"Hum, then Bones it is. I will drop the courtesy if you prefer... I can't read the words on it but, this obviously seems to lead to a temple."
Blaze took a long drink from his beer, it was obvious it wasn't this woman's real name. But even so, if he were a bandit and not from here, he wouldn't exactly say his name so easily. He decided to respect that and noodled to the woman to make her understand.
(Theses pirates certainly tried to go on a raid on this temple, but without reading the indication, it's impossible to correctly navigate. They probably got that and came back to the port to seek someone who can translate it.)
He tried his hardest to read a few words
"Temple... Sand... Hidden... i can only read brims of it, my parents knew a bit of it, but i never got to study it... Wait, i know this word... Arca... Arc... Grrrr damn."
This word, Blaze saw it so often in the hands of his father, but yet he never knew what it meant. This word was making him uneasy at best, and he might not be sure of it.
"Well, from the looks of it, here's my thought. This map leads to a temple hidden that seems accessible from boat, but actually isn't visible from the sea. This map leads to the closest safe spot to land, then where to walk in order to get to it. The pirates probably thought they wouldn't need the explanations but it obviously failed. It might be what we called in our town the "Sand Temple". It's a legend, so i assume it isn't true, but it does mention a temple hidden inside the desert with incredible treasure within it."
If Nabata's desert are known for one thing, it is the treasures it holds. I wouldn't be surprise if this temple actually holds great things... But i'll be honest, there is one word, here, that bothers me. Arrrchivedia??? I don't know. Well, what do you say Aeos? First, you check the map, and then you make a proposition. How about it?"
Blaze knew this map held something mysterious, this word that his father constantly repeated, and the fact that the temple can only be reached with a specific path makes it all the more interesting. Blaze however deeply sighted from his inability to read it and took another drink. Maybe he just didn't regonized the word correctly. It might be possible. In fact, the more he tried to read, the less confident he was in that word.
(My father always thought about Archive. I don't know what this town is, but...)

Ooc- due to arcadia being a myth in universe. I'm going to guide us away from the mainland. Everything else is pretty much the same. Woah what happened why is there double quotes? --
As Aeos began reading, he started to describe the things of the map. Blaze was more knowledgeable on the subject then he let on. The map did lead to some sort of old temple. Possibly an archive of sorts, one from the ancient civilizations.
"Arcadia? Though I'm.. reading the word archives... I think.. Mayhaps.. temple archives? Or acacia? Arches?" Aeos pulled the map closer to his face and squinted. He couldn't make out the word properly.
"Tis be too faded and smudged for me to confirm the proper symbols." The smudged symbols were all so similar it was easy to get confused.
"No matter what word it was.. the map be leading us to the sea.. and towards the southwest. Out towards the Kafti sea's.. large.. Well.. desert island with the southern mountains." Aeos was familiar with the island. Thanks to the merchant ship that sailed him to Badon.
"Tis be a few fishermen settlements there and it be a common first stop for merchants.. The mountain side hath hidden caves along the coast were pirates like to hide... So despite the island's sandy nature the island be not entirely deserted. If thy winds be with us we can take a boat out and be there in few hours." He stopped reading and handed the map back to Blaze. Then took a drink of his beer. The warm drink did taste good with the sweetness of the honey.
"The inner parts oft the island be much like the mainland. Desert as far as the eyes can see... Until thou reaches the sea. Or the mountains. So if we are to check this hidden temple.. we best be prepared for it."

