entrance into the tavern. The hunter had one heck of a night and had caught at least four bucks. After butchering it up along with the local butcher Gaston took his bounty to the local tavern. "Barkeep fire up all your stoves and prepare for a feast", shouted the man as he set the hug wooden crates down on the counter. "I want it all cooked up and given out to any and everyone who enters the tavern today. Let them know that Gaston, the mighty hunger has brought forth a great bounty!"
"Free meat", spoke several of the patrons as they looked at the burly man with confusion. Surely he was planning on making people pay for it or even charging the tavern owner for the bounty, but no Gaston was giving it away for free. They did not understand it, but for Gaston the attention and gratitude of everyone in the village was enough. He reveled in it. There was no greater feeling than to be admired and Gaston was a admirable guy.
"Of course I don't plan to make you work for free", spoke Gaston as he tossed a bag of coin onto the counter. The old barkeep looked at the bag and estimated how much was in it by its weight. The coin Gaston was using to pay for this feast was from fur of the hunt itself, that and a few beavers he caught not to long ago. Money was never a thing for Gaston. He could hunt his own food, make his own arrows, and when he wanted to sleep sell some furs for coin. Life was good to him and as a result he shared his wealth with others, for a fee of admiration of course. "That is enough", spoke the man as he removed the crates from the counter top and took them to the back.
"Holy crap free dinner", spoke a man as he walked out to tell others of the man's generosity. Revealing in it all was Gaston. He truly loved to be alive.

Rixsch was startled by the sudden entrance of the bulky man, causing him to drop the piece of paper he was holding. He watched as it fluttered to the ground. "Ugh, what was tha-" He stopped when he saw the figure in the doorway. "Oh, no..." He said to himself whilst picking up the paper. He dusted it off and begun to look at it again. "So, if I'm here now, and that is there..." He begun to mutter something practically indecipherable. Rixsch had a habit of mumbling random things when he was thinking, causing most to either be concerned or downright confused. He prodded different parts of the paper with a puzzled expression. He soon gave up and lay the paper on the table, next to the note he had been given. He lay back in his chair and tucked his arms behind his head. Rixsch then remembered, HE was there, meaning that any relaxation would seen be drowned out by his narcissistic chatter. He probably only paid for everyones meal just to show off to everyone. Rixsch may aspire to be like him , but Rixsch preferred to be on the sidelines than be the center of attention and when speaking to Gaston, that can be quite difficult, as he usually shouted everything he says. Sure, he seemed to be a decent man, but his attention seeking nature irked Rixsch. He got up and sighed "well, I should probably go now, I know if Gaston notices me, I probably wont get on with anything for an age."

"Hold the door", shouted Gaston as he saw his sword swinging friend leaving the tavern. Gaston could only guess why he was leaving. Clearly Gaston had walked into the room. Why would you leave now. It made no logical sense. Unless, yes that could be it, he was shy about the entire ordeal. It was a courageous moment he should not shy away from valor. "Rixsch where do you think your going in such a hurry", boomed Gaston as he stumped across the building and walked up to the Myrmidon. "Hey everyone listen to this", shouted the big lunk as he grabbed everyone in the rooms attention. "You see this scrawny kid right here. Well I meet him before I moved to capture the bucks that now make this grand feat. He and his one little rusty sword had the courage to go and hunt down the brigands that pledged the road. That is right, this lad right here", spoke Gaston as he grabbed his hand and raised it into the air. "Not only did he have the courage to face the burly bear men of the forest, but he also slew there leader in single combat. Not a single arrow from my mighty blow. Just him, his rusty blade, and the brigands chest. So cheers for the great hero Rixsch! Thanks to him and me the roads are a lot safer!"
"To Rixsch and Gaston", shouted a man as the tavern exploded in cheer. Most of it was mainly due to the fact that Gaston was pretty much giving everyone a free meal. So anything he said they where pretty much going to simply agree with. Though many of them doubted that Gaston's tale was true. A boy taking down a bandit chief it was a bit far fetch, but then again it was coming from the man who caught four bucks.
"See Rixsch nothing to be shy about", spoke Gaston as he looked at his sword wielding friend. "You should really revel in your victories. Put some pride in your chest and ladies swooning at your feet."

