"So there is a beast out here", spoke Bones to herself as she began to march through the woods. She had heard rumors about it back at the camp. It was suppose to be some kind of monster. Bones figured it was just some kind of new bear that was larger than the others or maybe some weird looking wolf. It was probably nothing too shocking, but Bones curiosity was peaked and she needed to find out about this beast for herself.
For many years Bones was a bandit in Bern. She was use to going out into dangerous territory and scouting out land and routs for future raids. She figured she would do better traveling alone and as a result she avoided forming a party with others. Bones had no intention of fighting the beast. She would leave that to the fools who thought the coin was worth a tango with a unknown animal. No she simply wanted to see the creature. Once she saw it and gained some information on it she would fall back and get out of there. The plan may have been set, but the execution would be a lot more troublesome than she figured. Beasts where not to be underestimated and Bones was not foolish enough to charge one.
Even if she was not going to engage the monster in direct confrontation Bones was still going to need a way to escape the beast if push came to shove. She was already sure that the monster was faster than her. So that was not something she was even going to try. Bones was going to need some kind of distraction or object that would keep the beast back. For that she brought her trusty utility belt. One pocket away was her trusty mines and bombs. Not to mention her whip and vampire gauntlets on her arm. If things got real bad she could always fall back to her conventional axe. Bones was sure she was ready for whatever was in the woods.
Bones left early in the new dawn. She wanted to be up early as the morning beast awoke with the sun. She figured the beast hunted in the day and left into the woods to try and find it.