"Hey do you all have The Green", spoke Bones as she looked at the bartender. The man gave her a concerned look and shook his head in denial.
"Sorry, but we stopped serving that particular beverage after the last incident with the ..., just know we don't sell that one anymore", spoke the barkeep as he turned back to what he was doing before.
Great, thought Bones as she resided herself to staying sober. The last time she drunk some of that it got her good and drunk. It was a pity they did not have any. Bones though was starting to build up a tolerance so she knew she would have been fine, well she thought at least. She thought the same thing the first time she drunk it too. Then she started to see fairies and men made out of fruit.
"So to put it lightly what you two are talking about is a temple you can only reach by sea, but can't sail up too. That means we will have to get onto a boat and then get off and then walk through the desert", spoke Bones as she ordered some standard whiskey. "Well before we even get on with this adventure/ translation/ quest, what is the pay out going to be. Truth be told you have my curiosity", bones was lying. "However I want to know what we are hoping to get at the end of this", profit was the only true thing on her mind. "Besides aren't these ancient temples covered in traps and stuff. So whatever it is it better be important. No one wants to go through a long hike through sand and heat just to find a rock with a goat carved onto it."
Pulling back on her bottle of whiskey Bones began to drink away. She wondered what in the world she was getting herself into. Then again she did not really have anything else to do. She might as well go on a adventure, as long as there was some coin on the other end though.

Ooc : No problem, it is for the best
Blaze took a long time to gather all the informations. He finally said to answer everyone :
"All right, i don't trust destiny but i think it brought us here. Aeos, you seem to be experimented with travels, so i guess we can rely on you to get the pirate ship ready to sail in order to get there. Bones, you are obviously a great fighter and not having you at our side would easily mean death with this island filled with thiefs, bandits and pirates. As for the desert, i spend the last years of my life traveling them, let me get supplies, clothes and gears to make it easier. Well, this will be the hard part, once we get into the temple, traps are my kind of thing, hell, if my mother didn't taught me some morals, i would have been a thief myself."
Blaze stopped a moment, realizing the alcohol was getting slowly, but surely to him. He decided to stop drinking and eat a piece of bread to slow down the absorption.
"The three of us can make it easily to the temple and discover what is inside of it. You said it was talking about archives, no matter what type, they are valuable. If we don't find anything of much interest, we can write down the archives and sell them. Nabata is filled to the brim with school, knowledge is one valuable resources.
For the payment, we will have to see until we are in the temple, but here's how i see it. I take 10% of what we find, you two get 45% each if you don't see any objections. I don't need money, i have wandered in the desert for 4 years, so i can survive without much resources, my interest is elsewhere.
Now, a few things before you two make your decision."
Blaze lowered his voice so that only Bones and Aeos could hear him.
"Aeos, don't lie to me, your ability to read Low Dragonic is extremely rare, so i can understand you want to protect it, but just say that you can't tell that to me, i would understand. If any of us lies, we won't be able to trust each others and this could end us all in a temple filled with traps. So trust is mandatory, don't lie, just say you don't want to say this or that. Bones, it might be embarrassing but i'm going to have to get you a cloak, and not a simple one, if you wish to travel the desert, you will need a cloak adjusted to your body, so i'm going to have to get the textile and get most of your... metering. Well, that applies only if you are in.
So, anything to add?"

"It.. Well it is smudged.. a bit." The dragon in human form even pointed to the specific symbol that was giving him so much trouble.
"But I did say everything else correctly. And.. hold.. did thou just say we are to be using the pirate ship?" Aeos tilted his head a bit in general confusion.
"The pirates we just.. disposed of? Doth thou even know which ship be theirs?" He questioned. He then held his head for a moment then ran his fingers through his hair. The prospect of finding any sort of archive was tempting. Nabata was infamous for it's desert ruins. And given that the map they found was written in dragonic then this archive room must be something related to dragons. Related to his race.. to his heritage. He sighed softly. Then tilted his head and spoke in a low voice.
"Alright. Alright. I.. believe I shall join thee on this expedition. Worry not though.. I.. do know the ancient language well enough to guide us through what ever traps.. or runes that happen to be written on the walls." He then pulled a small peice of bread for himself and munched on it. Blaze started to talk about cloaks.
"Hmm.. Bones. If it be too much trouble thou can use my cloak. It's long enough to shield me.. it will be more then enough for thee. Do not fret for my safety.. I am Nabatan born and bread.." He paused for a moment then sighed.
".. Bred. Accustomed to life in the desert heat. This.. travel.. according to the map should not be too long. Once we hit the island.. we can gather some supplies fromth one oft the villages. And the entrance to the ruin.. should be.." He grabbed the map once more and did a few mental calculations.
"About a half day's march. Though I have no idea if this ruin still be standing above the sand. We might have to dig.." He stopped talking and then took another sip of his beer.