Ace watched the men in the tavern cheer to these supposed heroes, Rixsch and Gaston. I wonder if that story is true. They seem like an unlikely pair to be taking down brigands together. They seem like opposites just by the looks of them, both in personality and physicality. Ace was glad though that he didn't have to pay for dinner that night since the bigger man named Gaston brought in food that was delivered for free. That was awfully kind of him. He must have some motive for giving away free food like that. Is he trying to gain the townsfolk's trust for something? Ace continued to wonder to himself what kind of motive this man had. The cavalier always seemed to get suspicious over even the littlest of events and actions.
Ace just happened to be in this tavern in Caelin because he needed a break from traveling to Bern. His horse, Troy, was waiting outside. Together, they were traveling to Bern for a job that was suppose to pay well. Ace didn't know the specifics of it, but he just knew that there was a guaranteed good pay. At least he hoped there would be. Ace was quite low with money in his pocket. He hoped he would have enough just to get him to Bern.
The cavalier was sitting at a table in the corner of the tavern. He happened to notice a strange cloak man come up to the young man named Rixsch before the man named Gaston gave away the food. That is quite a strange name, Rixsch. I'm not sure if I'm really able to pronounce it properly. Anyways, Ace noticed that this Rixsch was holding a piece of paper. He seemed to turn a bit happier when he read it. Then, of course, the tavern turned into a mad house once Gaston gave away the food. Rixsch tried to leave, but Gaston saw him and told the story. Ace didn't really care too much about the story, but rather what that paper said. Maybe it led to some treasure or something. Whatever it was, Ace was interested in what that paper read. Maybe Ace could help Rixsch and get some of the reward that comes out of this. The blonde cavalier rose from his seat and begun to walk to the exit of the tavern towards where the two "heroes" were standing

'Oh, gods, no...' Rixsch thought as Gaston raised his arm 'Gaston, why?' He shook his arm free from the grasp of the large man "uh, y-yeah, well, I mean, it wasn't all me, I probably wouldn't be able to do it myself, I mean, I'm just one guy who had a barely functioning sword." He said, scratching the back of his head and laughing in a very nervous manner. As a man toasted to him and Gaston, his eyes widened 'now, I'm the centre of attention, great, how am I supposed to get things done when I'm being watched by everyone?!' Rixsch may have been smiling on the outside, but he was practically screaming on the inside. "So, Gaston, why'd you come here, I thought you were travelling out of Caelin?" He said, trying to start a conversation with someone he at least knows to try and take his mind off of the unneeded - and unwanted - attention. "And why're you so generous with all that hunting you've done? I mean, if you'd have stored that correctly, that could've lasted you months, or you could've made some decent coin." He asked, perplexed by the motives of the hulking man. He then noticed another man beginning to walk towards them and the exit to the tavern, he turned his head towards him, Rixsch's long hair trailing behind the movement, much like a flame in the wind.
(Rixsch is pronounced 'Risk', I know, its a strange name, but it's a name I've stuck to for a lot of places)

"OH that is simple", spoke Gaston as he looked at his young friend. He then pointed his thumb at himself and let off a cheesiest one liner in the history of Elibie. "It is because I am admirable", he spoke while looking into his young friends eyes. He then let out a booming laugh as he began to expand on his statement. "It is the same reason why I helped you lad. I don't do things for coin. I do things because I am suppose to do things. I wanted to celebrate our victory the other day so I went hunting. Eating all of this meat by myself is no celebration so I brought it here. Not only do I get to enjoy a feast, but everyone else gets a free meal no", spoke Gaston. Of course he left the part about the praises and cheers in the back of his head. Only a fool reveals there true motives. "Listen Rixsch life's greatest rewards are not about coin and personal wealth. The admiration of the people around you and good deeds are more than enough to satisfy Gaston", spoke the man as he turned toward the man now approaching the two of them.
At one point it looked as if Gaston was going to go talk to him, but then he noticed somebody else. The other person was far thinner, had milky white skin, and so happen to be a member of the opposite gender. As a result she took presence over the blonde man and Gaston swooped around him to go talk to her. At the moment Gaston was in his element. This is was Gaston's perfect life. The admiration, attention, and love of everyone around him and the promise of more in the future. "So, I don't think we have meet", spoke Gaston toward the maiden.

Ace just rolled his eyes when he saw Gaston walk right around him to get to one of the ladies present in the tavern. I'm sure that was one motive for his actions with giving away the free food. Ace continued to walk forward towards the exit and noticed that he got Rixsch's attention. Well at least I have a chance of discussing about the cloaked man and the piece of paper with Rixsch without that Gaston interfering. Ace continued to walk by and gave Rixsch a look with his eyes to the door, basically signaling to walk out of the tavern. The cavalier pushed the door open and walked to the side of the tavern where his horse Troy was waiting. The lighting around the tavern was dim, which was good for having secret discussions.
Hopefully Rixsch will open up about that paper and what it read. I could do with a little practice, exploration, and definitely money. Ace turned the corner to the side of the tavern and looked for Troy. His steed was waiting patiently around the corner and gave a slight neigh when Ace appeared.
"Hey Troy, are you ready for a bit more adventure?" Ace asked the horse while he pulled out an apple from the satchel hanging off the saddle. He held it up close to Troy's mouth and continued to speak as the horse ate, "We have a chance at making some more money. That means more apples for you and more-" Ace thought for a moment about what he would spend the money on if he even got any from this. "Not sure exactly what yet. We just have to wait for the guy to meet us out here now." Ace waited patiently besides Troy, awaiting for the young bandit fighter to appear.

The blonde man signalled for Rixsch to walk out of the tavern. He was suspicious. Was this man a thief, looking to make a quick bit of gold? 'heh,' Rixsch thought 'thieves are terrible at defence, so if they attack me, I'll probably end up doing more damage all in all.' He looked over at Gaston, who seemed to be infatuated with a random woman. "So that's his true motive." He said to himself before shaking his head and walking out of the tavern. The skies were dark, but Rixsch knew that he had a good while until dusk approached. He walked to the other side of the doorway and leaned on the doorframe. He looked over the man that led him outside. He didn't seem to be a thief, most thieves didn't have horses, as they can be fast but have low stamina compared to going on foot. He seemed to be a pleasant man, as well, the horse seemed to be taken care of rather well. Still, he laid his hand on the pommel of his sheathed blade, he had to be ready to fight if it came down to it. "so," Rixsch begun "you wanted me for somethin'?"

"Of course I caught them myself", spoke Gaston to the maiden as he began to talk about his hunting story. "Do you really think a man like me needs back up when hunting a few deer. Sure I plaid on the sidelines when I fought with Rixsch, but Gaston is a true hero."
"Yet you are not the one who took down the bandit chief", spoke the maiden. She was hurting Gaston's pride. The burly man did most of the work, no all of the work. The kid just took down one guy, thought Gaston was not going to say that out loud. He wanted too, but he was not. Not only would it burn a perfectly good bridge, but it would also ruin the reputation he was building up for himself. Gaston was not about to turn all the good thoughts and great rumors into whispers behind his back and mockery. It was just one foolish women and her nick picking.
"Yes yes, Rixsch did kill the chief, but Gaston most definitely took down the most brigands. Even the brightest of us have to share the spot light."
"Really", spoke the women as she looked Gaston up and down. She could read the burly man like a book. He was the type, she thought in her mind. The type of guys who would go around boasting about how they did this or talking about how they where this good. She bet he did not even kill the bucks he was feeding everyone. He probably bought the meat from the butcher and acted like it was his kill. It would not surprise her. He was already throwing coin around like it grew on trees. "So you are telling me that you carried all four of the bucks you caught on your back and marched into the village."
"Of course I carried them", spoke Gaston with pride. "However they where not all at once."
"Oh, so the plot thickens", spoke the maiden. She was keen on proving this fraud to be a fraud. Though Gaston was not lying in this incident. He did hunt down and kill 4 separate bucks. He just was unable to carry them all back to the village at one time.
As Gaston talked away time with the women he did not notice his young friend stepping out the door. He was too busy trying to convince the one none believer in the room just how awe inspiring Gaston was.

"You wanted me for somethin'?"
Ace was glad that he caught Rixsch's attention. Now it is just time to seal the deal. "First of all, my name is Ace Wilzor, son of Troy and Alana Ritz-Wilzor of Ostia. I already know your name is Rixsch, the bandit exterminator. Ace grinned, "Not a bad nickname to have I suppose. I respect that you don't tell the whole world of all your successes unlike a certain someone we know. I believe our successes should tell themselves to the whole world." Ace had a slight flicker in his eyes. He couldn't wait till he did something so great that all of Elibe would know about it. Hopefully, it wouldn't be something terrible that he had done however.
"Anyways, I did see a mysterious cloaked man come up to you inside the tavern. He gave you a piece of paper I believe. You seemed quite fascinated with it. I don't want to be completely in your business, but I did sort of want to know what the paper said. All you need to tell me is that whether or not it's a job for a mercenary, has treasure, or would be beneficial for a warrior in training. Basically, I am proposing to help you in whatever that paper said, if it needs helping of course.
I wonder what his response will be? Ace put his hand on Troy's neck and awaited for an answer. He petted the horse softly and thought about his dad, who his horse is named after. Ace recognized that Rixsch was still standing in front of him...