"Well, it's always good to have a fellow desert man at our side. I saw the pirate ship when I was on the top of the roof. I'll manage to get, but don't expect to have any loot in it, thief and opportunist probably already took everything by now.
However, something bothers me... Nah, it's nothing."
Blaze was feeling odd towards Aeos. He felt like he was honest and only wanted to protect some of his secrets, which was fine by him. But years in the desert had the despicable effect of making him more careful than ever. The young men decided to get over it and finished his drink.
"If that's all, then let's make haste, someone might have already requested the boat. I'll make sure we can use it, and worse case, I got a backup plan. You will find me pretty easily at the docks!"
"See ya soon! I'm counting of the both of you." Blaze left with a smile and readjusted his small hat, he tried to make a friendly and comforting face, like he always do, after all, they only saw him in battle, not in his usual habit. As he went outside and smelled the fresh air of the sea, he felt like he just awoken himself from a dream. The pirate, his close to death experience, and a goal that just went into his hands. Blaze didn't had to think, he just knew he had to follow where that map led, even if he can regret it.
The young man rushed towards the ship. A man came to see him at the moment he presented himself in the dock in front of the ships
"Now that's even bigger from down here..." said Blaze in awe. "That's what she said. HA!! Good one right? ... Okay that was easy, but still, pretty cool one right?" said a men that took him by surprise. He looked like a sailor with experience. "That was pretty low coming from a men of your age sir, but I'm here for business, me and two other fellows took down the owner of this ship here." "Ha! The pirate ship, damn son, you are a beast! The chief was a force to be reckon with!" "Not... really. I was just a distraction." "Yeah we all saw that, why did you even ran on top of the roof! But you sure caught attention young man, I like that. The ship should be yours but... All right, be fast, someone wishes to buy it, it's technically to the town, but I'm sure you can take it and no one would notice. But hurry up and get back here fast." "Thank you sir! Give me some time, I know just where to go."
Blaze ran, happy with his acquisition. He went left and right in different shop of the town : Water, food, clothes, torches. Blaze bought a large amount of material and tools for the exploration. After half an hour, he presented himself to the dock and jumped into the ship. The ship was of medium size, with large sail, and great arsenal for offense. The wood showed already some marks of usage but it was okay.
"Now we wait..."

OOC- Sorry About the Delay. --
Just as Aeos was about to make some pleasant small talk Blaze enthusiastically got up from his seat and headed out for the docks. He sighed softly. Aeos was really interesting in asking Bones about her gauntlets. They were an interesting design and looked like they caused their opponent a lot of pain. But he eventually dismissed himself , gathered his belongings, got up off his seat, and eventually followed Blaze.
"Better make sure he doesn't get himself into more trouble." He finished what remained of his drink. The monk of the desert left his share of gold for the meal and service then left the pub. While Blaze stormed on ahead towards the docks, Aeos took his time. Carefully making his way through the crowds and out towards the ships. When he caught up with the young man Aeos helped him with his supplies. The dragon in disguise did a thorough inspection of the ship.
Just in case there was any structural damages or hidden pirates. Aside from the slight wear on the wooden ship everything seemed to be in order. It would be difficult to man with just the two of them. Possibly three of them if Bones decided to join up. But maintenance of the ship was manageable, especially for such a short trip to the nearby island. Aeos was familiar with ships and seafaring in general. Plus his hidden strength would be quite the boon in this endeavor. Aeos took a large breath of air. The salty tang of the sea and the scent of the wood greeted him. He channeled the power of his stone for a moment to read the wind. The winds would be good to them today.
"Today is a good day to sail."