"hmm..." Rixsch thought to himself 'well, I thought noone saw that! But I don't even know what's in it for me, let alone him.' He finally spoke to Ace "Firstly, I don't really call myself a 'bandit slayer', I mean, there was only about four of them in the entire camp. Secondly, you wish to know about this?" Rixsch pulled the piece of paper out of his pocket before saying "well, I would say 'bugger off' to almost any person, especially the unsavoury sorts of people in that tavern, but you seem like a decent man, who isn't obsessed with fame or coin, so, I shall tell you." He turned and looked up at the sky "several years ago, my parents were kidnapped by a group of bandits, which is why I was around the bandits I apparently 'slayed', now, this piece of paper is hopefully a lead, as it reads 'I know what you want, come to the entrance to the village at dusk', so, frankly, I don't know what is going to happen. Maybe it's gold, maybe it's experience, maybe it's nothing of the sort." He looked back at Ace "so, if you wish to come along, you may. Now, I believe there is food available..." He said before looking towards the door to the tavern. He looked at 'the great Gaston' becoming flustered by the woman's constant questions, and smiled 'heh, looks like someone doesn't have his stories straight.' "uh... Ace, was it? I sorta need to deal with Gaston, he seems to be becoming flustered, and we don't want that, do we?"

"Listen here women", spoke Gaston as he began to rub the back of his head. "If you don't want to believe me then don't believe me. If you want to say I am fraud then say I am a fraud. However do not contest my skill and generosity simply because you are having a bad day."
"Excuse me", spoke the maiden as she looked at Gaston. She was sure she almost had him, but now he was starting to shoo her off and began to talk to somebody else.
"It is exactly as I said", spoke Gaston as he got out of the chair and began to walk away. He stopped long enough to pose and speak. "Gaston is the greatest hunter this land has ever seen. On this day I killed four bucks and gave away its meat to the tavern so everyone can enjoy a meal. Instead of enjoying that meal and having a good cheer you decided that you wanted to try and break down Gaston's character as if I was a dirty con artist. However Gaston will not be insulted, nor will I let you ruin me good deeds", spoke the man as he walked away.
"Well back to square one", whispered Gaston under his breath as he began to look around for somebody else to hang out with. It was then that he noticed Rixsch had vanished from the spot he was at earlier. "Must be mingling", he spoke to himself. Gaston still needed to find something else to distract him. The maiden had left a bad taste in his mouth. Who in the world did she think she was to keep questioning him like that. Did Gaston not just give them free food and story. Bah, the common man. They are never satisfied! You give them a inch and they demand a mile. Gaston stopped for a moment and looked around at everyone else. They seemed cheery enough and not trying to take away from his glory. Gaston was letting one bad egg ruin the entire bunch. "Bah humbug", spoke the burly man to himself as he rubbed the back of his head. "Alright lets go and try to find my small friends", spoke Gaston aloud as he began to look around for Rixsch.

What a sad tale. We both have lost our parents... Ace began to think about his parents, but then heard that Rixsch was allowing the cavalier to accompany him. "Ah I see. My condolences for your loss. I will go with you to make sure it is not a trap." Ace began to think back to when he and his friend Lorna fell in a trap set by bandits. The pair managed to free the other captives with the help of Laus paladin. It was quite scary and Ace didn't want Rixsch to go through the same experience.
"Uh... Ace, was it? I sorta need to deal with Gaston, he seems to be becoming flustered, and we don't want that, do we?"
Ace nodded at the mention of his name, so that Rixsch knew for sure. He chuckled when he heard that Gaston was becoming flustered,"Nope we don't want that," Ace continued to chuckle slightly, "I will wait here next to the tavern with my horse. You can go and help Mr. Gaston. Ace was still petting Troy's neck and the horse gave a slight snort. Ace grinned and thought about Rixsch and Gaston, and how they are an unlikely pair. This will be interesting.

"Ah I see. My condolences for your loss. I will go with you to make sure it is not a trap." Ace said to Rixsch. He was shocked at some of these people, most would just walk away with empty apologies or they would wish me luck, but this Ace seemed different, he seemed to be helping through compassion, rather than helping me for money or for fame (looking at you, Gaston!), 'heh, I guess some people are different.' Rixsch thought to himself. When he mentioned Gaston, Ace chuckled and said "no, we don't want that. I will wait outside of the tavern with my horse." Rixsch merely nodded and said "see you in a bit, then." Before walking into the tavern and looking for the giant, who appeared to have disappeared into the crowd "gods, for such a large man, he sure can camouflage himself well." He said to himself whilst scratching the side of his head and looking around.
(sorry it took a while, had a really busy weekend XD)