Blaze looked at the ocean and its immensity. Just like the desert was an endless horizon of sand, the ocean made him feel so small compared to the rest of the world. He took deep breaths, trying to memorize the scent of the salted water, the wood that was already attacked by the sea and the sound of waves. A new and fresh experienced. The young man smiled and waved at Aeos when he met up with him. He was however disappointed that Bones didn't showed up.
"Too bad the lady isn't with us... I really think she could have helped us." Blaze was conflicted on this point. He both liked her and despited her. He eventually scratched the back of his head and finished hesitating. "I suppose we will have to go. All right, let's set sail! And I think that Bones would be the kind of person to join later... Maybe"
As the ship began its journey through the ocean, Blaze quickly felt sick, but fought against it to follow Aeos orders. He wasn't experimented on ship and without the martial artist's help, he wouldn't have been able to put on a single sail. However, thanks to his quick and powerful legs, Blaze could quickly reach high points of the ship, just like a monkey playing around. As long as he was moving, Blaze would feel alright, but as soon as he would hit the ground, his stomach would begin to cry for help.
Blaze got closer to Aeos after he put the sails on. "So, from which part of Nabata are you from? If that's not too much to ask. I'm from the Est of the center of the desert. A small, peaceful village without much story." Blaze wanted to know a bit more about this men who both surpassed in strength a berserker, and also emanate a peaceful and confident feeling. Also, he had something to ask him. After this fight, Blaze realize how illy fitted his fighting style is for him, he had to make a chance, not copy his mother, but inspire a style from her. He has the words, he now has to make sentence with them, but how? And this men might hold the answer. Maybe a fighting style that merges swordplay and kicks. They weren't even at halfway, so they had time to chat.

OOC- I'm going to write this as ambiguous as I can. So that if/when Bones returns she can jump in.
-- Aeos took the wheel of the ship and slowly sailed it towards it's destination. Blaze was proving himself to be a quick study in terms of ship sailing. They were about midway between the mainland and the island before they had a chance to engage in pleasant small talk. Blaze had expressed some concern over Bones. Aeos will admit he wasn't sure if the young woman made it with them or not. He assumed she was on board and simply stowed away on the ship. He didn't know much about the woman except that she was an excellent with an axe.
"Well.. if she is hiding around below deck that is perfectly fine. I know the sea be not friendly to all stomachs. Thou should hath seen me when I first set sail. Twas a terrible mess of chills and vomit. Eventually I gained.. my sea legs and worked upon my first ship mostly as the cook." He chuckled softly as he gave the wheel a slight turn. The sails above them were full of winds.
"Hmm.. well my parents be nomads. We did not settle in one place long enough for us to have what thou would call a hometown. But we.. tend to move up and down the coast line. We mostly stayed away fromth the heart oft the desert. But we would have to cross some oft it in order to trade with the settlements near the Eturian borders. If my memory serves, this be the time of year where mother and father should be following the mountain coast towards Lycia to arrive in time for the salmon run." His mind wandered a bit to his childhood. To the sounds and scent of the salmon swimming up stream in order to head towards their breeding waters. And how mother and father would catch them in traps and cook them in a variety of ways. No part of the fish would be wasted. His mouth watered with the thought of fresh salmon stew. He shook his head. This was not the time to get side tracked by thoughts of fish.
"Though I be curious about you Blaze. Tell me a bit about your life in the middle of the desert. You be handy with the sword. Are thou self taught?"

OOC : Perfect, let's keep it up so that Bones can always get back in if able to.
--
"So your parents were nomads. That is unexpected, the desert is a harsh place, and you must be build very tough to have survived your childhood in these lands." Aeos story was indeed very interesting. A wandering couple in the desert. While it wasn't that impressive, taking care of a child in such environment is one impressive feat. Blaze began to wonder, could he have survived the desert if he were younger?
"Handy is a big word. I'm not self taught. Only partially. From your story, your parents are still alive... My mother was an outstanding swordmaster, she taught me everything until she got very ill. My father died in my early age, so this probably made her more frail. Pirates once raided our village, she met her fate this day. I was 14 and I wandered in the desert with the little skills I had.." Blaze took a deep breath and looked at the clear blue sky. It was appeasing and calming. Thoughts were everywhere around his mind. The recent encounter with said pirates still left a mark on his spirit. "Even though I think I was very lucky to say the least. Soon, luck left and skills came in. Stealing, mapping, running, healing and killing. The desert taught me that and this is where I stand today. I can explore safely any temple and there is no place out of reach for me in the deserts, well. Almost..."
The young man then sighted and looked carefully at the eyes of Aeos. For a moment, he wasn't a kid, he was a serious, mature and wounded adult. "You see, I love legends, legends make people dream, believe, it can give hope. I always wanted to see a dragon myself, not to fight, just to meet one. At first, I looked everywhere but as I heard rumors, I realized I would be a dead piece of burned meat whenever I would meet one ahahaha!" Blaze quickly realized he embarrassed himself and he hid his face with his hat for a moment. After a few second, he finally said : "But as the swordsman I aspire to be, I'm far from it. My mother didn't taught me how to properly fight, only certain moves that are... situational to say the least. For what can be called the real fighting... yeah, mostly self taught and copying from my mother with poor success. But you gave me a good idea when you fought that monstrous Beserker. But enough with me, where did you learn to fight like that? And give me details, I love a good story! Blaze got back to his innocent and friendly face, hopping to drown his own sadness in the story of Aeos.

Aeos gave a small smile at Blaze's comment about being tough to have survived a lifetime in the desert. Little did the young swordsman know his childhood was longer then that of any human. His adolescence and teenage years were literal centuries. Plenty of time to learn the way of the land and how to survive in all environments of the desert. Pirates that raided a village in the middle of the desert? Strange.. He dismissed the thought as Blaze continued to talk about his goals and dreams. He couldn't help but chuckle at Blaze wanting to meet a dragon.
"Well, perhaps these ruins might give thee an insight towards dragon kind. I know they be creatures of legends. Rumors. And supposedly humanity did battle with them in the ancient past. You know.. maybe?" He kept his eyes trained around the ship. The pair of them were making good time as the island was now close enough that the pair of them could see the tiny homes that lined the shore.
"Though if you want something.. oft a dragon experience I suggest that thou visits Bern. The native wyverns oft the land are kin to dragons. I believe they were called 'lesser dragons'.. if I remember what the scholar told me. Then again the man did say it be a theory.." He shook his head. Aeos didn't know much about wyverns. Except that he and wyverns did not get along. The first wyvern he met was too wounded to do much. But the second one he met in Ilia, was a healthy wyvern whom forced his dragon side out. The creature had stolen Aeos' food and tried to claim itself as the alpha of the area. We are King of the.. Aeos quickly mentally silenced the voice of his dragon side. He wanted to put that whole incident behind him.
"As for where did I learn to fight? Well thou can thank Nabata for that. I learned the basics oft the martial arts from my father. It.. was a means to cope with the.. frustrations oft desert life. Father.. according to him was one oft the best fighters in his prime. And though he.. is past his prime now.. but is not quite yet an old prune.. taught me. Twas a combination of discipline, mediation, training, and learning. And for a long time.. I believed that my skills with the martial arts was good... until recently.. I was bested by another." The dragon slowly pulled the ship out towards what he could see was a dock of some kind.
"That man gave me.. tips? No.. that not be the right word. Lessons? Yes. That be a better one. Though his lesson I.. have been improving my craft."He nodded softly.
"I shall begin the process oft docking us. The winds be in our favor but the current is not. Move the sail a about 15 degrees to the right so I can adjust the angle. Then be ready to pull the sails down about half way. Unfortunately I do not know this boat to well.. so sorry if this be a rough landing."

"I know little about dragons. My father told me that they were superior creatures in every aspect. As for wyverns, they are most boring, they are just wild beast, dragons are said to have intellect, this map is a proof they were a race far stronger than humans. Yet, my father told me that magic were the gift send to humans to fight dragons. Too bad there is no way to determine its veracity." Blaze saw the land, they were getting closer and closer and soon, their minds wouldn't be able to flow and discuss as freely as now. However, as he got his eyes back to Aeos, he could have sworn he saw a sign of struggle. But it was too small to be sure.
"So you learned from your father. Martial artist are rare theses days, and your strength is really high for someone of your bulk. But I just can't imagine you getting beaten, I guess everyone is human after all. I did lost my sheer amount of fight, but I always have a backup plan. Just like gambling, I always make sure I don't go without a safe way out. And that brings this, friendly advice, don't gamble with me if you want your purse to stay safe." Blaze was lighten up the atmosphere as they both began to build stress during their approach of the docks. He will have to adjust the sail soon. After hesitating a bit, he went quickly to get a large bag, but realize it was a bit late. The young man made swift use of his agility to escalate the ship and begin the maneuver.
"We still have a bit of time, but only a bit. Here, look at theses." Blaze took out of the bag large armored plates. They were specifically made for the legs. Blaze quickly put them under his jeans, revealing massive and powerful legs. "You see, appearance is treacherous, my biggest strentgh is not my blade skills, nor my agility. It's my legs, after so many journey and endless walking, they are just that strong. And you gave me the idea!"
Blaze began to do some kick moves, first with hesitation, but the power of his legs were enough to compensate the weight of the plates. After a small warmup, Blaze began to chain his moves, spinning gracefully and smoothly. He would have never thought the training of his mother would have payed off in this way. But it was working, he wasn't using the high acrobatic skills to dodge like his master, but like a weapon. The current of the water was putting his balance on edge, and warned him that they were getting too close to toy around.
"Okay, let's just no try to freak out half of the island. Look, let's land here, we should have enough space to move around. If you need anything to be adjust, just say the word."

Aeos had to hold back his laughter. The way Blaze described his differences between dragons and wyverns. Aeos thought his describtion was accurate to an extent. The dragon in human form held some grudge against wyverns but he knew that they were far from mindless beasts. Aeos once had a pleasant conversation with a young rider and her red wyvern during trip through Bern. She explained that Wyverns had a language all their own and a rider has to learn it. It wasn't an easy job but it was very rewarding and then he recalled how she gave her wyvern an affectionate pat on it's chin. He shook his head for a moment. Focus.
"It depends what you mean by intelligence. A charming young wyven rider once told me that those "wild beasts" hath an intelligence all their own. Dragons.. I believe had as much intelligence as humans. But fell to the same folly as them. Those oft the ancient past grew too strong.. too prideful.. what be the saying? The bigger they are the harder they fall?" Aeos jerked the wheel suddenly when he sensed a strong shift in the wind. The boat made a hard turn in order to keep itself at it's proper angle to the doc.
"Sorry. The wind changed." He sighed.
"I.. am working on.. the docking. To be honest.. this be the first ship I have docked. Er.. and well the first ship I hath.. piloted. The merchant ship I traveled with.. I learned much. But with out practice.. well.." He scratched the back of his head.
"Hmm.. as for.. my strength matching my bulk? Well.. thou didn't touch my muscles like.. Bones did. Er. Please don't." He told him before Blaze got any ideas.
"But yes. I had gotten beat. Always someone better? Tis why or rather what makes you want to improve. But I shall keep thy gambling talent in mind." Aeos stopped talking for a while and continued to maneuver the small ship to the dock. He ordered Blaze to do some things with the sail and after a few tense moments. Aeos managed to land the ship. The dragon missed the dock entirely and beached the ship. Fortunately there wasn't anyone nearby. There wasn't any heavy damage but it was still quite annoying. They weren't completely stranded. The ship could be pushed back out to the sea with the help of a particularly strong breeze and a small bit of man power. Aeos made his way off the ship.
"Well.. I landed us. Uhm.. Welcome to the island." He grinned sheepishly.

Aeos knowledge about wyverns were most interesting. Blaze nodded to show that he agreed. (I'm young, I must gather multiple points of view before judging. Maybe he really likes wyverns and I offended him...) Blaze however didn't had the time to follow everything, the land was getting closer and closer and he was now fully focused on the landing. The young man quickly ran up to the sail and adjusted them, however, their landing got quickly out of hand and they were able to reach the beach without too much struggle.
"Well, congratulations for your first landing sir Aeos. It wasn't that bad, however for the way back, this might cause a problem." Blaze got out of the ship and looked how they landed. "I think that if we remove the sails, it should be fine." It was more to have confidence then actually being the truth. Blaze got back on the ship and gathered some stuff. (Let's see, water, blades, knifes, cloaks. All set.) "You should get ready, I don't really want to visit a town, in theses small villages, everyone knows each others and two strangers with cloaks might be suspicious."
Blaze however left another cloak on the ship. It was for Bones, if she was in there and actually hid, well, she would have what she need to travel. Blaze also put a bag full of supplies. "Well, if Bones wants to come, she just have to take this." The young man however quickly felt something. He got back on the sand and took some of it in his hand. He than proceed to look at the sky and smelled the air. He was trying to gather his sense to check the weather, and it wasn't looking really good.
"Aeos, I have a good news and a bad news. The good is that the weather is perfect for our journey, half a day under theses conditions shouldn't be a problem, even for an unexperienced traveler. The bad news is that there will be a sandstorm tomorrow. And if we get to the temple, we will reach it when the sun will begin to fade. So we will have to either come back during the night, or wait until the sunset, but with a sand storm waiting for us. The last option is to wait for next morning but I don't feel like sleeping here." Blaze bit his finger, he wasn't the type to go all in without backup plan, but they had to take a risk. If the temple was already discovered and inhabited, then attacking at this moment of the day would lend them an advantage. Despite knowing that his guts were rarely betraying him, he wasn't alone. If he was, he would go right now, but with Aeos, he has someone else and deciding like this might be selfish. "If you don't know, just flip a coin. Let Lady Luck decide it."

Aeos took in the sights and scents of the island. Although he was accustomed to the scent of the sea meeting the desert something about the scent of the island was different then that of the main land. He could see smoke coming from one of the little fishing villages that lined the coast. Grilled fish. Mmm. Blaze suggested tat Aeos got ready for the journey ahead. He sighed softly. The dragon really needed to stop thinking with his stomach sometimes.
Aeos kept his gaze out towards the island though. Out towards the mountains that lay towards the south west. He closed his eyes and gently began reading the spirits of the wind. The weather for today would be perfect for exploring. Two which Blaze seemed to confirm. Aeos tapped further into the power of his stone in order to get a stronger reading of the weather around him.
His eyes were shifted into their lizard like state. But they were closed and could not be seen by Blaze. His finger nails had changed color from a light pinkinsh to the black. His hands were currently curled up in light fists so they wouldn't be seen. It seems that the weather would shift sometime in the night and create a sand storm for tomorrow. Blaze also seemed to confirm the future shift in weather in his own way. The dragon let out a soft sigh before he cut off himself off from the power of his stone. His hidden features returned to normal. Aeos rubbed his eyes lightly.
"So.. it would seem. Hmm.. perhaps the strong winds oft the sandstorm might lodge the ship free. Provided if we leave the sail up and stay here to monitor it. I know thou wouldn't want to be spending the night here. But if we go out in the desert.. and get caught up in tomorrow's storm.. that could be dangerous. Plus we doth not know how long tomorrow's storm will last." He paused for a moment and thought to himself. Perhaps.. if i were a bit stronger I.. might... no. No. We.. still need control of our own powers first.
"I would prefer us.. being safe and simply waiting the for the storm to pass. We might not need to bother the local villages at all. Thy ship seems like a fine place to use as a temporary home. I can catch us a meal oft fish for dinner. Thou had bought us plenty of fresh water." He sighed softly.
"I.. do be worried for the security oft our ship. What is to stop bandits from stealing it.. if the two of us be out exploring. I.. suppose if that happens.. then we would haft to bug one oft the villages for ferry back to the main land." If they had a proper crew then this would not be much of an issue.
"Well.. I hath voiced my concerns. But if thou wishes to explore today. I shall not complain. Though perhaps the coin flip would be the fairest oft choices." From his pocket Aeos grabbed a small silver coin. One that bore a design of a crown on it's front and the other of a emblem on it's back. An old Bernese coin if he wasn't mistaken.
"We shall use coin to decide. The crown be the choice to proceed for today and the coat oft arms be the choice to stay until the storm passes." The dragon in human guise placed the coin over his thumb and flipped it up and let the coin fall onto the wooden deck. --
OOC- The choice is yours. Crown or Coat of arms?
